You really love the Bundesliga the way it is? If Bayern wins this year's Bundesliga championship, they have won it every single year in a row for a whole decade. I don't find that very exciting from the perspective of a soccer fan. Maybe if you are hardcore Bayern Munich fan, but isn't it much more fun to have exciting finals towards the end of the season? I am sure Bayern will once more win the championship with 10 points or so being ahead.

The team in 16th place, Dusseldorf, has some chances and some good chances to fight the relegation.

But for the 17th and the 18th placed team, I really don't think that there is much of a chance for them because the points difference is just too large for them to do anything right now. They are just too far behind in the number of points.

It shows that the teams at place 16th-18th are slowly fighting against relegation. All of them have not yet managed to win points, but in the meantime they are fighting. Düsseldorf even won against Schalke. These can be important points for Düsseldorf. And for Schalke were that  important points that they don't have now.

For the title race as well as being competitive, I agree with you but to see the game I will of course still choose the highest caste because it is clear that apart from wanting to see the game I also want to see the football stars who play there but indeed for competitive the Bundesliga 2 is much better even until week 22 now the competition is still very tight.
And this week, nothing too flashy. What I may regret this week is that Darmstadt did not get full points again which made them fall to 4th position.

I actually believed that Bundesliga 2 is actually more exciting than Bundesliga. I think we all can agree that most of us know that Bayern Munich are going to win the Bundesliga. And the only team capable of giving them a fight is Dortmund. Only two teams being competitive is just not good enough and on the other hand in Bundesliga 2, every team is really unpredictable and that's what a lot of viewers like me want to see. The competition here just seems to be more compact.

SSV Jahn Regensburg 0-1 St. Pauli

Have you seen Pauli's match against SSV Jahn Regensburg? Pauli won the match 3-2 with a 2-0 lead in the first half. Although Pauli won this match, we saw the dominance of SSV players throughout the match. However Pauli is an experienced team. They scored from a counter attack. SSV possession the ball more, they also attack more. But still they were not able to win. After losing points in 5 matches, Pauli has been able to win this match. And again they are able to occupy the top spot in the points table.

Dusseldorf VS Schalke is a close match if you would look at the game stats pretty much all percentages are pretty close but if we look at Shot on target we can see that Dusseldorf have 5 while Schalke have 4 a really close match, in my opinion, I really though Schalke could win this game yes luck from making the goal have gone to Dusseldorf making Schalke stays behind the 5th position of the standings,


So close any team could make it to the 1st position of the standings, but then again, it is hard to predict are now who's going to be champion, because any of the teams in the 6th place could certainly do it, but right now St. Pauli have regained their number 1 spot, and Werder right now has landed themselves to the 2nd position, my choice to win as champion could be Werder, but certainly, this is really a hard discussion pertaining to the clubs on the 6th positions.


That would be on the 1st Division, and I think that is what differs between the two, the 1st Division is exciting when a weaker team beat the team on the top, and on the 2nd Division you can not predict any teams that could win or make it to the top, I love Bundesliga the way they were now, and the excitement really stays that way, but it is just a long wait for the next game to happen because right now events have a 1-week interval but it is still OK teams needs a certain rest to perform well.

Yes but in a situation like this even when there is no "top" game, they are all playing against each other as everyone has to win their games or they slowly fall behind. It is an interesting situation I would say, but it has been like that in the 2. Bundesliga for years now. There is almost never a team that is leading by 10 points or so after 25 game days.

All the top four teams are in a real competition among themselves as there is only a one-point difference. This will be like it for quite some time and I think if that happens the goal difference will come in handy. So, I think that the teams will have to go for more goals as well as the win.

Yea, It still seems like the teams are working towards a grand finale  

Next week, there is no "top game". All top teams face opponents from the weaker half of the ranking. The closest to a top game will be Schalke vs Paderborn. We will see how consistent the top6 can collect points against the "weaker teams".

The big winners of this game day clearly were Pauli, Bremen and Hamburg. All clubs from the North of Germany so to say

Anyway, Darmstadt is showing some nerves now even though they looked very strong all the weeks before. Anyway, it is crazy how close the table still is. I said that before, but this is probably one of the most interesting constellations soccer has right now when the first six teams are so close to each other.

the games are now over and neither of the two clubs could win their game.
schalke 04 lost the game in düsseldorf with 1-2 and darmsatdt 98 played 2-2 at hannover 96. so there is only one point difference between the first 4 places - the fifth place (schalke 04) is already 4 points behind a direct promotion place.

right now Schalke is playing against Düsseldorf (1-0 currently) and Hannover vs Darmstadt (1-1 currently)
If it stays like this we would have the Top5 teams within 1 point distance 

A good result was created by Bremen and this indirectly made a good result for my bet
At least this provides a breath of fresh air for them to sit at the top for a while. Even if it's only for a few hours because St. Pauli does not seem to want to give the top of the standings easily.
Now they still lead with a score of 2-1 against Regensburg. I think this match will also be St Pauli's after a few games they didn't play well

Darmstadt lost in the worst way possible in my opinion because, first of all, I did not think that they are going to lose this match, and secondly absolutely never thought that they are going to lose by a 5 goal margin.

Absolutely unacceptable for the team which was playing to hold on to their first position in the league. I also think that there took their appointment too lightly and that might be a big reason for this to happen.

The current situation in the league as the standings have been completely changed. 1 place St. Pauli with 41 points (they are playing against Regensburg and they are leading 1:0) 2nd Werder Bremen 41 points, 3rd Hamburger SV with 40 points and 4th Darmstadt with 39 points. Tomorrow this could change again completely if Darmstadt wins against Hannover.

Actually I feel they will lose but indeed this is very far from prediction because even though I lost at first it would only be a thin defeat, it turned out that I was wrong in this and maybe even their biggest defeat this season. But indeed this was a mistake and they have to bounce back now.
Darmstadt and St Pauli should be able to win now because indeed they have been displaced now by hamburgers and Bremen who have indeed performed very well in their last 5 matches.

At the start of the season, we saw the poor performance of the Werder Bremen team. But they are able to solve their problems very well. And as a result they are now at the top of the points table. On the other hand, although Pauli's performance is excellent, they have lost their form very badly. They have lost many matches. And still can't get back to form.

Darmstadt's 5-0 defeat was completely unimaginable. Darmstadt is a very strong team. Although Hamburger is not a weak team. However, I did not expect them to score 5 goals in this match and win against Darmstadt. However, Darmstadt's dominance has diminished somewhat. Werder is at the top of the points table, but Pauli is consistently losing points.

Hamburg will surely find a way to mess it up towards the end of the season again, just like in the last years
