What I understand by gambling for fun is simply not to have the mindset that you want to make huge profit from gambling and you can only achieve that fun thing about gambling by not having the profit mindset in gambling. In other words, you have to reduce your risk appetite in your gambling and stake just a meager amount that will make your heart beat not be doubled when you lose  

But the point is how many people really come gambling because you want to have fun?   Hahaha. If you want to have fun and you mean to have fun then there other ways to have fun. You can find your to a video game centre, search the internet for games to play, go swimming with your wife or friends or go watch matches live without staking on them. If you make a stake then you are probably not going to be having fun with that because your is emotions is attached to the money you have staked and expected to win.

I do not see anything wrong in both viewpoints. But of you are neither correct or wrong and we do not have for compel one person to accept our viewpoint. Our live experiences have forced us develop opinions on several life issues. Oshosondy, you have always advocated for responsible gambling which is to gamble for fun based on your past experience. And this message is geared towards newbies.

For Fivestar4everMVP his own life experience has made him to adopt that viewpoint too and there is nothing wrong with that.  We do not all have to agree. The crucial thing here is that so long as you are gambling and you do not get addicted to it whether you do it for fun or for the money then by all means it is fine.

This has always been said to gamble only for fun and don't go too much expecting that you'll be fortunate to win a fortune through it. While in some cases, they're winning a lot and became rich through gambling but that's them and not ours. We have to change our approach as we gamble for us not to get hurt much emotionally when we do. Everyone is free to have fun as long as you can take the loss that you're about to spend with that money of ours. The wrong thought about gambling is that when a gambler tastes some few wins, that changes his perspective that it's possible to get rich on it. Change the attitude towards gambling and just enjoy as much as you can. If you win, nice, if you lose then move on.

Everyone who engages with gambling activities will really have a tendency to lose their money because of the risk present, and that's a normal thing in this industry. Regardless if you are after huge or small amount of money, as long as there's an expectancy of profit, you will be categorized under gamblers who are after money from this industry. People who claims to be gambling for fun just happened to afford the consequences which is loss. Meaning, they won't be in deep feelings of frustration and regrets no matter what the outcome is, unlike with people who are only after profit that gets too emotional especially after losing an aount of their bankroll. Idea is; the more you exect, the more it affects you. Also with interaction, it depends on the individual, 'coz you could not be sociable even with landbased casinos, same thing with how  gambler enjoys the experience.

To my perspective, the agitations of not gambling with the aim of making profit is to verbally assist those gamblers who are unable to control their gambling emotions to the points of ruining their life at the cost gaining income.
There is absolutely no one of those who preaches that gambling is for fun and not for making money that would have their funds spent on a wasted manner claiming to have fun.
Typically, if you really want to spend your fund playing games for funs they you should visit the game center where you can have some visual or physical games either Action-adventure games, Multiplayer online battle arena games, Third person shooter games, Platforming games, Adventure games, First person shooter games, Escape room games and Fighting games Etc andi get if you looses you would feel lot of funs that would encourage you to sit up for the next tournaments. You can even Walk in the game center with friends, family or relatives to catch this funs together. I have read about a thread that discussed that gambling in front of your kids is not good but here you can take a chance of challenging with these kids when. You  stick to game for funs. I think more of funs are derived from this system better than going to the casinos and other gambling boards.
The attributes of gambling for fun is just to encourage and advices gamblers not to stake with what is not affordable to lost on the for just funs while gambling which indirectly they are all chasing after profits.

People that wants to gamble for financial gain may lose and later blame themselves. These kind of people need to be wise and also use just small amount of money to gamble. That makes people that says gambling for fun and not ways of looking for money to be very correct. For social interaction, it will be common among land based gamblers. Most people today are not land based gamblers but online gamblers and looking for money gamblers will be more than those looking for social interaction. But irrespective of any, we should go the way of not wasting money on gambling.

Simply put, I think gambling for fun as a way to gamble that it doesn't affect or have negative impact in your life in all ramifications (financially and health).

Gambling for fun doesn't mean you wouldn't like winning money or you will be fine losing money but it has to do with you gambling within the ambit  of responsible gambling.

  Why people are constantly admonished to gamble for fun especially for the newbie gamblers it is to remind them that gambling isn't a means to financial freedom and  failing to heed to that ideal perception of gambling for fun then addiction becomes inevitable towards such gambler. And we all know what addiction can cause to it's victim.

I think the right approach is to this issue is that every gambler should know that they money they bring into a gambling establishment, while real money, is something that could be lost. If you come in a casino with 100$ and intend to wager those, you could lose 100% of the capital with just a single wager. So the "just play for fun" attitude is actually quite realistic. But of course it's also up to interpretation.

For instance, if you have 1 hour to kill, you might as well spend it gambling. However, if you come in with all your money you made in a month, you could also very well lose it within that one hour. There's other principles that have to be followed here also. If you have any amount of money you can comfortably put aside and some of that to spend on yourself, only of that should be ever entering into a gambling establishment. So if you adjust your bet value, you could sit for an entire hour without losing everything immediately.

All in all, I think the "just play for fun" mindset is something good to share as a catchall because people need to understand that the odds are against them in winning. But for sure other principles should be applied to. Surely being interested in the amounts you play with increases enjoyment especially if you win, but you shouldn't play with what you can't afford to lose. So fun remains the primary "non problematic" indicator of gambling for me still.

I doubt socializing and competing are main motive anymore for gambling esports that online casino are already popular now. It’s more own lquick gain” objective rather than socializing because most gambler nowadays doesn’t frequently use chats to interact when login in the casino.


I like this interpretation of having fun. We sometimes spend our money to get fun/entertainment. Same as gambling, we are paying for the chance to win money through taking risk which gives the entertainment part. People that missing the whole point of entertainment are frequently those focus on gains alone and forgot to cherish the games when they are taking risk.

I play video games for fun and I spent money on skins and points, now that we have play to earn game, it's even making more sense to spend money to get more fun, whether you like it or not, money is a part why we gamble, but the fear of losing your Mr cool guy in the real world is why we want to be responsible in gambling, that's not too much to ask for.

Those who risk a lot on gambling are doing it to make money only, those who aren't too concern about making money spend their time to add fun deriving from the games they play, in return they use small amount of money all the time.

Also those who responsible gamblers are not asking much from gambling, they want to have good time and also make few money if possible, such people will never get intoxicated by gambling.

Depend on your jobs, learn trading, invest your money in good assets and hope for the best, be a gambler who don't want his life dream fulfilled by gambling, it could still happen but don't depend on it from gambling, it's too unrealistic.

The idea behind gambling is rooted in our desire for risk, reward , and entertainment. Some people engage in gambling not just for making money but also for the thrill of taking chances and social interactions. As gambling it’s not just limited to staking bets as we call it. Some gamble by playing poker, whot and Luda etc because it provides opportunity for socializing and competitions. While others are motivated to gamble for just the financial gain

It means using gambling to make money is irresponsible gambling habit for the rich not to become poor
It also means gambling should not be taking your time that supposed to be used for important things
It means people should not be addicted to gambling
It means gambling can be good but if gambling responsibly
It means if gambling is taking money from you than expected, quit gambling as you are not gambling for fun and the later outcome can be bad.

You can by beer to have fun and not seeing it as a waste of money. You can give a friend little amount of money in a way he may want to give you back but you will not collect it as you see it as small amount, telling him it is a small amount of money. Only such money like that, that are small in amount set aside should only be used for gambling. That is the meaning. The fun you see there does not necessary mean fun. Just like an ideom.
