Bayer Leverkusen would be looking forward to maintain their 100% start to the new year in the Bundesliga when they play host to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday. After a disastrous start to the season that led to the dismissal of Gerardo Seoane, the Black and Reds have found their form under new coach Xabi Alonso. A run of five wins in the league has left the hosts just seven points off the final European spot, but they will face a tougher test this weekend against a Dortmund side they have lost to three times in their last four meetings, As far as Borussia Dortmund are concerned, they have also started the new year perfectly well taking six points from two games, that's to say that Sunday's game would be a very exciting one. Despite the two wins, Edin Terzić's side are still five points off the top of the table, meaning they need a win this weekend to get back into the race for the Bundesliga title. Considering the current form of the home team and the fact that they haven't lost their last six league matches at this stadium, it wouldn't be a surprise if they win Dortmund, who have struggled away from home this season. But football as i define it to be an unforseen circumstance can be proven otherwise, for me the best preferable option in this game is both teams to score.

Match between karlseuher vs paderborn, Karlsruher matches at the home stadium this season are high scoring. They have a 16:17 goal difference in nine matches at the home stadium this season. Six of those nine games went over 2.5 goals. Paderborn are playing well this season. They are seven points behind the promotion playoff, so maybe the more realistic is to stay mid table this season. During January, Paderborn had four friendly matches two wins, one draw, and one loss .In the last game, they played 1-1 against Arminia Bielefeld. Most Paderborn matches away from home were high scoring. Six of eight road games went over 2.5 goals. Paderborn has won this their opponent this season at home which ended 5-0 against this opponent. So let's expect Over 2.5 goals for this tie.

Pederborn started the season well. But they lost the truck. And I forget the last time I saw this team win. Pederborn has lost consecutively in the last four matches. Although Pederborn will face Karlsruher team in the next match, I am not sure if Pederborn will win this match. Their team performance is very poor. Karlsruher is not a strong team. If Pederborn can perform a bit better then maybe after a long time we will see a Pederborn team win.

Both your analysis is really good. But I will not bet the first games yet. After the long break many clubs will still have difficulties finding their rhythm again. There will probably be a lot of goals, just like in Bundesliga 1. Only after 3 match days most clubs have their rhythm again and then we will see how the table looks. In any case I am happy that Bundesliga 2 starts again.

there will be 2 trial days in the doping case of Vuskovic. then we will know how long the ban will last. the hearings are on 3 and 9 February in Frankfurt.
will it be 2, 3 or even 4 years ban? no one knows for sure. and today I read that Jonny Kittel is leaving for the desert.
Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are his favourites. there he will still get good money and won't have the pressure to perform like in the Bundesliga.
and the hsv will save his salary. because Kittel hasn't shown a good game yet this season. a change is the best option for Kittel.

It looks like the end of the season will see Darmstadt top the table and qualify for the Bundesliga. Second-placed Hamburger is just two points behind Darmstadt. But Darmstadt's performance is the most stable. They have lost just one match this season. And their defense is very strong. In every match they try their best to secure 1 point, and then try to win. Their match strategy is very good. And so I think they will be able to continue to perform consistently.

I think after the long winter break the teams have to show what they can do. Some teams will have used the long break much better than others. It is already shown with the teams in the Bundesliga 1. Some teams have not yet found their rhythm. And it will be the same with the teams in Bundesliga 2. Darmstadt and Hamburg definitely have a good chance of being promoted. But I do not see it as a sure thing yet.

It seems that Hamburger SV will sell Sonny Kittel. His contract runs until the end of this season. Actually, Kittel wanted to leave Hamburg last summer to Major League Soccer in the USA. It is not known why it did not work out in the end. Now it is the last chance for Hamburg to get money for him. Since he wants to leave for the second time probably only promotion will ensure that he will extended his contract.

Tim Leibold from Hamburg SV will probably move to the USA. he will get a good new contract with Sporting Kansas City.
he will get 2 million dollars for 3 years. it is less than CR7 in Saudi Arabia but better than we all get here with Bounty in three years.
Tim had a few good months at HSV until he got injured. after that he never got back to his good old form.
so it's good for him that he got another good contract and a bit more money for his later life without football.

2 million dollars for 3 seasons is not bad for a player coming out of the 2nd Bundesliga, now the biggest and perhaps the only problem he will face is that he is only 29 years old and has gone to play in a US league where he will not catch up great feats, for example if he was in a big club in europe, if he went to a big team in europe he would have a chance to play in the european champions league and would have a great chance of winning important things and naturally his market value would be very high with his trip to the usa and as if he had retired, anyway, at least he got a good contract as far as possible, if he stays in that team or in other teams in the usa then he will be able to live

Tim Leibold can easily live off the money there. i just think he didn't think he had much of a chance of finding a big,
good club here in europe that pays good money for less good performances. in addition, he's only an average player and not a superstar.
there he can comfortably pursue his hobby without stress and gets a lot of money for it:
you can't earn your money more comfortably than that ...so....everything was done right  Grin

not only the first bundesliga starts this weekend. the second bundesliga is also celebrating a comeback tomorrow. two games are already taking place tomorrow evening:

I hope you do not want to watch the games. If you do, I amafraid you willl be disappointed. The Bundesliga 2 games do not start this weekend. They start next weekend.  Wink Cheesy
But I can understand you. I would also prefer to start this weekend.

~snip

I see it exactly the same way as you do.
But it seems that the next discussion is already germinating. There will soon be a general meeting and some want to vote out the current president Marcell Jansen. He has said that he will go if more than 50% are in favour. So it seems that something bubbling up again.

today, wednesday, it was officially confirmed. Tim Walter has extended his contract with Hamburger SV until 2024.
i hope that with Tim Walter, HSV will finally be promoted to the first Bundesliga again this year.

It was about time. In recent weeks, the club has always said that he would extend his contract and that only minor details still needed to be clarified. But sometimes there are problems and the contract is not extended.
So should Hamburger SV be promoted Tim Walter will be in the 1st Bundesliga at least for a few games as acoach. I think many would treat him that.

Well, I am glad that many good things are happening to the team, honestly they needed good news, it is also necessary to know that now the team needs a lot of good players, because the most likely thing is that if they go up to the Bundesliga, the work they have been doing is quite remarkable, and for now what I can say is that after the stormy time that they have been through, after the repeal cases and everything that has to do with it, it is necessarily good news, the fact is that You will be able to see A good Budndesliga season, they have fought for that, they have been playing it to be able to do things well.

that's already a super performance by the team. but it won't be easy for kaiserslautern on saturday. they have to play hannover 96.
and the stadium in hannover will be full  Wink ......but there will be many many red devils there

yesterday Katterbach from Cologne. i don't know either player. i don't think they will strengthen the team in the next few months.

I do not know them either. I had not noticed that at all. He was at FC Basel before. He was also on loan there. Hamburger SV definitely needed to strengthen their defence.
Nice fact: Hamburger SV is in training camp in Spain right now. FC Basel was also just around the corner. When FC Basel left, Katterbach did not go with them but directly to the training camp from Hamburger SV.

Is there a problem experienced by Mario Vuskovic whether it's a sanction, injury or something else.

Oh. It seems like you did have not notice this case. During a regular doping control in September they have found EPO in his blood. He was then taken out of the squad. the B sample was opened in December and it was also positive. Now they are waiting to see when the trial will take place. He will probably be banned for 4 years. That is the standard penalty.

yes. this is a very sad story. his career is over before it really began. but every person is also responsible for himself. and Vuscovic will also lose a few million in salary in the next few years. i hope hsv gets a good replacement for Vusco. two new players are already known:
Francisco Montero from Istanbul and yesterday Katterbach from Cologne. i don't know either player. i don't think they will strengthen the team in the next few months.

Hamburger SV has its first new arrival. Francisco Montero. He comes from Besiktas Istanbul and will stay until the end of the season. He is a replacement for Vuskovic. There is an option to buy him afterwards. Unfortunately, he has only played 4 times so far for Istanbul this season. It remains to be seen whether he can replace Vuskovic and ensure that Hamburger SV does not get any goals.

Is there a problem experienced by Mario Vuskovic whether it's a sanction, injury or something else. Because I think Mario Vuskovic is still okay to play in the main Hamburger SV squad but yes, in the last few matches Mario Vuskovic was not included in the Hamburg SV squad, is that the reason.
So I was curious what problems Mario Vuskovic was having, so that Hamburger SV recruited Francisco Montero to replace Mario Vuskovic. Meanwhile, both of them are young players and don't have much experience or maybe they will become main and reserve players, so Hamburger SV has defenders with the same quality when rotating.
