It is totally depend on gambler, if gambler has a weak decision maker then he will be addicted very quickly but if he has a quality to take the right decision in his life and know about his limit then he can't be addicted. But one thing is clear that gambling is give us addiction and if we give ourself to gambling then we will be addicted gambler very quickly.
I think all gamblers are all addicted to their gambling games, the only thing that is keeping them alive in the game is that:
He is rich, he don't know when to give up the last penny, or he leave the game itself. You can cut lose and leave but you can't put limitations on games because the essence of gambling is to break beyond the point of limitation and expect unexpected returns. Gambling is just leave or play there is no in between. The game is just a win or lose situation so let's not think about putting limitations, because the only one that is putting limitations is the one who are leaving the game itself. Unless you're a occasional gambler where you are just betting because of some bond on some friends in an occasion.
And the urge to win that instant money or just have a return on all that he have lost.
revenge on the other hand is what makes a gambler addicted or destroy himself in the process of revenge. The price tag in every game is the fuel of all these gamblers that want to be the lucky one on top. And the feelings that they are experiencing are priceless towards that goal that's why they are keep playing till the end.
