Still, if they finish the season with two cups, league and domestic cup, and then start with their domestic super cup, then that would not be bad at all, that's still quite good. They don't do that very often, even though they win the league all the time.

I always say that though, relying on one player is never the right thing to do for any team. No matter how rich your team is, you need to care about the whole team rather than only specific individuals.

If you want proof, just look at UCL and what outside of PSG does, no other team from France does anything at UCL, they are just like some smaller nation low budget team, they are not good at all. This is why I think it's quite important to see that France doesn't have any other good team, and that's why they keep getting bad results. The moment we start to see other teams do well at UCL as well, then we will know that France has some good teams, but right now PSG is the only good team there.

Probably one of the reasons why the French Ligue1 seems to be less valuable despite the fact that many people consider the league to be one of Europe's elite football leagues. But over the years the league has been dominated by a particular club which has seemingly reduced the pedigree of the league because there seem to be no viable contenders who can dethrone PSG from the top. PSG has been dominating the domestic league since the Qatari owners acquired the club and began to bring in world class player into the club and several world class coaches who have turned the club's fortune around for good except winning the champions league. At the moment I do not see any other club than can withstand PSG at the moment but it still doesn't mean they would be unbeaten this season.

Though Paris Saint Germaine were able to reach the semi finals of the UEFA Champions League competition last season, I never considered them a serious contender to win the competition from the start of last season and my reason was simply because of the fact that it was Luis Enrique's first season at the club. I understand that other big clubs in the UCL are focused on winning the title as well but I think Paris Saint Germaine might shock everyone by going one more step or even two further than they reached last season by winning the competition.

In the French league, I don't think Paris Saint Germaine have any reason not to win the league title even when I know they'll face strong competition from Marseille who have been incredibly impressive this season. Luis Enrique have all the needed quality players to achieve everything he wants to achieve this season and I'll be very happy to see his PSG side do the unthinkable this season.

It's not new that PSG want to win Champions League as they invested so much money through past years and only had one Champions League with a defeat under Bayern Munich. They want to have other Champions League final matches and want to win it for a first time, to make a milestone for their club, then will continue with more titles.

Ligue 1 is a domestic league where they have to play to get a ticket to Champions League, and they will have to continue fighting there, but winning titles in Ligue 1 is no longer interesting with PSG.
