There is no doubt that Guardiola is a fantastic coach. He is a living legend. On the other hand, we know Kompany's history. Kompany previously coached Burnley. And we haven't seen Burnley improve with KOmpany. Rather, we have seen a further decline in Bunnley's performance. The team failed to qualify for the Premier League. And that's why we have enough doubts about Kompany's ability.

But if Kompany can succeed with Munich, the Bundesliga will no doubt become more competitive. Stuttgart, Leverkusen and Dortmund will also compete for the title this season. We have never seen so many teams fighting for the title in the Bundesliga.

Bayern has been having a difficult time to convince a great coach to sign a contract with them and I think this is the first time I have ever seen that Bayern's offers got denied by so many coaches in one summer. Nobody was really interested in working with them and then another problem is that the number of top trainers is very small. Klopp is gone, Guardiola is working with City and Ancelotti with Real Madrid. Who else is there? I know some say that Mourinho is good, but seriously his time is over it seems. There is a handful of very talented coaches, but all not of that level that Bayern was used to for a while. They had van Gaal, Heynckes, Guardiola and Ancelotti. All of them are great and true authorities with their own character.

Nagelsmann got kicked out despite the fact that they initially planned the future with him, but Kahn and Salihamidciz decided to sack him for very questionable reasons. Tuchel never got along very well with the team let alone the bosses. Tuchel isn't made to get along with people. That's another problem, but it works for as long as there is a lot of success.

Now they are stuck with Kompany and the problem with signing unexperienced coaches is that the players' acceptance is normally lower. But you need players to accept the coach on the highest level. All the other great European teams to at least have someone who has been more or less doing well. PSG has Enrique who won something, Real Madrid and Manchester City, no need to talk about it. Arne Slot is an exception, but at least he reached a Europa League final and to be honest, Liverpool had no chance to find a replacement for Klopp.

Now I am excited to see how Bayern will be doing and as soon as they lose two games in a row, I hope you get your popcorn out.

St. Pauli couldn't score any goal home against Heidenheim on the first week. This makes me doubt both teams to score option. Union Berlin to win seems more trustworthy than that.  Grin
Yess, although Berlin is indeed quite double to be optimal, but the fact is that they can finally get a memory, even though a score of 1 goal. Win is still a win. And this contributed 3 points. and, Hollerbach is the main hero for the club for this victory.

Source: Union Berlin vs St. Pauli

Not too bad, even Pauli dominated the match, more than 57% ball possession, did several shots. It's just that indeed, one of the weaknesses of the club like them is the accuracy of the shot to the goal, because this can also be related to mentality as well.

Bayer Leverkusen actually did deserved the trophy as their performance did got them earning it, they didn't get to loose it to Bayern Munich who has always been the regular winner of the league title, Munich cannot always be the winners, at some point we should be expecting to see something different too aswell as that gets the league more interesting and desiring for people to watch and enjoy the league as supposed than just having a particular team winning all the time and making the league not having some kind of suspense and anticipation for which people should look forward to.

Seriously had Bayern Munich won the trophy last season then it would have confirmed to me that the Bundesliga was a real farmers league, last season the Bayer Leverkusen team were exceptional and they deserved to win just every single trophy they were participating in but regardless of their performance last season I think for two seasons now the Bayern Munich team were not themselves and they needed a very good team to dethrone and the two seasons ago their were looking to lose the league not until the new Bayer Leverkusen comes. Dortmund were just not better and lost the league at the death. Now with a new head coach i expect Bundesliga is going to challenging for even Bayer Leverkusen and the rest

You can never say that Bayer Leverkusen stole the cup from Bayern Munich. Yes, we know that Bayern Munich has been the best champions of the Bundesliga, but that doesn’t mean they will be the Champions. As you can see, Bayern Munich's performance is very poor considering Bayer Leverkusen's performance last season, so I will see no point in your discussion because if a league has no competition, then what are the many reasons for the league and how will it be interesting for us to watch it because we are used to seeing a single winner? But even this season, I don’t have more doubts that Bayer Leverkusen will be the winners of the trophy this season again.
Bayern Munich didn't steal the German Bundesliga from Bayern Munich because they won the league with a high margin. Bayern Munich have dominated the German Bundesliga for 9 consecutive seasons before last season that Bayer Leverkusen ended their dominance and that I think has made the German league more interesting to watch this season. Winning the league without conceding a defeat saw Leverkusen to become the first German club to achieve that. A lot of people are of the opinion that they'll still retain the league this season but in as much as I think it's absolutely possible for them to achieve, I think it'll be more difficult to win the league this season than it was when they won it last season.

Bayer Leverkusen you mean kindly edit:

Bayer Leverkusen outplayed Bayern Munich last season and won the league comfortably with more than 3 matches left to play, Bayern Munich dominance in the league can not be forgotten in a hurry because they were always the favorite for the past 9 season of their reign before Xabi Alonso took charge of the Bayer Leverkusen team and gave Bayer Leverkusen the league trophy with an outstanding performance which saw them become champions without losing a single game.

There are more chances for Leverkusen to retain the league than Bayern Munich because they still have the quality players that won the league with team and the coach understands his team properly now unlike the Bayern Munich team that has a new manager and some new players that will likely take some time to adapt to the performance of the team.

I don't feel like you. Dominating the Bundesliga is more difficult for Bayern Munich this season. Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Dortmund are in good form. On the other hand, Vincent Kompany is yet to stabilize his squad. Although Bayern Munich won the match against Wolfsburg, Munich conceded two goals in this match. I look forward to seeing Munich's performance against the big teams.
Totally agree with what you said and I will also see how Bayern Munich plays when hosting Freiburg at the Allianz Arena because the Freiburg team has also been able to win in their first match this season and is also ranked first in the Bundesliga. So I think the next match for Bayern Munich will definitely be quite fierce because Freiburg is also not a weak team in the Bundesliga although I don't think Freiburg can win easily at the Allianz Arena later. Because Bayern Munich will definitely try hard to win at their home ground.

One game and one win for Bayern Munich is all they have so far during this season however this won't be enough at all to say if Bayern Munich is going to have good times with Kompany or not because they are still at the start of the season and nothing is clear yet about their situation in the end of the season.
I think if Bayern Munich wants to keep racing with other teams like Leverkusen they need hard work because unlike Bayern Munich, in Leverkusen they had a super stable team compared to the last season.

The performance of Bayern Munich in the one game they played shows a lot of determination of the team to win matches, if you observe very well in the game the Bayern Munich team were losing in the game unlike what we saw last season where they find it difficult to always equalizer when they are a goal down but they came from behind to equalize and still managed to get the winning goal before the final whistle.

The team has recorded their first win in their first game which is a welcome development it is left for the young coach Vincent Kompany to learn from the performance of his previous game to know the things to improve in the team since he will have so many mountain to climb in order for his team to be able to take back their lost glory.

This may be based on dissatisfaction with the selection made because Bayern were too hasty to appoint Kompany as coach when there were still several other options that could be considered.
The main reason is yes, because from Tuchel to Kompany. And based on Kompany's experience as a coach, he has never managed a big club before, so many doubt his ability. What Kompany needs to do is to prove, by winning every match of Bayern Munich in Bundesliga, at least, that's it.
Experience may be an important situation but in the end looking at the examples of Tuchel last season and Xabi at Leverkusen we must realize that sometimes experience cannot have a big impact when there is no match between the coach and the philosophy of the club.
We can compare the experience of Xabi and Tuchel last season because speaking in terms of experience of course Tuchel is much better but in the end Xabi's fit with Leverkusen made Tuchel even invisible last season because the focus was only on Xabi who had an extraordinary performance from the work he did at Leverkusen.

Likewise for Kompany at the moment because if only experience becomes the main benchmark but he is not given more opportunities because we doubt him too much it is also a situation that I think is not right so in this case we must be wise and give Kompany the opportunity to prove himself this season with Bayern.

Bayern Munich have incredible players, players that are capable of handling the Bundesliga title without the management from the headcoach, these players knows exactly what to do and how to handle their oppositions. We're talking about highly enchanced players with experience, they know what to do and how to execute goals for the club.

Vincent Kompany learned from Pep Guardiola during his playing days in Manchester City. I could remember vividly like it was yesterday, taking instructions from Pep Guardiola since Vincent Kompany was the captain, he ensured he cope with the pattern of the coach and also led his teammates. Manchester City are the best team in England but we're not talking about them in this section. Vincent Kompany is Bayern Munich coach and he has always spot light towards these elite clubs. I could stand firmly and say Vincent Kompany is a prominent coach for Bayern Munich and he will definitely take them to elevated positions this season, it's just a matter of time before we see the good work of the new coach.

Leverkusen and Bayern Munich are completely different. The Leverkusen squad lacks star players. So it was a bit easier for Xabi to control the players. The players respected and trusted Xabi. And perhaps that's why we saw such great performances from the Leverkusen team last season.

I am eager to see the performance of Leverkusen this season and it was breathtaking to see them resume the season with the energy of victory. They won their first game and seems to have gotten prepared to win tomorrow's game too. I see the coming of Leverkusen as a jinx breakers and as a club that's prepared for big things. The club knows how to manage the resources they have effectively to achieve good results without necessarily needing the effect of a star player within the team. I see them as the Germany in club side as they seem to work same way as the national team did in the past.

so I think the trophy has been stolen by Leverkusen, so as you said and we agree the Bundesliga this season feels much more interesting with the presence of new competitors who can shift Munich's dominance, we as bettors will be more selective in choosing the champion candidate this season, because the Bundesliga looks much more competitive.

We have what matches for the end of August, it seems quite interesting to bet by taking some teams to get a win in betting.
Interested or not this is my choice:

  • Stuttgart
  • Wolfsburg
  • Monchengladbach
  • Dortmund
  • Hoffenheim
  • Bayer Leverkusen

The possibility of a draw match in the Monchengladbach and Bochum match, the same match that I still doubt the victory in the Hoffenheim match against Eintracht Frankfrut. Roll Eyes

I still do not trust Komoany with  Bayern Munich. Not because he’s a bad coach, but because he has not had any experience with such a big club ever before.
It is natural if you still doubt the coach because in fact experience can be the biggest influence for a coach to be able to bring his team to a higher level. But we also have to give the coach a chance to prove it first. Because a coach like Xabi who has no experience whatsoever can also bring Leverkusen to win the bundesliga title.

Bayern Munich is a team that has a lot of star players in their squad. And star players are a little harder to control. And for this it requires an experienced coach. We can look at the PSG squad as an example. A few seasons ago, this squad had the world's best players like Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. The squad had many star players. But did we see the expected good performance from this team? If there are more star players in the squad, I think an experienced coach is needed.
I somewhat agree with you, but I don't really believe this is always the case here. Take you for instance, Barcelona under the management of Pep Guardiola as a coach , they had star players like, Lionel Messi ,Iniesta, Xavi and Pique, Bosquet, Dani Alves, mascherano, and even Puyol if I'm not wrong, all under Pep Guardiola as Barca coach all were obedient to Pep as at the time,  personality of coach plays an important role regardless ,

I will say that Leverkusen was able to win the trophy because it was very well deserved. So I don’t think we should actually say that they stole the Bundesliga title. If Bayern Munich was unable to perform well, it’s their fault.
Leverkusen last season had a very stable line up and was more consistent than before. While Bayern Munich always failed in terms of maintaining its consistency when still with Tuchel. But this season we can't predict who will be the strongest candidate for the title holder this season.

Quote
I actually can’t decide if I should say that Bayern Munich should concentrate on the Bundesliga alone or they should concentrate on both the Bundesliga and also the Champions League competition. Because there is a very big chance that if they are actually concentrating in the alone they can win the Bundesliga title. But if they are concentrating in both the Bundesliga and also the Champions League, they are unable to win either of them. So they will have to make a choice here.
Regarding how Munich will arrange the strategy, it all depends on the ability of Vincent Kompany who is responsible for the future of the Munich squad. If the coach is indeed able to pursue titles in 2 different competitions, there is nothing wrong with trying. But I agree more with your opinion that it is better for Munich to focus on fixing the problem of defensive weaknesses and can regain the reputation that was lost last season. On the one hand, I am also not sure Vincent Kompany can rotate perfectly to pursue the UCL and bundesliga titles.

It can't be confirmed that easily, the league journey is only one week and Bayer Munich has only played one match, and in the match against Wolfsburg yesterday they were quite difficult, if there was no own goal it might have ended with a draw in yesterday's match.

Vincent Kompany needs to improve their skills, and because of that they can't relax, because it seems that the situation has changed and other teams are also getting stronger, Dortmund and Leverkusen are also still in the same zone which is always a strong challenger for Bayer Munich, they must remain aware of that if they want to win again.
Kompany should pay attention to the defense, their attack has always been at a high level, but the defense has been the biggest problem. Kim and Davis did not have a very good match against Wolfsburg, so far I do not like the defense in this form, and I hope that Kompany is not going to count only on a strong attack, because Wolfsburg is not the strongest team, but they could not contain even their forwards.

When Kompany was still a player, Kompany was basically a defender and thus, at least made Kompany understand more about making a good and strong defense. Moreover, Bayern Munich has players with good quality in its main squad and thus, it is certainly a must for Kompany to be able to make Bayern Munich's defense even better to get clean sheets  more often. Because if Bayern Munich is able to have a strong and good defense, then maybe it is certain that Bayern Munich will be able to dominate the Bundesliga again.

But, about other teams I think at this moment there is also nothing that looks better. Because after all, although teams like Bayer Leverkusen also won in their first match, but the fact is that they are also difficult and need greater efforts to get their first three points in the previous match. Therefore, I think at this moment it is still uncertain which team has a better chance and also, the league has just started and ofcourse there will be many bad events and result that they will get throughout this season.

While that is true, Bayern has never been a team that benefited more from their defense than from their offense. I know that the team scored loads of goals in so many seasons and sometimes the defensive performance was a point of contention. I know there is this saying that the offense wins games and the defense wins titles, but nobody wants to see a Bayern team that is overly focused on their defense. It is an important part of the game, but Leverkusen won the title with their offense last season because I argue that their opponents were so busy defending that it was hard to take the initiative for them and attack. That's why you could see it both ways.

I don't know how important it is what position Kompany played during his career. It can be a good strategy to emphasize the defense for some teams of course, like Atletico Madrid usually does it. But you see that it doesn't work as well anymore. But when you have these players like Musiala, Gnabry, Olise, Kane and Davies with his high pace, then you can't be too defensive during the game. Being very strong attackers is part of a strong defense as your defense doesn't have to do as much.

Union took the lead now, but St. Pauli has more ball possession although they can't turn that into chances. For Union it would be a great early season so far and for St. Pauli a big failure, but still one half to go.

Bayern Munich can not relaxed because there are tough opponents in the Bundesliga, talking of Bayer Leverkusen, Borrusia Dortmund and many others. Bayern Munich had a flopping form previous season and this time, they've to put in the work for the purpose to stand strong against any oppositions that cross their path. Vincent Kompany doesn't need to be worry about his team because the available players knows basically what to do inother to win matches. It's definitely going to be a win-win for the Bavarians this season.

If Bayern Munich try to dominate both the Champions League and Bundesliga this season, it will become more difficult for Munich to secure the Bundesliga title. We still don't know if Kompany can succeed.

Therefore I say, to know how Bayern Munich is performing there is no other choice but to follow its development. with kompany, we do not know if he can bring Bayern Munich to the top of the table until this competition ends. what is certain, Bayern Munich's players have known their gameplay. Kompany only needs to mix it, so that the team he handles can achieve the performance he wants. besides this is just the first week, I am sure Kompany has homework to fix. especially the problem in the back line, besides that some midfielders are not in their best form. one example is Joshua Kimmich. plus, Kane has not shown his ability like in his first season scoring a goal directly in the first match. which means, Kompany needs some adjustments for his players. what I mean, this is related to his tactics. I will not discuss Bayern Munich for the Champions League first, because we have not seen how far they work. several other teams mentioned in this thread won full points, but Leverkusen and Bayern conceded two goals. as for Dortmund, like other teams, their long-term performance is not yet certain. well, for me everything is still grey. Nevertheless, as a giant club in the German League, Bayern will definitely target trophies every season. At least, for the Bundesliga.

To Kompany, it might be an opportunity for Kompany to take on a big job to manage Bayern Munich and that is one of the reasons I feel he takes it seriously, i dont think the trophy was stolen by Leverkusen, the title is what Leverkusen actually worked for and Bayern wanting to reclaim makes it more interesting because even Dortmund is fighting seriously for this trophy too, and Leverkusen have tested glory and how it feels to be the champion so they won't also let go that easily. and if it is for the ucl then Bayern won't succeed because even when Dortmund made it to the final they were still unable to win. the experience he will get still does not grant him a chance in the ucl when Madrid and Manchester City are there so he needs to learn first before he can be able to make his dream come true. they want to win the Bundesliga by all means and they are putting in energy but sometimes it is more than energy there might be energy but no consistency, a lot is on the line now and when the season gets serious that is when we are going to know who is going to stay, now is not the best time to decide.
