Dortmund got an easy game against Bielefeld today. Maybe Haaland was injured and wasn't able to play in this one but they were still highly the favorite team. And they really did what was expected from them by defeating Bielefeld by 3-1. Bellingham was one of the closest players to score in this game and he really did score one. Maybe Bayern Munich also won their game this week but Dortmund still continued to follow them very close in the standings which is by one point.

sc freiburg wins with 2-0 the away game in wolfsburg and remains unbeaten in the bundesliga. furthermore freiburg has the best defense in the league with 6 goals conceded Shocked
the two favorites dortmund (3-1 at arminia bielefeld) and bayern (4-0 at home against hoffheim) won their games
tonight there is still the game berlin - mönchengladbach which could also be quite interesting

I feel very bad for the Wolfsburg team. The team surprised everyone by winning the first 4 matches of the season in a row. In the fifth match they drew against Eintracht Frankfurt. Only then did their bad times begin. They have lost 3 matches in a row in Bundesliga. They also failed to win two matches in the Champions League. They have not won in the last 7matches. They are still trailing 1-0 against Freiburg today, it doesn't look like they can win.

Now Freiburg is already up 2-0 against Wolfsburg and it really looks like that Wolfsburg will lose the next match today which is really bad for them because of the series of losses that they already had before this match that you already mentioned. I feel pretty bad for Wolfsburgs Coach Mark van Bommel because i always like him since he was a player. I just hope the officials of Wolfsburg don't lose their trust into him and that he gets the chance to be their coach for at least a few more matches.
That being said, Freiburg is performing absolutely crazy this season again. Christian Streich can't be praised enough for what he achieves with this team year after year. He is probably the best coach of the bundesliga and probably even a top 3 coach in europe.

Have you seen the list of Borussia players who cannot play? This is the eternal problem of Borussia, closer to the middle of the season they have a lot of injured players and then, as a result, there is a significant decline in results. Borussia Dortmund is a great team, but in such a situation I would never risk betting on them. By the way, as for Ajax, do not underestimate them, they are a great team with a great philosophy of the game.

Dortmund is really in the tight spot, without 10 of its players, and 4 of them is the main scoring players, but yes Dortmund can not underestimate Arminia, because Armenia is in their top shape right now and without any players that are injured I think they can make a good start in having their 1st win, against the Dortmund, but I can not say aswell even without that 10 injured players of Dortmund, Borussia Dortmund still have Marco Reus and Julian Brandt with the support of Jude Bellingham and Donyell Malen maybe there are still hope for Dortmund.

^ This match is live right now and Dortmund is actually leading. Thanks to the penalty kick by Chan at 31 minutes. Unsurprisingly Dortmund has had the fair share of the ball with 72% possession. They seem to be dominating Armenia as of now. 44 minutes have been played and the score is Dortmund 1-0 Armenia. And I think this should be an easy win for Dortmund if everything goes right.

And if Armenia wants to make something of this match, they either need to get hold of the possession of the ball or catch Dortmund off guard on the fast counter.

very bad news for all borussia dortmund fans. as was announced today, E. Haaland will be missing from the club for several weeks due to injury and whether he will be playing this year will also be very unlikely Undecided
in addition, other players (Nico Schulz and Thomas Meunier) are injured and will be out this week/next week

It is indeed a crucial situation Borussia Dortmund have and not only Erling Haaland but Raphael Guerreiro, Giovanni Reyna, and Thomas Meunier are all injured at the moment, Erling Haaland have problems with his hip flexor Guerreiro with a torn muscle fiber, Reyna a muscle injury, and Meunier that I don't know the injury is, but men aside from this 4 main top scorers and players of Dortmund, there are 6 more players for Dortmund that are injured aswell, this is really a crucial situation and with the standings of Dortmund right now they will need that win more likely,

I can't imagine that Dortmund will have any problems against Bielefeld even though they have to play without Haaland the difference in terms of individual quality of the players is just to big between those two teams. At the moment Dortmund is very close to Bayern Munich as they are only 1 point behind them, but to be honest i think the quality difference between Bayern and Dortmund is way higher than this 1 point gap might suggest. This was obvious again a few days ago, where Dortmund had zero chance against Ajax Amsterdam, which is only a Tier 2 team in europe while Bayern had zero problems with Benfica Lissabon.

But do not forget, Dortmund are or has always been poor when playing away matches.
The chances of the home team scoring a goal here is high,I am pretty sure they'll want to scale through get three points and sit  at the top of the league but this Gon be a cracker for them, I be having double thoughts because they didn't play as expected during the Champions League defeat to Ajax.
The defeat in the champions league is quite painful for dortmund moreover the defeat was their first defeat in the champions league this season, apart from losing in that match, now dortmund have to prepare to lose haaland for a few weeks because his hip injury got worse after the match.

@Ebede while Dortmund is a strong team, but Halland is out due to injury and that’ll be an big issue for them in this fixture and the upcoming fixtures. However I do agree that they should be able to secure the win in today’s fixture, but if the match gets close then Halland presence will surely be missed.
The hip injury suffered by Haalaand will reportedly keep Haalaand out of action for the next few weeks and it is clear that it will cost the Dortmund squad a huge loss having lost their goal bomber so far.
But fortunately this week match dortmund will face a team that is quite weak and of course Reus and Mallen may be used as mainstays to score goals in that match.

Nice prediction. Mainz destroyed Augsburg at home . Even in the first half o most everything was finished. I think Augsburg will finally be relagated this year. They only have 6 points and if they dont start playing good i think they will be relegated this season.
Augsburg isnt that good this season as they was last year and Mainz playing a bit better as the last season and they are really good at home.
Leipzig should be win against Greuther Fürth today , and if Dortmund will lose against Arminia Bielefeld i lose hope for them so fingers crossed they win also.
Wolfsburg vs Freiburg its hard to say and its also hard to place a bet on how Munich will be playing against Hoffenheim , maybe we will see a surprise there.

Big bad news for Dortmund fans. Dortmund have several important matches next month. If they don't win the matches, they will fall behind. Dortmund will play against FC Koln, Leipzig and Wolfsburg next month in the Bundesliga. It will be difficult to win these matches without Haaland. On the other hand, they will play against Ajax and Sporting CP in the Champions League. If Haaland is not in the team, Dortmund will lose both these matches. Horrible month waiting for Dortmund fans.

I'm not a Dortmund fan, but I still think it's a pity that he will not be able to play for a long time because of an injury. It's fun to watch him. Get well soon.

Now it will be interesting to see who will replace him and how Marco Rose will reorganise the team. Indeed, very importand matches will be held the next weeks.

Yes it is also sad because he is head to head with Lewandwoski as a scorer. Taking overall scorer points (services as well), he has the lead. He even missed three games in the competitions already. I guess Lewandowski is puzzled every single time that there is a dude in the Bundesliga who keeps up with him with ease as it seems. Lewa 2 goals, Haaland 2 goals and a service on top, no problem! Cheesy

Hope he is going to recover quickly. As you said, watching Haaland is a real upgrade to soccer as a whole. No weird attitudes, so down to earth and all his focus is put on the team's success. It's fun to see how Haaland also enjoys goals of his teammates. There are so many strikers who seem to almost be pissed because they didn't score themselves, but not Haaland. He enjoys it as much as if it was his own goal. A real team player!

Hopefully Dortmund and Bayern Munich stay in their best form today so they can win for sure, in my view Arminia Bielefeld and Hoffenheim at this moment don't seem to have the ability to play such a difficult match. I am aware that Dortmund have just lost their last match in CL but it is a different tournament which of course, when playing in the Bundesliga at least Dortmund will still be a difficult opponent, moreover the opponent that will be faced this time is a team that is in the relegation zone. I hope it will be an easy win for them, because on paper they will definitely win.

I also hope that Dortmund can win the game against Arminia Bielefeld, so that they can continue to compete with Bayern Munich.
Bielefeld vs Dortmund match will take place this weekend. I'm sure it will be an easy game for Dortmund. getting full points for every game nowadays for Dortmund is a must to keep the distance from Munich.
Bielefeld has played very badly this season. in 8 games have not got a win. despite playing at home, it will still be a tough match for Bielefeld.

Yeah, This match shouldn't be a problem for Dortmund to win. They have been in good form lately and haven't had that much of a problem in the scoring department even without Haaland. Bellingham has been very good from the start and overall they are playing a very good team game. Competing against Bayern for the title would be very tough but it's worth a shot.

Not to say that Bayern did not have any problems at all in the match with Benfica, because 0-0 after the first half and before the 70th minute still indicates some problems Wink Another question is that after conceding the ball, Benfica showered and conceded 3 goals in 4 minutes from 80 to 84 minutes. Borussia Dortmund, of course, should win against Armenia even without the participation of Haaland, which the club had already done well before. But another injury to Haaland and the subsequent absence of a player on the field in the next few weeks still lowers Dortmund's chances in the fight and is quite an alarming sign. Still, I would not like injuries to spoil the promising career of a talented young player and not allow him to realize his full potential.

In my opinion, Leipzig's performance has decreased so much this year, because they were abandoned by Julian Nagelsmann. I see the strategy used by Nagelsmann is very effective, making Leipzig good in attack and strong in defense. What hurts is Nagelsmann decided to move to Bayern this season which is a rival to Leipzig, finally this season Leipzig played at a very much different level.

Moreover, the players who have brought in Leipzig this season have not contributed, and I think that even if Leipzig want to sign players of the same level as Lewandowski or Haaland, it's impossible. Besides Leipzig's finances are not so strong, it is very difficult to convince star players to play in Leipzig. If this season Leipzig managed to enter the top 5, it would be a pretty good achievement. because with the quality of coaches
and players that Leipzig currently has, it is very difficult to compete with big teams.
They lost a few key players as well. However, I did not expect a team so rich would be at this place right now. Not like they are having any financial trouble, red bull makes sure of that. They own the team as far as I know and not just naming rights sponsorship and all, they literally own the team right? At least in Football Manager that I play, they have insane funds and end up getting all the big names in a few years, I can't remember how many times I saw Haaland or Mbappe end up there one day.

Maybe in real life they can't get those players, but they are not financially strained neither, they are richer than Barcelona right now for example. This is why I assumed they would get a manager at least as good as Nagelsmann when he left, and filled the team with great players because during pandemic players are a little cheaper. Guess I was wrong.

Dortmund's next target after defeating Mainz is Bielefeld tomorrow. It is an away game but it doesn't matter much for Dortmund against a weak team like this though. Dortmund will want to avenge the huge loss against Ajax in the Champions League, 4-0. I really didn't understand the main problem in that game. Actually, I knew already that Dortmund had a really bad defense. They concede goals really easily. However, their offense is much better. But they couldn't even score one goal. They will want to leave that game behind by destroying Bielefeld here I think. I expect a win for Dortmund by a big gap.
