I too agree that Mbappe should not be moving to Real Madrid this season, but rather move next season when they combine him and Halland because only then his true potential will be revealed at Real Madrid. Also it seems that PSG are ready to let him leave on a free transfer next year, as they’re yet not keen to accept the huge bid made by Real Madrid.

I agree. It is really nice to see world stars like Lionel Messi coming to this league. Ligue 1 was a really boring league for me until this transfer happened. It was not easy for PSG. Their very first offer was rejected because Messi was still in talks with Barcelona also. But now, we are watching him here. As long as this kind of moves come from the big teams of this league, the quality will also increase at a high rate. Monaco can also do this, not only PSG. Yes i totaly agree with you mbappe is the most decisive player in psg alongside di maria they scored many important goals unlike neymar who always seem lost and keep the ball too much so it would be best to keep mbappe plus he is young and still can improve.

You are discussing about a league, not a team so only PSG is not enough to help Lique 1 is good league. Ligue 1 has lower quality on average than Bundesliga. I know PSG dominates Ligue 1 and Bayern dominates Bundesliga but there are more competitive teams in Bundesliga than in Ligue 1.

This is 100% true, Ligue 1 is probably down there with Serie A as the worst two of the big leagues, I think Ligue 1 actually lost a spot to Portugal this year didn't they? So, they are not even in the top 5 league this year anymore, still would say that Ligue 1 viewed ton more than Portugal league, but at least they are not as successful overall. Even with PSG getting to finals a year ago, that is still not enough because nobody else does anything, they are just not good at all.

Only way out of this place is that if you could pay other top teams a lot of money from viewership and do strict FFP about how they need to spend only a certain portion of it on players and rest on the team itself to improve teams, that could have a long lasting impact on making it better. However right now PSG gets all the money and attention (deservedly) and nobody else is cared at all, it is a league of teams for PSG to beat (except last year, which Lille managed a wonderful championship).

High viewership will be around for the first few matches. Those numbers will most likely dwindle with time but it would maintain a relatively high figures that would be more sustainable. The messi effect was an expected one. I could remember how juventus tv views went haywire in the first couple of months. Same will play out here which is a good thing for ligue 1 considered they recently dropped to 6th places on top football leagues.
