I'm not surprised if everyone still expects PSG to be the title holders in this league but doesn't Monaco also deserve to be the title holders this season?
Monaco has a very stable performance and I think it is more stable than PSG even though some people believe that at the end of the season the competition will stop but I still think that Monaco could change history this season to get the title in league 1 with greater consistency.
PSG may still have Kylian Mbappe but we don't know whether this player is still making a good contribution to his club but it seems like he is not as good as before because the decline performance in the previous few matches is very clear that Mbappe is not very enthusiastic.
Monaco is leading in Ligue 1. Every team is performing at their best, making this season tough. Even the traditionally smaller teams have improved, both in terms of their players and the quality of their managers. So, having the best tactics and strategy is what wins games now. Football has become more of a mathematical challenge than just a game.
PSG might not seem as special as before, but they still have Kylian Mbappe. They are facing some challenges, but it's hard to rule out the possibility of PSG winning the league this season.

We still don't know that but at least I'm sure Monaco will continue to play well until the end of the season and the transfer window will open and at that time there will also be changes in strength in the teams that are updating their squad. Especially PSG who also want to improve their squad, I'm sure they will provide many surprises in the transfer market next winter.
PSG still has the possibility to dominate in Ligue 1. but Monaco also has a chance if PSG doesn't make immediate improvements this season. and it was Monaco's chance to prevent PSG's dominance.
After nine rounds we have interesting situation in this season with few top clubs are staying out of the top ranks which is surprising specially Lyon at the bottom and Lens in near relegation zone but PSG which is the most powerful club in French League also struggling and have third spot with Monaco at the top and Nice which is only club without any defeat at the second spot most chances this situation will be going for few more weeks or until winter vacation because after this mostly clubs will give their best and try to narrow difference of points which will bring improvement in performance and quality as well which is much needed.

PSG is surely still favorite, but few clubs are giving their best and trying to have something positive which is good sign, but their available sources are not like PSG which will give them better advantage near the end of this season for having better result.

Of course, in my opinion, PSG is favourite as well. Because I just can't think of another team which will actually be able to give good competition to PSG for the title throughout the whole season. I think the competition is going to die out towards the end of the season. And PSG will be the only team to still stand tall. Even with all the problems that they had to face in this season. Monaco and Nice did very well to actually be at the top of the table right now. The one team that has actually surprised me is Brest. But recently it seems like the good performance phase is over for them.

This time PSG is even under more pressure and since they started working with Enrique, they still Enrique couldn't change anything in PSG that's why if he gets bad results in the Chmapnios Leageu there is a huge chance for this coach to get fired even in the middle of this season. Because regardless of the players they lost like Neymar and Messi, but still PSG spent lots of money during the summer.

It is not unusual for PSG to be under pressure, they have lost the highest amount of players this season, if so many players leave the club at the same time then it is natural for the club to perform poorly. If they think that by appointing a quality manager to a club, that manager will improve their performance, they are wrong. A good manager's plan doesn't work if the club doesn't have good players.
Luis Enrique was successful at Barcelona but he has not been successful so far at PSG. I'm not talking about winning the Champions League trophy, I'm only asking Luis Enrique to win League One this season. If Luis Enrique can win the Ligue 1 title for PSG this season with this team, he can certainly consider himself a success in charge of PSG.
That's not one of the problems Paris Siannt Germain have faced that they've had such a difficult time with in recent years, we never know what their internal problems are, but I'm sure they have problems that don't come out to the public.
One example is the star players they have at the moment. They spend too much time on this player, and I don't think that's good for a big team like them.
Now the coach is in the spotlight, yes it is a risk he must accept, because after all a coach will be the first person in the spotlight if a team performs not as expected.

@red4splash while PSG are not having the best start like they wanted but firing a coach during the mid season is a bad idea unless they have a solid replacement and currently I’m only aware of Conte being available and I’m pretty sure that they don’t want him. Lastly if Enrique can convince Mbappe to stay then he would be able to secure some more time for himself but if Mbappe also refuses to stay then his position will definitely come under threat.

PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi have succeeded in ruining the present stats of Les Parisiens. They're having difficulties to win league games, then when it comes to UCL football they also found it challenging. The new coach, Luis Enrique will try his best to adapt but we just hope he's able to deliver his club on time. Paris Saint-Germain are not good in shape this season. It's clearly stated out regarding their performance in league games, illustrating the worst form of PSG, got humiliated by an average competitive club like Newcastle in UCL.

Lens is a team that has had a very significant decline this season. After being runners up last season, this season they have to be in 15th place, just one level above the relegation zone. The number of their players leaving may be one of the factors why they have decreased like this.
But it's only the beginning of the season and only past week 9, meaning they still have plenty of opportunities to get up and slowly improve their ranking in the standings.

Lens lost some players such as Loïs Openda, Seko Fofana, and Jean Onana this season but the club also signed some players like Elye Wahi, Andy Diouf, and Angelo  Fulgini. I observed that they were not defending well because they failed to get the right replacement for some defenders they lost. This has made the team to conceive sixteen goals in nine games. This is indeed sad for a team that is competing in the highest competition in Europe. The good news about the club is that they are playing well in the UEFA Champions League. Lens is at the top of group B after winning one and drawing one game. I also suspect that because they don't have enough players, the club is focusing more on the UCL. However, Lens can still compete favorably in Ligue 1 if they can make proper use of the January transfer window to get more players that can fortify the team and make them play better.
Losing key players will always be detrimental for a team and that is what Lens are experiencing this season. But if a team like Lens doesn't sell their players, of course their finances will also be bad, so when a big offer comes they have to be willing to accept it. I don't think there's anything wrong with Lens releasing some of these players and slowly but surely I quite hope they can return to their glory days like last season.

The Champions League is a different and even more difficult competition than the local competition and I really appreciate Lens' performance in Europe's highest competition. Maybe Lens really have to spend on players this winter to cover the sides they still feel are lacking so that their chances of finishing in Ligue 1 will be better later.

PSG may not able to peg on mbappe again. The club needs to stand alone without mbappe coz his contract will be running out and mbappe has already expected to join in the real madrid. Nice and monaco have been showing very big improvements. Nice and monaco needs to keep its performance stable. The stable performance from those clubs would be also giving huge pressure to the paris saint german. PSG has a target to win french league again.
This will not happen if PSG will be losing its confidence in french league. I have expected there will be a slightly change in the performance of PSG after mbappe will be leaving from the club.

The pressure from nice and monaco will sometimes make PSG literally throw away the game against another league 1 team. So, nice and monaco can give pressure to the PSG by winning any upcoming matches.
It will make PSG will far harder in keeping its performance. I would like to see monaco to become a new competitor for PSG at this moment.

I will be so nice if NICE will able to win the french league.

It's best for them to start looking for a perfect replacement for Mbappé cause I doubt if he'll remain at the club next season, they night have succeeded in making him sign another contract to keep him in the club till next summer, however they might lose him for free when his contract expires cause Mbappé mind has already been made up to leave the club and theirs a possibility of him moving to Realmadrid or another top club as a free agent next summer.

PSG almost lost their dominance last season and we could see that repeating itself this season as well cause team like Monaco and Nice have been doing really great and both have been in the top 3 position for weeks now, well I still believe PSG would defend their trophy but they need to be care as well as remain consistent not to drop points anymore.

Yes but this time I wish it would be the other way around and PSG has to hunt down Monaco until the end of the season. If PSG is leading the table and winning their games, it is still quite boring if there is never a change of positions at the top of the table. But I don't think that the chances are very good for Monaco to win the majority of their games while PSG also making mistakes from time to time. I guess that by the end of this year we will see the old pattern and PSG will be at the top again. Hopefully I am wrong with my prediction and we finally get to see some exciting weekends in the Ligue 1.
Monaco and Nice have a chance to compete with PSG this season, as long as they can show consistency and don't lose their best form for the next few games. PSG's conditions this season will be much different from the previous season because there are many changes made by Luis Enrique. The defeat to Nice in Ligue 1 provides an opportunity for Monaco to beat PSG again and this opportunity will be achieved if the coach is able to see PSG's weaknesses.

Mbappe experienced a decline in performance in several previous matches and he was only able to score goals from the penalty box in the five matches he played in all competitions. I hope that PSG's dominance will be matched by Monaco and Nice this season so that the Ligue 1 competition will be much more interesting to watch.

It's will be really fun to see the race between PSG and Monaco for the league title this season, just like in the bundesliga where Stuttgart and Leverkusen is displacing Bayern Munich to stay at the top, Monaco maintaining a top position as against PSG would make the Ligue 1 more fun to watch as there will be much to keep in anticipation rather than the usual custom of always seeing PSG at the top.

It will be nice if we get to experience a different champion by the end of the season but I still fear if Monaco could be able to achieve that well enough, because they are yet to prove how definite they can be with consistency to maintain their current spot, just like PSG they were once up there till some issues arose which led to their slow down, but if Monaco could take advantage of this period and gather some more points difference away from every other team, a match or two wouldn't cause them so much of their position.

PSG was one of the all-time favorites to win the Ligue 1 title but this season I don't want to say anything beforehand because the Ligue 1 title could go beyond PSG this season. If they return to the performance that PSG performed in the beginning, it will be challenging for them to be number one to five in the points table. Closing the gap to 2 points with Monaco is not a difficult task for PSG but whether they can maintain their consistency like this is a big challenge for PSG now. PSG already have no major achievements so if they lose the Ligue 1 title this season they will be heavily criticized as a club. Of course they will have to try to retain the Ligue 1 title this season.
Im quite dissatisfied with PSG's performance this season, to be honest. Without Messi and Neymar, they appear to lack direction. But what is the most striking letdown? The player Mbappe. His thoughts appear to be elsewhere, possibly still dwelling on the prospective transfer to Real Madrid. Why would he remain at PSG if he is so intent on moving? And lets not even discuss the preposterous billion-dollar offer he turned down from the Saudi league. It is evident that he is counting days at PSG. With the upcoming match against Monaco, I fear for PSG's championship prospects. Monaco has demonstrated consistency, whereas PSG, despite its players, is in disarray. Enrique has a daunting assignment, and I feel for him. If they fail to win the Ligue 1 championship, I anticipate significant criticism and potential club reorganisation. They must merely perform better.

PSG has dominated and proven their dominance throughout the France league with excellent performance and brilliant abilities in terms of player possession. For years, there has been no match for Les Parisiens, but I have an awareness that this season will be different because there is a lot going on in Parc du Princes stadium. AS Monaco and Nice are both competing for the Ligue One crown, but the real question is whether these sides will maintain consistency in league games throughout the course of the season. If they can, I am convinced that Paris Saint-Germain will struggle to catch up to them in terms of points on the table.
When a league is dominated by one or two clubs that are champions, usually there will still be other clubs that provide different things, but unfortunately, that only happens at the start of the season, and slowly but surely competing teams such as Monaco and Nice or others are starting to have difficulty maintaining their performance remains the same as at the start of the season so it provides an opportunity for PSG to finally take over the position of leader of the standings until the end of the season, we could see that last season in the Bundesliga and English Premier League, and maybe this season it will also happen in Ligue 1, where Monaco and Nice finally started to lose its position and slowly PSG took over, and if PSG can't become champions this season I think the PSG owner will carry out a major overhaul and Luiz Enrique will only have one season at the Paris club because Nasser Al-Khelafi always wants his club to be champions and actually not only in Ligue 1 but also the Champions League.

Yes, Lens seems to have experienced a significant decline lost several players who contributed greatly to its team last season so this season it has not succeeded in maintaining the stability of the team's performance and the new players recruited by Lens have not been able to adapt well so Lens has not been able to work well together. and currently lens has to fight hard to avoid the relegation zone.

Lens performed extraordinary when facing Arsenal in the Champions League and managed to win, but today he drew with PSV and the position in group B has changed, he was shifted by Arsenal, currently in first place and only 1 point different.
Indeed, Lens has not received defeat in the Champions League and maybe I think he will focus more on the Champions League than on the domestic league this season.

It's too early to take such conclusion while we have not yet seen how consistent the middle tier club like monaco and nice. These clubs could become a hard rock to be passed by PSG. We have not yet entered the middle season.
I think that the current standing can also change anytime. you have not yet seen how consistent PSG till the middle of season. There is also probability for mbappe to leave from there as well.

This is my reason to make sure that if everything goes well for PSG till the middle of season. You shall also aware about how nantes or even reims can also perform so well this season.
I remember when nantes was performing so badly last season but the coach has made many improvements to the club.

AS Monaco and Nice have chance to compete PSG for Ligue 1 tittle race but until how many matches later have consistency performance? I doubt with AS Monaco or Lens will be in the winning trend and make PSG difficult to defend their domestic league tittle last season. Ligue 1 have played 9 matches and there are fewest points remaining between Nice and AS Monaco, one winning match later is enough for PSG return to the top standing if their compete teams AS Monaco and Nice loss their points on upcoming match.

Monaco opponent teams upcoming match is Lille and seems not easy to get three points looking with current position from Lille on 4th, the other compete teams Nice will face Clermont Foot and seems not problem for winning in this match. But I don't sure both team will have capacity for stopping PSG to be winner in domestic league.

It would be really fun to watch a championship race between Monaco and PSG. In fact, both teams are strong and effective teams in France. If Mbappe is sold for a transfer in the winter transfer, Paris may be in a much worse situation in the league. If this happens, they should definitely transfer a good player instead.

this is what will become more interesting when the competition becomes more competitive, there will be no boredom because to reach the top of the standings, big clubs have to fight harder to win the League 1 title and interestingly enough, PSG is currently unable to immediately catch up with Monaco which is only 2 points behind and if in the next match PSG can succeed in getting 3 more points, Monaco and Nice will definitely be shifted by PSG, but it not be that easy because Monaco will definitely not let PSG shift their position and will definitely fight to get 3 points from the next match. pressure like this will create a new experience for Enrique to quickly reach the top of the standings and if that fails at the end of the season without success in League 1 and UCL maybe Enrique will have to say goodbye to PSG.

It is really difficult not to notice Lens' interesting form this season. I don't know why they are focusing this intensely on the Champions League. Of course they make good amount of money from the matches. But it started to be like nearly all of their concentration is on that competition these days.

This can harm their Ligue 1 placement very negatively in the long run also. Maybe they are thinking like it is still the beginning of the season. But it is always better to act in time to not have bigger problems later on.

Hopefully Lens can start a good form. They lost some key players indeed but obviously it doesn't affect them very bad in the Champions League. They should do the same in the Ligue 1 too.

It sounds non sense if lens let its performance declined so hard just to play in the UCL. Lens needs also to finish at the top position at the end of the current season to make sure the club will also able to participate in the uCL next season. Lens needs also to solve its horrible performance in the league 1.
I meant does it make sense to see lens to let a chance to participate in the UCL next season go away? We have some strong clubs like nice but i would prefer lens to appear again in the UCL next season. I can't even belive that if lens was not caring with league 1.

The performance of lens was underrated but it doesn't mean the club has put all of its concentration in the to UCL. Lens's chance to win UCL is almost zero.

There are so many great clubs who were targeting the trophy but lens can take money as target to be raised from the UCL competition. It's likely lens is working to climbing up again in the local competition.

It's good to see that lens is trying to move forward.
