That boredom has at least been broken by Leverkusen last season, and hopefully next season the trophy competition will involve more teams, like the Premier League which presents competition until the end of the season. The Bundesliga will be more interesting if the trophy is won by a different team every season, because it indicates the competitive level of the competition. In many ways, Bayern Munich still seems to be the dominant team among all the contestants, and that is natural because they have stable finances thanks to their success so far.

I hope Leverkusen can maintain their performance like last season, so they will be able to provide tough competition for any team that will win the title. Actually, whoever will be the champion does not really matter, including if Bayern Munich can win the title again. But what I want to see is that the team that becomes the champion does not get it easily, but they have to struggle to be able to win the title.
Competition like in the Premier League that I want to see, where they have to determine who will be the champion through the last match they play. Bayer chose a different path, they decided to keep the team together and try to win the Bundesliga again, and also try what they are capable of in the Champions League, but I think the number one task for Alonso this season is to defend the championship title.

As for Dortmund, I doubt that they could win all the tournaments so easily, it is much more difficult than it seems, even the strongest teams like Bayern or City cannot do this, and Dortmund has never been one of the strongest, so it is even more difficult for them and maybe that is why they chose a different path, when you do not strive to be the best team, but have a very good financial situation and sometimes hope to reach the Champions League final as it was recently, or fight for victory in the Bundesliga, when everything was decided in the last round and everything was in the hands of Dortmund, but apparently the team is simply not ready for great victories.

About the past you are right that Munich have done that to weakened other Teams mostly Dortmund was the victim here.

Whether it was a mistake or not, it was a strategy for Dortmund to benefit financially.
Technically when talking about finances then they are clearly very good because a lot of players who Dortmund published have a very large value when used as business material which makes Dortmund's financial strength quite strong because of the profits they have. But when it comes to competition, it is clear that this is not really expected by some fans because of course they want to see their proud club get a trophy in a competition and Dortmund cannot do that because they have their own way of profit.
As long as there are no more demands from the fans then I think Dortmund will continue to do that but when the fans are still comfortable when they are seen as a big club even without any trophies that can be obtained then they will continue to do the same thing.

This format of building and selling of player by Borussia Dortmund is not that bad though, if that’s what actually works for them, they will continue doing it and I don’t think they’ve thought of changing that policy recently. They still lack that vision of being champions no matter how they try and go far in all competitions maybe they should also work on that and not only focus on making money from young player that they sell. Times are really changing and maybe this format may not be good for them again, so they should also look for another means to continue being amongst the best team and also improve their finances also.


The performance of Bayern Leverkusen last season have made a lot of people to wonder how their performance in the champions league will be next season, if they can still stand a chance there as they did in the Bundesliga or not. The competition is highly more competitive here and will require that Bayern Leverkusen give more than what they actually had in the last season in their Bundesliga and Europa League participation. They are a team that if they want to stay at the top, they’ve to be consistent in their performance and be at the top in both competitions. Xabi Alonso knows much is expected from him, so he should be prepared to give that much in the upcoming season games.

I think even in the first when Bayern Munich sent him an offer they were not interested in hiring Jonathan Tah to improve the team but they just wanted to hire Jonathan Tah to make Leverkusen lore an effective player. I also can't wait to see how Leverkusen will perform in the Champions League this season apart from their performance in the Bundesliga this season. Because Xabi Alonso will definitely try to maintain his good performance again this season even though this may still be doubted by some people because the Champions League competition is a competition full of pressure. And also next season Bayern Munich as their strongest rival has made several changes that may affect their strength in the Bundesliga and also the Champions League.
