Gambling, from no angle, can be declared or called a profession. It is just a game, a source of entertainment, an activity that kills spare time very well and a hangout(for some people). Those who gamble are players but those who own such gambling place are businessman. They became owner of gambling business. If it was a profession in any way, you would have learnt the skills long ago.

Gambling is all for those who know how to play it and how to get benefit from gambling. There are so many gamblers who are earning only with gambling and they have become so professional as the example we have... to become professional in gambling just need a sharp mind and good luck. If you are lucky and you have gambling skills trust me then you don’t need any other way to get money but if you are not lucky then it’s risky to rely only on gambling.

don't worry buddy because the topic stands not only for gamblers but also to those people who works in Gambling businesses or even the owner of gambling itself.because they also got fortune in gambling as a profession .

but like yu?yeah sometimes i have got to think of being jealous why i am not awarded with gamblers luck and skills to get easy money lol

Personally, I can think of only one kind of a real-life scenario when a billionaire would turn into a homeless person (purely hypothetical cases aside). This may happen when the billionaire in question was either born into wealth and not properly raised ("born with a silver spoon in his mouth"), or was given all that wealth by some strange twist of luck (think lottery or even gambling itself here)

So if that billionaire made himself into a billionaire "from ground up" (think Bill Gates here, though he comes from a very well-to-do family), it is highly unlikely that he will turn into a gambling addict and then move to live under the bridge because this sweet "spot" in his mind is already taken up by something else (most certainly, by that something which made him into a billionaire in the first place)

The important thing is they know when to stop gambling because they can gamble anytime they want, but mostly, gamblers forget to know when they need to stop gambling. If you're going to use gambling as a profession, you need many things to prepared or otherwise, you will lose your money, and that will waste time to lose the money many times.

People who want to use gambling as a profession will fail in the long term because if they cannot learn many things about the game, and they cannot control themselves, which will only wait for the time to lose the money.

There's no sense  to make a living when you are already a billionaire, unless you keep winning but if not and you are uncertain with the outcome, then its likely just putting yourself into the big hole of getting addicted.

When you have a lot of money, you have a lot to lose, therefore you are at a high risk.
To be homeless because of gambling is a big shame, learn to be contented in life and consider gambling only as an entertainment with moderation.

It's not the actual jealousy that you have in your mind. I've said that I'm jealous because I'm not the same as them. But I'm happy for their fortune that they've experienced with gambling.

About being homeless from billionaire, well that's their problem if they are not good in handling money.

If professional gamblers is being used for old players then well and good otherwise, the literal meaning of this term does not hold true. The longer you play this game, the more you become it addict and the more it becomes difficult to stay away from this game. There are very few people who have mastered the art of self control. Moreover, only poker players do get some benefit with time.

Agree with you, a good gambler must know when it is time to gamble and when it is time to stop gambling. Just manage your money for gambling and never cross your limit when you feel you are in trouble just stop gambling for some time then again you can gamble later when you become mentally relax as lose gives stress even if it’s miner lose.

There are lots of professional gambler. but to become a professional gambler you do require a lot of external skills to become a professional gambler.

firstly I do not categorise casino or chance games to be a good way to be a professional gambler. all games that have a house edge just cannot be a full time source of income. cause in the long run you will never end up in profit when playing casino games, slots and other games with house edge.

I do believe you can become a professional gambler and lots of them exist already. But I do believe you can only become a professional gambler in gambling games of skill. In my opinion the 2 only ways to consider yourself a professional gambler is to be successful in poker or in sports betting.

But it is not that easy to become a professional gambler and you need a lot more than just some skills and luck. I know a couple professional sport bettors and poker players myself and they all are very intellectual people. To become a professional poker player or sports bettor you need to have a lot of experience with maths, statistics and analytical skills.

You can have a good life as professional gambler but it can't be underestimated. I know a professional sport bettor. He is doing sports bets full time since 1998 and I know he and his team of analysts spent many more hours on analysing games, verifying statistics than they actually bet. Lets say it takes 1 hour daily to effectively place the bets but it takes 8-12 hours of work upfront placing the bets.... And most important of all he makes a good living out of it but he is by far become a millionaire.

You can become a professional but with the right mindset. You need to be willing to put in many more hours than you would do in a regular job and you cannot have the intention to become millionaire overnight.

You can hit the jackpot in a poker tournament but that are only 5% of total professional poker community that makes such huge cashes. 95% of professional poker player make a good living but not become a millionaire.
Same for professional sports punters. They never chase huge winnings but they place thousands of bets on a monthly basis to keep in a positive ROI.


So conclusion: There are many professional gamblers but it is a tough life and not always the glitter and glamour you see from those poker players winnings millions in 1 single tournament. Majority of professional gamblers need to work and spend ten times more time to make their living out of gambling.

Even the professional gamblers are losing some money. Its just a matter on when they will stop (self control).

Professional gamblers (if there are) know when to stop and when to play. If they know that they aren't lucky at that time then they will stop and call it a day. Even the most skilled and the most experienced gamblers doesn't win all the time. For me, it will be a matter of if you are lucky or not

Poker is the most gambling game there is. If you put 4 very skilful players against each other - their fate (mostly) lies in the shuffled deck order.

I think there are a lot of people who leave in gambling and earn a lot of profit in gambling but I think making this as a profession is not a good idea because as we all know in gambling we don't always win the bet or the game sometimes or a lot of time we could also lose a great amount of money so I don't think it is recommended to make it your profession. Thinking of this I think gambling your money sometimes could be good but gambling all of your money probably is not a good gamble probably it is will be worth it if you invest some in your passive income.

You shouldn't be jealous of anyone who's winning big on gambling because unless that person takes serious therapies, he will sooner or later bust away his winnings again because the hook with gambling is very strong and never under estimate this addiction. It's seriously very dangerous and yeah, it will make you homeless from billionaire and you won't even notice.

yes,even though poker has its lucky elements is way more skill based game, I wouldn't consider it gambling, for sure.

It's a fact that there are people who make good money from gambling, but not everyone realizes that it's almost always a temporary thing. Luck can't be always on your side, and, sooner or later, average gambler will encounter a really long losing streak which will kill all his/her previous winnings. But since over a billion people gamble each year, statistically some of them can keep winning for a very long period of time, like 30 years or even longer. The likelihood of a coin landing on its edge is extremely small, but you'll definitely see several of such cases within millions of tries. But would you bet on that to happen with one try? I don't think so. But the chances of a coin landing on its edge are much higher than the chances of making gambling your profession and being successful with that for years.

Surely luck matters in gambling as I know to become a good gambler you must have good luck that can make you win but to become a professional gambler only luck cannot make you win but you must have skills and you must have plenty of knowledge to win with the tricks and also you should have experience and guts to face risk of gambling.

I'm jealous of them because gambling is truly for them and they have it with their luck and also with applied experience. It's true, it's like a dream job of others.

You don't have to work from 9am to 5pm but we all know how huge the risk is.

They play because it is also a good source of income every game you win; there is also a substantial profit you can earn, but still, this is risky. However, to always be the master of every game, you need to have given time to study well every style and skills to make you a better player. You will meet a good player or a more significant player than you soon, it is better to be ready. Sometimes in online gambling has a disadvantage. No, I am sure there is a professional gambler, but only a few of them showing in public. I agree that every gambler has different luck, but that will depend on what game he played. We know that gambling is pure luck, but we can get those luck with some help from the skills, the knowledge that we have so we have a chance to win. Yes, we can still lose some money, but that is why we need to manage our money in gambling, so we don't have to lose much money.
