Gambling addict will not listen easily, they are drowning on their greed and they need proper assistance and medication, I'm talking about the worst case scenario of being addict in gambling. As much as possible, you have to help yourself if you are still in the early stage of addiction, it's not too late for you. Gambling addicts will never gamble responsibly because the negative effects of their addiction make it difficult for them to make good decisions. I never agree with a gambler being forced directly to stop gambling, it is like a smoker being forced to stop smoking directly.
just like how we live a life full of responsibility, gamblers must also be directed to be able to gamble responsibly such as knowing the time limit for gambling - not having debt for gambling when running out of capital - not committing crimes.

Once a gambler develops addiction, surely he won’t easily admit it and definitely, it will be very hard for him to stay away or even stop from engaging in any gambling activity. Until he used up all his money and create a life changing damages into his life, and seeing himself being drown from loans, maybe by that time when things become too bad for him, he might then ask for help so he can get away from gambling. If only in the first place these gamblers gamble responsibly and have listened to the advices from their parents, they might have avoided gambling from ruining their future. I already made a mistake there and I don't want to amplify it because the chance to lose is still high. Listening from your inner self seems very powerful. I don't think you can only stop temporarily when you do it but maybe you will permanently quit gambling for good.

Even with a lot of warnings and cautions it is the person it self who can control it, it is his will power whether to stop playing gambling for good or keep being addicted to it.
