It is OK if Darmstadt could be champion, but I prefer Werder to take the lead, right now they have 5 consecutive wins but I don't really think they can fit the bill of becoming champion if they let their guard down now, I say keep their pace intact they have a close fight with Holstein Kiel and Holstein Kiel just have 1 goal advantage, win against Werder, I think they can do it if they put their effort together, but anything can happen with the 2nd division of the Bundesliga I think it is more entertaining than the 1st Division, but yeah the 1st Division surely required a different kind of guts and effort to be champion,
Werder Bremen currently still have a chance in the title especially with now they have bagged 6 wins in a row which leaves them now in 3rd position.
I wouldn't find it strange if they could play consistently like this they could overtake St. Pauli or Darmstadt.
They are only 4 points behind now and the number of games in the league is still quite a lot and anything can still happen.

i have to correct you a little bit. werder bremen has celebrated 5 victories in a row so far and can bring in the 6 victory at the home game in front of home 10000 spectators against karlsruher sc on saturday Wink
st. pauli has not come out of the winter break so well and has almost lost its good points lead again Tongue

Yup! Werder currently have 5 victories and may turn to 6 against Karlsruher right now Werder got 1 goal while Karlsruher have 0, Right now Werder is an advantage right now, they have the most shots, Ball possession passes, and pass accuracy, they are killing the Karlsruher right now and if they win this they can get the 2nd position of the standings,

Edit: right now Werder and Karlsruher are tied, but Werder still has the edge in the status,

werder bremen and schalke 04 win their home games with 2-1 each and put a lot of pressure on st. pauli and darmstadt 98.
moreover, bremen builds up its winning series and wins hard-fought but still game-dominant the 6th game in a row

the 21 matchday in the 2. bundesliga started today with a debacle for fc nürnberg. the club lost against the last of the table fc ingolstadt with 0-5 and thus loses completely the contact to the top places... Shocked
in the second friday match fc heidenheim could climb up to the 3rd place with a 3-1 win against hannover 96...

I watched the first 30 minutes of this match i dont know what happened to Inglostadt its like Real Madrid players went on the field in epic mode. They were so dominating and so many good chances and shots its like they are the best in the league. I think it could have been even more then 0-5 for Inglostadt. What a match from them!

Darmstadt are now at the top even though their current position is still not safe because there are Werder and St Pauli who are attached to them.
They did show a pretty good performance but still they have to look down now because St Pauli will not make them comfortable. besides that now their rivalry is increasing because Werder is currently performing very well and even they are currently on a winstreak and have not received a defeat for the last 6 matches

Well, St.Pauli will be having a match against Paderborn, and if Paderborn is in their best form they could get a win against St. Pauli, but still, St. Pauli is not a pushover, but Paderborn with no Injury means they are on the edge and 100% may perform well, While St. Pauli got their injured players, Christopher Avevor, Jannes Wieckhoff, and their 2nd best goaler Daniel-Kofi Kyereh I don't know for sure but St. Pauli is not in their 100% form, we can say they only got 80% in winning against Paderborn, but again we can not say for sure because any team can win.

I think you should look at their winning record again friends Cheesy after they lost to Holstein Kiel they have won 6 times so far
as for their last match record is

Bremen 4-0 Ore Mountains
Regensburg 2-3 Bremen
Hanover 1-4 Bremen
Bremen 3-0 Viktoria
Bremen 3-0 Fortuna Dussledorf
Paderborn 3-4 Bremen

and they will now face Karisruher who incidentally is one of the mid-table teams and indeed I still feel their trend will still be positive

what kind of opponent is this better asked what kind of game was this?
the club tells me now nothing in the 2. bundesliga...
and any friendly matches i would not count to the series Wink

I feel most times the sons are under pressure of living upto their fathers legacies and that’s why they end up underperforming, but having said that it’s quite possible that some perform even better than their fathers, but in this particular case it didn’t happen.
Exactly, there will be certain factors that will influence the performance, both being under pressure because of the father and some other factors that may influence. Some sons may be happy with the history of their father, but some may be under pressure moreover if compared with the father's skill or achievement. It will give both negative and positive impacts.

Also it’ll be a difficult match for Hamburger SV despite their performances, I’m not entirely convinced that they can easily win this fixture, but is anyone planning on wagering on their victory?.
Ehm, actually I am not willing to wager my money on this match. But I think that Darmstadt will probably win  Cheesy

That may be right. Or he gets the chance only because daddy was such a great footballer. The name opens up many opportunities in football. Or it becomes very difficult, the son must be able to do this if he wants to be a profi.

Also it’ll be a difficult match for Hamburger SV despite their performances, I’m not entirely convinced that they can easily win this fixture, but is anyone planning on wagering on their victory?.

Only 1,000 fans allowed into the stadium for the match.... a limit that will piss off many fans. It's possible with more fans, but only 1,000 in a stadium of around 17,500 places, is too few. At darmstadt there is one player who won't be there, it's Gjasula. They will notice that in the defence and Gjasula would have loved to play against his old club. Darmstadt on 1st place in the league and they're playing at home, so if they don't get 3 points, I'll be fucked off too.

Who still remember Gianluca Gaudino from FC Bayern? He is the son of Maurizio Gaudino. Unfortunately, his son did not make it at Bayern and had many transfers in his career.
Some cases are like this, not veery son of someone can be like him at the past. I also have seen some players who are sons of very popular and professional players previously but cannot play as well as their father (in several sports).
Well, because sometimes, this is not about talent or gen, but this is about how they are doing the process and their skills. Moreover if compared to other players who are much better.

-snip-
I still bet for Darmstadt in the next match on Sunday. They still have a higher chance to win even only a few chance. Darmstadt is in the first standing. But we also cannot ignore that Hamburger SV also has played very well in some previous matches.

I also feel that way because this season St. Pauli was really beyond expectations but indeed last week's game against hamburgers was a real hit and because of that they have to keep improving.
now they are preparing to face paderborn and i think this is a good opportunity for them because indeed Paderborn i think they are still not in good form and this must be put to good use

I really missed the time Darmstadt become the 1st position on the standing, they are pretty good at keeping the pace even though they have lost to Dusseldorf it doesn't really matter because their score has to lead to the 1st position of the standing and right now on February 6, Darmstadt will face Hamburger SV another score if they win but if they slack by only this 1 match, Werder is on the 3rd place, and pretty much catching up, While St. Pauli will not agree with their situation and could regain the 1st place again,

After the teams from places 1-9 played on Friday and Saturday, there is still one match open on Sunday. Between Darmstadt and Hamburger SV. Depending on how the other teams played, they can make important steps in the table.
But I don't think there will be a winner in this match.

You're right, Werder Bremen has many possibilities to be in the first place, postponed St Pauli is not that bad, but on the other hand Schalke has the same possibilities, although to be honest I think that Bremen deserves it, although in football is not given that the one who deserves it wins the most but the one who scores the goals, it is an ideal moment for Werder Bremen to be crowned, the truth is I was very excited with Darmstadt but it is a little far from the first place although as I say for my the most deserving is the Darmstadt.

I don't know if Werder will be able to finish the season in first place, but it is very important not to bring it to play-offs. Werder have every chance of being second, but the top of the standings is very tight and Schalke and Hamburg also have a very good chance of competing for Bundesliga qualification.

Anything can happen this is the 2nd Division of the Bundesliga I really think that the 8th position of the 2nd Bundesliga has a chance to become champion, but any team for himself, Schalke, and Hamburg really have a good chance, and this is really good for the 2nd Division don't is very sure anymore if they are the one who would become champion.

Who still remember Gianluca Gaudino from FC Bayern? He is the son of Maurizio Gaudino. Unfortunately, his son did not make it at Bayern and had many transfers in his career. Now there is another one, he is going to SCR Altach in Austria for 5 months. He only played a few games at SV Sandhausen. That is why Gaudino has asked for the transfer. He has chosen a difficult time, but as ACR Altach is playing against relegation from the league... that will be five tough months. I hope we can see him play in the Bundesliga again sometime, his father was a great player and he is now his menager.

Gianluca Gaudino is 25 years old now but in his career has not found his best form despite being at several different clubs, it will be very difficult to develop again let alone to return to a club as big as Bayern Munich.
It is a pity that the player who plays as a Midfielder is predicted to be a Star someday when he is at the Bayern club, but the reality is different.
Of the several clubs that he has played for, no significant contribution has been made, I think the competition is getting tougher between players to get the best performance and get a proper place in the club in the best European continent's league.
I don't think I'll be back again.

It's a shame, even though Gianluca Gaudino rarely gets injured but his performance hasn't improved much, in fact Gianluca Gaudino is often on the bench in his current team as well. In the next match Sandhausen will play against Aue who is also the closest competitor in the relegation zone, but since Sandhausen looks better Sandhausen should be able to win the match using the home factor as well. Even though head to head doesn't look so dominant, they really have to be better now if they don't want to be relegated and I'm not sure Gianluca Gaudino will get a place in the starting eleven.

With the sudden loss of Pauli's form, the chances of teams like Werder, Schalke and Hamburger qualifying have increased. In fact no team here is too strong. Darmstadt is in good form now, so it is safe to say that Darmstadt will be able to qualify. Despite losing Pauli form, they are still excellent as a team. Between Werder, Schalke and Hamburger, my Hamburger team seems to be a bit more stable. Because their defense is relatively strong.

From the 2nd Bundesliga, St. Pauli will play against Union Berlin and Hannover 96 against Leipzig (both other teams from the 1st Bundesliga). And Hamburger SV against Karlsruher SC.
This means that at least one club from the 2nd Bundesliga will reach the semi-finals.

Yes, that's true DFB-Pokla is going to be interesting. These matches are going to be exciting because teams with rather low positions in the league will try to prove their worth in the cup matches. Smiley
And it will be really interesting to see if these smaller teams can continue the form in the league and do better.

It is not just that they can prove their worth. It is also the fastest way to play international. The winner of the DFB Cup has a guaranteed place in the Europa League. You only need 6 times to win. Quite simple, actually.  Cheesy
