The avg decrease in zen pool payouts when you avg it out over a few weeks is .07% per day. This is to be expected. They never claimed you would make a ton of money forever. We still have a long ways before it starts to lose money.

It's not you. Rates are creeping down for Zenpool, probably to emulate the performance of a real pool.
If this continues, I bet we're going to see more and more people asking for refounds.

Also, keep in mind that the amount of BTC being withdrawn in service fees is going to be higher since the price of Bitcoin is lower.

4 BTC in the account gives you about 1200 HP a day and with every 16 days a 10 Gh/s Genesis Hashlet. Based on the current BTC rate of course.
When you'd sell directly you'd earn 2 x 8 USD a month by having 4 BTC there. If you keep the hashlets for a while you'll also rake in some BTC dust over the days.
You just gave me an idea, but I don't know if I want to deposit 20 btc
A better idea would be to deposit 100 million BTC. If my math is correct this would double the BTC network hashrate and would open certain interesting possibilities.
On a second thought, there might be some issues with this plan.

I've deposited some BTC in ZEN. It's been in for longer than 24 hours. No hashpoints earned. Should I bother contacting GAW about this? I think I'll just put my funds somewhere else if I just want to gain some interest on them while they sit. I've heard bitfinex is good and reliable for that. What do you guys think?

Anyway, if you want daily interest, then sign up for Bitfinex and lend USD. Link in my sig (that is a referral). You get better rates than .03--almost 10 times better right now. (Maybe GAW should just use their depositing BTC to lend on Bitfinex ;p )
Actually I pulled my USD out of Bitfinex until this settles down a bit, call me paranoid but those rates are just too crazy
Everyone seems to be convinced that BTC can only go up from here. Which is likely true but not something I'd bet a lot of money on.
As for GAW shorting BTC or otherwise betting on BTC exchange rate, this is not a very sustainable source of income, is it? They might as well try their luck on PD and make us all rich.

best advice, only stick in what your willing to write off...not saying anything good or bad...it just covers your butt either way

Had 3 BTC before but chickened out with an overload of FUD here and pulled it. I've got 4 BTC in it now and fingers crossed they don't drop dead just yet. Thinking about collecting the next Genesis hashlet and then taking it out again. Have considered waiting for a PrimeHashlet but that's just too long of a wait for me atm.
