No team that has trouble against Koln will end up giving Bayern a trouble, these are just facts. Leverkusen started the league very well, but that wasn't what they were really on the pitch, they just had a good start, this is the real Leverkusen if you ask me.

I think it is clear to me that Bayern will win the league fairly easily once again. Dortmund still managing to grab wins while Haaland is out, that is a good sign for them but I doubt they will go this good until end of the season.

Freiburg is doing good so far but I still doubt they could hold these good results for long. There will be a change in the table before the opening of the next transfer window imo. Freiburg are going to play against Bayern Munich in an away match in two weeks in the Bundesliga. And this is going to be their toughest match in this season that's for sure. We really saw that Bayern Munich literally ended Leverkusen by 5-1 away not much time ago. Leverkusen were even sharing the points with Bayern Munich. But it doesn't matter for Bayern Munich when they are in the mood. Grin

Dortmund defeated Bielefeld by 3-1 away and Bayern Munich simply destroyed Hoffenheim by 4-0 home also. Dortmund are still one point behind Bayern Munich after these results. And Lewandowski has taken the lead back in the top scorers table from Erling Haaland in the absence of him this week due to an injury of his. Freiburg defeated Wolfsburg and they are still following these two big clubs closely. But I wonder until when they will be able to keep up this performance. It is not easy to recover from a major defeat, especially when you are at the top of the standings. In addition, the games in the Europa League can affect, Bayer had a tough game with Betis. However, for me it was expected that after a third of the season passed, the team will roll lower.

^^ Leverkusen is in the 4th spot on the point table and Koln is on the 8th but I have to say that for me Koln was the better team in that match and I know people might disagree with me but I got the stats to prove me right. Koln had more shots, more possession, more passes, and accurate passes made fewer fouls, got fewer bookings, and even got caught offside fewer times. And I think this was a deserving result for Koln. It would be really unlucky if they actually lost. But they did well to come back from behind after trailing by 2-0 so early in the match. They worked hard and patiently and got themselves a point.

One of the very impressive teams now are Freiburg undoubtedly. And it is a really interesting fact that Freiburg are the only one which haven't lost in the Bundesliga in this season so far. Grin

I never expected a this solid start from them honestly and I don't think anyone did too. They got a huge 2-0 away win against Wolfsburg the last time. They played 2 other big games in the league also against Dortmund and Leipzig. They defeated Dortmund by 2-1 and drew with Leipzig by 1-1. I'd like to say that I can't wait to watch them against Bayern Munich. But it seems pretty obvious that Bayern Munich can destroy them also like they did the same thing to Leverkusen.

For me , the game of this weekend in Bundesliga was without any doubt Koln - Leverkusen as both teams went on each other and after 1st half where Leverkusen dominated , it came the 2nd half and came along for Koln who managed to score twice and each them had 2 great chances to score their 3rd goal but the draw was a well deserved for both of them.

After this weekend in Bundesliga, I can't count out anymore Freiburg and Union Berlin shows and proves that they are growing as a team from game to game.

They should have granted him a few more games to give him the chance to recover. On the other hand the trend was really bad of course. I hope that Van Bommel finds another job pretty soon, maybe even in the bundesliga, as i like him as a coach. We will see.

I think it is a combination of the results of the Bundesliga, the Champignons League and the DFB Pokal (one player too many substituted against Preussen Münster and therefore lost). After all, he didn't win 8 games and that was probably too much. Who knows which coaches Wolfsburg has already talked to in the background.

After the first half ended with Bayer Leverkusen leading with 2 goals. I literally told myself that they have won the match already. Little did I know that Köln wasn't ready to lose their home match, and they eventually equalize the match by scoring 2 goals in the 2nd halves. From my observation, Köln haven't lost any of their home matches this season. They have played a total of 5 home matches so far, they however won 3 and drew the remaining 2. Although, Köln have a tough match ahead which won't be easy for them to win, they need to be well prepared.

After being destroyed by Bayern Munich with a 5-1 result home, Leverkusen found an opportunity to get a solid win against Koln today. And after ending the first half by 2-0 ahead, I thought like Leverkusen would secure the win. However, Koln didn't give up on the race easily and they managed to equalize the score. Modeste had a great performance that he scored two goals and had a huge role for his team to save one point by 2-2 here. After this result, they were left a little further away from Bayern Munich and Dortmund in the standings.
