Logically yes I can agree with the idea that gambling is a shortcut to poverty, but of course for the problem of the impact that can be caused by gambling it also depends on how you treat gambling, simply if you do not know and understand about the concept of gambling then it is clear that you will most likely fall into the wrong approach to gambling which will make it easier for you to experience various bad impacts.

So for the problem of whether gambling can have a bad impact or not, it actually depends on how you treat the activity, not everyone ends up in poverty just because they are involved in gambling and usually they are gamblers who understand the concept of gambling and realize that gambling is a risky activity so they walk with great caution.

That's what I usually tell most folks that gambling is all about the way you approach it . If you approach it responsibly your losses would be minimise, because such individual wouldn't go beyond his budget rather stick to it .

But those that are gambling recklessly will always endup ruining themselves because of their approach to gambling, most of them usually go beyond their budgets, using money they can't risk to gamble, putting themselves in debt all in the name of trying to get rich quick through gambling.

Of course, because everything that is done is based on balance, then of course it will not have too much of a bad impact on us even though it is basically a risky activity, remember that there is absolutely no coercion or even threats from any party including casinos that tell us to continue gambling or tell us to bet large amounts, meaning you can balance everything according to your abilities, and if it turns out that an activity has a bad impact on you, then it is clear that the one who should actually be blamed is yourself who is wrong in treating the activity.

But the fact is that there are indeed many gamblers who misunderstand what and how gambling really is, many of them are wrong in responding to gambling so of course this ignorance or misunderstanding will lead them to the wrong approach that makes them trapped in a slump.

While you are not wrong on your assessment that those that gamble suffer more losses than wins when they gamble and that only a minority of people can claim to have gained something out of it, I disagree with you on several points, we do not need governments trying to control our spending, as if you allow this then it would not be long until they try to control every single purchase that you do, also you are mistaken on thinking that gambling is the one thing that made those people broke, I can assure you that even if gambling was completely eradicated, those people would have lost their money doing something else, since it is their mentality and their lack of knowledge what it is at fault here.

Agreed, I don't think governments shoukd be able to tell you what you can and can't spend your money on.  You aremt hurting anybody and if you end up broke it's not because of gambling it's because of bad habits.  Most likely for these same people if it's not gambling then it will just be another vice possibly one that is more dangerous that will be the downfall of those people.  If you let governments tell you no for that then what next will they tell ypu, ypu can't do because "it's bad"

Basically, the management and expenditure of each person is the business of each individual, there is no involvement of other parties including the government except for your own family members such as your wife/husband who lives in the same house with you. Although the government cares about its people, it does not mean that they will take care of or manage and control every expense of yours, because the name of the expenditure is entirely the right of private individuals, and if you ask a few questions to government officials, maybe they will only give some suggestions. On the other hand, I quite agree with your opinion that even though someone is not involved in gambling, but when they are unable to manage their finances properly and have bad habits in their lives that lead to wasteful spending of money, of course they can also lose a lot of money in a short period of time for various other things.

Rich people who gamble who usually tend to do it for fun does not mean that they do not have the desire to be able to get a big win, I am sure that even though their goal is to have fun but in their minds and hearts they still have the desire to get a big win or maybe be successful in gambling, but even though they are rich people who bet with large amounts it cannot make them sure to get a big win or be successful in gambling, because luck is unknown. Addiction is something that definitely happens to those who gamble excessively, for example those who cannot control themselves when gambling such as when their bet ends in defeat, this is what makes them fall deeper into gambling or makes them addicted, it is very unfortunate that this happens but this is a consequence of their wrong actions.
No matter how rich they are, when they are in a space that can open up opportunities for them to win, it will make them hope to win. Rich people also still need money, I mean they still want to increase their wealth. Even though they come to have fun, they will also be very happy when they get a big win from gambling. But don't rich people have to have limits when gambling? Of course not. They also have to have limits when gambling, otherwise they will also quickly become bankrupt. The risk in gambling is very high, so if we don't apply a limit then it will make us lose a large amount too. And if it is done repeatedly, then our money will also run out.

Most of those who keep chasing for luck have that sentiment for sure, they are not just aiming to have some fun but they are aiming to change their lifestyle, hoping that in a single luck that may given to them they'll be able to hit the jackpot and have that decent amount of money that will bring them to achieved their financial goals.

Though, most of those who thinks that way already suffer from a huge amount of loses some may already ends up losing everything but that kind of hope there's some who'll be lucky enough to achieved and fulfill their dreams.
People nowadays think they can achieve their dreams and change their lifestyle in a short timeframe, like few months or a year through gambling. That is what many social influencers are telling them to be possible to happen. And since the online betting phenomenon is relatively new for people in general, they truly believe it's possible, so they go for it with all their funds, including money they should be using for daily expenses and emergencies.

Not only traditional casino's games are hyped right now, but also sports betting. There is huge money going into it, and main media channels fail to explain people how gambling works in a technical way. The media just keep telling them to stop gambling because it's risky and many have already lost big money, so they want to push a restrictive and censorship agenda against betting, but they don't really educate the audience about gambling.

Since the media has low credibility these days, people don't even listen to it... In the end, it's like everyone is talking simultaneously, and nobody listens to each other. That is the chaotic society we have nowadays entering in a stage of social convulsion.

Because of the number of streamers right there, they are saying can win a large amount of money with less kind of risk which is too much too good to be true if you are kind of newbie in crypto and gambling you will get easily caught with their statement that you can earn a large amount money while enjoying in playing gambling, streamers do often wash their hands after they promote the casino if the player get too much addicted because they keep reading they are just promoting and still on the players action if they will get addicted. Anything we do house has still the edge and only small percentage of people getting a large amount of money in playing gambling if you see slot games as your source of income I guess far from it unlike doing in a table top games, still on a skill base game.

I guess even those rich gamblers still aim to hit big in gambling and multiply their money, so most especially for the poor ones as that would mean life changing opportunity for them to live a good and comfortable life.

However, falling into gambling addiction that leaves you become penniless and homeless is another story. For me, that's more on of your choice, since you dare to gamble more than what you have.

Who doesn't want to win? That's huge opportunity to take and every efforts we do will totally paid off. But that doesn't mean rich people always aim to get good returns from gambling since for sure that they would never get a passive gains from this.

Usually what they aim is for fun and winning maybe is just a bonus for some rich gamblers. But we cannot take out the fact that huge gains earned by someone inspire other poor people. Since lots of people aim to escape from poverty and think about gambling is another way to make it happen. To bad that majorities expectation fall and instead of making their dreams come true they fall into more miserable situation.

Of course, rich people didn't become rich because they are not that competitive, for sure when they started they have a lot of competition whether it's a high paying job or when they start their business. And so when they gambled, like Dana White, who we have a thread, he wanted to get back in those casinos that he lost money with.

So yeah, they could have been entertained by staying in the hotels and having drinks, but at the end of the day, they are losing money so they will have to get it back from the casinos and even target to win. The thing is that they are also wise with their money, so I doubt that they will be losing big that they will be out of business.

There is a difference here though, rich people want to win too but they are also risking only what they can afford to lose, rich people will have more positive result in gambling too, for example, I can wager $1 in slot and make $1.5, I can easily feel like how much is $0.5? That's too small to walk away with but if a rich person wager $1000 and make $1500, they can walk away with $500, though the risk looks high but don't forget, to them this is what they can afford to lose.

One thing is certain with gambling, you will have rest of mind if your income is coming from a sure source, even if you lose money in gambling you can always get back on your feet, rich people don't have this crazy problem of losing everything and going broke, it is always those who are in work to progress stage that ends up running themselves.

Although rich people who want to hit big in gambling and multiply their money, they aware that they must really control themselves so they will not lose too much. That can affect to their wealthy and they will not realize what is happen to them.
They know that gambling is not a short cut to solve poverty so they will adjust how much money they can use to gambling and use the other money to create new business that can produce them money. Rich people playing gambling because they want to have fun and maybe some of them discuss to their business partner in the gambling table because they think that sometime they have a new idea while they are playing gambling.
When people can not think about what is the worst thing that they can get from gambling, they will still playing gambling without thinking much about anything. They have a strong intention to win much money by playing gambling but they can not see the reality that can happen to them.

Infact gambling has made many to go broke and live in poverty many has lost their life savings and even pension in gambling, I am of the view that gambling should be controlled by the government of each country and that there should be a maximum amount of money one should use in gambling.
Poverty is a choice and I won't say gambling is the main reason but one of the factors. Infact the mindset placed when playing this games are crucial because I would definitely know when to back out when I have some loss or win unless am too addicted to it.There was a time I wanted to learn from a friend after he had a breakthrough win but he did not want to teach but advised me by telling me the demerit. He said I should use the money to invest or do something better.

Well, maybe it’s a choice, but we could say some people are just forced into it because they feel they have no other option but to accept their situation. That’s why others take their chances with gambling, thinking it’s a quicker way to improve their lives if they win, rather than working day after day for a paycheck that barely covers anything. I guess you might feel the same if you ever lose hope.

I could be wrong in my view, but from what I’ve seen, most gamblers are in it to change their lives, not just for fun.

With gambling gaining awareness each day and the population of those gambling increasing it's calls for concern as many has fallen victim to this money sucking game that makes people not to save their money but loss it.
But let's take a critical look at this very sensitive matter called gambling has anyone really made it from gambling, is gambling worth it and if really anyone has made it through gambling can he/she proudly tell the younger ones that gambling is what going into.

Yes, it is safer like that, but from what we have seen that not a few people who are contrary to such principles, and that is sad that they become poor due to their own actions and ignorance in gambling, this might be I can says it is natural for the because of the many people who do gambling acting according to their emotional, their desires, thoughts and needs, so that various kinds of people who are in gambling have differences in looking at gambling itself, there are people who are increasingly confident when he gets victory and think he can be great Even though he was only lucky on one opportunity who ultimately used all his wealth to bet there

When it comes to gambling, self control is never an easy one . especially when one have the mindset of getting rich through gambling, sometimes you can tell yourself that this is my budget of what I can risk am not going beyond that , but after some losses you may lose it and go beyond that budget because you couldn't control yourself or your emotions.

Even when you are winning you would get to point where you will want more despite the wins you have made in that gambling section, and with just one mistake you may endup losing it all because you don't know when to stop, but having good self-control one can easily stop after some wins even after losing and call it a Day.

What you say is true and I have experienced it too, that sometimes we are out of control when we gamble, but having a gambling budget projection is one step to prevent you from doing excessive things from what has been set for your gambling, and all of them will return to yourself, there is a better gambling budget restriction than nothing that will even kill you faster, because here the most difficult is the consistency of the discipline that you do in the principle of your gambling to be able to gamble responsibly, indeed not It will be easy, if it's easy I think everything will be.

From the of gambling will know that is not a way a person can rely on, because i can say the gambling is only for those that has money already is not for the poorly that are suffering to survive with life and any poorly that willing to introduces his self into gambling just fell to end his career in achieve nothing. why i said stated that a moment a person the start gambling for him to be save amount of money a difficult; and that's is for us we should not allow the gambling to addicted to our body system.

Gambling has lead a lot of peoples live  broke and still some will never give to leave gambling alone, one thing about some is that instead that they being gamble and they never win even is not for them leave and fine any other thing to do; but they will not that's why the number of poverty are increasing every day.
Poor people that are struggling to fulfill their needs can choose to gamble instead of use the money to buy foods, even it sounds stupid, but it's actually happened in real life. If they lose, they will ask money or foods from other people, they also dare to steal some valuable thing to sell it for money.

No, actually some of them do win, that's why they continue to gambling, but the ratio of losing is higher than winning.

People who gamble and invest in bitcoin do not want the government to control and tax them, but they always want the government to protect them if they get into trouble. is this fair?
If investors don't like government intervention in bitcoin investing or gambling then how do they demand protection from governments? I think this is completely unfair. From one point of view this claim is absurd because those investors are not helping the government in any way but rather trying to keep themselves free from government interference. But if we judge from another point of view it is that the government takes the responsibility to see the good and the bad of the people of their country. If there is any chaos in any place then the government must take responsibility to restore order there. All in all everything should be based on fairness.
