But I feel that this was more a question of time until Nice begins to lose way more games because they have been playing too much on the edge all the time. It has been subject of discussion here before, but if a team scores only one goal in almost all of the games and then has to defend and keep a clean sheet, that's not a recipe for success in the long run. As soon as their defense starts getting some trouble during games and as soon as the other teams score the first goal, Nice instantly had a problem. I knew that once their defense fails, their games will be a fail.

When a team only relies on their defense to keep a clean sheet after scoring 1 goal, then when one day these tactics have been analyzed and solved, then you will experience defeat after defeat. This is not the same as a counter attack where players use counter attacks to score goals. Currently, NICE has lost several points in the last 5 matches and as previously discussed, the title will definitely belong to PSG. I think it would be more interesting if we discussed which teams will get tickets to the Champions League next season. I bet it would be Monaco and Brest. NICE's poor form makes me think they have to find a new tactic before losing their chance at the Champions League.

That's true and we also have to look at the performance of a team as a whole, currently the results obtained by the Nice team are quite good, but overall their performance is not very impressive and the Nice team is not able to maintain consistent performance, I doubt that they will be able to compete fiercely with PSG until the end of the season to fight for the championship title.
so far I always repeat what I said before that Nice is just a team that is lucky enough to be able to take advantage of the situation when several big teams are having matches in other competitions and I don't consider Nice a challenger or competitor to PSG because the performance of these two teams is very good. very different and if we look at the point difference, Nice is already very far behind, 8 points is not an easy difference because if Nice is a strong team, they must be able to secure at least 3 consecutive wins, but that is a very difficult task.
meanwhile, for example, Nice can get 3 consecutive wins, it is very impossible because PSG will do the same thing and it is impossible to make a mistake because PSG always really hopes to get the title in League 1. on the one hand, this team is already aware that only in League 1 is It's full of hope because in the UCL it looks like PSG won't qualify again.

we have to realize that Nice will eventually lose control and be overtaken by the teams below and I really believe that if that happens at the end of the season and maybe Monaco or Brest will take over.

Isn't it already obvious Kylian Mbappe wouldn't be extending his contract with Paris Saint Germans this season? If he wanted the contract, he'd have done that few days already,  that's a tempting offer to him from the club but he has been mute over the contract placed on his table.
Mbappe's contract at PSG still expires in a few months. However, PSG has discussed a new contract with him several times but there is still no result. It was even rumored that PSG would firmly sell Mbappe in this transfer market if there was no decision and agreement. However, until now it still hasn't cleared up. It looks like Mbappe will still remain at PSG until his contract ends and then go to his long-standing dream club, namely Real Madrid.

Mbappé has scored 26 goals in 25 matches this season and still enjoys the best benefits at PSG. In addition, his younger brother Ethan has also been promoted to the first team, which could be the deciding factor in his future. PSG is not ready to lose the French superstar. PSG will take another step forward to retain superstar Kylian Mbappé. I believe PSG will be willing to offer a contract with the highest salary of all time, along with bonuses, to try to retain Mbappé. While Real Madrid and Liverpool continue to be said to be in the hunt for his signature.

In the French League, competition is not tight and PSG always dominates everything. But at least in next week's match, they will face an opponent who could be quite troublesome, namely Brest, who is currently in 3rd place.

In the history of confrontation in the last 15 matches, Brest has never won against PSG. Current form, Brest is playing quite impressively with 3rd place, but Brest also has no "door" to win against PSG. However, PSG is not allowed to subjectively underestimate the enemy.
PSG are currently doing well because they have one man who have been in a terrific form so far this season,he scores in most of their games, and what I see him do is breaking records that has been set already. He is the main player at PSG,and really wants to achieve something before he leaves the club. Most persons don't know why Mbape seem reluctant to go now,it's just be sure he hasn't won the champions league with the club that loves him,and that has been his major concern. The moment he wins it with PSG,then there is every possibility that he might desired a move to somewhere else, either England or Spain.

Maybe some people still hope that Nice will be able to provide decent competition with PSG for the title, but in my opinion their chances of competing are over. Along with the bad results that Nice got, it is enough to explain that they are still unable to compete in this competition and PSG will still own Ligue 1 for the season.

Nice were only able to finish in the top 4 for this season and the rest of the time they were just competing for the Ligue 1 title and even if they could be at the top of the standings it wouldn't last long. Along the way, Nice could only always win narrowly when facing their opponents and they never learned how to win by a landslide or win by two points. Maybe Nice is indeed very strong defensively, but what's the point of being strong defensively without being balanced by a strong attack? it was the same as a time bomb that could explode at any time and destroy them.

With Farioli in charge, Nice are making good signings. They were undefeated until the last 5 weeks but they lost 3 times in the last 5 games and dropped a bit in points but they are still in 2nd place. If PSG weren't so good they could chase the title but for now it seems like a dream. They signed Valentin Rosier for right back. Rosier will play there on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. He went from one Eagle to another. I think he will play more comfortably in France, the atmosphere in Türkiye was different. When you play well, there is no problem, but when you play badly, the pressure of the fans can stress the players. I think things are a bit more comfortable in France.

It's true, additional midfielders and defenders are also needed because if you only improve one position it won't support the other positions in a match. I think there are so many players in that position and again whether Lyon's finances can meet all these needs. Because if not, Lyon will also easily concede when their defense is weak and the midfield is loose because they cannot regulate the tempo of the match.

As a young player, his progress is certainly eagerly awaited and especially if he can become a key player for Lyon to escape the relegation zone this season then his market value will also increase and like other clubs doing business, Lyon will always be open to offers from other clubs. Gift Orban is very promising in terms of age and the challenge here still feels new for him, but we can only hope he doesn't cause any other problems for Lyon after spending quite a lot of money to sign him.
Of course relying on 1 player will not be enough to strengthen Lyon so Lyon has to think about options to recruited other players that they really need and hopefully Lyon has enough finances to buy several players because if they don't make changes immediately it will make the condition worse Lyon and they also don't want to be relegated to league 2 because of their performance so far. And if Lyon has recruited the new players they need, I'm sure Lyon will immediately recover and regain their confidence to at least secure their position from the relegation zone.

Gift Orban will definitely show his abilities at Lyon because he believes his career at Lyon will slowly start to become visible because Lyon is a top club in League 1 initially even though it is currently experiencing a downturn but I think this will not result in him being relegated if the management makes changes to improve performance to save the club.

I believe Mbappe can renew his contract with PSG if it expires, and I believe Real Madrid will simply look for another striker to join the club because Madrid are looking for a striker since Benzema left the club, and they believe they will get Mbappe because he is the best replacement for Benzema, and I am very sure PSG will not want Mbappe to leave the club, and I believe they will try to increase his wages so that he can avoid going to Madrid after his contract expires. If Mbappe did not leave PSG if his contract ended, he is not thinking about his feature and he can never accomplish enormous rewards at the teams since they do not have the experience to compete with big clubs when they join each other in the Champions League. let see what will happen at the end of the season if he will be interested in joining Madrid or he will renew is contract with PSG.

The serious level of drop in Nice's form recently has caused PSG to get away from them by 8 points. We are in the middle of the season so it is quite early for that. But I understand Nice as well of course because it isn't really easy to compete with a team full of valuable players for the league title.  Sad  Maybe one day another team in the league would be bought by rich people to create serious competition against PSG.

By the way Brest still continue to surprise people this season. They are like the Ligue 1's Girona now and the only difference is Brest are at the third position in the standings.  Grin  I'm curious about how their journey will end. For now I can say they deserve a Champions League spot.

IMO, in the end Nice will experience a decline even in their ranking in the top four of the Ligue 1 standings. For me, it is only a matter of time before AS Monaco overtakes the ranking occupied by Nice. The only thing that has made Nice tough so far is because they have a defense that is disciplined enough and solid enough when playing match after match. But now, it is starting to look shaky, having suffered 3 defeats in 18 matches. Although in terms of goals conceded, Nice had the fewest with 11 goals against them. However, what is unique is that Nice is dominated by very young coaches. That's why I appreciate the Nice squad being able to stay in the top four of the Ligue 1 standings so far.

Talking about Brest, it's not much different from Nice at the moment. However, what should be appreciated is that they have experienced significant changes this season. Last season, Brest finished in 14th place. This season, half of the Ligue 1 season, Brest can be ranked 3rd in the standings. well, from my point of view, what is happening is that the teams that are usually ranked in the top four of Ligue 1 are currently being hit by poor performance, giving other teams an opportunity. yeah, as we saw with Nice and Brest.

But let's see, this competition still has a lot of matches left. Can AS Monaco, Lille and Marseille improve their performance and overtake the rankings occupied by Nice and Brest. well, we will find out after the teams we mentioned in this post start match after match until the end of this season.
As you said for investors who want to buy one of the teams competing in this league, it seems that so far there is no sign that this will happen.

Finally what Lyon fans have been waiting for has come true and I am sure this will definitely be done by Lyon management because this club is one of the popular clubs in League 1. Seeing a downturn like this makes Lyon reputation bad and this is the first attempt to bring in new players. Gift Orban to help strengthen Lyon performance in the upcoming matches and I am very confident that if Lyon continues to move to get new players to carry out major changes there will definitely be perfect results at the end of the season.
Believe or not, after Lyon brought in several new players, Lyon playing style and appearance will definitely change in performance.

I still believe and hope that Lyon will soon rise to the top 10 in the points table and I want to see after this there will be match against Rennes and Lyon as hosts.
Previously, Lyon was able to get 3 consecutive wins and if they compete against Rennes, Lyon will be able to collect 3 points. I'm sure this sign that Lyon will soon rise and replace Montpellier position.

The story is pretty much old and we already saw Paris Saint Germain wanted to keep Mbappe in the team while Real Madrid tried to increase the offer and put more pressure on this team to finally reach a deal with Mbappe and hire this French player but I don't think if they can ever hire Mbappe easily because if Paris Saint Germain lose Mbappe they will definitely have problems with finding any alternative players to fill his place in the team because there is no a player who can fill his place in Paris Saint Germain.

If Kylian Mbappe exits Parc des Princes stadium, ofcourse the game performance of PSG will decline because there are quite extensive energy of the team that would dropped most specifically the frontlines of PSG. If he leaves, PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Luis Enrique will come together to solve another problem and bring out swift solutions, when I mean solutions it indirectly means PSG will sign potential forwards that would stand a chance of replacing Kylian Mbappe. It's high time the Frenchman make his final decision regarding the moves and trends because it's becoming obvious, it's always on the top trends of football news which have turned to become more tiring to read the news prior to Kylian Mbappe.

It's the wrong time to also see him sign up for PSG, because he has stayed alll this year's in League 1 amd has nothing to write about. He should move out and explore elsewhere.

Not sure if it's Real Madrid bit he should definitely leave. It's time they start preparing for his exit and bring in players as replacement. Even when the best players leave the club, the club still push up. They'll be good without him..
Kylian Mbappe without doubt have been the best Paris Saint Germaine player of the last three seasons as his statistics for the club strongly backs my claims but for the past seven months, there's been series of reports concerning his future at the club. Last summer, the French international was offered many transfer deals including a deal that'll make him the highest paid footballer in the world which he outrightly rejected. The management of the club have tried to convince him commit his future at the club by extending his contract with the club but every effort to actualize that have been abortive.

For Kylian Mbappe not to have extended his contract with the French champions by this time despite playing in the last season of his current contract, I don't think he's interested in signing and contract extension paper at the club. Mbappe I think is definitely gonna leave Paris Saint Germaine at the end of the season i think his potential destination is gonna be Real Madrid

This isn't something that rarely happens, remember how Arsenal was last season? they also managed to top the standings at the start of the season, but as time went by, they failed to show their consistency in the PL, just like in this league, we have to be honest with ourselves that PSG are the rulers here and whatever their condition at the start of the season, they will always be able to rise.

So far they have been quite convincing, but in the next 2 league matches, they will meet strong teams (PSG & Nice) which have the potential to prevent Brest from getting a single point. If that happens, maybe Brest will end up in 6th or 7th place (after 2 weeks of league matches have passed).

Already when I saw Nice topping the league table I just saw it as temporary because PSG was following them up back to back without dropping points and one thing that puts fear in a team is if the club that is second to them is not losing out and continuously winning matches as well, Nice may seem to have lost their confidence in the title race considering the fact that PSG is 8 points above them but anything is possible in football as despite PSG being consistent in winning matches, I still see them losing out in some of their upcoming matches so if Nice wants to keep their title hopes alive, then they have to be consistent and resilient in winning matches.

Since the start of the season, I've had this feeling that Nice performing really well might not sustain their success till the end. I've noticed this pattern in football, especially in the French league, multiple times. Teams would start with great performances, even topping the table, but as the season progressed, they would begin to struggle, even if their key players weren't dealing with injuries. On the flip side, teams like PSG, who initially didn't do so well, somehow managed to become stronger as the season unfolded and clinch the league title.

I didn't necessarily expect the nice to win the league this season, but I did hope they should give PSG a tough challenge by maintaining their form and not experiencing a drop in performance. It's like a story unfolding, where the underdog team has the potential to surprise everyone and make the league more exciting. However, my concern is rooted in past experiences where promising starts often don't translate into sustained success in the world of football.

Checking the recent performance of Gift Orban, he couldn't have good performances recently and he didn't score many goals for his team. Maybe he could be a good option for Lyon if was in good form while he is currently not. I think Lyon should think about investing more to buy better players and improve the team otherwise there is a high possibility for this team to even get relegated.

In 2022 he scored 20 goals in 22 matches with KAA Gent and he attracted more clubs from Europe when he scored the fastest hat trick in the history of Europe. The 21-year-old Nigerian player was left out of the African Cup of Nations squad but this transfer is a big consolation. He has made history by becoming the first Nigerian player to sign for Lyon Ligue One side. The French League is highly rated than the Belgian Pro League so we expect to see an improvement in the performance of the Nigerian striker and hope he will help Olympique Lyon avoid relegation. Lyon is currently in 16th position and needs to do more to avoid relegation but the signing of Orban and Malick Fofana will help boost the attacking force of the club.

I predicted this before, because I saw they couldn't have very good goal productivity. Even though they are considered strong defensively, if they can't score goals, that won't allow them to win. There is always a weakness in the clubs that provide competition to Paris Saint Germain, and this time NIce is showing it.
If only they had a very sharp attacking line, I'm sure they would be close to Paris Saint Germain or even they would be above Paris Saint Germain. Because if you look at it, they always lose narrowly, yes, that happens because they don't have the ability to score very good goals. If they had, we would be seeing a different story now.

If there are many people who say Mbappe is currently in the wrong league, this should have been said long ago. Because Ligue1 is not as famous as other leagues such as in England and Italy, but at least Mbappe is already known to many people through Ligue1 and still has time to move to another league if he really wants it this season or the next season. PSG looks strong only because their opponents are not balanced enough in Ligue 1, but when they compete in the Champions League I think the story will be very different because PSG could lose to another stronger team.
He has been told this long ago from all fronts if I remember correctly. I can't remember a single voice that said he made the right decision when again and again he stayed longer at PSG and accepted new contracts with better conditions.

But now it seems that PSG will prepare a yet unprecedented offer and they want to try to convince him again. It is probably far over 100 million in salaries and could involve gratifications for his family as well. Real Madrid won't be able to compete with that but I hope he doesn't go for it and finally joins a club where he belongs to.
There are too many views about this all but one thing is sure most chances we are going to have Mbappé again here in PSG for one more season because preparations are going for the another extension and as his mother already posted his salary will be increased, and he will stay with these luxuries at PSG which will not available from any other club even most of the fans and others are continence about his quality and discipline in game there is also another talk as few love money and few love game which is just waste of time both are good and having equal level.

I also agreed most chances now Real Madrid will not go for this, and we will have any other club with most chances just any English club can afford and in case of this he will be having chance for the top three English clubs in case of his departure others are having no finances for having him into their team.

But isn't the mother mostly kidding? As far as I understand this, she is asking for 10 billlion if PSG wants Mbappe to stay. Nonetheless, maybe she isn't kidding at all Cheesy

But whatever is going to happen in this drama, staying at PSG would be a massive mistake. If they really pay a salary that brings him several billion dollars if he signs a life-long contract, well that would be crazy. I don't know what to say then, but I couldn't call it "wrong" if Mbappe then says yes as I think every human being would say yes then. Unless you are a billionaire already. But financial fair play would probably not allow that unless they pay his family members most of the money as some advisor or something. No idea whether that would fall under the financial fair play regulation.
