Heidenheim  vs  Darmstadt

I am looking forward to the Darmstadt vs Heidenheim match. The match is expected to be very competitive. Darmstadt will not want to lose the top spot in the table. They are only 4 points behind second-placed Hamburgers in the table. Heidenheim on the other hand is very strong in home matches. Heidenheim have won their last two home matches against Darmstadt. And Heidenheim has been in good form this season. And so it looks like it will be very difficult for Darmstadt to win today's away match. But my favorite in this match is Darmstadt.

It has been great match so far in the German bundesliga today in the encounter between Brusia Dortmund and Rb Leipzig, I will say that this match is crucial because of how important it is to both teams but when I consider the two team form I will give it to the host team which is Brusia Dormund because they have performed very well this season and also consistent in all round both in ball control in other words ball possession, the away team is also good but we can't compare their recent form with that of the host team.
Dortmund have played well and won the match 2-1. The goals came at the 21st and 39th minute. Leipzig had the best in terms of pass accuracy, ball possession and shots on target. However they weren't able to turn those to be goals until the 74th minute.

With the win Dortmund makes a seven points lead on the points table. With this Dortmund makes its ten wins in a row. From the beginning of the match Leipzig scared the Dortmund with their shots. Possibly it is their bad luck this time.

I don't know but for me such moves where a sports director is basically firing his coach in order to become the coach himself always has a kind of a bitter taste to me. Even though on paper the director of sports has obviously more power i still think that the position of coach is way more attractive to most people because as a coach you are way more in the spotlight of the media. Maybe it is different in this case because Dieter Hecking already had several stations as head coach and i doubt that he just wanted to be coach to get some attention again as i don't think that he even wants to have attention anymore. So far the change was successful as FCN finally have won a game again.

I do not see that as a problem. I think the sports director is even taking a very big risk. Because if it does not work with him either, then he will also be questioned. If he only works as a coach for a few match days, that would be okay. But if he works as a coach until the end of the season, like Hecking, then he is also completely responsible.

I did not expect this decision. But if Dieter Hecking has the confidence to coach again and gets the team to avoid relegation? Why not? It is worth a try.
But I do not suspect that the dismissal of Markus Weinzierl was planned. Perhaps Hecking was also questioned from the board members and he had to take on the entire responsibility.

If one look at Darmstadt's performance over the whole season, one cannot doubt that Darmstadt will be promoted. They lost their first match in the Bundesliga against Regensburg with 0:2. Since then, they have not lost a game. They will probably continue this remarkable series against Heidenheim. One could see in the game against Hamburg that they still remain calm even when they are behind with goals. Only Hamburg has that kind of calmness too. If everything stays the same both clubs will be promoted directly.

there are still 12 matchdays until the end of the season. 36 points are still to be awarded. darmstadt now has 49 points. how many points does darmstadt still need?
schalke had 65 points at the end of last season, before that bochum had 67 points and in 2019/2020 bielefeld had 68 points. all three teams have been promoted .
on matchday 22 all three clubs had fewer points in recent years. 41,42 and 44 points. normally, darmstadt should therefore be promoted 200% to the 1.bundesliga.

It is a fact that technology improves everything, it seems strange to me that in the 2nd Bundesliga they do not have it, I thought that in Europe in all leagues they had technology, because of everything that is happening in fútbol it is imperative that they show it with this, more so in a league where in the end the matches are always very decisive, when there is this type of competition it is needed, in addition the players are used to using technology in the Bundesliga and not a single detail escapes the players referees.

I concur with you completely here. What would tennis be without the eagle eye today? Technology is a must for the sake of fairness. Even when there is a lot of discussion about the VAR or whether it was one millimeter offside or not, it still prevents easy mistakes from happening. When the whole world could see that there was a two meters offside and the referee failed to see it. That is a thing of the past and that is good. There are still hard decisions when it comes to penalties, but when we want to see games on the best level possible, technology is indispensable.

There was a game between Darmstadt and Erzgebirge Aue in 2018 and Aue was 16th in the table. They needed a single point to stay in the 2. Bundesliga. On the last game day in the 86th minute Darmstadt scored a goal. Aue needed to score and they did in the last moment, but the referee didn't see the ball crossed the line. Aue ended up in relegation games.

The funny part about it is that Aue was the biggest opponent of goal line technology. They were harshly against it when the 2. Bundesliga had to decide whether to adopt it or not. They then argued that it must be a revenge scam from the Bundesliga in general, which is absurd of course. It went so far that the city council of Aue pressed charges against referee Storks for game manipulation! Cheesy

Yes technology is a must and goal line technology is so important. You can't blame a referee when it comes down to a centimeter or even several centimeters. Sometimes these situations happen at such a speed and the referee is forced to have his eyes everywhere.

It is crystal clear that Darmstadt will be going in the Bundesliga next season,I was just giving a quick look to the stats at the standings from Flashscore and they have only lost one game in this season, that pretty much sums it up for me.I don't think though that they will be staying for long in the Bundesliga as we have seen them before anytime they have been promoted they have been again relegated after a couple of years,so in this context Darmstadt looks like not a team with stable finances to afford staying and competing for long in the Bundesliga.

i also saw that yesterday and how here the referee can not decide on the goal for darmstadt is a mystery to me...
no one can see with the naked eye that the ball was still on the line... a few years ago this would have been a valid goal 10 times in 10 games and there would have been no discussion...

just my 2 satoshis
They need goal line technology like the other leagues have.

I also thought that this technique has been around for a long time in Bundesliga 2. But what about the VAR? He must have been watching the scene. And since he did not say anything it was probably clear. At least for him.
In the end Hamburg did everything right with the draw. It is always more difficult to play away. The important thing is that they keep place 2 and do not slip to place 3.

Hannover, one of the teams that had the most to win, could not win, and this was something that could have happened but Kaiserslautern was much superior, I don't know, but these teams from the 2nd Bundesliga have sparked a lot of speculation
Hannover and Kaiserslautern were also candidates for promotion at the beginning of the season. But that are no longer looking so good for Hannover. But Kaiserslautern is not far away. They are one point away from place 3. If Hamburger SV will win against Heidenheim and Kaiserslautern also win against St. Pauli then they are already at place 3.

Darmstadt and Hamburger are the most likely to top the table. Because other than these two teams, no other team is able to play consistently well. The performances of teams like Hannover and Kaiserslautern are not stable. Hannover have dropped points in their last few matches and is currently seventh in the table. And so Darmstadt is my favorite to win the title this season. Because Darmstadt has lost only one match this season.
It is a fact, DARMSTADT has proven to be worthy of going to the Bundesliga, they also have a good level, it could be said that the Bundesliga is waiting only for the best, with the results they have shown is something impressive, there is a lot of competition currently, and without going too far, the fact that Bayern have won a game in the UCL against PSG and in the Bundesliga they are in danger of losing first place means that the level of football is very high, so Darmstadt has to see what will face soon, the same as HSV.

They need goal line technology like the other leagues have. The Premier League has goal line technology which alerts a watch on the referees arm if the 2nd Bundesliga had this technology we would not get mistakes like yesterday. I do not think it is expensive to run that system and it could be funded by the Bundesliga to build the technology in every stadium. Goal line technology was in the world cup to and I think it is a perfect system and gives instant feedback.

yes. the referee yesterday had an eagle eye . he should have also whistled in 1966 then we would have already been 5 x world champion

but today there was also a small sensation. magdeburg has won in hannover with 2:1. there were certainly 10k fans from magdeburg in hannover.
a great atmosphere in the stadium .st. pauli won against rostock with 1:0 and bielefeld lost 0:1 against heidenheim.

it will be an exciting match on saturday evening.
This scene is still a big topic of conversation. Was the ball in the goal, or was it not? In the second Bundesliga, there is no technique that could prove this as in the first Bundesliga. Maybe the ball were milimeters on the goal line and this is no goal for darmstadt. They  make the 1-1 later, if they had lost, that wouldnt fair. Darmstadt missed the entry in the first Bundesliga last season, but they should make it this year.

it will be an exciting match on saturday evening. however, darmstadt has some injured players who will be missing on the weekend.
i am curious whether these injuries will weaken the darmstadt team. however, i think darmstark is strong enough to compensate for these injuries.
if darmstadt should win the game this weekend, one can probably almost congratulate them on their promotion to the 1.bundesliga. if hamburg wins,
it will remain exciting at the top until may  Wink

or is there still a surprise team at the top?

Well, everything that Darmstadt has been through in the last few seasons would be like consecration to the effort, but neither can we leave HSV aside, who despite everything have shown great football, despite the fact that HSV went through that bitter moment with one of their players with drug problems, I admire their ability to get ahead, this team shows that they know very well what they want and that they are well focused, I go back and insist, St Pauli disappoints me, because it was a team that promised a lot But I don't know what happened to them, they lost their way, however I could say that it is time for them to work harder so that they have the option of reaching the Bundesliga.

The upcoming weekend is going to be the showdown between Darmstadt and Hamburg. If Darmstadt wins it would be a huge step towards the Bundesliga and for Hamburg it could mean that they get into trouble again if Heidenheim wins their game against Arminia Bielefeld. Chances are good for Heidenheim.

Yes, indeed. Heidenheim would then be only one point away from Hamburg. Then Hamburg could get nervous and lose their 2nd place. And Heidenheim has a high self-confidence after the 5 goals gala last weekend against Nürnberg. But Hamburg only has to look at themselves and not at the others. And even if Darmstadt wins and are 7 points away: A lot can still happen until matchday 34.

Looking at it from that point of view, which is very accurate, the one that is most in danger here is HSV, because it would be giving them a lot of opportunity to lose 2nd place, but it is difficult for them to beat a Darmstadt that is very inspired and that surely wants to Maintain your point advantage.

As always the best is yet to happen and the 2nd Bundesliga is going to give us more emotions, here the bad thing is that if one as a fan is excited about a team, that team that is in 1st or second place can be left out to ascend to the Bundesliga Although it may seem silly, St Pauli did that to him two seasons ago.

and who is the new coach in nürnberg ? Dieter Hecking . the good Dieter is now sports director and coach at the same time.
so he can make up for his own mistakes maybe again .

He might be the right guy at the right moment for this job. He has been a decent coach throughout his career. His biggest success were 2015 when he won the DFB-Pokal and the DFB-Supercup. He knows how to handle teams that are going through a crisis.
