I stand with Palestine.
There will always be a stronger opponent in the opposing league just like this time when atalanta beats leverkusen with decent scores. Just don't underestimate your opponent when you know nothing about em. It demonstrates that just because your team has had a perfect run in the Bundesliga does not give you the right to be overconfident in your ability to win games easily in the serious competition like europa league. Nobody is perfect, and Leverkusen will learn that from the game against atalanta. Gasperini is still superior in term of building the good strategy rather than xabi alonso.
All of Leverkusen's players were overconfident about the game against Atalanta and they thought that they could beat atalanta easily. Things changed dramatically when Lookman was on fire and destroyed Bayern Leverkusen with large scores. They were surprised by it. Lookman's price is also rising a lot.

Xabi Alonso will have learned that anything can happen in the final. Atalanta's mentality was boosted after beating Liverpool by the same score in the first leg. Leverkusen is not strong enough in the European competition.
Bayern Leverkusen will try to give Xabi some money to help strengthen their clubs for the upcoming season. Leverkusen failed last season and is making the same mistakes again this season.

I totally agree with you. When team becomes too confident they can become weak. This happened to Leverkusen when they lost to Atalanta. Despite doing well in Bundesliga.they thought they could easily beat Atalanta but they were wrong. Atalanta coach Gasperini came up with better plan and Lookman played an amazing game that Leverkusen didn't expect. This loss teaches Leverkusen valuable lesson that no team is perfect and competitions in Europe require different level of preparation. Leverkusen made the same mistakes this season as they did last season. Hopefully they will learn from this defeat and work to improve their team for future challenges.

Leverkusen had an amazing performance during this season no matter if they lost the final match against Atalanta with a 3-0 result but they had god enough performance to make Bayern Munich change their coach and lose the Bundesliga title after ears of winning it.
Leverkusen didn't lose any game after 51 games of playing in different tournaments and this is amazing for any team at this level.
Checking the game between Leverkusen and Atalnata, Xabi Alonso was shocked when he saw this situation in this game.
However, I think Leverkusen is going to keep having this good performance in the next season they are going to still keep tracing at the top side of the Bundesliga table.

I believe anyone who says Kane is the reason Bayern failed is just memeing, to be honest. If they truly believe he brings bad luck, then that's just naive. You can play around connecting dots here and there but at the end of the day, you can't explain to your stakeholders that the reason why your club doesn't win anything is because some players bring bad luck. Might as well throw some darts when you want to decide which players you should buy this season. That being said, some clubs do make poor decisions here and there whether they are in the Bundesliga or not.
Indeed, they are just memeing. And indeed, when their idol club loses, the fans will always look for a scapegoat to blame 100%. And this time, Kane brought bad luck. Shit.

This is one of the Kane meme.  Grin

Well, Tuchel should be more responsible for Bayern Munich's condition this time. We'll see how next season goes, because Bayern Munich will have their new coach. However, several candidates for Tuchel's replacement coach are still being debated, because some of the choices are not that good. In fact, Vincent Kompany is the most discussed candidate. But, didn't he really fail at Burnely? Burnley itself is even in the relegation zone, but what Vincent Kompany considers to be the most appropriate.

There's huge differences when it comes to matches, we belong to the long path of the system and always be patience because more comes our way.nBayer Leverkusen have created one of the longest unbeaten streak in the modern days of football, I've watch before my very own eyes, Bayer Leverksuen defeated in the UEFA Europa League final by Atalanta. Xabi Alonso had a target and that was simply harboring for growth and unbeaten with winning the treble but caught short off from the main criteria.
Well, one of Leverkusen's keys is Xabi, if he is still there, and they are able to buy several key top players to further strengthen the team, Leverkusen will be much better than it should be. Although they're failed to win UEFA Europa League this season, this won't break the condition that Xabi has incredibly rise up Leverkusen more greatly. After all, next season they will enter the Champions League, so they also have to be more prepared to meet other strong clubs, more than the Bundesliga and Europa League.

But it seems, if for example Bayern Munich doesn't get the right coach next season, then maybe Bayer Leverkusen will still be able to win the Bundesliga trophy again next season. I think this could happen, considering that it seems like Bayern Munich also has internal problems which are likely to be difficult for them to overcome, especially regarding the right coach for Bayern Munich next season. That way, it is very likely that teams like Dortmund, Leipzig and Suttgart will also be better next season. Ofcourse,it would be interesting if Bayern Munich failed to dominate the league, because with Bayern Munich still in chaos it would give other teams in the Bundesliga have the chance to win the Bundesliga trophy.

Bayern Munich won’t allow the choice to pick a new coach be decided just like that, they’ll look for the best to replace Tuchel after finishing on the table as second position. They still have a long time to go to decide that. Rumor already have it that the new coach will be Vincent Kompany, the current head coach of Burnley who were relegated recently. A lot will be judging this coach base on his performance at Burnley, but can we see it as a means of earning more from a big team. He might have been using the right strategy but the club he is employing it with are not fit enough to get him that position he desires. We can’t conclude on his future with them, but I hope he delivers well at Bayern Munich and keep the fly of Bayern Munich flying higher after recent losses they’ve encountered in the just concluded season.

I think by now they must have realized the level of damage they have gotten themselves into as a result of the their poor performance against Atalanta because nobody expected them to concede 3 goals without replying any one when they have been so good in goal scoring this season. Yes Leverkusen was predicted as the favorite because of their decent performance in all competitions but against Atalanta they underperformed and got defeated in a very bad way. Alonso can't be blamed because he didn't see that coming from his players especially the defense and after the game they have to get back on their feet, work on themselves and get ready to keeping fighting especially in the last finals they have to prove themselves once again in the DFB title which they need to win in order to get back the teams confidence, they will be in trouble if they fail to lift the DFB trophy after their weak performance against Atalanta.
Honestly a three goals loss was really much, if they had lost by a goal or maximum two it could be considered fair and probably assumed that Atlanta were just lucky but then in this case non of such was the case because three goals is a clear indication they had a deserving win and even by their performance they showed they weren't really deserving of winning the trophy rather Atlanta was.

DFB trophy isn't going to be a difficult one for Leverkusen as their opponent isn't a match with them but I hope they don't get another surprise like they did in the Europa league this season, they should have learnt their lessons and are going to make sure such doesn't have to be repeated in the  DFB as it will be a heavy slap on their face if such happens again they can't afford to loose two finals in one season it's definitely going to be one of the worse they will have experienced since they began to Play football, I don't think Leverkusen will be so dull enough to even allowing that happen, not after that which they have seen in the Europa.

Actually their confidence has obviously been tampered with after the loss against Atlanta, lucky for them they have got no other tough game thereafter which they may likely perform that poorly again but in the DFB I'm sure they will do better not minding how messy their mentality could be currently, the team in the finals of the DFB isn't such a tough one that Leverkusen cannot confidently contend.

The truth is the main season target and goal of Bayern Leverkusen has been achieved which is to win the Bundesliga. Any other trophies were just a an extra to the team. But it wouldn't be bad if they have maintained unbeaten in the Bundesliga and also if they had won the Europa cup. These things are worth fighting for because they have moved to the final i don't know why they have to keep some players on reserve without starting them.

Next season Bayern Leverkusen will be going to the UCL. I believe they will perform awesome there as well. If they maintain this type of performance, we might likely see them going far in the UCL.

Maybe the Leverkusen players were still in euphoria after their success in the Bundesliga, they seemed to have lost concentration and received punishment from Atalanta. Previously, Leverkusen were the favorites in that match considering their impressive performance so far, but what happened was that Atalanta was able to take advantage of the situation and they were able to appear confident even though they were not at all favored. But that is the result Alonso has given everything for Leverkusen, there is nothing to blame but to learn and continue to learn from every mistake in yesterday's match. Leverkusen still has another chance, namely to win the DFB Pokal title, in my opinion if they succeed in winning the title it will also be extraordinary. Keep your spirits up and you are the best in Germany this season.

Leverkusen unbeaten record was finally broken after Atlanta managed to embarrass them at the Aviva Stadium, the majority of us here certainly supported Leverkusen to be able to continue their previous positive trend, but in fact, Atlanta, who was not the favorite in this match, was actually able to destroy the game built by Leverkusen, using 3 strikers in frontline of course, it was quite effective for Atlanta in that match because it seemed that Leverkusen defense was more focused on scamacca and forgot about the lookman who often stood freely on the wing, but apart from Atlanta clever tactics in the game, it seems that Leverkusen didn't have a good enough mentality when playing in the final match.

I don't think euphoria was the reason for their failure in the final, because there was quite a big time difference between them winning the league and the final match, besides, even if euphoria was the reason, shouldn't they have better motivation to be able to win the next trophy?  However, if we pay attention to that match, Leverkusen was able to dominate the match, but we can see that Atlanta's solid defense actually made it difficult for Leverkusen to score goals, apart from the fact that in that match Musso also appeared quite impressive with several crucial saves he made throughout the match.

It depends on whether or not Xabi can maintain his players and consistency.
The new season is just around the corner and we should also expect a drop in form as the new season will have new targets, especially with the Champions League coming up next season which we know is the biggest competition of all as it features the best clubs in their respective domestic competitions but it will certainly be an interesting competition.

Hopefully Leverkusen won't have the same problems that Napoli had in Serie A this season after they won the Scudetto.  Talking of coaches at th moment there is the name Kompany who is rumored to be the closest to moving closer to Bayern but that could be a blunder where we know that Kompany this season did not manage to maintain a good position in the EPL and even his club had to be relegated .

The final results of the Play-off in the first leg are:
Bochum 0 vs 3 Dusseldorf

Bochum was unable to take advantage of this opportunity to stay in the Bundesliga, so this defeat became stronger and took them to Bundesliga 2. Yes, because it would have been quite difficult for them to get 4 goals in the second leg. This time alone they were hit with 3 goals. Especially later in the second leg when playing away. That's pretty dubious.

It's time to wave goodbye to the bottom 3 clubs of the Bundesliga: Bochum, Koin and Darmstadt. Actually, I'm a bit surprised by Koin's performance this season, it's really bad. Even though last season they weren't this bad, they were able to finish in 11th position, actually it wasn't that bad. However, this season, they have wasted a lot of opportunities and the start of their game at the start of the season was also quite bad.

The defeat with a big score at home certainly strengthened the assumption that the second leg Bochum would not be able to provide a strong resistance. Apart from that, Bochum performance was very bad in today match where they were not able to score a single goal even though they had many good opportunities. I also think Bochum will play in Bundesliga 2 next season where they really wasted opportunities in today's match.

For Fortuna Düsseldor, of course, winning with a score of 0-3 in the first leg will give them more freedom for the second leg match later. Of course they have a bigger chance of winning the second leg because Fortuna Düsseldor will play at home.

With the way things are going forth for Bayern Munich it is not brainer that they definitely have an internal problem which they are yet to solve completely even though they parted ways with some of the club officials. The biggest mistake was the untimely sack of the current German head coach Julien Neglesmann, who to me was the perfect fit for a club like Bayern. Tuchel who they shouldn’t have announced to that they are considering sacking is now looking to leave even as Bayern Munich is making moves to keep him as feels betrayed. Now Bayern who many have rejected for personal reasons are looking to confirm Komapany as head Coach, this is a very tricky job at this stage for him, because he seriously lacks the experience to head such a big team. But should this come out true then I will give it to Bayern Munich for spotting a talent. Kompany actually is a great potential who if he masters his craft will bring back good days for Bayern.

Bayern Munich falling of the radar is still not I imagine now even though eras come to an end but this Bayern Munich team looks like a club that can still challenge.

Leo is resting.

Bayer Leverkusen also didn't expect this to really happen even though they were just one step away from lifting the UEL trophy but unfortunately they had to experience their first defeat by the Atalanta club which in fact according to everyone Atalanta is not a club that is strong enough to beat Bayer Leverkusen but for me this defeat making Bayer Leverkusen realize that there are still clubs that can beat them even though their performance is quite impressive.

At an important moment like this, Bayer Leverkusen should have won the match instead of trying to perform optimally in the domestic league when they had already won the title. They should have focused more on preparing for the match against Atalanta. Their unbeaten record seemed in vain because they did not succeed in winning the treble winners.

Now with the current situation most chances we are having Bochum into Bundesliga 2 with they are trailing by 0–3 at home and Düsseldorf in complete control which is good for them.

Even having good ball possession is not helpful for them with they are having only one shot on goal and things are completely in favor for the visitors which are going to have their first season in Bundesliga after four years stay into Bundesliga 2.

If Bayern Munich can't hire a proper coach/manager, no doubt Leverkusen may dominate again Bundesliga in the next season. But sure, we don't ignore other teams such as Dortmund, Stuttgart, and Leipzig. These teams also have the chance to win the title of Bundesliga in the next season. Moreover, if the performance of Leverkusen can't be as consistent as the previous season. After seeing Leverkusen performance in the final Europa league yesterday, I'm a bit worried they won't perform as well as this season anymore.

By the way, it seems Bayern Munich still doesn't decide which manager to replace Tuchel's position. The latest news we heard, Bayern Munich wants to hire Kompany as their new manager. I don't know what Bayern Munich is interested in Kompany, I see no great achievement of Kompany for this season. He is the manager of Burnley but this team ended in the relegation zone in EPL. It is quite confusing whay Bayern Munich wants to hire him. I don't think he is better than Tuchel. Among the candidates of the next manager of Bayern Munich, I think Kompany is the worse option.

Look at the stats of Kompany as the manager below. I think it is not quite convincing to choose him as the next manager of Bayern Munich.

Would have posted in the paid Bundesliga pool but it's now closed with the season ended... except for me nothing ends until we know who is here to stay next one! Or is there truly no interest from anyone here about poor old Bochum? Wink

And with that, Bochum had my vote in tonight's first-leg playoff -- and they look worth their call, except they conceded a goal from Dusseldorf's sole attempt, and then after that the game looks to be more balanced. Please don't let them win! Not that either are really very good to be part of next season's elite...

Of course, the situation for Bayern is not the easiest now, but they still have a great team that was able to show that they were in no way inferior to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals and I think that they were even better, so the situation is not such that the new coach will have to fix everything with from the very beginning, he will just need to improve some aspects with motivation and defense. I am confident that Bayern will be able to find a worthy candidate, especially since now the choice of coaches has become better. Maybe Pochettino?

Leverkusen can create a fantastic record this season, and I think this season will be a difficult season for them to forget because this season is the first time they have become champions in the Bundesliga with a record without defeats too. Xabi Alonso really made this club play extraordinary, despite their failure in the Europa League because they lost in the final match.

Next season they will be in the Champions League, and actually that's what I'm looking forward to. Even though we have seen their defeat this season for the first time, it still makes me curious about what they will show next season. Next season they will also get new ammunition, because I think Xabi Alonso also needs some additions to his squad to be even stronger. We'll see what they are like next season, whether they can show like this season, but I hope so.
Usually when a strong team that rarely lose, but they're lose in important match, their performance will keep declining and become mediocre (see Liverpool). Maybe Leverkusen will follow Liverpool's path since Leverkusen is one season wonder team, black horse team really rare can being consistent for more than one season (see Napoli).

The upcoming match DFB Pokal is against weak team, so Leverkusen will not have any problem, we will see their performance in friendly match.

But it seems, if for example Bayern Munich doesn't get the right coach next season, then maybe Bayer Leverkusen will still be able to win the Bundesliga trophy again next season. Yeah. Bayern Leverkusen experienced a painful defeat in the final stage of the Europa League by Atlanta, which is what everyone did not expect, but at the same time, Atlanta also deserves this. Even though Bayern Leverkusen have been unbeaten throughout the season, that should not be a reason why we will not give another club a chance of winning the league title. Although it was very surprising that Bayern Leverkusen were unable to score even a single goal, that’s a disappointment for them.
~

It should have happened sooner or later, but it’s a shame that it happened in the Europa League final and generally two games before the end of the season. We could have witnessed the establishment of an eternal record - an entire season without defeat (it seems that no one has ever achieved this at the top league level), but one game ruined everything. I think Bayer will win the game with Kaiserslautern, but this victory will taste bitter.

This was quite a disappointing result for Leverkusen because they had to end their unbeaten record and that happened in the final which meant they failed to become champions of the Europa League this season. They also had to lose by a fairly heavy score of 3 goals without reply, so that made them suffer a painful defeat in this match.

This is something they have to fix, because now it seems that other teams are also aware of the weak points that they can exploit, so Atalanta is the first team to be able to do that. I think other teams will also learn what Atalanta did in this match so that they will apply it when they face Leverkusen next season.

Is there anything wrong with Bayern Leverkusen's performance, or is there any weak point that needs fixing? NO. For a team to play a full season with their full performance throughout the season and be unbeaten shows how good such a team is, so Bayern Leverkusen only failing to win this match does not mean they have some weak points, and they did not show any of it obviously, so I’m surprised that you said other teams will know their weak points. I can only say the game was not by their side this time around, and that’s why they lost the trophy.
