I guess my preferences from the Ligue 1 this week will be like this.

I want to trust Monaco and PSG both this time. PSG should be able to beat Auxerre away under normal conditions. Auxerre are really vulnerable in defense and you know how powerful PSG are in the offense.  Smiley

When it comes to Monaco, I can't say their recent form has been great. They lost 3 games on the last 5 weeks. They would like to make up for the Marseille loss too and the Toulouse game is a good opportunity for that in my opinion.

Monaco had a good start to the season but their recent form does not inspire confidence. Having lost to Benfica in the Champions League and Marseille in the league, Monaco are struggling in defense. Toulouse have been showing a balanced performance lately and their successful defensive organization, especially in away games, shows that the team is effective in collecting points. I think there will be a scoreline in this match between two offensively effective teams.

Auxerre have been performing above expectations in recent weeks. However, since their game has a risky approach, I think it will not be sustainable and they will go down again. PSG, on the other hand, could not win last week despite dominating the game and missing many positions. PSG, the leaders, can get back on track to keep their rivals at bay. PSG is the favorite in this match.

I saw the news today that the owners of PSG are ready to sell the club, they are ready to do it as soon as they receive a good offer. Are they really ready to give up without achieving their goal of winning the Champions League? But what can I say, maybe they are just tired of investing money in the team, the constant pursuit of expensive players, and PSG is losing its popularity on the world stage, and in the Champions League they are now below the playoff zone, which no one expected.

Personally I feel Paris Saint Germaine isn't performing well enough to be at the top of the French Ligue 1 table but because they're not facing a strong competition from the other to teams in the league, that's why they're still dominating. In their game against Nantes, you could observe that the French champions were playing like an average team. They're unbeaten in the league no doubt but I feel it's because the none of the teams they've faced this season in the league have shown enough resilience.
Yes, that's what I see, in terms of the game, there's actually nothing special about them, but with fairly easy competition in Ligue 1, they can comfortably stay ahead in the standings.
As a comparison, I'll take us to the Champions League. In the Champions League, they have difficulty competing. Why? Because in the Champions League they have many competitors who are at the same level as them or even at a better level than them. That's something we don't see in Ligue 1, so they can very freely dominate the league.

Honestly, Greenwood was always a great player, his only problem was the legal troubles and the fact that he got acquainted from all of them and turned out to be innocent, he really had no reason to stop playing, and Marseille got a great player for far cheaper than they should. Greenwood of course got a lot of backlash because of it, maybe they were right or maybe they were wrong but at the end of the day not anyone decides his future anymore, those are done and he is playing and he is scoring like crazy.

Marseille got that biggest boost from signing him and because of that I believe they may finish the season second place as well. Without greenwood, I can see them still try their chance at top four, maybe they would barely miss and be fifth, or they would be fourth, but adding greenwood suddenly made second place a possibility and third place a guarantee, that's his difference to the club and he was bought for only 30 million, which is nothing for a player like him.

That is true as he is averaging almost 1 scorer point per game with 9 goals and 2 assists in 13 games. That's incredible considering what he has been going through in recent years or I think the last two years or so. Regarding whether or not he is innocent, this is the tough part about getting sued or being confronted with allegations like that, some of them you can never prove to be wrong. It's out there and you gotta cope with it.

But from what we can tell so far this season, mentally he seems to have mostly recovered and is now getting back in full shape. If he keeps scoring like that, I would be surprised if he doesn't find his way back to the Premier League. Maybe Manchester United thinks that they should have supported him better than that. The fact that he is scoring so much for Marseille is impressive. It is not the easy goals all day long for PSG, but for a club that has been going through struggles last season and is now on a good way to cement their 2nd position in Ligue 1 with the help of Greenwood.

I don't want to talk about match fixing because even if it was done it shouldn't be beneficial for both teams because the match ended in a draw. Fatigue due to a tight match schedule is much more reasonable so that PSG's performance decreased slightly so they were unable to get full points in that match. For the competition in Ligue 1, there is no big pressure for PSG because their strength is much better than other clubs.
A draw can certainly still make PSG quite relaxed in facing the competition in Ligue 1 because PSG can still have additional points even though not in full and what you said is also quite reasonable if we see how tight the match schedule is at the moment. In addition, PSG has also never lost in Ligue 1 this season even though they have played thirteen matches and that can certainly be a clear conclusion that PSG is still quite strong in Ligue 1 even though in other competitions such as the UCL PSG cannot look strong.

That makes sense, tighter match schedule might be the main reason why PSG made mistakes in that match, but actually there is one thing that people around me hear quite often stating that there is match fixing, haha that ridiculous but maybe there is too actually, I don't know, I don't want to think about all that and tomorrow PSG will play against Auxerre at away and Auxerre is much stronger than Nantes.
I don't really have high hopes for PSG in the UCL competition, they performed very badly there, what do you think whether PSG can win against Auxerre and then whether they will also be able to beat Salzburg in the UCL to secure their position which is currently in 25th place.

For the next two matches, I am sure PSG will secure full points because Auxerre and Salzburg are not such tough opponents so it is much easier for PSG to win in those matches. In UCL PSG always fails to give their best and maybe this is what Luis Enrique needs to improve so that they can be much better in the future.

Usually, at the start of the season, we see some they have better performance than we can ever expect to see from them while time after time they lose potential, Monaco and Marseille had this situation in the French League at the start of the season. While we know that compared to PSG, both Monaco and Marseille couldn't have a good performance and they were usually not in the good form since they couldn't even have the good players for their teams because of not having enough investment in their teams but still, we see Monaco is having a close race with PSG. However, in the end, usually, PSG wins the race.

Both Marseille and Monaco were in good form at the beginning of the season. Their performance was also stable. So I thought that this season Ligue 1 would be competitive. Marseille and Monaco might fight for the title. And make PSG's road to winning the title more difficult. But Marseille and Monaco failed to maintain their good performance. At the moment, these two teams are far behind PSG. As a result, the road to winning the title is getting easier for PSG day by day.

Ligue 1 clubs do not spend a lot of money to form the squad. That's why we have seen PSG's dominance every season. Ligue 1 clubs have to raise big funds to strengthen the squad. Otherwise, the value of Ligue 1 will continue to decrease day by day. Ligue 1 is already known as the farmers league.

Unfortunately, some of the match of big and top team ended not according to expectations, PSG should have won the match but they let Nantes get draw and every PSG attack effort was not really optimized after Nantes managed to equalize to 1 - 1.
No one knows why this result could happen but they made many people lose money when made them the favorite to win the match, now PSG only has difference of 7 points from Marseille who is in second place and Monaco who also has the same points as Marseille.
That generally happens because we can see how the attack efforts made by PSG are problematic at the time of the final finish so that even though there are many opportunities they fail to take advantage of them to score goals. Another factor is that they have a slightly denser match schedule so that their concentration is divided and they do not play in better condition and on the contrary the opponent takes advantage of that even though they are still unable to beat them and are only able to hold PSG to a draw.

Seven points difference from the challenger can be said to be far for the competition in Ligue 1 because we do not see the competition in this league being more competitive than other leagues. PSG is still comfortable in first place and maybe they will try to prepare for the Champions League match in the future because they will face a much stronger opponent.
The draw obtained by PSG against Nantes certainly surprised many parties, because the two teams currently have very significantly different positions and performances in Ligue 1, so it is very natural that many speculations began to emerge about the results of the match, with their enormous dominance in match, a busy schedule is not a relevant reason to cover their failure to win in the match, considering that they actually controlled the ball almost 85% and took 24 shots with 10 shots on target.
I think all possibilities can be happen in the match including match-fixing and it is no longer something surprising in football so far, after the biggest match-fixing scandal was exposed in the Serie A league previously.

My choice was almost the same as yours but I reconsidered betting on Monaco's victory because I was a little skeptical of the odds given by the bookies on Monaco's victory in my opinion the odds @1.71 were too big for a club that was certain to win because the opponent was weaker than them, but if you look again Touluse won a lot of wins from their last 5 matches so I think Touluse will give their best performance in this match I only dare to bet on the Asian total for every match other than PSG because I think the other clubs are still doubtful.

PSG for me is trusted to win this game best they wouldn't want to give chance to loosing points further since they have had some set backs already recently. With Monaco I don't want to be too sure because somehow I think they have been unstable and inconsistent so that is making me think at anytime they can disappoint and so staking on them to win would be very risky but you could stake that they get to score a goal or two.
I can't see any team in France that can surpass Paris Saint-Germain. Neither Monaco nor Marseille can surpass Paris Saint-Germain in the French league. Paris Saint-Germain is the most dominant team in France. The league is always under their control. They couldn't show the performances they expected in the Champions League this year and that's why they were disappointed, but I don't think they will allow any surprises in the league. That's why I think they will win the match.

Auxerre will be hosting PSG in tonight's encounter with the visitors whom I like calling the domestic champions can only cause damage here in the Ligue 1 but not where they have bigger teams all over Europe coming to compete and to become Champions of Europe in the CL. The home side have been putting more effort to get to the top, out of 13 games they won 6 lost 1 and drew 6, occupying 8th position on the league table at least they're better than Brest on the log who are in the champions league.
PSG are the chosen ones in this game but that doesn't mean the home side won't put up a fight to get something to make the fans cheer but let's not forget that PSG have the UCL to play and the game against Auxerre could definitely be a draw game or the home side might get a narrow win after all PSG are using 7pt to beat Marseille on the table so losing this game won't affect them in any way.

What happened in the last two PSG matches, of course Enrique learned a lot from those mistakes, they lost to Bayern Munich and drew with Nantes, that's a serious problem that must be fixed immediately. Against Auxerre will be a moment to immediately rise even though they are currently very comfortable in first place, but this victory is very much needed as capital to face Salzburg in the Champions League later. So I think this match will also be won by PSG.

Of course Monaco doesn't want to lose any more points in this match, especially since this match will be played at home, of course it will be additional capital to beat Toulouse to increase confidence after losing to Marseille last week. Besides that, I always think today's match will affect the next match, so I'm sure Monaco will try hard to win this match so that it will be good capital to face Arsenal in the Champions League.

Their defeat against Bayern isn't really relevant, there weren't any significant problems there, they just simply couldn't cope with Bayern's pressure because the match was very tough for both teams. So it was obvious that PSG are strong, but as it turned out just not as strong as Bayern, that's all. Moreover, they got a suspension of an important player and finished the game with a reduced number of players.

I never saw ligue 1 as a competitive league even with the many stars playing in ligue 1 so far, the dominance possessed by PSG is too great in ligue 1 so that it makes many other teams unable to compete in the race for the title and that happened since PSG became a rich team, losing mbappe did not have a significant impact on PSG because so far they are still stable and still become the strongest team in ligue 1, so that's what makes ligue 1 not as attractive as other leagues in Europe, because every rival team faces a big challenge with PSG strong financial advantage.
This dominance is what makes it feel boring as if there is no resistance from other teams even though some quality players are on other teams, PSG is still the leader at the end of the season. As long as there are no big investors who boost the finances of other teams, PSG will always be the favorite every season. Losing 1 player is not a big problem because management has a replacement for Mbappe and maintains his performance to be more stable.
Ligue 1 is a league that many people call a farmer's league, because the competition here is not competitive and tends to be boring. That's because Paris Saint Germain's dominance is very strong in Ligue 1 so that the competition seems to belong only to them. I think when they are not in Ligue 1, then maybe the league will be more competitive. But that might also make Ligue 1 less popular, because besides dominating, the presence of Paris Saint Germain is also one of the reasons why this league is still in demand by many people. Some want to see how far Paris Saint Germain has developed, some compare it to the Champions League, and others.

There are several big clubs in Ligue 1. But none of them are willing to spend a lot of money to build their squad. On the other hand, PSG's owner is very rich. At the same time, he is also ready to spend a lot of money to strengthen the squad. That is why every season we see PSG building the strongest squad in Ligue 1. And every season PSG dominates Ligue 1 and wins the title.

Monaco and Marseille started very well at the beginning of this season. We thought it would not be easy for PSG to win the title this season. But teams like Marseille and Monaco have already fallen far behind in the title race. PSG is 7 points behind Marseille, who is in second place in the table. Since the performance of these teams is not consistent, I don't think it will be possible for Marseille to close the big gap of 7 points.

PSG lost points, but to be fair they are so much far ahead of everyone else that losing points here doesn't really look like that much of a big deal, I think that doesn't have to be something that could change all that much, it will definitely be considered a normal situation without much trouble at all.

I understand it may look a little different at the moment, but we can definitely consider the situation to be all that much greater, and because of that we need to focus on what to do and how to get better without much trouble for PSG, since they have time. They won almost every game this season there, 13 games and 10 wins, that's more than enough for them and they haven't lost a single game so far and that's the most important part. I understand a lot of people are looking into this and that doesn't mean and that would be making something considering bigger deal, so I think we should not consider what we are dealing with at the moment as well.

Why don't you also include Lille, Lyon and Marseille, because I think those teams still have a good chance to win. Because after all, their opponents are also teams that are at least in the lower zone of the standings even though it is basically not entirely easy, but if it's just for betting 1x2 I think it's very worth trying or including in bets about the top five teams right now. Because for me, even though I don't make in-depth analysis and or predictions,  at least just considering their trends so far, then I personally am still confident in choosing these top five Ligue 1 teams for the next match to win.

Marseille is having a bit easier time scoring, plus after all the allegations, Greenwood is finally figuring out a home for himself, he has scored 9 goals so far and ranked third if I am not wrong at top scorers and could even fight for top place this season as well, he is having a wonderful season.

If Marseille lost, they would have been 23 points, and Monaco would have been 29 points, the gap would have been way too much, so this game was incredibly important for Marseille, you know how sometimes people say it's a six point game? This was truly a six point game and we have seen that happen. I believe that we are going to make a big difference when the time comes and when that happens, we are not going to be shocked about it. We need to consider how to get better results in the end, and for that to mean a lot, we need to consider how to get a much better result from Marseille and Monaco, because they could get closer to PSG.
