When a gambler gets addicted to gambling, it's his fault and not the fault of the casino or any other individual therefore when they decide to blame other individuals I don't always get them. You're the one that decided to gamble, nobody is forcing you as you're gambling either as you want to entertain yourself or you're looking to make money therefore you have to discipline yourself so you don't get addicted. Gambling addiction causes many bad behaviours that won't give you good reputation.

Of course, it's not the casino's fault, it's just that people who are addicted to gambling cannot control themselves well when they are in the casino and they are also easily tempted by the many types of casino games available so they dare to bet. quite a lot of money because it is considered a game. it was easy for him to win.

Precisely, if the person can't accept failure it boost more on his adrenaline as he will try to keep thinking about his gambling mistake and most of the time, there's behavioral changes as his focus is more on his losses. Those who understand the feeling of not ready in letting go the amount knows that being a short temper usually being triggered.

You need to have that good attitude in treating the outcome of your game, it will save you from having that swing emotion as you already knew what to do whatever the outcome of your gambling sessions.

More on your emotional control and being responsible from keeping the balance with your money and time managements.

Agree with you, if a gambler tries to accept the defeat or failure he experienced at that time, he might try to stop and go home after recovering his mind well again. That way, he won't be careless in trying to bet again, even though if he does it will make things worse and he will definitely regret it.

What is the problem and what causes a person to be addicted is the lack of understanding of what gambling really is, they only underline that gambling is a place to change the fate in life by utilizing opportunities, but they do not understand that opportunities are just "possibilities" which means there is absolutely no certainty to become a reality and it will really happen when you are lucky.
Addiction is not always because of a lack of understanding. Sometimes, people who know that gambling is all about possibilities and luck and there are no guaranteed gains get addicted to it and the reason behind that is that they do it excessively, maybe not at the initial stage but later on when they have seen that they can win money from it but it's just not guaranteed but their minds keep telling them to try again, what if you win this time?

That is the problem why gamblers become more addicted , the idea of "WHAT IF YOU WIN THIS TIME"

that is why many gamblers turns addicted because of this kind .

Quote
When they keep trying, again and again, to see if they can win something significant, this thing makes them addicted eventually, along with the fact that they might keep trying to recover their losses each time they gamble and we know what happens to those who try to recover their losses.
another point , chasing losses this is also somewhat the reason of addiction.
What if you win this time can never stop coming to your mind if you don't learn to make a change that will not allow you to keep on betting, if you keep thinking "WHAT IF YOU WIN THIS TIME" you will never stop even when your initial deposits are gone you will fund another because your mindset keeps saying what if you win. What if you win thoughts, makes you addicted with time and you can't control it when you are being affected because you are chasing losses.

We all get caught up in the feels, but for gamblers and traders, it's like an emotional rollercoaster on steroids. Winning feels amazing, missing out feels like a punch to the gut, and the FOMO is real.

Remember that time I dove headfirst into crypto futures? My emotions were all over the place, like a chihuahua on a sugar rush. Even my loved ones weren't safe from my trading tantrums! While I still feel the pull sometimes, I've learned to chill and not let the emotions hijack my decisions. Eliminating them entirely? Nah, that's like trying to tame a hurricane with a flyswatter. The key is managing those emotional beasts, not silencing them. Think of it like surfing: you can't control the waves, but you can learn to ride them without getting wiped out.

Whenever I win in the gambling center, my siblings will know because, I will like to buy some things that will make everybody in the house feel good which they are use to such attitude from me whenever I won my bet, but the day I will lose in the gambling they will know when I come back home without buying anything for them.

There are many attitude gamblers use to display whenever they leave the gambling center and, it will make other people to know that some thing bad happen to the person because the person mood will change totally to everyone in the house to know too.

If you have better limit on how much to lose, I dont think your emotion will change that much.
I cant deny that I was like you when I was still in my early gambling journey, luckily experiences teach me a lot and I can learn from it.

In gambling, having a better limit or percentage of bankroll to gamble isn't what matters above emotions rather you need better emotion to be able to manage whatever decision that you have made about your gambling habit or how much you want to be gambling from your bankroll so that at the time you get to that mark then you have the emotional control to stop.

In other words, emotion come before your gambling limit. A good gambling limit or percentage with a wrong or bad emotion will end you up so shaky. You need better control of your emotion so that you can follow your gambling plans just as when you are still uninfluenced by your gambling winnings or loses.

When your gambling activity affect your emotion too much, that's not a good sign and I think you should stop for a while.
Evaluate yourself especially your gambling activity, why it can change your emotion because I think your emotion is changed like 180° means that you lost something that more than you should.
If you have better limit on how much to lose, I dont think your emotion will change that much.

When money preceded everything you do in gambling, the result is always addiction because instead of you to be looking at the fun while making money from the passion and in the end, the money you are so eager to make don't come, I hardly see gambling addicts make good amount of money from gambling, if they do then it means they have lost 5 times of what the have won and that means they have a lot of debt to settle with the one they just won, sometimes they aren't even enough to pay back the money they owe people and relatives due to there addiction.

To prevent gambling addiction, you need to stop chasing after your losses, when you lose don't keep gambling. Always take some break to get back your thinking right as losing can make you not to be thinking in the right sense and all the decisions you take during that time will be leading to more losses instead of making the situation better. When you're having a bad result, pay attention to your behaviour more.

To prevent gambling addiction, you don't have to wait until you have some losses. The first thing you need to do is to remove the mindset of making money that will solve all your life problems, gambling is not a place to get money to live the life you have always dream to have but if it happen, then consider yourself as a lucky champ favour by the luck in gambling. This way, even if you lose, chasing after the loss wouldn't mean anything to you.

However, behavior in gambling is a different matter where a gambler behaves differently when he loses, and rejoices when he wins. Of course, you will always be in a bad mood when you lose gambling but when you win gambling you will be in a good mood, and you will be happy. Patience is the most important thing in gambling because most of the time people lose, very few people win the bet, and they are always in a high mood. But when I won the first gamble I was very happy and when I lost later I felt very bad even though I was very emotional at that time. However, individuals who have become addicted to gambling become more emotional and their behavior worsens when they lose rather than win. An addicted player definitely has a lot of mood swings and a lot of anger inside him and when he loses his behavior changes even more.
In the long run, gambling is a revolution that completely changes personality, a person with a gentle appearance can still turn into a stubborn and aggressive person, it feels like they have held on to too many inhibitions and this is a cover for expressing their resentments. Behavior in gambling is just a contrast between causes, desires and actual results, any outcome pushes the gambler to strange and corresponding emotions, hunger and eating for satisfaction, it's like gambling to regain the initial emotional balance, but once you lose your balance, you won't be able to find the balance again

Gamblers can switch from their best behavior to a worst behavior, when the losses are getting too many. The game is a type that would definitely make gamblers feel the pain of losing their money. But in situations where the gambler is no longer comfortable with his loved ones, he should look into visiting a therapist. As it's a sign of addiction. Problem gambling starts with too many symptoms and behavioral change. When neglected can escalate to a more difficult stage where it gets harder for the person to revive to his normal behavior. Consistent losses increase the problem, and the player won't stop at his first loss, instead the game continues till he exhausts his money, then the anger skyrockets. What could make anybody happy can swing the mood of the gambler. Hence, as gambler we all need to change the mode of our games, once the results are no longer favorable, the gambler can decide to reduce the amount of money he wagers and focus on observing the game.

Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger. Particularly while giving food to kid patience is must. On winning days I let him take his own time and eat. On the losing days I used to shout at him. I'm addicted, and I want fellow gamblers to make a self analysis at regular interval and be on the safer side.
Your level of patience is very unstable because what you have in mind when gambling is how to make money and win the game, especially when gambling has cost you a lot of money and debts have piled up. It's not surprising to me why it is so difficult for you to control your emotions, the personality that you shouldn't show when gathering with your family or children due to not being able to control your emotions when luck is not on your side.
Try to be a more responsible gambler, you should not bring your gambling habits home, you should always be sweet and gentle with your children even if you have just lost a bet.

Yes I understand what you mean here which is that addiction is not always caused by a lack of understanding of what gambling really is, and the other reason you mentioned here that addiction can also be caused by someone who wants to continue to win to the point of overdoing it in terms of doing more experiments, I understand that and I think it still has something to do with "not having the right understanding" because wouldn't having the right and proper understanding of what gambling really is make them not do everything that is excessive to get a win? Of course, so the main point to the problem is the lack of understanding so that when they manage to get a win they instead try harder by all means in order to get a win like that again or in a bigger amount.

The object of victory in gambling is money and everyone needs money to fulfill their needs or buy something they want, meaning that wants and needs will never end while we are alive, and this is the reason why someone can get addicted to gambling, they want results that are always profitable to be able to fulfill their desires in life by putting aside aspects that are actually much more important and should not be ignored in gambling such as "possible risks".

Being responsible also will helps you to maintain your characteristic like both of you said losing control can ends up losing your money and with that concept chances that you'll have a change  in emotion will take place, though some gamblers can still dictate what is needed  and can act normally while  most of those who can't control their emotions have a difficulty to accept their failures and mistake that leads them to lose their money.

The chance that you will see emotional swings with those types of gambler,  they have a hard time accepting and admitting  that it was their fault that they lose when playing.

What you have just said is very true, responsible behavior also has a positive side in controlling ourselves when we gamble. By being responsible, a gambler tries to behave well and not be hasty in making every decision and not only that, by behaving responsibly the gambler plays with full control. good and can limit the amount of betting and when it is time to stop gambling. Therefore, every gambler has a responsibility to prevent addiction resulting from excessive gambling.
Yes, that's right, without responsible behavior in gambling, sometimes someone cannot accept the defeat they experience and is carried away by emotional outbursts, gamblers experience unstable changes in behavior.

Not everyone can attach emotion to gambling which creates bigger obstacles in front of them. After thinking about the harmful aspects of gambling you have to participate in gambling. Think about your family. If you become addicted to enjoying then the behavior changes even if you want to it is not possible to fix it easily. You have to change your mental behavior yourself so that you don't get hurt.

Of sure it is, gamblers do really just like on blaming out people in regarding into their own mistakes on which this isnt shocking behavior but rather this one is really that common. We do know that there are ones who
are really that mindful in regarding about their money spending into the casino and there are ones who are really that impulsive on which it would really be that resulting into tons of spending into gambling
on which it shouldnt really be supposed to be, and since we are just human beings then it would really be just that normal on having those emotions. It is really just that time comes that making decisions are already not something viable or something ideal but due to addiction then almost everyone misses out this kind of basic step.

Responsibility is something that is always recommended in any case especially if you are involved in gambling,

Responsible behavior is very important for a person to have in all his activities, because it is with this sense of responsibility that a person tries to make decisions wisely and correctly, especially in gambling. A gambler who has good responsibility will think about what things he can do and what he shouldn't do.

Behavioral change moves along with pains. When a gambler is in pains of losing his money, he'd easily get aggressive towards his loved ones. The right way to solve such problem is by being very attentive to our mood, knowing when to stop after a win or lose, is quite important. Many feel this way after winning big and end up losing the whole money again. The human brain reacts to such experience, and the gambler will be so sad on the face. Even, in the physical casino, gamblers wear frowned face out of the vicinity, after losing lots of money. Wagering limited amount of money helps the gambler to stay away from this type of behavior. At least being in love with the kids and having a good chat with them is quite very crucial as a father. Gambling shouldn't be the reason why a family should be in violence. In a nutshell, as you both said, accepting responsibility helps a gambler to be focused and know the actual moment to end his gambling session. Those who fail to accept the responsibility, end up chasing losses, thinking that they are up against the house, trying to win the house.

What you say is very true, a gambler who often loses will be very angry and even depressed and will also change his behavior to become very aggressive towards anyone, venting his emotions on other people according to him is to reduce the burden of problems. in his life, but he did not expect that his behavior would make other people feel hurt and distance themselves from him.
Therefore, a sense of responsibility is very important here to perfect self-control to be optimal.

Kids are emotional sponges. They soak up everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly. So, if your gambling takes over, it can mess with the vibe at home, making things tense and stressful for your son. Not cool. Plus, nobody wants their kid to think yelling and gambling are normal, right? Imagine him growing up thinking that's how things work – yikes!

The good news is, you can change the script. Seeking help for your gambling isn't about being weak, it's about being a freaking awesome dad who prioritizes his family's well-being. Think of it as giving your son the best gift ever – a stable, happy home with a dad who's present and in control. There are tons of resources out there, online and in your community, ready to lend a hand. You don't have to go it alone, bro.

By working on yourself, you're not just fixing a problem, you're building a brighter future for everyone. Imagine the memories you can create with your son when you're free from addiction and focused on being the best dad you can be. That's a win way bigger than any gambling jackpot.

I agree with your view. Most people are aware of the implications of gambling every day and are still caught in the web of addiction. So, addiction doesn`t mean prevention or an escape route. Pete Rose, a former professional baseball player and manager, is one of the most well-known cases of gambling addiction in the sports world. Despite being banned from baseball for betting on games, Rose continued to struggle with gambling addiction for many years. One might wonder how but it did happen. Does it mean Pete Rose doesn`t have an understanding? To me he does but that didn't prevent him from being addicted.

A similar story is that of Archie Karas who is a famous gambler known for his incredible winning streak in the 1990s when he turned $50 into $40 million through high-stakes poker and pool hustling. However, Karas’ story took a dark turn when he lost all his winnings due to his gambling addiction. This is another story to justify that addiction is not a lack of understanding.
