Looks like Paypal is back as a payment method. Are we not doing the Paypal refund thing? Did I miss something?

But, still, 2800W GAW? We're not mining Bitcoins here!

Scale out or scale up. Smiley  I'd rather a rack of Widows than a BigGun personally, but for folks who have the power availability having a single unit to monitor is much easier than a group.

yeah running 30 five chip  gridseed units   is a lot harder then it sounds.

just like running 150 antminer usb sticks  is harder then 2  antminer s-1's

Oh, ok, my bad in that case.

I read it as 1 week hosting fee.

Week 1 Fury hosted is $219.95

Holy crap! How are you justifying these figures GAW? I pay $225 for a whole month of hosting an A2 90!

Before the fan-boys jump all over me and complain that I'm saying negative things about their favourite vendor, stop for a moment will you and actually think about what numbers you are so over the moon about.

I'm a customer/investor/mug for a number of pre-order and available miners from a number of different suppliers, I'd like to be able to widen that investment net, but I am finding GAW's figures to be shockingly bad. I'd just like to know if they're going to address this or, to be honest, they'd just like to continue as they are and for people like me to stop mentioning the war(machine).

It almost sounds like your thinking it costs 219 for a week 1 is the cost of hosting or something.  Don't misunderstand what that is before you comment.

I hope you undestand and will keep your word about crediting ealier buyers instead of following stinky "chinese business model"

What is 'stinky' about trading with the Chinese? GAW trade with them and plenty of buyers of A2's trade with them.

I'm increasingly concerned about the degree of xenophobia and outright racism that is casually thrown about in trade threads. Much of it appears to come from those flag-waving 'patriots' for whom anything outside of their national border is treated as some foreign third-world nation that just needs to 'be like them'.

In my experience with dealing with the Chinese I have found them to be trustworthy and reasonable. They might not have the 'western' gloss and finish to their shop-front that you are used to, but if you wanted to be scrypt mining on 28nm ASICS before anyone else had even shipped, they were delivering in spades.

If you read what was written you would see you answered your own question.

Until the new Zeus stuff hits the public and we can do a proper comparison it's tough to say what is "best".  There's also things like rejects, error rate, etc., that can make a small power difference negligible.

Yes I agree.  So far the only long term good watt per hash info is on gridseeds.

I also have not seen a lot to suggest that the new gear is a lot better.

So if I do 10mh with 290 watts with gridseeds clocked to 850freq.   With very little rejects  99% or better good.

And I do this.  with my 5 chip gridseeds

I need to do  10mh 200watts with the new gear and 99%  or better good hash rate.

So far there has been not a lot of info to show if this is the case.     Like you say time will tell.

If may turn out that gridseeds are still viable if the price is good.

for those that can get them for 60, it's still a very good option, and a present one !

I have been buying sets of 2 for 120.   I am  very happy to do so.

i want some of that but dont qualify for that pricing Sad

Send me a pm   I may be able to help you with a few.

Did Gaw Miners stop selling the Blades?

Ide like to know this too.  I emailed them but they never responded.

Not at the moment. Gridseed it at my door, literally, every day for us to start buying again.

But I will not, until they honor their commitment to reimburse our customers.

It stinks, but if someone does not make a stand, they will keep doing it

Have to say it's a shame they are being dicks about it as I thought the blade was a good product, but it's good to see someone taking a stand against their shitty business practices.

It is a great product, and at the time price was decent, because of no competitor. This mining hobby is getting to expensive for me. Loss several $K in GPU and now more on Blades. Could of made a trip to Vegas and play one hand of Black Jack Smiley

I have to say I love GAW. our relationship might have gotten off to a rocky start but between their Customer Care reps and their CEO Josh i am a very happy camper. i currently own 2 blades and they are hashing away with no issues and just as advertised. i do have one complaint about GAW and that is that i don't have enough money to buy more hardware. Keep up the great work Josh.

P.S. Im the current Queue Coordinator at my call center, if your looking for hardworking and call center manager i would love to send you out my resume.

Going dark for a while. Heading to Alaska then on to Iceland for Project Prime Smiley

So hosting is back, but can you explain something?

Week 1 Fury unhosted is $169.95

Week 1 Fury hosted is $219.95

That's $50 more for hosting.  But on your page you also say there is a 2.5% fee for hosting.  So you're charging an extra $50 as well as taking fees?  Did updates cross one another or something in regards to the site pricing and terms for hosting?  Doing the math @ $0.10/kWh means it'll cost less than $15 to host a Fury for the year power-wise, exact numbers being $14.60, whereas the 2.5% fee will collect $14.40 (using current LTC diff + pricing for everything).  So for hosting the price is really, over the course of one year, $219.95 + the 2.5% fee, so $234.35.

Is that right?  Since Josh is heading to the land of the elves can someone else at GAW comment on this?

I asked the same question.
If you already pay a fee of 2.5% for hosting, there's no reason for price difference.

+3

Same Here.

Hi, the price is what it is to cover our cost. First, we would need to charge about 8% to cover our back haul, power, staff, and building to cover out cost. Second, we also have to add a controller to each of these, which also have cost.

Best case, we break even on the cost they are now. Our board did not want to offer them as hosted, but I like the idea of offering a small hosted product for folks that don't have much money to spend.

Yeah, we got it, but the essence of the problem is a fact there is a new lower price price for hosted miners BEFORE they even start to work. I hope you undestand and will keep your word about crediting ealier buyers instead of following stinky "chinese business model"

G-blade review + review of GAWminers cloud scrypt hosting by me - http://fuk.io/gridseed-g-blade-vs-gawminers-cloud-hosting-comparision-and-review/

Oh dear. Everyone's a journalist now, even those who would fail a 3rd grade spelling test (and don't know what the squiggly red line means). Lack of clue about the subject apparently is a prerequisite too.

Putting my nice guy hat on, maybe English isn't his first language? Smiley

English is not my first language either Smiley

There are spell/grammar checkers as well as old-school proofreading, no excuse to slaughter the language like that.

When the most popular site (CoinDesk) even fails quality standards, you know there's a big problem. It's a bit depressing when you can't even read through their articles without cringing due to the complete lack of editing (things like misusing "your" should never live, nor should all the run-ons and other problems that are prevalent there).
