Well, the truth is that it is something very impressive, because I personally have always said something, Leverkusen made history in the Bundesliga, and that is something that cannot be taken away from me
Leverkusen made history in both Bundesliga with a perfectly complete unbeaten season but their season is not perfect by this defeat in Europa League final. No three titles, no perfect unbeaten season in all competitions when they only have 2 last matches to get it.

Anyway the final ended, the unbeaten streak was broken, a title was lost but they will still have one last match, one more final match to play and get one more title. It's interesting to guess how Xabi Alonso and his players will return next season and will they make another shock next season in Champions League.

Quote
what happened with Atalanta left me impressed, and it is for my job that I couldn't even make a strong bet, because I wanted to make a good bet in favor of Leverkusen, I Couldn't do it, but this is an example that you have to work hard, this team was surprising in every way

Atalanta 3-0 Bayer Leverkusen: Goals, highlights and report – Europa League Final 2023/24
Gasperini is more experienced than Xabi Alonso and this defeat of Leverkusen reminds me how Xabi Alonso failed last season in Europa League when he faced with Jose Mourinho. Xabi is a very talented young coach but he still need to improve a lot to win in knock out matches like this.

Gasperini has a happy ending with Atalanta because he will leave Atalanta after this season. Rumor says he will be appointed as a new coach of Napoli in coming days.

What do you guys think of Leverkusen getting a proper beating from Atalanta and ending their 51 games without a loss streak? Will this affect their performance next season? Do you consider them to be the favourite to defend their title (if no major changes to the team are made)?

I think it was a sobering reality check and a signal that they need to continue working hard to repeat their success and nothing will be given to them for free. There was almost something magical about their undefeated streak, especially given the 3 recent 90+ minute equalisers, which could create an impression that there's some higher power behind them preventing them from losing. They might have believed it a little bit too much and got a cold shower.

Atalanta 3-0 Bayer Leverkusen: Goals, highlights and report – Europa League Final 2023/24

Quote
Atalanta secured a first European trophy in their history with a dominant 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League final at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday night and ended the Bundesliga champion’s unbeaten run in all competitions this season.

Attacker Ademola Lookman stood out on the night by scoring an astonishing hat-trick for the Serie A club, but overall it was a near perfect performance from all wearing the Nerazzurri shirt in Ireland, as the German team suffered their first loss in 51 games.

We already knew he was going to leave Bayern Munich. Tuchel joined Bayern Munich to help this team have better performance during the Champions League because of the experience he had in Chelsea the Champions League and that is why they used this coach. But the fact about Tuche was about the bad performance he had in Bayern Munich made them lose the Bundesliga title after ten years of winning it.
On the other hand, Tuchel had a bad relationship with many players in Bayern Munich and this made Bayern Muhch to stop working with this coach.
Winning Champions League is not easy and we can see how long Real Madrid waited to win their Decima, the tenth Champions League title. It takes Real Madrid 11 years to get only one more Champions League title, from 2001 - 2002 season to 2013 - 2014 season. Tuchel could do his job bad and not as good as Bayern Munich expected from him but they must be realistic too, it's not easy to win Champions League.

List of Real Madrid's Champions League titles.

They possibly made a good decision to stop working with Tuchel because with his bad relationship with many players, it's hard for him to work with these players and improve Bayern Munich performances next season.

That move might be possible but in the media, I see more talks about Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich or Rodri from Manchester City. The first might be a good option since his contract will expire in one year in Bavaria while Rodri seems to be hard to pick since his contract with Man City will expire in three years..
I think that Real Madrid will tend to pick another player from Germany to continue with the good vibes in the midfield Wink
It's not enough just to bring in Mbappe, it turns out that Real Madrid is also interested in bringing in the best German player. Florian Wirtz is the best player in Germany this season. He is a midfielder who has contributed greatly to Leverkusen. He provides many goal opportunities and helps players create opportunities. He really deserves to be crowned. as the best player this season in the Bundesliga. Real Madrid is interested in him, meaning Real Madrid must buy this player at the price agreed by Leverkusen because it seems like Leverkusen is willing to sell this player considering his improving performance and will get big profits if he sells this player to a big club like Real Madrid and it will be a matter of pride for Florian Wirtz if he plays for this big European club.

Even though he sold his best player, Xabi Alonso has to look for other options to bring in a good midfielder to replace Florian Wirtz because if Leverkusen doesn't recruit better players, their performance next season will be affected because they will be competing in the Champions League and of course with more difficult competition in compare European League Xabi Alonso has to recruit players who will perform well next season and hopefully he makes the right choice.

Nothing surprises here. People were underestimating atalanta with its parking bus combined with high pressing. Look at how lookman destroyed leverkusen with decent scores. Bayern leverkusen is playing so badly against high pressing strategy from gasperini.

Atalanta has very good resources to play defensively and high press. The strategy used by leverkusen is just getting countered back by gasperini. Atalanta has been showing very good high pressing against leverkuen. They deserved it.

Other club can copy and paste atalanta's strategy in order to beat leverkusen with their xabi ball.

It's only happening when leverkusen faces the bundesliga team. Things may be different when it was facing a club how to counter it like atalanta. Congrats for all of atalnta bettors. You guys got decent return from betting on atalanta.

I understand your point about Harry Kane's luck, but Bayern's difficulties arent his fault. The guy is killing it in his debut season with the team. He leads Bundesliga scoring! This is no easy feat for a rookie player to the league and organization. After years of dominance, Bayern losing the crown is frustrating. Kane's injury against Real Madrid is disappointing. I dont think it means he's cursed. Football sometimes works like way. Kane should prioritize his recovery and return stronger than ever. Perhaps he'll lead England to Euro 2024 victory!
I don't know friends, we don't know what really happened to Bayern Munich at this time which suddenly their performance dropped drastically, even in the last 10 seasons I see if Munich has never experienced a slump like what happened this season, Kane who has been the top scorer at Tottenham came at the wrong time, so indeed he was linked to the failure of Bayern Munich this season which is considered by Kane as a player who has zero champions,  For now we cannot deny this assumption if indeed Kane is not able to lead Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga next season, next season is an opportunity for Kane to break all bad perceptions from fans towards him by winning the trophy with Munich.

Not only at the club, Kane also had bad luck in the England national team because he had never won a championship, and this season reportedly Kane also regained a place in the national team squad, but I think it seems that Kane will miss a long time and will miss euro 2024 due to his injury, reportedly Tuchel before being sacked he has confirmed,if Kane will be absent due to his severe injury and of course it is very detrimental to the England national team which will soon be Compete at Euro 2024.

We already knew he was going to leave Bayern Munich. Tuchel joined Bayern Munich to help this team have better performance during the Champions League because of the experience he had in Chelsea the Champions League and that is why they used this coach. Real Madrid actually has very good options. Maybe Germany or any other country, it doesn't matter, they have a very important trump card in their hands and that is that they are Real Madrid. The subject is Real Madrid, and when a transfer offer comes, every player accepts it. Therefore, the option here actually lies with Real Madrid. Of course, they may want to choose players with fewer years left to avoid paying transfer fees, but their priority is success, so they can also pay a lot of money.
Exactly, it's better to be at Real Madrid than to go to Barcelona. We can see that some time ago Barcelona had economic problems and it really disrupted the performance of the players at Barcelona. Real Madrid managed to become champions this season, so if you want to have an even better career then Real Madrid should be the best choice. But we also have to look at the ages of these players. because I'm sure Real Madrid will also consider this because age can have an influence on the performance of the players.

The Europa finals played tonight is going to serve as a pointer to Madrid and I'm sure it will help them become even much more aware of what should be expected, I know Dortmund wasn't the team that played the finals but then it was a German team that has held a very crucial record this season and that alone was supposed to be a reason they should be the winner LS but then it appears they were surprised which I'm sure Madrid wouldn't want to suffer same fate.

Just like Leverkusen, Real Madrid has got the good squad, has aswell got the records a d all that will bring the odds in their favor but that alone isn't enough to get them the trophy so they will need to understand that the worse can happen just the way it happened to Leverkusen even with all their strength, game and all they have gat, this will propel Madrid and Dortmund to a better preparation for the finals and hopping for the very best. Dortmund having see what Atlanta was able to do even when most persons didn't believe they could achieve this much and all attention was given to Leverkusen.

Dortmund will be fueled to do better in the champions league they could be the next surprise of the season just like Atalanta just did but then Madrid knowing all this wouldn't slack at all and would definitely be on their toes and making sure everything is in place to keeping them ahead so we are to expect an exceptional action fills finals in the champions league as the German team takes on the Spanish side.

I want to collect how many people predicted the final match of the UEFA Europe League wrongly? Because, for me, the results were quite surprising and unexpected. Yes, even though Atalanta is not a small team, looking at the situation, they really deserved to win. Atalanta can play very effectively. Meanwhile, Leverkusen, as usual, but this day, when it is being in a very crucial match and special momentum, they just played the ball without being able to score a goal. Poorly like this.

Leverkusen has failed to maintain their unbeaten record. but, I also still appreciate of their achievement this season. because they are progressing significantly, surprising most people, and now the final result is also surprising.

I guess you mean correct in your sentence not collect, check so you can edit your work you can possibly avoid typographically errors by previewing your works before tapping the post button. I believe most people including me predicted the outcome of the Europa League finals to favour Bayer Leverkusen because of their performance since the beginning of the season, they were very brilliant from the starting to the end of the season in the league winning the German league with an unbeaten record and playing unbeaten from the group stage of the Europa League till the finals. Most people saw the way they had great come backs as a very good opportunity that they are going to win any team they play against and they had a favourable odd against the Atalanta team to so that made a lot of football lovers and bettors to see them as the team to win but the reverse became the case as Leverkusen suffered their biggest defeat this season against Atalanta by conceding 3 goals without replying.

Leverkusen unbeaten record has been broken but they have tried to get to this level and they will not give up easily as they will have another opportunity to play in their cup finals hopefully they get victory.

To be fair, it was immediately clear that it would be a difficult season for Bayern - based on how poorly they played the season before and based on how Leipzig beat them in the Super Cup. But everyone thought that against the backdrop of a weakened Bayern, Dortmund would be able to push them off the throne at the second attempt and everyone was waiting for this duel, but in the end Bayer became the new dominator, not Dortmund, which generally took 5th place.
Stuttgart's rise is also surprising, because last season they were also close to the relegation zone.
Everything related to the competition for trophies and Champions League zones, the breaking of Bayern Munchen dominance, Leverkusen impressive performance, other setbacks experienced by Dortmund, as well as the involvement of Stuttgart and Leipzig as teams that disrupt the competition, leads us to the conclusion that the Bundesliga is no longer as boring as last previous season. The complexity of the competition that occurred this season has kept us all entertained, the reason is none other than because Leverkusen appeared and tore down the axis of competition that had formed between Bayern Munchen and Dortmund in the last decade. There is no longer a “Farmers” League with Leverkusen dropping the “Neverkusen” nickname, and personally in my opinion, this has been a most interesting and very historic season.

Of course, no one expected the 2023-2024 edition of the Bundesliga to end and leave behind various records, which were recorded by Leverkusen, and which will definitely be very difficult to compete with in the following seasons. Meanwhile, regarding next season, we certainly hope that this kind of competition for the trophy will also be repeated next season, with Leverkusen defending the title and all the other Bundesliga contestants fighting to win it. Overall the competition in the Bundesliga has increased to become more competitive, not just because of the breaking of Bayern Munchen dominance, but the presence of Leverkusen as a whole has changed many things in the Bundesliga this season.

I remember (or rather, I’m thinking about this moment in retrospect) the moment when before the Bayer - Bayern game everyone thought that now Bayern would put the upstart in its place and continue to dominate, but in the end Bayer won 3-0. And even after that, everyone was waiting for the moment when Bayer would get tired and Bayern would take its toll. If you look back now, such expectations seem naive and unfounded (except for “historicity”). And now, when everyone is waiting for an interesting next season and the fight between Bayer and Bayern for first place, maybe this is a mistake? If you look at the trajectory, Bayern has been in a downtrend for the second year now; there are no guarantees that they will come out of the crisis next season.

I believe that we are going to end up with something that will benefit us, we are not going to really see Leverkusen give up on the cup, neither europa neither. What matters is that Tuchel is gone so next season Bayern could build a team just to win against Leverkusen. The thing is, if Leverkusen plays this well again next season, then it doesn't make sense and yet I think it is going to be quite obvious that they are going to win again. What they did this year was insane, not lose a single game all season long, how can you beat that?

You can be as good of a team as you want and yet if the other team does not lose a single game then there is no way that you can do better. I hope to see a good rivalry next season as well, it makes the league so much more fun.

Xabi Alonso is undoubtedly the best coach this season.   He has done a great job with a mediocre team like Leverkusen.   The Leverkusen team has yet to face a defeat this season.   Despite having a mediocre squad, this team's performance has been very strong. The team is consistently performing well against the big teams.

We have only seen Leverkusen dominate this season in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen's points gap with Bayern Munich is 18. The Leverkusen team is going to face Atalanta in the Europa League final tomorrow. And Leverkusen will play against FCK in the DFB Pokal final on May 26.   Leverkusen is more likely to win both matches.
Now in last two years, we are having new generation coaches which are making their mark into soccer world specially here in UEFA as competition is never been easy, but they are doing their best and Xabi Alonso is having historic success like he won first ever Bundesliga title for Bayer Leverkusen with undefeated mark which is never been imagined by anyone in last few decades we are having few other good and big names which are doing their job and having good success but as he has done surely he is going to be had good around soccer world for long time Mikel Arteta is also having good name, but sadly he is not having success like Xabi Alonso which is now one of the best for the next few years and things could be also in all control if he is going to keep things at this level.

Bayan Muni have spent a lot of money this season and they have spent a significant amount of money to bring quality stars to their club but they have not got the desired results this season. To be sure, Bayern Munich have failed in all the tournaments this season but they have shown signs that they can do better. They had weaknesses this season, they will definitely work on those weaknesses next season and if they need a quality player in their club, they will definitely hire quality players first. leverkusen were consistent from the beginning to the end of the season and they lost no match. On the other hand, Bayern Munich have lost some matches and drawn some matches and there they have fallen far behind in their league competition. Hopefully next season bayan munich will definitely be serious from the start of the season and they will secure the title next season.

Florian Wirtz has been given the Player of the Season award in the Bundesliga. I'm really happy for him because it is a fully deserved one.  Smiley
I fully agree on that , he played a very nice and good season at Leverkusen and also the last games in the National Team.
About a sign to Real Madrid in the next year i guess it can be possible after todays announcement from Toni Kroos that he will be end his Career after the EM.
Would be sad for the german league and Leverkusen but Wirtz would be fit into Real Madrid and he can be gettinf another big german player.

Florian Wirtz has been given the Player of the Season award in the Bundesliga. I'm really happy for him because it is a fully deserved one.  Smiley

He completed the season with 11 goals and 11 assists and played a huge role in winning the title. He is only 21 years old you know and his market value is already over 100 million euros. Leverkusen chairman once said that Wirtz would stay for at least another season. However there are already rumours like Real Madrid is preparing to sign him for 2025 summer. They are really not satisfied with transfers.  Grin  They want to bring every talent to the team.
Such talented player at that age coming to Real Madrid is a big deal. He has a high market value and if Madrid really wants him, they can afford to buy him in the summer. However, if i would suggest i would love that Florian remains in Bayern Leverkusen for at least two seasons there are more the club can win and going to the UCL with this strong team i believe they will do great in the UCL next season.

Anything that would make Real Madrid retain their UCL champ and also in their title in the LaLiga is what they won't hesitate to do. From buying young talented players and managers.
Florian Wirtz is such a talent in new generation German soccer who is having good quality and skills which can help his club and country for long time even right now things are going perfect for him with most chances he is going to stay here for some more years because currently Real Madrid is having too many quality players with Kylian Mbappé is going to have his first season which will give how things will work for them so if we have another impressive season life this surely he could be going to have his value like we have few top players which having good mark in soccer in last few decades.

I am not sure as currently they are having squad they need to sign him in near future with most chances after 2 or 3 years things can take change, and we can expect anything can happen but right now Bayer Leverkusen is having good approach about him with they are stick about his future is here.

Leverkusen has done incredibly well this season. When we thought this was going to be just another Bundesliga season and Bayern Munich would be able to win the Bundesliga title without any problems, Leverkusen has been able to win the Bundesliga title and also are on their way to winning the Europa League title and also the DFB Pokal title as well. Just for context, the team which has finished second is Stuttgart and they have lost seven matches. And the team which is known to terminate the Bundesliga, the team which has been able to win the Bundesliga title for 11 years straight, Bayern Munich, has lost eight matches this season. So that’s how good Leverkusen has been in this season.

I have to say I love the Harry Kane memes. That guy went to Bayern Munich from Tottenham to farm some Bundesliga title and he got slapped by Alonso and Leverkusen.

To be fair, it was immediately clear that it would be a difficult season for Bayern - based on how poorly they played the season before and based on how Leipzig beat them in the Super Cup. Harry Kane cannot be blamed and it must be admitted that Leverkusen's performance under Xabi Alonso this season has been quite impressive so they have managed to break Bayern Munich's dominance.
Due to what happened this season, Bayer Munich must immediately recover, but I think that with all the problems they have, it will not be easy for Bayer Munich to recover in the near future, especially since Leverkusen is in top form at the moment.
So currently the Bundesliga is more interesting and I think that is better for the development of the Bundesliga teams.
Unlucky Harry Kane who was looking for his first trophy and having transfer from Tottenham to Bayern Munich having another disappointing season with few major things gone against him first we have Bayer Leverkusen at his best under Xabi Alonso with secondly we have a big mistake from Bayern Munich sacked Julian Nagelsmann who was doing impressive job, but they were not happy which hurt this team badly, and now they are ending their season with their 13 years lowest performance.

With this all we are still having good time for him and Bayern Munich to win trophies in coming years because things can take another change and this could be helpful for them for having win and trophies next season could be much better and competitive for them because now we are expecting challenging performance from the Stuttgart and RB Leipzig which are consistent in this league and improving their performance for staying into top spots.
