So two of the potential title contenders, Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart with 0-0 draw against Werder Bremen and 3-3 draw against Mainz respectively.
This could be an early sign the the real fight for the championship will be between Bayer and Bayern.
Bayern is playing Freiburg at home, Freiburg finished in the middle of the table last season, so anything other than an easy win for Bayern will be a disappointment.
Leverkusen is playing against Lepzig right now. After half an hour, we have a goalless draw, but Leverkusen is dominating with shots on goals, so might find their way to the net eventually.

I personally can't be sure the competition will only be for Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen after the draws that happened for Dortmund and Stuttgart because anyway, from the beginning I personally only thought the competition for the Bundesliga trophy would be interesting. Because after all, Bayern Munich who are still in doubt due to Kompany's quality is also a doubt and also, Dortmund who managed some great players especially about Guirassy who might make Dortmund's attack line will be better. Also,  although Bayer Leverkusen still has the same quality as last season, but basically to defend the title is not easy at all.

With reasons like that, then I believe the Bundesliga competition this season will be very interesting. So, about the draws obtained by Dortmund and Stuttgart for me cannot be used as a benchmark for the acquisition of the trophy this season because they will also still have the chance to get more results throughout the season. After all, the fact that Bayer Leverkusen also lost and this defeat for me is also not surprising because after all, in the previous match against Monchengladbach also the fact that Bayer Leverkusen almost only got a draw.

This season won’t be easy for Bayer Leverkusen as people are expecting, they had a perfect season last year and they have started to suffer defeat from their second opening Bundesliga match. Although there are signs that they will not do that well this season during their preseason because they were not performing to expectations, and for Alonso not to sign some quality players that can give the squad more encouragement, I think it will make work difficult for himself this season because he will be playing in the Champions League also.

I will
Be expecting Bayern Munich to seal another win tomorrow to top the Bundesliga title so that Leverkusen and Dortmund will know that Bayern Munich is back.

And yet they lost to Leipzig. Yes, the undefeated streak is over, but I doubt they are incredibly upset about that fact. It's definitely frustrating to break such a long streak, but they have every chance to win the league again at the moment, despite the fact that the coach himself doesn't believe in such a thing. They fought to the last in today's match, and they didn't lose with a rout. As for Bayern, with such a total advantage in the game, they should have ended the match with a difference of 5 or more goals as it was earlier, but no, they barely won the game

I just don't understand how it happened. I had a bet placed on Leverkusen win & over 1.5 goals. But now we see this comeback and a 3-2 loss... I would never expect Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen to lose a game to Leipzig from a 2-0 score advantage.  Sad

Of course nothing is guaranteed in football. Anyways, Leverkusen should have played as good as the first leg. I don't know maybe they got complacent. But actually I thought Leipzig's last minute goal in the first half would be enough for them not to feel complacent.

This is good news for Bayern Munich. I assume they would beat Freiburg home right?  Tongue  After seeing this result I started to doubt that one too. This is why I won't place a bet on Bayern Munich win. I would prefer goal bets.

The season we all await for is finally here and Bayern Leverkusen still has continued their unbeaten record last season on the German Bundesliga side, the question will now be, would they continue this journey until the end of the season? Like the way they went unbeaten last season, I doubt. However, nothing much has really changed as regards to their performance, and I haven't seen any sign of weakness to not win their next game.
It won't be easy for Leverkusen and I'm sure they won't be able to do it again this season because Bayern's team has improved quite a bit so it will be a threat for Leverkusen.
And also this week Leverkusen will face a tough opponent, RB Leipzig is a team that is difficult to beat so I think at the beginning of this season we don't need to exaggerate or measure Leverkusen's strength like last season, I'm sure there will be a difference compared to last season for Leverkusen and also other Bundesliga teams.
Against RB Leipzig this week I think Leverkusen's percentage to win is not that big.

Bayern won a close game against Wolfsburg and this isn't best proof to know that they improved. What are the reasons that you think they have improved?

Saying that Bayer Leverkusen won't do it again means what, becoming the champion or not losing a single game? Leverkusen is quite the same team as last season. There is no reason to think they would be weaker than last season. You are confusing the basics here.

Against RB Leipzig it is going to be a tough test for them and I think it is the best time now to see where they stand. If they win this game, it will give them a whole lot of confidence for good reasons.

It has never been easy for Bayer Leverkusen to win their games but somehow they have found their out, I don't know if you could recall, last season they actually had so many cases of when they to play and hold up till the very last minute and for so many they came through and that's exactly what they are going through in this game and I know they can still pull this off even if it's the 90+ mins mark.

Bayer Leverkusen appeared to be one of the top clubs that's promising for the the Bundesliga title this season. This is really going to be an amazing season for Bayer Leverkusen but following the desperate formidable form of other clubs, there chances of winning the league title have been compromised. However there's no need to panic because Xabi Alonso will reinforced his squad with tactical changes that would be helpful for the club. This season is completely different and there's plenty opportunities to be given for these elite clubs including the average clubs.

What did you see about Bayern Munich that makes you feel they have improved? Where did you watch them play so much better than last season that makes you believe they have improved?
I don't think either of Bayern or Leverkusen has shown that they have improved, both teams started the season the same way they ended it, in good form. They both won their games narrowly and they both played well even though they had to wait till very late in the game to get the winner.

I believe this season is going to be more competitive between these two than last season, but for now, judging by what we have seen so far, there is no clear favourite based on performance.

how Bayern Leverkusen has started this season, I believe they will go unbeaten again since they are doing so well. I am looking forward to their match against Leipzig because they are dominating the game. And as for Bayern Munich, they have improved under the new coach and have not lost any of their matches. So I believe you can predict who will win the league right now because it is only in its early stages, so let's see how the matches go. Dortmund I believe will do better than Munich this season because of how they performed in the Champions League last season, and I believe they will focus very well in the league and win, because it has been a long time since they won the league trophy, and Bellingham came in and performed admirably for the club, but they still failed to win the league, and he recently moved to Real Madrid, where he accomplished everything. Dortmund, as I see it, has many problems. This season, I believe Munich or Leverkusen will remain the favorites for the league crown.

Early on Leverkusen encounters some fierce competition. Bayern seems more robust, while RB Leipzig is typically a difficult nut to break. Let us not yet count Leverkusen, though. Their staff is strong, mostly the same one that did in previous season. Their weakness is not consistency. Last year, they showed us they could go toe-to-toe with anyone.

Speaking of Bayern. They did indeed beat Wolfsburg, but it was a close one. Lets have them compile a couple more victories before we name them champs. Leverkusen depends critically on this next game against Leipzig. One could consider home field advantage as a real game-changer. A win there would convey a statement and provide the impetus they require.

It is indeed difficult for Leverkusen to be able to repeat the same success as last season, which is unbeaten in all Bundesliga matches.
Leverkusen this season is still as strong as last season, but several other Bundesliga teams have also increased their quality so that it will be difficult for Leverkusen.

Bayern Leverkusen made it known to all teams in the Bundesliga that winning the title can be done by any team irrespective of the team name or history whatsoever. They made it known that with quality players and consistency in the league matches can win you the Bundesliga trophy. I am not expecting them to repeat what they did last season either, but I know they’ll be major contender for the league title this season too.

Quote
However, for the match against Leipzig this week, it will not be easy for both of them, but I think Leverkusen is still the favorite because they will play at home and also at the beginning of the season like this, we still find it difficult to measure the real strength of the team, so for Leipzig it is still unclear whether they can be better than last season or not, so for me I think holding Leverkusen is still quite feasible.

Going by the strength of both teams from last season to the few matches they’ve played in this season, Bayern Leverkusen stands the better chance in this match. If they’re able to put in the efforts required in this match, they’ll win the match easily. Leipzig is not a small team in the Bundesliga too, so while foreseeing Bayern Leverkusen to win the match, let’s not forget that Leipzig could pull up a great performance and may likely hold Leverkusen to a draw or win

One of the most interesting matches this week, which brings together defending champions Leverkusen versus Leipzig, in my opinion the match will be troublesome for both teams. We realize that Leverkusen is still in a positive trend, they continue their unbeaten record in the Bundesliga, although last week Xabi Alonso squad had to go through a dramatic match to secure full points. Leipzig is not an easy opponent, Xakha and his colleagues must not be careless, because Leipzig has the power to make a surprise. On paper Leverkusen can be favored to win the match, especially since the match will be held at the BayArena. However, Leipzig could make Leverkusen steps stumble, and stop Leverkusen unbeaten record.

https://www.aiscore.com/id/head-to-head/soccer-bayer-leverkusen-vs-rb-leipzig
From the last 5 meetings, Leverkusen was able to win 3 matches which happened in their last 3 matches, while Leipzig won 2 times. However, the meeting record cannot necessarily be something that will happen, but what is different now is that Leverkusen has become a stronger club now, so that makes them more trusted to be able to win.
The match has just started, both clubs are still looking for their best form in this match. What I want to see is whether any of them can score a quick goal or not. If that happens, I think the match will be more interesting.

Bayern Munich is one of the best teams and they have good quality star players and good players in every position but Leverkusen doesn't have known stars but this team is well balanced in their respective positions. If every position wasn't strong, they wouldn't have won a tournament like the German league last season without losing a match. In the same season we saw them perform best in the Europa League although they lost in the final but it was not a big deal. This season Bayan Munich and Leverkusen are tough rivals but Bayan Munich will be ahead in this season according to my prediction.
The way you are appreciating his performance, Byron deserves it.  Because their players play hard and fast and win matches.  That is why everyone speaks of their strength.  And I also call them a good team.  Leverkusen can also become a team now so they can get stars if they work hard.  And if they succeed in that, Bayern and their competition will be very strong and interesting.  Everyone writes a win in Byron's favor, and he should.  Because they are doing well this season and winning matches.  Well, the competition will be tough, Leverkusen can also win the match, so they have to speed up and score more goals first, then they will win this match.  But I also write a win in favor of Bayern Munich.

It is difficult to repeat the performance without losing with a long duration for Leverkusen but at least it should not be a benchmark because what they should pay attention to at this time is not the record without losing but the performance that must remain stable in order to compete in the race for the trophy this season.
And with the current conditions of course this is still a big hope and the possibility can still happen for Xabi because even though several other clubs began trying to improve the squad but in the end the cooperation and strength of Leverkusen still showed a positive thing so this is certainly a good thing.
Today's match in the second week they will have a big match and of course this is something very worth waiting for. But indeed Leverkusen's chance for 3 points is still open for today's match, moreover they will have the confidence where they play home, which of course this can be maximized to boost their enthusiasm in front of thousands of their own supporters.

If we look at which team is the most luxurious in the Bundesliga, then I would also choose Bayern Munich as the team with the most luxurious squad. But the question is, can a luxurious squad bring success? Then the answer is not necessarily, it depends on how they perform. And sometimes teams that have a luxurious squad but they have solid teamwork are the ones who will achieve success. I take a real example from the team that won the title last season, namely Leverkusen. Do they have a luxurious squad? In my opinion, no. It's just that in terms of their game they are more balanced because they have good teamwork.

Maintaining the unbeaten record they recorded last season will not be easy for Leverkusen, it is not impossible but it will be very difficult. Now their opponents are also aware of Leverkusen's strength and they will be more motivated to beat Leverkusen. It is common when a team that is considered very strong will make its opponents more motivated.
But talking about whether they will be able to defend the title, I think it is easier than maintaining a winning record. Not to say it is easy, but when compared to maintaining an unbeaten record, it is a little easier.

yes you are right leverkusen is still a candidate club for the title and so far they are still consistent in their game, the players are still the same as before as well as the coach, there is no pattern of play that has been changed by xabi alonso. leipzig can be counted on in this game but if the opponent is leverkusen the chance to win is slim, most likely leipzig is targeting one pawn even though it will be difficult because leverkusen will not want to share points other things leverkusen's brilliance last season I doubt they can repeat it there is no guarantee for that especially some bundesliga clubs are also getting stronger so there must be a club that surprises and beats leverkusen this season.

1x2
Leverkusen- 1.72
Leipzig- 4.50

This match is going to be interesting because this is a match between the defending champion of the Bundesliga and the team which is almost all of us in competition for the Bundesliga title. Well at least stays in the top three or four consistently, I am talking about Leipzig. This is going to be a big challenge for Leverkusen to win because the opponent is not easy. It will be very interesting to see if Leipzig will actually be able to Understand and find the flaws in the tactics of Alonso because we have seen in the last season in the last match Europa League that Atalanta was able to absolutely destroy the tactics of Leverkusen.

At the same time, Leverkusen is the defending champion of Bundesliga and they are definitely not going to take it easy on their opponent. I don’t think it makes sense to actually look for head to head comparison because Leverkusen has been a totally changed team since the last season. Before they were not as good, not even close

I actually can’t decide if I should say that Bayern Munich should concentrate on the Bundesliga alone or they should concentrate on both the Bundesliga and also the Champions League competition. Because there is a very big chance that if they are actually concentrating in the alone they can win the Bundesliga title. But if they are concentrating in both the Bundesliga and also the Champions League, they are unable to win either of them. So they will have to make a choice here
The opportunity to prove that Kompany can be consistent with Munich in two events at once this season could be realized considering that this is still the beginning of the journey, but with the new format implemented by the UCL this season, it is considered that it will make it difficult for several clubs including Bayern Munich itself because the number of matches that must be played is increasing, this could damage the concentration of the players or coaches. So like it or not, Kompany must often rotate players to minimize injuries in this dense competition because if not done, it could disrupt the increasingly competitive Bundesliga competition, so in my opinion the best target is the Bundesliga trophy and that should be Kompany's main choice.
