Big changes started first by PSG board members when they decided to stop buying super star players with very high transfer prices and pay them so much money in salary. In the summer, they let some star players left like Neymar, Veratti, Ramos and bought some players with less achievements in their career and has more ambition to win titles like Lee Kang-In, Asensio, Dembele. It is their big strategic change.
This needs to be done if PSG wants the long-term project there to run well because buying star players will actually make the finances and the team not much better and even fail in the Champions League. Luis Enrique will rebuild the PSG squad to be stronger and it may take him time. If you look at the abilities of previous coaches, I am much more confident that Luis Enrique will succeed in bringing PSG to become one of the clubs to be reckoned with in Europe.

Even though when it comes to the club's finances, they will never have problems because the owner is very rich, but to build a stronger squad, that is not a factor that needs to be taken into consideration. Give Luis Enrique time and bring in the players he needs and I'm sure he will succeed in making PSG better.
I think it is time for PSG to change their transfer policy, because it has the potential to violate the FFP and is at risk of possible sanctions, if continues to buy players at high prices. Building a squad filled with star players does increase the bargaining value of winning trophies, but if it is not managed by the right people and supported at the right time it is the same as zero, we have seen the lineup that PSG has built containing Mbappe, Messi and Neymar on the front lines. In fact, almost every line they had was filled with big names, but in the end they failed to achieve success in Europe.

Luis Enrique has the ability to present the Champions League trophy to PSG, and this has been proven in his previous period with Barcelona. I also believe that Enrique can do it again with PSG if he is trusted in a long term project. We know that winning this trophy is not easy, that's why PSG management must give Enrique time to build a squad that has the mentality of winning in Europe, like Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

There was a fierce fight for a while in the match, but I agree that the most critical moment of the game was the penalty taken by Lens, which did not lead to a goal. If that penalty had been a goal, the score would have been different today. The player would not receive a red card and we would watch a harder fight. Maybe Psg would take a risk and score another goal. That's why something happened that changed everything: The penalty was not a goal.

Yes I agree with what you said. That penalty changed everything. Moreover, it was a penalty 10 minutes into the first half. If it becomes a goal then Lens' confidence will increase. The game may be a little different because the Lens players can play without pressure because they have led the goal. It was really the penalty that decided everything. It's not like a penalty in the final minutes of a match or when you're already leading the score. It was truly a penalty that decided the course of the match. Actually, I hope it becomes a goal because it looks like it would be very interesting to watch.  Grin
Last season, Lens was the second most consistent team in the French Ligue 1 and I expected them to even go step better than their finish in the league last season by winning the league title this season but disappointingly, they've failed to be as strong and competitive as they were last season.
Their defeat at home to Paris Saint Germaine during the weekend was expected by many and even bookmakers had already predicted a Paris Saint Germaine win in that particular encounter. The penalty incident in that game I think was a clear penalty but had it been converted, I still think the French champions were gonna take all three points from that game. Anyone who's been following up the performance of Paris Saint Germaine recently will attest the the fact that they've been ruthless in their games especially in the league and I that's why I never expected anything less than a win for them against Lens.

Lyon's previous winning streak disappeared after they lost in the away match against Le Havre. But this defeat cannot be fully justified because playing with 10 people was certainly very difficult for Lyon. O'Brien was the first player to leave the field after receiving a red card from the referee in the first half. It was clear that this was a very detrimental match for Lyon, especially since their moment of revival had to be ruined by this unequal match.

Le Havre was certainly very lucky after Lyon couldn't play with a complete squad and they didn't waste it at all and managed to score 3 goals against Lyon. Even though the results could already be seen, Lyon suffered another loss after their second player Caleta received a red card and had to be sent off by the referee in the final minute. Now Lyon has lost two important defenders in their squad and I doubt they will be able to win their next match considering that these two defensive line players have been absent for several matches.
Lyon lost this match against Le Havre but still things are looking much better after having the worst start of their season, and now they are going to have another challenging match against Rennes which is doing good even they are also having troubling time but with currently mostly French clubs are lacking of quality and consistency we can expect good performance from these both sides in this coming game Le Havre which is newly promoted side but their performance and quality allowing them to stay into middle of the league table already having good time as they beat Nice few weeks back and now win against Lyon give them good confident.

There is no doubt with the absence of these defenders they can suffer which will create more problems for them in coming matches while they are trying hard to jump out of the relegation zone and staying into middle of the league table.

It's a shame of course, because at least Lyon also managed to have a winning streak before but unfortunately, the break in the season seems to have had a bad impact too . Because after all, basically Le Havre is also only a promotion team and of course, because Lyon managed get a win streak, at least Lyon still has a chance to be able to beat Le Havre in the match . But ya,because Le Havre managed to score first then it seems enough to make Lyon get pressure and therefore, instead of replying to the goal but what happened Lyon got a red card.

Of course, with the advantage in the number of players, then Le Havre who played at home became more confident until finally, the final score still made Le Havre get three good points in this home match . But ya,even though in this match Lyon lost but ya, at least there are still many chances for Lyon to get out of the relegation zone.

Although Nice is in second place, it cannot perform well enough. Still, they are not the teams that will threaten PSG. Neither Nice, nor Monaco, nor Lille. We see that Psg will win the league by a wide margin this season. Also, this may be the last season they have Mbappe. Mbappe is performing great this year. Even though it is his last year, there is a situation that will leave a mark on Mbappe.
Currently, in Ligue 1 no team is capable of giving any challenge to PSG because they are consistent and having enough quality which is keeping them at the top Nice is suffering badly in last few matches with having 3 defeats in 5 games and their attack is also not good which can help them for having better result to challenge PSG, Monaco is also suffering and having 2 defeats with now their next game is against Marseille which is doing their best for the better spot, but quality is not good as we need these all teams are helpful for the PSG dominance because no one investing for quality players and having nothing positive.
The gap was too big for other team to be the same like PSG. Im not saying that's impossible but let's talk about the fact if PSG has very big valuation while other clubs don't even have a half of billion as their valuation. It makes the competition being dominated by PSG and this is the main problem. PSG will always be dominating this league like bayern munich in bundesliga which has been doing it for more than 1 decade.

PSG is having the richest owners which love this club and soccer so they are doing good job for this club and having ideal results with their desire for the Champions League is still on but can fill if they will give some good time to any coach.
True and french league needs to have other richest owner who can compete with the owner of PSG. I hope that there will be a saudi investors to join in the french league. This measure will contribute to enhancing the league's competitiveness, resulting in a higher level of competition compared to the past. French league will always be the same as this if there will be no other big investors to come in.

I would say the main reason Lens lost in this match was not  being able to score from a penalty chance in the seventh minute. If the Lens players could score from the penalty and take a 1-0 lead, the PSG players would be under more pressure. And it would have been more difficult for PSG's players to break down the Lens defence. But Frankowski missed the easy opportunity. And Barcola scored from Mbappe's assist in the 30th minute. However, once Lens's defender gets a red car, Lens's gameplay slows down. Winning against a strong opponent like PSG with 10 players was a much more difficult task. And naturally PSG got an easy win in this match.
PSG won 2-0 against Lens. A penalty 8 minutes into the match could have definitely been the turning point for Lens if they could have scored that penalty. I wouldn't say that Lens would have won against PSG if they scored that penalty, but if they didn't win, this match would have been more likely to be a draw. If Lens had scored in the first eight minutes, Lens would have gone ahead and PSG would have had a goal to repay them at any cost, for which they would have counter-attacked and focused more on scoring. Whenever a team goes up to score, the opposing team has an opportunity to score against that team. However, Mbappe's finish was superb at the end and his goal ensured PSG's win against Lens.
However, Lens must work on their mistakes and the manager must work to ensure that at least penalty kicks are not missed in the next important match.

But the penalty 8 minutes into the match doesn't take into account that PSG could switch gears and play even harder if necessary. The issue is that they don't have to do it. But this doesn't mean they can save hard work for a whole season in Ligue 1, it only means that they never get challenged and are then overwhelmed when they play in the Champions League.

Mbappe's finishes are quite often superb, but he is in the wrong league.

In today's match in French Soccer League, Lens vs PSG team played very well in today's match. PSG team played very well. I thought Lens team players will play well in today's match but Lens team's players did not score any goal in today's match due to bad performance.  PSG team won the match today by 2 goals.B.  Barcola scored the first goal in the 30th minute.K.  Mbappe scored the 2nd goal in the 89th minute.
This season, the Lens team doesn't look good enough, so it's quite natural that Lens lost to PSG at home with only two goals without reply. Apart from that, PSG itself is still quite strong in Ligue1 so it is also natural for PSG to win with two goals without reply at home to Lens. Now PSG is back in the lead again and it is almost impossible for its rivals in Ligue1 to catch up and everyone can guess who will win the trophy again in Ligue1 this season.
Even though Lens received a red card, I think he fought well. They played with 10 men in the second half and could not prevent Mbappe's goal in the 89th minute. I think Lens had a not bad performance in the home field. However, of course, I can say that they had a worse season compared to previous years.

In first thirty minutes, we had good fight from Lens and things were going into their favour as well but after missed penalty and conceding goal they were down red card bring more misery with lost of the match and hope for the better positive change now they have chance for the something good, but they need to regroup themselves which is important case otherwise few teams which are improving their quality and have enough quality can give them shock.

In second half PSG were completely dominating even they fail to score more than 1 goal but still things were going good for them and Lens were looking not impressive like we have them in first thirty minutes now after this win PSG is having 8 points difference from second spotted Nice which is also having decline in performance, so another easy title is waiting for them in this season.

well, that's what I actually mean, the match could have ended in a draw if Frankowski had scored during the penalty kick and also if the Lens defender had not received a red card.
everyone must have watched the match at that time even though some people said Lens were weak but for me not because even though they were competing with only 10 players Lens were still able to compete and provide resistance that put pressure on PSG defense even though they didn't score but I was amazed by Lens performance which looked very good.
It's just that the fierce competition became very bad when the defense became a little weak and the score that Mbappe scored was the result of a comeback when the Lens players were too advanced and in the end Dembele managed to pass Mbappe.

I am very sure that all the conditions in yesterday's match could almost have ended in a draw, but everything became very bad after the red card came.

Nice gonna win this coming week, I'm pretty confident in that. Lost a pretty decent Xfun parlay on them losing this past weekend, once they got scored on the second time tho, I was aware that's pretty much that, coincidentally, the only team they scored 3 goals against is PSG lol.

I don't think you should be too happy about Nice beating PSG by 2-3 because after all, Nice also lost by three goals too and even worse, Nice lost by promoted team Le Havre by 3-1. Therefore, I think Nice is not completely good although indeed, in this season Nice has good results because Nice is still the team that has conceded the lowest goals. But about the next match Nice will play at home against Metz, at least Nice has a good chance of winning. But yes, despite Nice being the favored team but I think it is still not easy for Nice to beat Metz because after all, Metz also has a pretty good record for away matches so far this season.
Yes, we shouldn't be too happy to see Nice win their first match against PSG at the start of this season because that is not enough to prove that Nice is really strong this season. Nice's performance is not very consistent so is still a little doubtful when doing various things match because recently Nice just suffered a defeat at home Rennes which further widened the gap with PSG to eight points, and in the next match Nice will host Metz. I think Nice has a bigger chance of winning considering that Metz is in a bad condition recently and has suffered a losing streak in the last 5 matches so Nice must make good use of home opportunities if they want to continue to be in 2nd place.
Although Nice is in second place, it cannot perform well enough. Still, they are not the teams that will threaten PSG. Neither Nice, nor Monaco, nor Lille. Give all before death
After 18 rounds, PSG already has an 8-point advantage over Nice, which is behind them, despite the fact that PSG had a difficult start to the season. I have no doubt that PSG will be champions once again, this is without Messi and Neymar. But there is nothing surprising here when we are talking about Ligue 1, teams here have always found it difficult to compete with PSG. Another thing is the Champions League, this is a goal that the team has been pursuing for a long time, but achieving it is not so easy.
Nice looked like a threat to PSG at the beginning of the season and I thought we would have a new Ligue One champions this season. But my expectation turned out to be false because Les Aiglons have lost some important points that would have made them a strong contender for the league title. In five games they have lost three and won only two and are now eight points below PSG.

Until a wealthy investor maybe from Qatar or Saudi Arabia buys another team from the French League I don't if any of them would be able to dethrone PSG. Les Parisiens have enough money to buy all the quality players they need so they don't feel the impact of injuries and suspension of players. But other clubs in the Ligue One are struggling with small budgets that cannot secure quality players. They begin to have problems when they lose key players because there are no good replacements in the team.

It was surprising match result because many football fans and Lens fans initially expected the match result to be at least draw so that Lens could maintain its position in catching up.
But in the end, Lens home match meant they were embarrassed because they lost by 2 goals without reply and this was result that really could not have been imagined from the start.
The look on the face of Franck Haise, who is the Lens coach, looks very disappointed.
He hopes to share the points but has to accept that the team he built has lost points and has the potential to experience decline in the current standings.
On the other hand, Lens also suffered loss where their mainstay defender Gradit received red card, losing one player in their back line made the game even worse and Lens playing style was like team that was in disarray because of the emptiness at the back.

Next, Lens will face Toulouse and they should win even though this is Toulouse home game.
No one can hope for Toulouse to win the match because Lens is also team that is actually not that weak..
Well Lens are pretty good this season but I don’t see them being able to match up with PSG . Though being defeated by 2 unreplied goals is quite crazy especially in front of your home fans. I think PSG dominated this match and had everything working for them. The red card for Lens was quite crazy and that gave PSG, the edge over Lens because the victim was one of Lens solid defender who holds the backline. The emptiness was a strength for PSG to seal the win with a 2nd goal.

Lens faces Toulouse, away at Toulouse and will be all out for the win against Toulouse so as to maintain their stand, but I don’t think this will be quite an easy one and could maybe end in a draw. Although Lens are more favorites to win Toulouse so if I'm to stake on it,  to b on a safer side I'll bet Lens to win or draw.
