I still a little pissed off because darmstadt isn't in 1st place. But it's only 1 point, too the top, that's nothing. They could have lead the League with 2 points and the upcoming games with extreme motivation, but now the situation is more difficult. In few Minutes Werder Bremen will play against SV Ingolstadt and Hamburger SV against SV Sandhausen. I hope that both are not successful, because I want to see darmstadt back on first place. There are now 5 teams that are only 1 point from the top of the league, now very exciting in the 2nd Bundesliga. And now Liveticker on: I hope i don't read goals for Bremen and Hamburg. Sorry to all fans.

The Werder Bremen versus Ingolstadt match has actually ended and the score is a 1-1 draw between the teams. Werder Bremen were actually the better team in this match and they had a lot more control over the match. Both the goals were scored in the second half of the match.

The hamburger SV vs SV Sandhausen match has also ended in a draw and the score is 1-1. In this case, SV Sandhausen scored an early goal only in 15 minutes of the match and after that, the whole match was dominated by hamburger SV. I think in the end SV Sandhausen were really lucky to come out with a point from that match.

I still a little pissed off because darmstadt isn't in 1st place.
Bremen and Hamburg were not able to win, both only got a draw against weaker teams from the bottom third of the ranking (Bremen vs Ingolstadt 1-1, Sandhausen vs Hamburg 1-1). This is the chance for St. Pauli and Darmstadt tomorrow to gain points relative to them. Who knows, maybe Darmstadt will be on the top tomorrow Wink

Schalke took it home. It's crazy how close the table is. Lots of contenders for 1. Bundesliga qualifiers. St. Pauli lost 10 out 15 points!! during the last 5 games and they are still in the first position. Man, they could have been through already if they performed decently. They next couple of games are relatively easy for them, or let's say seemingly easier. Werder Bremen got a 5 out 5 winning streak now. Got to count them in obviously.
Bremen won 8 out of the last 10 games
Hamburg and Darmstadt 6
St. Pauli and Schalke only 4
If this trend continues, then Bremen is in the Top3 safely. Hamburg again has the potential for sure, but their nerves were not the strongest towards the end of the season in the last years. Maybe they get their stuff together this year. I kind of think Schalke has a good chance against the competition. Darmstadt seems unstable after their 0-5 and St. Pauli is on outsider currently as they lost so many points in the last weeks. But as you said the situation is so close that it might look completely different in a couple of weeks.

Schalke is leading 1-0 26min into the game. Quotes are now 1.4/4.3/8.0
This is a very important game for both teams. A loss means losing contact for both of them to the top positions. Paderborn will definitely fight
Dresden vs Heidenheim still 0-0 with current quotes of 3.7/2.7/2.3. Dresden could live with a draw here, maybe we won't see many goals.

I would say the top six teams at the top of the points table have an equal chance of qualifying for the Bundesliga. My guess is that Paoli will rule the second Bundesliga this season. But lost points in 5 matches in a row. Now Pauli's qualification is uncertain. Now Werder Bremen is most likely to top the table, as they are playing consistently well now. Schalke is a good team but they are not regular.

actually the game is a very important one for sc paderborn, because in order to play for promotion they have to win today against schalke 04 in order not to completely lose contact with the first three places.
also heidenheim will have a hard time today - dynamo dresden will give everything to at least not lose the home game to get some important points against the relegation

Paderborn is not a weak opponent and even though Schalke dominate head to head, but at this moment I would doubt Schalke can get full points. Also, even though Schalke can win the match Schalke's position will still be the same as the top contenders like Hamburger and Darmstadt have opponents that seem easy for them on paper. But yes, after all, Schalke must still get 3 points in order to continue to overshadow the top 3 rankings, because of course Schalke still have that opportunity.

We start today with two important games. Schalke - Paderborn and Dresden - Heidenheim.
For Paderborn it is a game they have to win to stay close to 3rd place in the table. They are currently 8 points away from 3rd place.
Dresden also need 3 points. They are currently only 2 points away from a relegation place.
For Schalke and Heidenheim, 3 points are also important to show that they want to get promoted.

The only match that interests me today is between schalke and paderborn, this match is very crucial for both teams in securing their position in the standings, schalke who this season wants to return to promotion to the premier league certainly don't want to experience defeat like the previous match, it's enough it is important for schalke to continue to be consistent in gaining points because right now the competition at the top of the standings is quite tight and has a small difference in points, as well as paderborn who are starting to try to climb to the top and if they win today at least they can shorten their distance from top 4 ranking.

SSV Jahn Regensburg 0-1 St. Pauli

Have you seen Pauli's match against SSV Jahn Regensburg? Pauli won the match 3-2 with a 2-0 lead in the first half. Although Pauli won this match, we saw the dominance of SSV players throughout the match. However Pauli is an experienced team. They scored from a counter attack. SSV possession the ball more, they also attack more. But still they were not able to win. After losing points in 5 matches, Pauli has been able to win this match. And again they are able to occupy the top spot in the points table.
It seems strange to me that this is presented in the 2nd Bundesliga, but nevertheless I think that this league is very exciting, the SSV did not look bad, but there is something that I want to highlight here especially in this game, at a time when SSV Jahn Regensburg I saw that they lost control and everything went down the drain, and they were playing very well, but my doubt assails me as to what happened? Was there a loss of strategy? Or was it that the players suffered the results of fatigue? I understand that the Germans play very fast and that in 3 or 4 long passes they are already shooting on goal, and their speed is incredible, but what affected them so much?

@LUCKMCFLY I believe it was lack of tactics, because we all saw the intensity was there but I personally felt they ran out of ideas to try and that’s why they failed to win. Also it wasn’t a bad performance from SSV at all, but they need to work harder and implement better tactics and then execute them for a victory.

Here are the quotes for "Which team will go down?"
Ingolstadt 1.08
Aue 1.12
Sandhausen 2.2
Dresden 4.0
Rostock 5.0
Düsseldorf 6.0
So the market doesn't think that Düsseldorf is in much danger. Ingolstadt and Aue are 90% going down though. They would need a win streak of 3-4 games to even catch up with the competition. Sandhausen will be the most likely to play the relegation at the end of the season
Yes, I also agree because Dusseldorf is still in Big danger because de are still at the bottom. But with one or two wins consistently, they can be absolutely clear of the relegation zone because the points gap are not very big. And right now they seem to be doing better and trying to fight back.

Yes, that does look realistic. I also think that Aue and Ingolstadt are very likely to be relegated. But they also seem to want to fight now. Now is also the last chance for them. If they will not win the next 2-3 games, the gap will too big.
I think that the gap is too big already. And it also seems quiet and realistic that they will win two or three matches consistently. So, they are going to be relegated. Because it's hard for them to even now to make a comeback. I think ok you the best that is going to happen is maybe they will get some draws and stay at the position that they are in.

It shows that the teams at place 16th-18th are slowly fighting against relegation. All of them have not yet managed to win points, but in the meantime they are fighting. Düsseldorf even won against Schalke. These can be important points for Düsseldorf. And for Schalke were that  important points that they don't have now.

The team in 16th place, Dusseldorf, has some chances and some good chances to fight the relegation.

But for the 17th and the 18th placed team, I really don't think that there is much of a chance for them because the points difference is just too large for them to do anything right now. They are just too far behind in the number of points.

right now Schalke is playing against Düsseldorf (1-0 currently) and Hannover vs Darmstadt (1-1 currently)
If it stays like this we would have the Top5 teams within 1 point distance  Grin

the games are now over and neither of the two clubs could win their game.
schalke 04 lost the game in düsseldorf with 1-2 and darmsatdt 98 played 2-2 at hannover 96. so there is only one point difference between the first 4 places - the fifth place (schalke 04) is already 4 points behind a direct promotion place.

Dusseldorf VS Schalke is a close match if you would look at the game stats pretty much all percentages are pretty close but if we look at Shot on target we can see that Dusseldorf have 5 while Schalke have 4 a really close match, in my opinion, I really though Schalke could win this game yes luck from making the goal have gone to Dusseldorf making Schalke stays behind the 5th position of the standings,

The big winners of this game day clearly were Pauli, Bremen and Hamburg. All clubs from the North of Germany so to say Wink

Anyway, Darmstadt is showing some nerves now even though they looked very strong all the weeks before. Anyway, it is crazy how close the table still is. I said that before, but this is probably one of the most interesting constellations soccer has right now when the first six teams are so close to each other.

So close any team could make it to the 1st position of the standings, but then again, it is hard to predict are now who's going to be champion, because any of the teams in the 6th place could certainly do it, but right now St. Pauli have regained their number 1 spot, and Werder right now has landed themselves to the 2nd position, my choice to win as champion could be Werder, but certainly, this is really a hard discussion pertaining to the clubs on the 6th positions.

Yes but in a situation like this even when there is no "top" game, they are all playing against each other as everyone has to win their games or they slowly fall behind. It is an interesting situation I would say, but it has been like that in the 2. Bundesliga for years now. There is almost never a team that is leading by 10 points or so after 25 game days.

That would be on the 1st Division, and I think that is what differs between the two, the 1st Division is exciting when a weaker team beat the team on the top, and on the 2nd Division you can not predict any teams that could win or make it to the top, I love Bundesliga the way they were now, and the excitement really stays that way, but it is just a long wait for the next game to happen because right now events have a 1-week interval but it is still OK teams needs a certain rest to perform well.

You really love the Bundesliga the way it is? If Bayern wins this year's Bundesliga championship, they have won it every single year in a row for a whole decade. I don't find that very exciting from the perspective of a soccer fan. Maybe if you are hardcore Bayern Munich fan, but isn't it much more fun to have exciting finals towards the end of the season? I am sure Bayern will once more win the championship with 10 points or so being ahead.

I actually believed that Bundesliga 2 is actually more exciting than Bundesliga. I think we all can agree that most of us know that Bayern Munich are going to win the Bundesliga. And the only team capable of giving them a fight is Dortmund. Only two teams being competitive is just not good enough and on the other hand in Bundesliga 2, every team is really unpredictable and that's what a lot of viewers like me want to see. The competition here just seems to be more compact.
For the title race as well as being competitive, I agree with you but to see the game I will of course still choose the highest caste because it is clear that apart from wanting to see the game I also want to see the football stars who play there but indeed for competitive the Bundesliga 2 is much better even until week 22 now the competition is still very tight.
And this week, nothing too flashy. What I may regret this week is that Darmstadt did not get full points again which made them fall to 4th position.
