All the teams playing in Ligue 1 are PSG's competitors, it's just that there are not many of their strongest competitors. This allowed PSG to dominate Ligue 1 with all its advantages, but PSG was not always able to defend its title without failing in one different season.

This season PSG is strong and they lead the standings with an 11 point advantage. PSG drew its last match against Rennes, but that did not have a big impact on its title chances. The match against Monaco is more challenging after the previous draw, but perhaps not too important if PSG wants to focus on the Champions League. Winning the match and maintaining a points lead is clearly important, but Enrique will have to rotate several players in preparation for the away match against Real Sociedad.
In terms of the depth of the PSG team, Of course they are much stronger than all the team in Ligue 1 so they always manage to maintain their progress towards becoming champion. Indeed, in yesterday match, PSG almost lost, But they still managed to avoid it with a goal from Gancalo ramos in the final minutes of the match. Now the difference between Psg and Brest is 11 point and of course this is a season where PSG can lock up the title early. Maybe when mbappe left for another team that's where psg power in Ligue 1 started to disappear, but I'm sure Mbappe will stay at psg for a long time.

In the Champions League, PSG also performed impressively because in the first leg they managed to win the match with a score of 2-0, so this capital was quite important for them in the second leg. Luis enrique troops will play the second leg in March and they are very ready to steal victory at home to Real sociedad. Maybe winning the UCL trophy is very difficult for them because other team have a stronger mentality than them.

Jean Louis Gasset who replace Gattuso position as a manager has been through an 2 matches in all competitions and his debut was working well because he can bringing Marseille to eliminate Shakhtar Donetsk with final aggregate 5-3 in Europa league and in Ligue 1 too he can able to ended poor results from Marseille with beat Montpellier with huge scores and about the match against Montpellier actually in the beginning of first half Marseille was playing with slightly under pressure even they have to conceded in early minutes by Mousa Al Tamari goal but Marseille still focus to control the game and the result is they can able to bounce back and win this match

Next weekend Marseille will gets weak opponent Clermont i think this is good opportunities to gets their 2nd winning in Ligue 1 under new manager Jean Louis Gasset and i know Clermont has just successfully to stole point from Nice but their performance is compeletely unstable and Clermont also still hard struggling to gets the winning results because in the last 15 matches in all competitions Clermont only able to gets 2 wins so they are really not in the good shape and on the paper this should be easy match for Marseille

Unlike in the UEFA Champions League that Paris Saint Germaine have struggled to make a good impact, they're the ones that's been bossing the French Ligue 1 fir almost the past one decade and considering the quality of players in the team, I don't think there's any team that's gonna stop them from their dominance of the French league even after the current season. The reason why they've been dominating the league is simply because they've spent more money in signing quality players than any other team in the French league and for a club that spends as outrageous as Paris Saint Germaine, you don't expect them to struggle in dominating the entire league.

Earlier today, Paris Saint Germaine failed to win against Rennes at the Parc des Princes but despite the draw, Paris Saint Germaine are still destined to win the French league title at the end of the season because they're currently leading the table with a over 10 points difference
It's only fitting that PSG gain this dominance in League 1 because finances play an important role in the team's future, but the problem for me is that it's just a waste of money if you spend a lot of money on quality players but have difficulty getting titles in the UCL like PSG did a few seasons ago there is no shortage of quality players like Mbappe, Messi and Neymar, this is a truly perfect line up but PSG still failed in terms of winning the title in the UCL.
I don't know what makes PSG such a big team but only in the domestic league without being able to get other prestigious titles and in my opinion this is all because PSG has not been able to maintain a quality coach for several seasons to give the coach the opportunity to get the right strategy and be able to bring team to a higher level.

and if we talk about dominance in league 1 I will see PSG will continue to dominate even though they lost Mbappe but there are still other quality players who will be brought in by PSG management and PSG will lose this dominance after another team gets big investors who provide big capital to revive the team's performance and I hope that happens for Monaco.

If I'm not mistaken, I read Luis Enrique's interview after the match was over and he said that sooner or later this team would not be able to rely completely on Mbapee when he left. With a statement like that, Luis Enrique knew where Mbappe's future was next and because of that, in the 65th minute, Mbappe was pulled out and Goncalo Ramos came in from then on. Of course PSG still can't do anything because Mbappe was withdrawn early and this is like a test for Luis Enrique's players so they can maximize the match with the current squad.
It is good for PSG future with this preparation of Enrique as their position in Ligue 1 is very safe already. 11 points more than Brest is a safe different and PSG don't need to use Mbappe too much in Ligue 1. They must save him for important matches in Champions League and aim at winning a first Champions League with a last season of Mbappe for them.

Quote
As we can see, with that much time, PSG is still having difficulty equalizing the score even though the difference is only one goal. However, fortunately PSG was still able to get a draw with a goal in the final minute of the match. I think this is very good for mental development and the strategy that will be implemented next and even though this draw doesn't bother them in the standings, if they don't try it now then everything will be too late next season and Luis Enrique doesn't want that to happen.
It is a difficult match for PSG but even it is an unwanted draw, they don't actually feel too bad with it. Champions League is like on top of their priorities and winning 1 Champions League will change their club history. They already won many Ligue 1 titles and winning one more Ligue 1 title won't change their club history, won't help them to join Tier 1 clubs in Europe.

Even though it sometimes makes you wonder what it would be like when PSG suffers such losses with this squad, they are not currently in any risk for the league championship, they seem to accept such points losses. Gouiri, who scored Rennes' first goal, scored Rennes' goal with his talent alone. PSG had a hard time finding the equalizing goal, but the equalizing goal came in the 90+7 minute.

Mbappe was a little weaker in this match. He cannot carry him in every match anyway. When Mbappe plays below his level and fails to score, PSG generally loses points.

Rennes in the last 5 games has been a very strong team, meaning that no matter the strength of the opponent, they can play and not lose, that is something very good. Even when they played against PSG, they did well in defense, they didn't allow PSG to score many goals and they did very well in attack as they managed to score 1 goal, they were very close to winning that game, unfortunately they They were unlucky and suffered a penalty just as the game was ending. With this draw, Rennes is in position number 7 and if they manage to maintain this performance they could end up in a better position, something like a position with access to European competitions and talking about places with access to European competitions.

I'm very shocked by Nice's current position, in the last 5 games they only won 1 game, they are currently in position number 4, they were a team that came to occupy the top and had the best defense, they were a team that looked like that this season they could surprise, but they are declining a lot, I don't know what is happening to them, what are the causes of this sudden drop, it is not possible for a team out of nowhere to be declining a lot like that, they are on a streak of 4 games without winning, no it's normal. Be that as it may, I'm convinced that they won't be able to go to any European competition next season, just see that while they fall a lot, other teams emerge that are performing well and will occupy the top positions, and it's a shame for the nice

You can see the improvements of the team when he changed the tactics and how they performed in the first leg at home to Real Sociedad. Well the 2nd leg though they’re going to that match comfortably but I’ll love to see how they perform away from home. Yes performing excellently away from home is also a boost to the team confidence and that can make us start seeing the team as maybe the surprise team of the UCL this season. This team is majorly focused on the UCL as for their league they’re having a resounding 11 point gap to 2nd place and they don’t seem to be under pressure. Well even if they don’t give a stellar performance this season, I think they’re a team to look out for next season as they’ll be having some nice additions and which I believe with Enrique in charge he’ll sure do wonders in this club.
Sometimes away games make it a little bit more different because we know that even at home it's not a guarantee that they'll win but at least there's more strength and confidence when a club is backed by thousands of supporters in a match.

The 2-0 result in the first meeting for PSG seems to be a very good result and indeed they will certainly be a little more comfortable but on the other hand it is also still not a guarantee that they can qualify because in any case we must be aware that conditions like this can still be unexpected and I expect that unexpected result.

The second leg PSG is still the favorite but I still expect a good breakthrough from Socidad to provide a decent resistance.
But on the other hand it is also good if in the end in this case PSG can qualify for the previous phase because at least they can anticipate the curse in the round of 16 for them.

It's not something that can't happen, for example last season Inter was able to reach the final round of the Champions League. Likewise with PSG, even though PSG's chances are small compared to several teams that are much more superior, what is certain is that Luis Enrique will do his job with his squad, to do the best they can. in the second leg, PSG will visit Real Sociedad's headquarters. well, we will find out how Luis Enrique's squad does their job when playing away from home. considering that PSG is in the Group phase, they are not very good when playing their away matches. that's why the second leg match is important to review PSG's current strength. even though Luis Enrique's squad should have been able to win the match with the system they are currently implementing. apart from that, PSG started to play impressively, as befits the style that the Spanish coach wants. even though in reality, in terms of strength or depth, there is a gap when comparing City and Real Madrid. Plus, PSG can't be said to be completely solid yet.

But, as you said. in football it is unique, sometimes things happen beyond our predictions and expectations.
In this competition, PSG has almost no competitors who are able to stick closely to the position or ranking they currently occupy. Luis Enrique's troops are comfortably at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with a 10 point lead over Brest. especially with the teams below it. today, PSG will host Rennes at the Park des Princess. but it looks like this match will be exciting, considering that Rennes performed quite well with 5 wins in the matches they played in this competition. well, let's just wait for the final result of the battle between these two teams, even though PSG has a high probability of securing full points.
The UCL is always known to have a team who many don’t expect much from them but each time they play they seem to beat the expectations of the fans. These kind of teams usually doesn’t have to play much to get past each stage as they are most times usually escaping with narrow wins. We’ve had these kind of team in almost each season of the UCL and for last season one thing we can see that matches this description is Inter Milan. At the start of the campaign no one thought they’ll be able to pose a threat of any sort or even if they’ll, they won’t be able to stay in the competition for long.

To our biggest surprise this team overcame every hurdle and got to the final of the competition although they didn’t win it as they were played by a very determined Manchester City team who had gotten to the final consecutively. Well this now brings us to this season surprise wonder and many believe PSG could be the surprise of the season. Well In as much as PSG aren’t up to standard of being called class on European competition, We can’t neglect the fact that this team is now better shaped especially since the addition of Luis Enrique to this team. Luis is one tactical genius and his tactics has now made this team look even and better shaped.

Too bad that the league is over already and that it doesn't really matter whether PSG loses or not. The biggest issue is that even if they lose this game, it would require another team to win like at least six or seven games in a row to have a chance to close the gap. PSG won't lose several games in a row, but it is as unlikely that any other team could win so many games in a row.

For Renne it would be three big points if they can maintain their lead and win the game as that would still keep them in the race for the Champions League qualification. It would make it four points and the teams ahead of them aren't brilliant either.
Victory was in sight, but Rennes failed to achieve it. PSG were awarded a penalty in the final minutes of the match, thus saving them from a humiliating defeat. The final score of 1-1 kept PSG comfortably at the top of the standings, although the result of this match was certainly very disappointing for Enrique fleet.

Rennes itself is experiencing an increase in performance in Ligue 1, and last week they managed to beat Milan in the Europa League play off round. However, luck seemed to be on their side only half way today. Goncalo Ramos managed to be the savior, and saved PSG at the Parc des Princes.

If they manage to get 3 points, Rennes can move up to 6th place, past Lens, and open up a big opportunity to finish in the Europa League zone. In fact, they still have the chance to finish in the top four of the standings, because they are only 5 points adrift of Nice, who are currently in fourth place.

Yeah, Brest are doing just wonderful this season. It has been a long time since they last lost a game before anything else. Their consistency about it is helping them strengthening their place at the second position. Because Nice are really far away from their look at the beginning. They are in a really poor form which is risking their chance for the Champions League a lot as well.

Brest has been very good this season and right now they are currently one of the best club on this league season because there efforts on this league season is very commendable because there last season was not this good in terms of there performance but they were able to set a target this season and they are currently achieving it, however one of the ways to evaluate how strong a club has been, is only by checking there match statistics because checking Brest statistics you will no that the club is very strong because there last 15 matches has been very encouraging with the outcome of it because they have only lost  1 match out of the 15 matches they have played that is why they have been able to secure the position they are currently on, and perhaps with the way they are currently performing they may likely become a threat to PSG if PSG fails to be consistent on there remaining matches.

Paris Saint-Germain's mission every season is the UEFA Champions League, Enrique came to Paris Saint-Germain also wanting to make that dream come true. This season, perhaps the peak of this mission must be achieved immediately because Paris Saint-Germain's current strength is quite convincing because next season Mbappe will no longer be at Paris Saint-Germain.
Do you think PSG can achieve this trophy this season. Their inexperience has made them lose out this trophy several times. And this season we have a very strong and experience team still playing in this trophy. I'm talking about Real Madrid, a team which have been playing well both in league and in Champions league. Do you think PSG has what it takes to defeat them if they meet.

discussing PSG's performance in the UEFA Champions League, PSG will not be able to compete with Madrid and Man City (I favor these two teams over PSG) but for the local league, no team will be able to match PSG, they are too powerful and unmatched (although in some matches they had the misfortune of losing), PSG's defeat is still 1 but they have had quite a lot of draws. Enrique is a pretty good coach, but he must be able to make the PSG squad not dependent on Mbappe, especially since the issue is that Mbappe will soon move to Madrid.

I admit that Mbappe will easily contribute to getting the title in League 1 but I am not sure that Mbappe is able to make a contribution to bringing PSG to get the title in the UCL because in this competition it is not just about mainstay players but also requires very solid teamwork whereas PSG are still not ready to become a solid team when competing in the UCL because they still rely on Mbappe, whereas a big team that has won the UCL title definitely has a very perfect line up of players, strong cooperation, even the mainstay players will not be able to determine the score in the final round but instead other players who can give good scores in the competition.

that's the reason I doubt Mbappe can provide help for PSG to get a title in the UCL because he won't be able to perform without strong support from other players but to get a title in league 1 I'm sure it will be the last title before he leaves PSG as a parting gift.
In League 1 there is no team that can match the strength of the PSG team from any side and that is very natural because PSG has much stronger financial strength than other teams.
So PSG are really favored to win the League 1 title and in fact I am sure they will be able to get it even without Mbappe, but for the UCL it is not easy and last season PSG, which had many star players, did not succeed in winning the UCL, let alone this season.
yep, I know that PSG without Mbappe will remain the strongest team in league 1 but if you lose Mbappe, PSG will not be strong enough to dominate the league 1 title in the future or even several times will be replaced other teams who will get the title PSG shot from PSG from the peak of standings when losing mbappe.
I really understand how PSG now the richest team in league 1 because the owner of this team has big fund to continue to bring in quality player and continue to get the top of the standings in each season but it all does not mean anything if you cannot win title at UCL.

TBH, I don't really care whether PSG will lose the title after losing Mbappe but certainly my hope that Mbappe will immediately find the right team to be able to continue his career to become star player and get an impressive experience as long as he young to get more prestigious title than just thinking about money but Never have a career experience at UCL and it's time he must really determine to choose the right team to provide guarantees to having a higher degree compared to surviving with PSG without having an UCL title.

Strasbourg vs Brest in the match of two teams Brest team player M. Camara won the match by doing a great performance in today's match.M.  Camara alone scored 3 goals in this match. The players of Strasbourg team did not score any goal in today's match but none of their attempts to score were successful. Brest team is in the 2nd position of the points table. Hope Strasbourg team prepares to play well in the upcoming matches.

There was two years ago a season where Strasbourg did quite well and ended in the sixth position, otherwise all these years they finished between the 10th position and just above the relegation zone.
Their defeat against Brest was no surprise since Brest are playing good this season that's why they are second by the way.

Looks like Lens can't catch a breath at all. They lost in the last minutes qualification and today even if they scored 2 goals , Monaco managed to score 3 times and took 3 important points.

For Lens , I think at the end of the season , we will see a full reconstruction of the team that should have a goal to not relegate for 2025 season because for this season they are safe.

Also funny how Lyon managed to climb all the way to 10th position when 2 month ago they were literally last place on Ligue 1 with a huge scandal going around the team and staff for putting them into a real relegation situation ...but here we are now and I think we can safely say they won't relegate this year.

Unfortunately there is no title competition this season but it is no surprise. At least it is nice to see the tight competition between quite many teams for the Champions League spots. Two more teams are joining the Champions League group stage directly together with PSG so let's see.  Smiley
At first I was doubtful when I saw the odds were not much different between Strasbourg and Brest but it all seemed to be paid off with the maximum performance given by Brest. I mean, as a top team that even has a chance to occupy second place in the standings, the bookie gives odds that are so big and those should be lower odds than the home team Strasbourg who sits in 13th position in the standings.

The result was not surprising because Brest definitely won and even broke into Strasbourg's goal with 3 goals without reply. I am happy to see Brest returning to their best form and they are taking advantage of Nice's depression which has recently continued to decline without certainty. Even Nice was temporarily thrown into 4th position in the standings. Talking about this season's competition, everything ended when PSG was ahead by more than 6 points and no team was able to stop them except themselves, which made the situation even more chaotic.
