Last season Lens finished in Ligue 1 in 7th place and only 2 points behind Lyon who were in 6th place and had the opportunity to participate in the Europa League, for this season maybe Lens will try to do better and they can be part of one of the European competitions.
At the beginning of the season Lens managed to get two wins and one draw, clearly this is still much better than Lyon who only managed to get one win and two losses, in the next meeting I sure Lens will be able to get good results by beating Lyon.

Lyon game will only be able to show good quality when they play against much weaker team or play at home with an opponent who is not so strong, in the next match Lyon will play away and I doubt they can create competitive game.
For H2H actually this will never refer to being able to predict the results, but we can see the quality of both team which still shows that Lens is much more consistent so there will be pressure that makes it difficult for Lyon to be able to play like before when they got their first win.
Too soon to talk about the performance of Lyon in this season yet. So far they had three games and they got three points in these games they had. Strasbourg was the only team they could beat while even Strasbourg is not a strong team to say Lyon had hard work against them.
However, we can't forget in the last season Lyon was even about to get relegated but in the last new year they had improved and had much better performance. There is a chance to see the same thing from them in this season again.
Yes, it is still too early to talk about Lyon assessment, but at least in the first few matches like this, we can see picture of Lyon match that will meet team that has almost the same performance last season.
Lyon vs Lens match is not an easy match for Lyon and of course we can study and analyze a little for the course of the match later, I sure Lens is not team that can be easily defeated by Lyon as they previously defeated Strasbourg.
But Lens and Lyon are not stable team and have consistent performance from each season, for this season the same thing will likely happen where they walk to finish the competition mysteriously or cannot be predicted accurately, what is clear in this match is that Lens is the favorite.

I don't believe that PSG problem has been the absence of star players, remember the MNM, Neymar, Mbappé and Messi, and yet, they couldn't achieve anything after their era namely Champions League trophy, even when almost everyone thought they would have lifted the trophy, I kind of think that their major problem has been with getting the right coach to get them to the promise land and to bring the trophy home. Now that they no longer have star players in the team, I wonder what would be their faith going forward.
What if I disagree with you saying the right coach is the problem PSG has gotten, it's definitely not because Enrique isn't a bad one neither was their former, we just need to understand that these coaches in their capacity tried and they just didn't have probably the enabling environment and the appropriate technicalities suitable for the team because if they do of course they will have had a good chance at the champions League, beyond domestic leagues is a very different spirit that comes with the champions League some times but only a few are able to match up, with PSG they should try grooming and see how well it will work for them away from the usual.
I also support your opinion that PSG's shortcomings are not in the coach but in the players and also the new environment that they have to adapt to in order to make the right decisions when competing in either the domestic league or the campions league. Enrique is a coach who has experience in facing the big teams he coached before coaching at PSG. The enthusiasm of the players should also be able to adapt to the formation set by a coach in order to match several previous records. PSG's problem is not with the coach, they have to better organize suitable player positions after Mbappe left for Madrid. PSG seems to have lost a key player.

PSG should dominate the French league so that they give us the impression that they are fully prepared for the Champions League. I have been expecting a Champions League championship from Paris Saint-Germain for many years. However, no matter how much money they spent, they could not achieve this. Perhaps Enrique was a coach who could achieve this, but he was not in that team during the Messi era. If such a coach had been present after the dream team was formed, they might have been champions. Although I do not have much hope for this year, they will be one of the teams that I will follow.
If you look at PSG in the last few matches, you will definitely have the thought that they will be able to dominate the French league again, of all the teams that have done 3 matches only PSG has a full victory, while this PSG can still be said to be the leader of the standings.

Next is the match against Brest and to beat them is not so difficult especially in this match PSG as the host, of course their confidence will be very high, and Brest will be very difficult to handle a situation like this, I think they will go home with only defeat.

PSG's move to focus more on the Champions League is very appropriate because in Ligue 1 no team has been able to surpass PSG until this season and Brest itself will also be quite overwhelmed when having to face a team like PSG who in general have been much more consistent in playing in Ligue 1 this season. In addition, the next match for PSG is to be the home team with Brest as their guest and that certainly will not make PSG afraid because PSG is always better when playing at home with any opponent in Ligue 1.
PSG have been focusing on the Champions League games for the last few years, because they don't have enough competition in Ligue 1 to put more effort into it than they do. And PSG rarely had any problems in the group stage, the main difficulty starts at the playoff stage. I think Enrique will play to win against Brest, because they don't have such a big advantage over their opponents in Ligue 1, PSG will most likely try to score a few quick goals and then calmly bring this match to victory.

I do think that sometimes the condition of the Ligue 1 that makes it not to be too tough of a league is what makes it difficult for PSG to succeed in the champions league. The level of intensity in their league competition is very low so, if they reciprocate the same thing when they’re playing against teams in the champions league, it makes it very difficult for them to go far in the competition. The champions league is such that, it requires more effort in order to prevail like other teams participating in the competition. PSG has already conquered the Ligue 1, they just need to do the same to the champions league and the day they do that, that’ll be one of the memorable events to have taken place for them as a team.

I agree with you, nobody should conclude on the inability of PSG not winning the champions league as a result of them not having a star players or professionals as the case may be, PSG has had a bad experience having quality players who couldn't help them achieve the UCL trophy all through their time they can not afford to bring in more star players when are rebuilding the team with young vibrant players.

The current coach of PSG Enrique understands his work as a good coach and he has done a great work in the team from their performance in the league so far it will only take him some time to continue the reign as the ligue1 champion while he also push the team to achieving the champions League trophy as they better their performance.

Maybe most people believe that when there are star players PSG can win the champions league, but in fact not, even when a few steps away from being able to get it, I remember once they were too confident, but other teams are much better than PSG, such as Manchester City and Real Madrid who have extraordinary abilities.

We remember that last season PSG could only reach the semi-finals and lost to Dortmund who didn't even have a star player like Mbappe, you have to remember that in a team all players have to work and have the best performance and at PSG only have an attack with unequal line abilities, this is because Enrique trusts too much in his attack to get the victory, I hope he can learn his mistakes.
And for now he is starting to improve and it seems that PSG are much better in terms of their playing style, the league 1 cup is still possible for them.

PSG became the champions in 6 of the previous 7 seasons. That is a huge domination but a boring one at the same time. There is no real competition in the Ligue 1 for years but like I have said many times, there is nothing we can do about it.  Sad

But at least it is going to be more fun to watch PSG from now on as it seems. Because we have a more complete team. Honestly I was also one of the people who doubted them after Mbappe left. But I admit I was totally wrong. Now they are literally set free after his departure.  Tongue  I always say that though, relying on one player is never the right thing to do for any team. No matter how rich your team is, you need to care about the whole team rather than only specific individuals.
I think it is not boring if there is another rivalry going at the same time, the problem is that nobody really fights for second place that much neither, that's the issue. If we had PSG be first all the time, and then other teams have some good matches that worth watching and had some stories and some narrative, then maybe it would make sense.

However, even Lille, who won that one title, do not look that great in most years, not like they were second many times after that, it's really becoming boring not just because of PSG, but others not being that great neither. Marseille and Monaco seems like they are doing something to change that, and that could make the league more fun, and could get it entertaining.

If you want proof, just look at UCL and what outside of PSG does, no other team from France does anything at UCL, they are just like some smaller nation low budget team, they are not good at all. This is why I think it's quite important to see that France doesn't have any other good team, and that's why they keep getting bad results. The moment we start to see other teams do well at UCL as well, then we will know that France has some good teams, but right now PSG is the only good team there.

I also see this in PSG now, PSG is better without star players because in the last few matches PSG has always won big. It can be said that PSG without Mbappe plays more freely, more collectively, so their game is compact. In the squad if there is a player who is too favored and has a very high salary with other players, it will not be good for team cohesion and Enrique is aware of that. Enrique is indeed the type of coach who prefers team cohesion rather than relying on individuals, very different from previous coaches, this was also seen when Mbappe was still at PSG, he did not rely too much on one player.
Enrique is indeed known to be extraordinary in building cohesion within a team and this has been seen again in PSG now so it is also very natural that PSG wins a lot without the influence of any individual because all players try to play as well as possible in every match there is. I also want PSG to be much stronger than last season so that there will be tougher competition in the Champions League later because in Ligue 1 PSG only face ordinary teams where PSG can win a lot without pressing with deadly attacks.

Frankly speaking I didn't know that PSG can perform this better without Mbappe, until he left we were able to see the potentiality in the players like they are all good in their respective positions. Enrique has really made huge improvements for the club and we can all vividly see that no player is too important in the club as the unavailability or absent of any player cannot stop the team from being better. I also have same sentiment that they gonna become more better this season since they don't have any player as being very outstanding like the way they monopolized Kylian Mbappe until he left the club so they will make huge improvements in the Champions League this season and it will really feel so good if they make it to the champions league finals this season and possibly win it.

PSG struggles to qualify for the Champions League finals, despite consistently winning league titles. Despite having Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe in the club, they have yet to win the trophy. They were stopped by Real Madrid, and Dortmund did the same last season. Let us see if they can win the UCL this season, as they are performing well even without Mbappe.

Seeing PSG finding it difficult to win the Champions League all this pass season, especially when the squad included great players like Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé, I just feel that they are not lucky. That is the reason why they were not able to win the UCL trophy. If any team should have these three kinds of players in the squad, I would expect the team to win the UCL. The funny part is that, during the period when they had these three great players in the team, it was even the period they couldn't make it to the semi-finals, let alone the final. The season they were lucky to reach the final, when almost everyone expected PSG to win the UCL trophy, they lost the game to Bayern Munich.

I think PSG will struggle this season because they lack a superior striker who can win games for them, but I am mistaken; they have started the season on a high note, winning all of their matches. I believe PSG will do exceptionally well this season in the UCL. I'm witnessing how Barcola is doing well for PSG, scoring goals and replacing Mbappe in his position. Let's see if Luis Enrique has a shot in the Champions League this season now that the UCL pattern has changed, and I'm sure many clubs will get the chance to perform well with other clubs.

With the form psg have started  season with currently, if they continue like that, they probably won’t struggle in the Champions League that much this season. Sometimes, it's not about having world-famous players in the squad to achieve certain things. It's all about teamwork, which can bring success. When Mbappe left PSG, many said that PSG would struggle at first, but look at the team now and how well they are performing. I can't really say if they will reach the final stage of the Champions League, but the confidence I have in PSG is that they won’t struggle to pass some stages in the competition.

PSG has won their first 3 matches this season with big scores and this shows that losing Mbappe has not had a negative impact on their attack line so far in ligue 1, but I think we can't deny that Ligue 1 trophies is actually not be main target from PSG  at the moment, the big victory achieved by PSG in Ligue 1 is not something that has surprised us so far because Ligue 1 is not a very competitive league and makes it difficult for PSG to achieve every victory and championship trophy, but I think losing Mbappe will have a big impact when they play in the Champions League, Enrique is an experienced coach but we don't It can be denied that without a qualified squad, of course they won't be able to win the championship trophy later, so I think without players who are able to make a lot of difference, of course it will be difficult for PSG to be able to compete in the Champions League, which contains great clubs from Europe so far...!
You cannot conclude that PSG will not be able to win UCL without professional players because with all the professional players that they had in the past, they were still unable to win UCL that season. I could remember when PSG was having Mbappe, Messi and Neymar were PSG the club performance was very poor in UCL that season.

Enrique might be able to use his own team that he will build in future to win UCL because I see that he is a good coach, and he is improving the performance of the team gradually for a better result tomorrow.

I know Luis Enrique as a coach who has good experience in Europe. He has won many titles with Barcelona, Luis Enrique even won the treble with Barcelona in the 2014-2015 season as coach. Of course that's long enough to be stated now, but he is a quality coach who is likely capable of taking the team to be better than ever.

Last season, Luis Enrique failed to bring PSG to the Champions League final because they lost to Dortmund in the semifinals. This season Luis Enrique has another chance to prove his quality, but always to reach the Champions League final and win the title. PSG must have a strong mentality to win the title, but I agree because I don't think that will happen this season.

Although previously I also doubted PSG regarding Mbappe departure, but at the same time at that time I also thought maybe PSG would be better without Mbappe because PSG would play as a whole team and would certainly be better. An example happened to Tottenham at that time when Kane left but Tottenham managed to have good started in the new season with his new manager at that time, at least at the beginning of the season when Tottenham also managed to be at the top of the Premier League standings. But unfortunately, because the competition in the Premier League is very difficult, it makes Tottenham also fail to maintain this good performance.

But when it comes to PSG, then of course PSG will manage to maintain its top position in the Ligue 1 standings, because basically PSG is the best team in Ligue 1. So yes, even though this looks quite boring but for me personally it doesn't matter because with the high dominance that PSG has in Ligue 1,it will certainly make other teams also make their best efforts to be able to provide difficult resistance to PSG, and that remains interesting to me.
Overall, there is no significant change in the competition for the trophy in Ligue 1, PSG still looks very dominant compared to other contestants. Luis Enrique still has the most expensive squad in Ligue 1, so without Mbappe they can still conquer every challenge. In the three matches that have been played, they were able to get full points and scored 13 goals and only conceded 2 goals. This means that PSG current attack line has proven to be very productive without Mbappe, and their defense is also very solid. This indicates that PSG has been able to forget Mbappe, and Luis Enrique now has a collective squad.

However, it is not certain that PSG will be fine when playing in the Champions League, because the intensity of the competition is very different, it is very possible that PSG will have difficulty winning without a striker of Mbappe caliber. Apart from all that, personally I really like PSG policy in this transfer window, they showed a different courage by not recruiting a star player to replace Mbappe. We know how big PSG ambition is to win the Champions League, without relying on their star players, they want to try their luck with confidence starting by facing Girona.

Mbappe's departure did not end PSG's dominance because the quality of other teams in the league is still below PSG. I thought there would be a big gap in the team when Mbappe left, and I still think the same because PSG has not faced a strong opponent yet. The performance in the Champions League will show more clearly what kind of situation PSG is in.

When star players leave their clubs, there is a big gap in the team and it is difficult to handle this. We will see what PSG will do in this situation.

Focusing on the champions League may not really be a bad idea but at this point I don't agree that it should be a primary focus for PSG as it may turn out just putting efforts at points where you may not really get the kind of productivity you expected especially as the team is having to deal with reshuffle that happened in the team over the transfer window recently, it will be more productive if they rather focus on the team build and making up for a few vacuums they have got and probably an intensed attempt in subsequent season would work much better than this season, although there's no limitations to the much they can achieve in a. Season especially if they put their mind to it depending on their strategy for the season.
If we talk about Supposing , then maybe PSG will exchange all the Ligue 1 trophies they currently have for the Champions League trophy, because indeed that the UCL trophy has PSG been fighting for for many years, spending a lot of money to bring in many stars is not because they want to continue winning the Ligue 1 trophy all this time, but PSG has wasted a lot of money so far just to be able to win the Champions League trophy for the this time, while the Ligue 1 competition is nothing but a way for them to get tickets and qualify for the Champions League so far, so I think  if PSG main target is only to win the ligue 1 trophy so far, then they won't want to spend a lot of money to recruit many stars in their squad because indeed the competition that has occurred in Ligue 1 so far is too easy for them to win even without Messi,  Mbappe, Neymar and Donnarumma.

Saint Etienne didn't start the league well.Saint Etienne didn't even score a goal in the first 3 weeks.Saint Etienne is in last place in the league with 0 points after 3 defeats.Lille lost 3-1 at home to PSG last week. They also had 2 wins in the league.Saint Etienne seems to put an end to its inability to score goals in this match. The last 4 matches between them have ended in a draw. There is a high probability that this match will also end in a draw.Lille may think about the Champions League match and rotate in this match.

It seems like there is nothing to worry about PSG's schedule in September although indeed, PSG has a schedule to play in the Champions League but still, PSG can still be sure to win. Playing against Brest in Ligue 1 and then playing against Girona in the Champions League is no problem because obviously, PSG still has a better chance because PSG also still  has good quality compared to Brest and Girona. Not only that, because in the match against Brest and then against Girona,  the fact is that PSG is also playing  at home.

I agree, but in football there is no such thing as coincidence. On paper PSG has a great chance to win the two matches we discussed. On the field, the situation can change. Okay, defeating Brest, we can understand it because they were previously slaughtered by Marseille. Theoretically, PSG can win that match by a landslide. But in the Champions League, the atmosphere is different. Even though PSG is playing at home and is in a positive trend, Girona can also surprise. Although in terms of opportunities, Girona's chances of defeating PSG will be very difficult. But as we know, in football it is unique and things often happen that are beyond prediction. One more thing, Michel, Girona's coach is a smart coach. But okay, we agree, however Paris Saint-Germain is in very good form. It seems that the two matches are not a problem for Luiz Enrique's team.
PSG's current performance is positive, losing Mbappe did not make PSG decline, from 3 matches in League 1 they were able to collect 13 goals, their productivity is no longer in doubt.
Against Brest in week 4 the results are already visible, PSG will likely win big.
Regarding the UCL I agree this is a different level even though on paper PSG is superior to Girona but we must remember that the La Liga team is very tough and often provides surprises, PSG must be more vigilant and maximize the advantage as the host.
