Lyon's bad run in the league continues and they can't seem to put an end to it.The constant change of coaches and the only thing that hasn't changed is the defeats.Yesterday, Lyon suffered another defeat, losing 3-0 away to Marseille and it's time to start calculating how to get out of the relegation zone. If they don't try to put an end to this, it will be very difficult for them.Although they had almost equal possession against Marseille, they struggled to create positions, which made it difficult for them to find goals, and when they couldn't score, they had to concede goals.
Marseille is a strong team so it is natural that Lyon cannot recover in this match.
Lyon this season is quite surprising, now they are at the bottom of the standings, so if you look at this team's journey since the start of the season then there is no good chance of them being able to recover unless this team improves on a large scale by bringing in new players in the January transfer market. , otherwise I think it would be almost impossible for them to rise.

In my judgment, Marseille is not completely good at this moment but ya, because in ths moment Lyon is in a very bad condition then ofcourse it will still be difficult for Lyon to be able to play well in this match . Because anyway, of course Marseille also has a good target to be able to beat Lyon in this match, because basically they are teams that have high rivalry . So ya, don't be surprised if Marseille really maximized this moment to be able to beat Lyon with a big score of 3-0. Indeed, it is very unfortunate for Lyon this season, because of course it will become increasingly difficult for Lyon to get out of the relegation zone if the results they get are more often lost.

It is difficult for Lyon to get out of pressure when the situation they are experiencing is in its current condition, Lyon is in a slump, their game is much worse than other teams. Marseille who is playing at home, will not waste the opportunity to win. A score of 3-0 was enough for Marseille, who was trying to improve its position in the standings, while this defeat made Lyon sink further to the bottom of the standings.
Lyon, who have only won once, must make improvements to their squad. Bringing in new players in the January transfer market must be done to save the club from the threat of relegation.

But it looks like Real Madrid will not give up in convincing Mbappe to prefer to finish his contract with PSG then go play for Real Madrid and fight for the La Liga and UCL titles, which are also the only titles that Mbappe really wants.
Real Madrid will submit their final offer in January and will give Mbappe until the middle of the month to agree to the offer and make contract agreement. If this fails then the offer that Real Madrid has submitted will mean it has failed twice.

In the previous transfer window, Real Madrid also offered quite large amount of money to transfer Mbappe, but PSG rejected it and currently the offer is being made directly by Mbappe, not through PSG because Mbappe contract will expire next summer.
It just that it looks like Real Madrid will also enter the Premier League if they fail to get Mbappe, because Haaland is the second option.

PSG is currently at the top with 33 points and if Mbappe really leaves, it is certain that PSG will suffer setback because their main player, Mbappe, who always scores winning goals is no longer with them.
Real Madrid who are so desperate in need of a striker have made some mouth watering offers for Kylian but they’ve all been turned down by PSG because of how desperately the club wants him to stay. Mbappe in same manner, desperately needs a UCL gold medal to his name and with the PSG squad, he doesn’t see it forthcoming the more reason he’s forcing his way out.

Fortunately for Real, Kylian’s contract expires at the end of the season and they’ll now be dealing with the French star personally as he’ll be a free agent, If this deal still doesn’t pull through I think Madrid has what it takes to get Erling to their side though this might be pretty tough but very possible, however I don't think City  would love to lose one of their best player to Madrid no matter the price.

There has already been some improvement in Aubameyang's performance recently. That hat-trick against Ajax must have improved his morale a lot before anything else. By this great performance in the Lyon game as well he has increased his streak of scoring at least one goal to three games. 1 goal and 2 assists were enough to make him the man of the match.

PSG's next game is against Nantes home. I see another comfortable win for them already. Nice have a home game against Reims on the other hand. I think Nice's job is quite difficult and they might lose two points. Their streak of not losing a game in the league lasted 13 games by the way.  Smiley
Former champion Lyon is now in relegation and it doesn't look like their situation will ever recover. This team has been champion in this league for years in a row. Serious transfers are required between the seasons for the team to get back on its feet.

It was Aubameyang's night in Marseille. Most of the share in the victory belonged to him, he was able to score 2 assists and 1 goal in 90 minutes. A very experienced striker showed no mercy to Lyon that night. If they continue like this, I think Lyon could break new ground.

Lyon is going to take a lot of time to improve. Then improvement is not going to be instant. And at the same time, changes need to be made. This was definitely very unexpected. This team was supposed to be one of the top teams in this league. But the performance from them literally nosedived. At this point, I am pretty sure that the players are also also pretty disheartened by the fact that they are at the absolute bottom of the table. It will be really hard to motivate them.

Yes, I also agree that they are probably not going to escape the relegations zone. The main target of the team right now should be to somehow avoid relegation at the end of the season. They should look to get at least one point from matches from now on.
Lyon must take improvement as soon possible regarding their bottom position can't help more keep existing in Ligue 1 next season, loss over 3-0 from Marseille last match is another bad result match for Lyon and keep continue the their loss trend. Have played 14 matches in this season and once winning match only not enough to help Lyon existing in highest France domestic league next season if can't improving their performance. Have 20 matches left and still many points possibility for achieving and Lyon must win on next match and have to defend if can get three points they should get one points.
Personally, Ligue 1 have two bottom teams standings automatically relegated to Ligue 2 and Lyon can take opportunity finish on 17th position get playoff round relegation, its seems realistic if Lyon can out from relegation zone.

There is one match that will take place today and it will pit Brest against Strasbourg. Statistically, these two teams are quite different and Brest has won the last 5 matches. Meanwhile, Strasbourg have not won in the last 5 matches and I think Brest will be favored to win this match. Apart from being the host, H2H statistics also note that Strasbourg is still a fairly strong opponent for Brest and it is possible that this result will continue in this match.

However, if you look at the current conditions between these two teams, there is too much difference, Brest is in 7th position and Strasbourg is in 15th position in the standings and is closer to the relegation zone. So I think Brest will still be favored to win regardless of the H2H results and the bookie gives winning odds @1.79 for Brest's win and that is much more reasonable than Strasbourg which gets odds of @4.70

So are you interested in betting on this match? and who do you think will win?

Even though the match ended in 3:0 in favour of the home team Marseille, I think it would be a big risk if you gambled on Lyob to beat Marseille considering their poor form and their performance since the start of the season. Lyon is at the bottom of the table yet they don't show any sign of getting out of the bottom place because they keep losing points and they get worse in every match that they play even when they don't play with big teams. From the performance of Lyon I think they are not escaping the relegation zone by the end of the season so for now they should continue to see how they can get the team back to winning ways.
It is very sad to see Lyon losing every game while this club was actually a top club in the previous season but this season experienced a very deep decline in performance and almost did not have the strength to recover from its bad performance and Lyon's last chance this time was only in the transfer market when it reopens and at that time if Lyon fails again in its efforts to escape relegation there will be no more hope for Lyon and fans will be sad to see Lyon current condition.
This season's Lyon collapse is heartbreaking. After dominating last year, they're like a different team. I think their defense is disappointing. Once strong, their backline is crumbling under strain, costing them dearly. They need to strengthen their defense, possibly by signing powerful defenders in January. That could save them from relegation. It takes more than exceptional players to have a balanced squad that can compete, especially in challenging situations.

They need decent players in the January transfer market, otherwise they will be very difficult to rise, this is dangerous if Lyon continues to be in the relegation zone, it could make them out of the league this season, but whether they are rich enough to buy good players later in January, that is the big question.

And the second problem is the improvisation of coaches and players I think there are many misses, thus causing the team to not be able to adapt to the development of the league that is getting better the competitors it affects also in my opinion, if in rethinking whether they need a new coach who is more competent to compete in the league!

Lyon will obviously to be relegated to the lower division. The chance for lyon to leave from the relegation zone became even smaller and nothing left for lyon at this moment. It has become strongest candidate to be relegated to the bottom. As you can see that lyon has been trying so hard in making the situation to be a bit better but it was failed. The lose against marseilla has been bringing lyon to stay at the relegation zone. Meanwhile, other clubs were able gaining three points but lyon was still stuck.
Im sure that lyon will be relegated this season. Lyon has no hope anymore. The club needs to do something better. I have no hope for lyon. The club needs to win a lot of matches in a row to leave from the relegation zone.

It's not surprising me to see how lyon was performing so badly against marseille. Lyon was not doing so well right now. The club is performing even worst. I don't know what to say regarding lyong's performance.
It's so terrible to watch.

Lyon tend to relegate this season. Historically in Ligue 1, all teams under seven points by the fourteenth round relegated and I don't feel Lyon will make the exception this season. Such a bad performance of the attack and defence line doesn't help the team progress at all in Ligue 1. Possessing the ball most of the time will not help, they have to finish attack attempts with goals. One serious attempt in the match is useless when your rival is scoring goals over and over.
Toulouse, Monaco then Nantes next rounds. They have to get 3 points vs Toulouse and at least a point from Nantes in order to advance a little, otherwise they will align with the historical fact.

Yes, it's boring, but the thing is who thinks Paris Siant Germain won't be champions? I think almost everyone agrees with that. I personally don't mind who will be the champion, but I want to see a very competitive competition that can be done by all clubs and at least make Paris Saint Germain's journey not easy to get the championship. We can see now that the points have begun to widen which means, the chance of Paris Saint Germain becoming champions becomes greater. Nice, which is predicted to provide fierce competition, has in fact begun to decline.

Just compare the money they invested in Paris Siant Germain with other teams in this league and you can see Paris Siant Germain has the highest budgets in the league with many expensive players and coaches, that's why it's normal to see they win the title in the end of the season until another team gets rich owners to spend more money for them and race with PSG like that, otherwise, the chance for PSG is still much higher than other teams.

Money is indeed one of the reasons why Paris Saint Germain are always on top of other clubs in Ligue 1. But I think why they (other clubs) don't try to attract investors to work with them, do they not have the value they can offer? I think not, or the way they do it is not enough to make their finances better? like negotiating with sponsors or so on.
Well apart from their performance that needs to be improved, I think they also need to improve their strategy in bringing in a lot of sponsors that will help their finances a lot.

I think it is too early to talk about some things, but we would not be wrong if we say that PSG will win the league. I don't think there will be a team that can stop them in the French league, both in terms of squad quality and the squad harmony they have achieved in recent weeks. Monaco will race for second place, but strong rivals await it. Lille is one of them, and those who make fewer mistakes at the end of the year will be at the top.

But this is the most boring guess someone can come up with Cheesy Of course PSG will win the league and if they don't it is nothing short of an embarrassment. So yes theoretically we have to say that it is like close to 100% sure because you can never know for certain, but Monaco and Nice are both not stable enough to compete with PSG over the course of a whole season. Everyone hoping for a new Ligue 1 title winner is doomed to be disappointed.

I agree with you. There are rumors that Mbappe will not be in Ligue 1. And many say that Mbappe will join Real Madrid. However, Mbappe has yet to officially say that he will not renew his contract with PSG. Mbappe is likely to renew his contract with PSG. Because in the past few seasons we have heard various rumors that Mbappe will not extend his contract with PSG. He will play in Premier League or La Liga. But each time PSG management made tempting offers to Mbappe and Mbappe renewed his contract. This time is likely to see the same thing.
But it looks like Real Madrid will not give up in convincing Mbappe to prefer to finish his contract with PSG then go play for Real Madrid and fight for the La Liga and UCL titles, which are also the only titles that Mbappe really wants.

Kylian Mbappe is one of the best attackers in football at the moment and that's why a lot of clubs are trying to convince the France national team captain to sign for their respective clubs including his current club Paris Saint Germaine who are trying all they could to convince him to extend his contract with the club but considering all the rumours surrounding the future if Kylian Mbappe, I'll be very surprised to see him play for Paris Saint Germaine beyond the end if the current European football season. Though he's not officially told us of his next destination, but I think he's gonna go to Real Madrid next summer.

Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez has never hidden his admiration for the France forward and has always tried to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu in the past few years and now that Mbappe's contract with his club PSG iha almost come to an end, he'll surely want to capitalize on the opportunity and sign him. There was also some reports in the media during the summer transfer window, that Mbappe has already reached an agreement to sign for Real Madrid next summer.

I bet on Marseille winning. And my decision was right. Although some people say something like Lyon has greater motivation because they want to get out of the relegation zone but TBH currently Lyon doesn't have what it takes to win. Their problem is really quite serious. I don't see any change in their game. So I don't think at all about betting on Lyon.

Congratulations on your bet for choosing Marseille and I failed this bet because I bet on the BTTS result (Yes). Actually, I was quite sure that Lyon would score considering that this was a big match between strong teams in Ligue 1 (despite Lyon's presence in the relegation zone) but the reality was not what I expected. I was quite hesitant to bet on Marseille and what surprised me later was that Lyon was able to beat them.

But that didn't happen in last night's match and it was fitting that Marseille won the derby match entitled Choc des Olympiques. This result moves Marseille up to 8th position and next week will be even more exciting for them. Meanwhile, Lyon must continue to accept the bitter reality of being in the relegation zone and it looks like they will never survive with a difference of 6 points from the closest team currently Strasbourg.

Giving sentiments to the board, Lyon coach, Jean-François Vulliez should be sacked with immediate effects. A competitive league has little opportunity for plodding clubs, and Lyon is one of those clubs making excuses for their incompetent performance this season. Lyonnias numerical values, 1W 4D 9L this season, a terrible start determines the club's future, and they're now finding harder and harder to catch up with the major teams this season. What else should we be concerned about when it's evident that Olympique Lyon will not escape the relegation zone, despite being the lowest-ranked club in Ligue One?

There has already been some improvement in Aubameyang's performance recently. That hat-trick against Ajax must have improved his morale a lot before anything else. By this great performance in the Lyon game as well he has increased his streak of scoring at least one goal to three games. 1 goal and 2 assists were enough to make him the man of the match.

PSG's next game is against Nantes home. I see another comfortable win for them already. Nice have a home game against Reims on the other hand. I think Nice's job is quite difficult and they might lose two points. Their streak of not losing a game in the league lasted 13 games by the way.  Smiley
A good and confident attacker is definitely what a competitive clubs need to strive for harder projects and scoring becomes a hobby for these attackers that reinforce forces to the frontlines. Scoring an hattricks against a struggling club do actually counts because it's a major tournaments. Pierre Aubameyang is classified as World class player, won titles in the long run, he have played for top clubs and have gained experienced in all major leagues he played for during his prime, don't get it twisted, he's still having an incredible multi level performance in Ligue One.

Aubameyang is in top form at the moment and he has helped the Marseille team quite a bit this season. At a young age, his performance is inconsistent, but Aubameyang continues to strive to be able to show his best performance. At the age of 34, Aubameyang is really quite extraordinary now. .

Currently PSG is in its best performance, so I don't think there will be a team in Ligue 1 that can compete with the strength of the PSG team.
Nantes is a mid-table team that has quite good performance, but if you compare it with PSG, I think it will not be balanced and it is possible that PSG will be able to win this weekend's match easily.

As long as the Lyon coach is still like that in directing his players, I also think that it will be easier for Lyon to be relegated at the end of this season because Lyon will not be able to get out of the relegation zone. Because the more Lyon lose in the upcoming matches, the more difficult it will be for Lyon to secure themselves in Ligue1 this season.

Quote
I checked the list of top scorers in Ligue 1 and Mbappe has scored 15 goals! Followed by Akor Adams who scored 7 goals. This was such a big difference between first place and second place. Mbappe is too superior in this league. I think he is the best striker in ligue 1 and one of the best players in the world at the moment, along with Haaland. It would be interesting if Mbappe then left Ligue 1 and joined the Premier League or La Liga.
I would prefer if Mbappe wanted to go to the Premier League because there is Haaland who might still be his opponent in terms of any record. But with one condition they are not in the same team so that there is a more interesting competition between the two, but it also won't be worse if Mbappe goes to La Liga as long as he is in the best team.
