I think PSG will keep focusing on the Champions League, where they're starving for triumph. Domestically, they focus on consistency and keeping important players fit for European contests. Nice and the others use it to assess reality, regroup, and improve consistency. The true battle is for second, with PSG likely to win unless something extraordinary happens.
because basically, PSG shouldn't have tough competitors in the French League. Even though several clubs are trying to reach them and perhaps PSG's performance has declined quite a bit, they are still at the top of the standings. We can say that the competition in the French league is not as strong as in other leagues. That's why they have a lot of opportunities to focus more on the Champions League as needed. but what happens is not that easy. because they almost didn't qualify for the previous group phase, almost no. But ultimately they were able to qualify thanks to their victory in the last match which incidentally was certainly very tense. And next, PSG will also play Real Sociedad, so it shouldn't be that difficult if they can really optimize. .

If a club wants to compete with PSG on a fair level, any club would have to invest at least 300 - 400 million to buy new players. Given what the transfer prices are these days, that amount is probably still not enough. The PSG squad is so much more worse that it would be embarrassing if PSG ever fails to win the title. The difference between the clubs is so huge that money does indeed count here. I wouldn't say this if PSG was worth 100 million more because they have Mbappe, but the whole team is extremely far away from all of the other clubs. The Ligue 1 title is an obligation for them.

That is actually a good point about comparing PSG to other teams because I think PSG is a rich team they can buy any player or coach they want without any limit like the other teams while a team like Nice can't do that during the next transfer window the winter and this can make a huge gap between PSG and the other team.
As you said if a team wants to start competition with PSG they should invest too much money in their teams and they need rich owners like PSG have.

They still often have internal problems, especially between players. Having a lot of star players has its own risks, because usually players who are considered stars will have very high egos and they already feel that is the case when some star players who are currently no longer part of them.
One more thing, privileging a player will definitely cause a sense of jealousy between players and I think they have also felt that too, so they should learn from experience.
In fact, this star player's ego problem occurred when Real Madrid built the first generation of Los Galacticos where they brought in many world class stars in the hope that they would become a very strong team. But in reality it's not like that. Lots of star players means there will be lots of egos for the coach to manage. And I see that PSG seems to be experiencing the same thing. I agree that there are no players as great as Mbappe there, but other star players will of course cause jealousy among the players.
The team's special treatment towards Mbappe which was too excessive of course made the other players not like this.
I think PSG is too eager to keep Mbappe so they will do everything they can and that is a big mistake, in a football team it is not just one player who is able to change the situation but there must be chemistry between players in all lines to be able to carry out a team performance the good one.

Real Madrid is different now, they are the best team in the world and they have never placed any top players beyond the size of their team so star players would prefer to play for Real Madrid because this team is more than anything.
That's right, PSG management special treatment of Mbappe created a gap within the team, indeed Mbappe is one of the best at the moment and that cannot be denied. His presence can make a difference, but on the other hand forcing him to stay is not a wise way, because it has the potential to make the club's bargaining value smaller in the eyes of star players.

Apart from that, who knows, releasing Mabppe will make PSG better, because it reduces one of the biggest egos in the dressing room. The contribution of other players becomes more visible, gets fair treatment, and the spotlight as a good player does not always focus on Mbappe alone. In a narrower sense, the presence of star players sometimes makes things easier, but often makes the club worse and less stable.

I agree about the way Madrid manages star players, no player puts himself bigger than the club. I think if Mbappe moves to Madrid, his character will change a lot, and his ego will be easy to manage because he is not the only star who has to be treated like a king who already has all the awards as the best player.

But I was not expecting to see a good performance again from PSG during this season and I was thinking they were going to fail this season because they lost players like Messi and Neymar during the summer and they used a new coach while we couldn't be sure about the performance of Enrique in PSG.
But it seems mostly because of the more investment they had in the team, PSG is going to win the title of French Lague again,
PSG currently stand as the best teem so far in the french league this season, no other team currently can really contend well enough with them currently in the Ligue 1. PSG will most likely win the title this season except they drop point so badly that they are unable to get back on their feet of which I'm not expecting such from them any soon.

The current dept of PSG is a good one when compared with others in the Ligue 1, the only fear I had with PSG after they lost Messi and others was the fact that their chances of winning the UCL will be reduced of which is the current situation but with the Ligue 1 I never doubted them been able to win and defend their title because I know their dream has currently gone beyond just the Ligue 1 but to wanting the UCL. PSG did invested so much in their team over the last transfer window with the mind of getting the UCL by the end of this season but then I'm still hopeful for them but the chances are still very slim
Hasnt PSG's Ligue 1 domination become predictable? Not fair to Monaco, Nice, or Marseille. However, their spending hasnt led to European success. Losing Messi was disappointing, but their underlying issue is deeper. They're trying to balance domestic dominance and UCL success.

Also, Mbappe. He's PSG's lifeblood. I think PSG would look like other top-tier French teams without him. Who can fill those shoes? No one yet. Its about constructing a cohesive squad, not just buying stars. With the UCL dream looming, Im interested how they'll handle this. PSG needs more than vast cash to handle the rough path ahead.

After being slumped at the bottom for a long time, Rennes can now return to the top 10 of the standings and their previous victory against Clermont allowed them to set foot on the right path. Rennes is actually one of the strongest teams in Ligue 1, it's just that they experienced a bad start to the season this year which caused them to have to climb from the bottom place. However, Rennes can still provide a good performance and it seems that the competition for the remainder of this season will heat up again with Rennes joining. The gap to the top 4 is still quite manageable considering that there are still many matches that need to be played and also the resilience of the performance of the teams above will definitely experience a decline in the future. I can't wait for more intense competition after this year ends.

PSG is the best team in Ligue 1 is a normal thing since they have a budget that no other team could have, it might require a fusion of two teams in order to keep up with them, yet PSG efficiency comparing to the money that was spent is not that good.

Lionel Messi departure will not affect the team as the departure of Kylian Mbappe will be. I even say that PSG without Mbappe would be another Nice or Monaco or even Marseille. The management of PSG still failed to find a good alternative for Mbappe and I don't think it will be an easy job anyway to attract an experimented and talented player to a league like this. They better to try their own Yamal in my opinion.

The same scenario is always happening again. I thought that PSG would be diminished since the early season but it was able creating another comaback at the middle of season. It susprises anyone about how PSG was undoubtfully coming back stronger with the new chemistry by its players. Im sure that many people are willing to see the new club to dominate the competition but it's unlikely to happen caused by PSG once again repeat the same story like last season.
The gap between PSG's lead and the chances of Monaco or Nice claiming the trophy has become even more formidable. Im quite disappointing to see that but at least we were able taking the advantage of PSG.

The club is just giving us the easiest way to win the bet. That's pretty much the same like when napoli was dominating serie a. PSG is now starting to be on fire again and im thinking that mbappe is going to win another french league trophy before he will leave from there. Enrique is bringing the difference to the gameplay of PSG. It's having long and short passes. Nice and Monaco have been putting in tremendous efforts, however, the likelihood of PSG securing the trophy once more is high.

I don't see any ego problem with first generation of Los Galaticos and they was success won La Liga and Champion League trophy, but difference class with PSG when building up many star players from Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mbappe but they failed totally in Champion League without het higher achievement. Right now many star players prefer with their ego than playing as work teams, always try how to show their individual skill and I saw it with PSG last season when they building teams with many star players.
Personally, Mbappe have little ego exactly when playing with Lionel Messi last two season and he can't work well as teams working until PSG failed in champion league without get higher round qualifying.

Actually that's not true because as far as I know PSG doesn't really give special treatment to Mbappe but PSG also gives the same treatment to every player but it's just that PSG relies too much on Mbappe so whatever happens other players have to provide support to Mbappe and Mbappe has to be the one to score. I often see other players scoring but for some reason it always goes to Mbappe and this is what makes the club's performance unstable.
What is even more worrying is that when Mbappe leaves PSG, other players will have difficulty replacing Mbappe's performance because until now I have not seen another player who has skills like Mbappe.
Regarding PSG wanting to keep Mbappe, it is no longer possible because according to the initial agreement before this season started, they were supposed to extend the contract or if not, Mbappe had to leave without any fees or could be called leaving as a free agent and PSG did not have any power to be able to keep Mbappe.

Jealousy happens in football and in a top club. Paris Saint Germain will standout to become one of the top clubs in the world of football but they failed to utilized their opportunities full-time. They failed in all angles and I would say they have everything needed to win the UEFA Champions League but they couldn't due to the signing of big names and these players play with ego since they're bigger than the reputable standards set out for them in the club. Kylian Mbappe is an important player for PSG and losing him to any club will become great loss for the club.

Guys, you are too busy talking about PSG, Nice, Lens, or even Lyon that you forget that Brest at the end of this year has moved up to 4th place in the standings. If we look back, Brest is a mid-table team and has often finished at the bottom of the table in the past few seasons. However, this season they gave different results and continued to achieve consistent wins in every match. Brest are unbeaten in the last 6 matches and they have only lost 4 times so far. This is a very good record considering that they can now be in the top flight and have quite a big point difference over teams like Lille, Marseille and Lens.

I'm curious whether Brest will be able to finish in the top 4 this season or will they return to mid-table because the competition will be increasingly difficult in the remainder of this season and if they let their guard down then that could possibly happen in the future. Well, I actually expect something different every season, but if we talk about PSG they will still come out as champions.

I didn't pay attention to Brest at all during this season and to be honest this team was totally unknown to me because I didn't see good performance from this team during the last season.
But after the game between Brest and Lorient in which Brest won the game with a 4-0 result, I think we can even see a miracle from Brest during this season if they continue the good performance.

I actually don't really know this team, but as far as I remember, last season they were a point producing team for other teams and yes, this season they have become a strong team and managed to dominate the top flight for a while. Even though we are not all that familiar with Brest, at least this season they have proven their achievements by beating teams like Lens, Reims, Lyon at the start of the season and drawing against other teams like Rennes and Nice. It is clear that it is not easy to match or beat a team that was consistent last season and this time it is Brest's turn to prove that they also deserve a place in this season's competition.

The problem of Paris Saint Germain isn't about  the number of quality star players they have as a team but because of lack of tactical approach that's good enough to see them win the only trophy that's eluded as a club.  They've hired a whole lot of top European managers to help them achieve their biggest aim in sports but  unfortunately for them, none of them have been able help them achieve that aim.

Thus Luis Enrique's first season with the club and he was able to help them progress to the knockout stages of the UCL after playing in the hardest group of the season.  Hopefully he's gonna go a step better than the club's best achievement in the UCL and that's to win the competition.
The harmony within their squad is still lacking, making it difficult for them to build chemistry. Because after all they are a team that cannot rely on individuals alone, and like it or not, indirectly harmony in the team is very important to be able to create a good atmosphere, be it between players, coaching staff, even management.

Building good chemistry is the main point, apart from improving good performance, this will have a good impact on the future of the club, because it is useless if PSG has star players, sufficient finances, an experienced coach. If PSG cannot establish cooperation between all the players, they will not cooperate with each other inflate the ego perhaps PSG has achieved success in winning the title it desires, such as the Champions League, and yes, it is true that PSG should learn from experience why clubs such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City were able to achieve this success thanks to their coach who was able to unite all the players and not differentiating each other which creates envy for other players.

That is why chemistry is the main factor for the club to achieve maximum results and I am sure that if Luis Enrique is able to make PSG a club with high solidarity and is able to establish cooperation between players and management this will have an impact on PSG's performance, after all PSG is still playing well in League 1, but yes, it cannot be said to be truly strong if they have not won the Champions League title, even though PSG have star players, their performance is still far from strong UCL rivals such as Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

PSG had the most stars last season but even with the most world class stars they did not do well in the Champions League last season.  When PSG made one surprise in last season's transfer window, we football fans thought maybe PSG would win the champions trophy this season but they forgot to buy midfielders and quality defenders in their rush to buy so many strikers. The result was that while they did well in the strike positions, they did not perform well in the midfield and defense positions due to which they underperformed last season despite high expectations. PSG has less star players this season compared to last season but the team is doing well this season with the arrival of a new manager. The limits to PSG's improvement may remain limited to Ligue 1 this season.
When PSG had a hand full of world class players such as Messi, Neymar and mbappe they were unable to still win the champions league and upon this I have continually built some doubts that if they couldn't win the UCL with all these players present then it will be even tough for them having one star player alone and hoping to win the champions league.

Their problem doesn't really lay within the presence of Star players been in the team but with their attitude of team play because that has a lot to do with how well they will perform and the results they will get at the end of the match and the season. PSG don't have a chance a at winning the UCL this season because their form currently isn't stable and the competitiveness of the UCL is such that they need stability and consistency to be able to win the league title this season. But the Ligue 1 is much easier for them to win which I think they should focus on winning the Ligue 1 and probably prepare better for next season UCL.
I understand your concerns regarding PSG's Champions League struggles. Not knowing how to drive a Ferrari is like that. I don't think PSG's problem is star power. Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé are any team's dream trio. What good is it if they can't cooperate on the field?

See Luis Enrique's method. Despite the team's struggles, he's progressed in the UCL. Tactical setup matters. Unless PSG can find a game plan that maximizes their star players' skills, they're just a bunch of brilliant people playing together. And that wins titles

Remember the mental aspect. Winning Ligue 1 could boost their confidence, but they must continue it into the Champions League. If they can't get their act together tactically and mentally, I doubt we'll see them lifting that UCL trophy anytime soon

I'm sure this match for Lyon will be easier than the last one. With 2 consecutive wins in the last two matches, Lyon started to get hopeful. They were at the bottom of the league. They are now up 2 places. If they are lucky in the Nantes match, they will win the match and continue to climb to the top. Frankly, I wasn't very hopeful about Lyon until the last 2 matches, but the last matches proved me wrong. I now believe that Lyon can surprise any team.

It happened, they were able to beat Nantes, as expected, the teams with a weak attack could not score many goals, but Lyon only needed one goal scored and a good defensive game to achieve such an important victory. By the way, the game was relatively equal, but it was very important for Lyon to win, now they have got out of the relegation zone, and now they need to try to strengthen their positions, such a team should not leave Ligue 1.

Lyon are now out of the relegation zone with that victory. That makes their 3rd consecutive Victory. They won the match with Lacazatte's goal in the 49th minute.

Lyon is a team with history. A team with class. Such a team getting in the relegation zone is always very concerning, especially for their fans. They were in last place and now they are out of the relegation zone. But the danger is not over yet. They need to be consistent in matches and stop dropping points. Their upcoming match is against Havre and if they manage to win that match, then they might be able to jump 2 steps ahead in the ladder of Ligue 1.

I honestly don't understand how Lyon is a team that dropped so much, okay, I know that the level of football is increasing more and more, but last season this team gave a lot to talk about, it was even thought that It was the team that faced PSG so that it could stop them, and they were with Mbappé, Messi, Neymar, and a lot of thought was put into this team as well as Lille, of course I also considered Marseille to see if they could do something , but really they didn't do much, maybe these things could happen better because it could be something relevant but yes, now they have a Mbappé who is only doing things well, because he wants to leave, he wants to impress Madrid to see if they decide For him, something that I don't see as viable, this is a player that doesn't seem good enough to me to go to the white team, I consider Haaland much better because he is more focused on doing things much better, he seems better to me than MBappé himself .

Well now with reference to this, I want to emphasize that Luis Enrique also, although he is not a coach to my liking, perhaps because of his way of being, but he has done wonderfully with this team, of course I must consider that he should not forget I have to have a team without Mbappé because when the Frenchman goes to another team, he has to manage to get out of all this well, which I don't see as being so easy when there is an updated game plan and they are there all the time including Mbappé for his games, whether good, bad, losing or winning, because Mbappé has been there and I believe that it is time to start having the alternatives of him, perhaps putting him to play in other minutes to see the performance of The players will have to face it, at least one game they should play like this, because it is not that easy, just seeing the example of a Bayern Munich with only the absence of a player what triggered it, this is something that has to be considered.

Well, these are the things we can say, I have always thought that, in fact last season with a Messi at full strength and with a Mbappé, even with Ney, well the thing was so that they would have easily won the UCL, but It was not like that, the things did not happen, of course this is not their fault, this is clearly the fault of someone called Ten Hag, for that reason it is because I have always seen that things could happen that way, the person responsible for everything This was always him, no one else, it can happen that every time you have things to do someone appears to ruin everything, of course this was also the fault of the president of the PGS, if he had seen that things were going wrong and did nothing, no? It's just the technician's fault, things are always like that, just seeing the example of the MU is something that speaks for itself, even so the leaders don't fire him, it's incredible, there are technicians that they miss.

Of course this is only what I say can happen, however when I do any kind of things like think about what they are doing right now, they are working with their nails. and all that stuff was left to Luis Enrique himself, who so far has not done badly, it is incredible how they have done it, so things can happen in the way that he progresses, this can be very good.

Now PSG can do many things, epro I have always said if Luis Enrique is not good enough to do things without Mbappé, I don't know what he will do when he leaves and it is very likely that he will do as much as possible and end the contract with PSG That's why, when we see these things, we start playing football more expectantly. This makes me curious because the Sheikh has let things go very badly, at least this season things go well and they win, but it's Something good, it is more than obvious that they have already grasped the level of how to do things well in this Lisuge 1, now things will smile for Luis Enrique.

Kylian Mbappé wants to stay at PSG in the January transfer window

Quote
According to L’Équipe, Kylian Mbappé (25) would like to stay at PSG in the January transfer window. This is despite the France captain’s current contract at the Parc des Princes expiring in June 2024. The 25-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from the French capital but appears to be prepared to stay put for the time being.

Mbappé’s long-term future is still no clearer with several options still on the table for the former Monaco attacker. However, PSG’s financial FairPlay limits mean they are not forced to sell the Frenchman. Therefore, making a potential January exit for the France International forward even less likely, especially when Mbappé would like to stay in France for now. On his 25th birthday, Mbappé had the opportunity to play with his younger brother Ethan for the first time in PSG’s 3-1 victory against Metz.

PSG at the moment seem to be enjoying some monopoly in the Ligue 1 been the toughest and the top team at the moment but then it's not enough for them to become lax els they have the likes of Nice and others who will be ready to displace them at the top position almost immediately, they are five points apart which isn't much for nice to cover.

If Nice wwins their next three fixtures, it's very much possible the will be at the top of the table is PSG loose two or three games at a go.so there are still possiblity of other teams getting to the top tho it's slim but then PSG have got the UCL to face so I think when they resume the round of sixteen at the UCL they will be a bit distracted at the Ligue 1 a d that will definitely be an opportunity for others especially NICE who would want to cover up the gapto the top of the table.

Well, PSG worked hard to be top of the league; so i do not agree that they are enjoying some monopoly. Instead what has PSG done? they have gone from 4 points down the league table to going 5 points clear at the top of ligue 1.

They have taken maximum points when others slipped up and they have done this with a new manager and squad after loosing, Messi, and host of others. This is commendable and worthy of praise and should not be considered a form of monopoly!

PSG is still the champion, they always have the strongest squad in this tournament. No opponent can compare with them in Ligue 1. Facing Real Sociedad is said to be "easy" in the 1/8 round of the Champions League, but PSG still appears cautious and highly appreciates the opponent. If they are eliminated in this round, they will spend more time in the domestic tournament, because I think this season they do not have enough strength to conquer the Champions League.
PSG currently leads Ligue 1 2023-2024 after the first leg. In the last eight times they did this, they were all champions. Luis Enrique and his team will have two weeks off before meeting Toulouse in the French Super Cup match.

Already I knew that PSG will still dominate the league even when Nice was topping the league table, I saw it as temporary because teams like Nice most times starts well but doesn't finish well or they drop form along the line so I've always predicted PSG to top the league table because I've not seen any squad in the France Ligue 1 that can match up the kind of energy that PSG players possess.

I was not surprised by the results achieved by Brest in the match against Lorient because they were not an equal opponent this season because Brest was stronger than Lorient so the results they got were of course quite reasonable because they were stronger than their opponents. In the Ligue 1 standings table we have seen several teams that have shown better changes in improving their position in the standings table and one of them is Brest where for the time being they have managed to sit in the top 4.

Lens have also started to show a better comeback recently but unfortunately they failed to maintain their good trend in the previous match because they were beaten by Nice. But Lens efforts to return to the top 4 are likely to be successful until the end of this season competition. So at the top, PSG is still the one who controls Ligue 1, they cannot be hindered by other teams because as long as PSG has Mbappe, they will continue to dominate Ligue 1.

Brest has been performing well this season when compared with last season. They only have 4 loses out of 17 game played in their league and presently standing at 4th on the table. They lose only to the top 6 team on the table league. This really shows their improved performances when compared to last season.

They are a hard working team that is doing awesome as of now. They had one weak phase and that was three games in a row against Lille, PSG and Monaco and they lost them all consecutively. That were two weeks where they had a down so to say, but other than that they have been surprisingly stable across all the games. I didn't see that they were doing so well in Ligue 1 as I didn't really follow them. Maybe they are a team to keep an eye on from now on.
