this is a very tough final I think it's not because Leipzig played well that they can become champions but the fault lies with the Freiburg team where they can't maximize their advantage in number of players and even they have a 1 goal lead. It's a shame, I think this happened because he didn't believe he was a player in the final and the penalty shootout loss proved that the Freiburg team's mentality was not that good.

You are right there was a second red card but Leipzig played til to the penalty with 10 Players on the field.
Because the player Kevin Kampl was already changed out earlier from the field and he got the red card on the substitute bench.
And this has not affected the players on the field .

But for the German Cup today i must say we have seen that Leipzig is a great team and played very well with only 10 players over an hour.
They deserved it today even they got luck in the penalty , now they have there first title.

I think Leipzig favorite on become the winner on German cup this time than Freiburg, success finiah on 4th place and close dream for Freiburg play on champion league become great achievement for Leipzig, maybe Freiburg have refans for Lepzig after failure on get 4th place of champion league can try get trophy with German Cup.

Leipzig at the end of the season is playing as badly as possible but at the same time they are as lucky as possible and get what they want - 4th place in the Bundesliga + German Cup thanks to the lottery. Leipzig was the big favorite before the game today which is no surprise because Leizpig is probably the third or even second strongest team of the whole Bundesliga. Still Freiburg was completely on the same level today and because of the circumstances they even were way closer to win the game in the normal or in the overtime than Leipzig. So in the end it was pretty lucky for Leizpig.

It was absolutely crazy they came down to 10 men but still managed to equalize and one more player out luckily it was the end of extra time.
Now Penalties are ongoing and it will be interesting to see which player's mentality is the strongest now considering this apart from strength and composure, mentality is also of course very much tested in this penalty shootout

There are two days to go to determine the last team promoting to the Bundesliga. The biggest candidate for this seems to be Hamburg for now. Because they already defeated Hertha Berlin in an away game by 1-0. This is a huge advantage for them I believe. When we think that Hamburg have been on a much greater run than their opponent in the recent times, I don't see Hertha Berlin making a comeback from this point. I might bet on Hamburg to win again as they are playing really strongly. Let's see if I'll be wrong about it.
