Didn't expect St Pauli to lose this match. This was the match that could potentially secure them first place in the league. But now they are still not very far behind. Only one point behind the first-place team.

So, it still should not be a big problem. I honestly like how this league is being played out because it's rare to see any league this competitive.

I would say the top six teams at the top of the points table have an equal chance of qualifying for the Bundesliga. My guess is that Paoli will rule the second Bundesliga this season. But lost points in 5 matches in a row. Now Pauli's qualification is uncertain. Now Werder Bremen is most likely to top the table, as they are playing consistently well now. Schalke is a good team but they are not regular.

Schalke is definitely the huge winner on this weekend. Out of the first six teams only Schalke managed to actually win their game. All the other teams are starting to show some nerves here as it seems. Especially Darmstadt and St. Pauli. Who would have thought two months ago that Pauli will drop in the table by so much? They seemed to really have it already and won all their games, now dropping point after point.

I actually expected a lot with these two teams but unfortunately their performance was very far from my expectations especially for St Pauli.
St Pauli and Darmstadt performances were actually quite good at the start of the league but now they seem to have lost their way in their game and failed to maximize the chances they should have when maximizing this well they will return to the top position.

The draws from Bremen and Hamburg surprised me a bit. But we are entering the phase where teams with 2-3 defeats will have a hard time catching up again. Nervous maybe?

Tomorrow's match between Düsseldorf and Aue will also be interesting.

In few Minutes Werder Bremen will play against SV Ingolstadt and Hamburger SV against SV Sandhausen. I hope that both are not successful, because I want to see darmstadt back on first place. Bremen won 8 out of the last 10 games
Hamburg and Darmstadt 6
St. Pauli and Schalke only 4
If this trend continues, then Bremen is in the Top3 safely. Hamburg again has the potential for sure, but their nerves were not the strongest towards the end of the season in the last years. Maybe they get their stuff together this year. I kind of think Schalke has a good chance against the competition. Darmstadt seems unstable after their 0-5 and St. Pauli is on outsider currently as they lost so many points in the last weeks. But as you said the situation is so close that it might look completely different in a couple of weeks.

actually the game is a very important one for sc paderborn, because in order to play for promotion they have to win today against schalke 04 in order not to completely lose contact with the first three places.
also heidenheim will have a hard time today - dynamo dresden will give everything to at least not lose the home game to get some important points against the relegation
