This season won’t be easy for Bayer Leverkusen as people are expecting, they had a perfect season last year and they have started to suffer defeat from their second opening Bundesliga match. Although there are signs that they will not do that well this season during their preseason because they were not performing to expectations, and for Alonso not to sign some quality players that can give the squad more encouragement, I think it will make work difficult for himself this season because he will be playing in the Champions League also.

It has never been easy for Bayer Leverkusen to win their games but somehow they have found their out, I don't know if you could recall, last season they actually had so many cases of when they to play and hold up till the very last minute and for so many they came through and that's exactly what they are going through in this game and I know they can still pull this off even if it's the 90+ mins mark.

I don't think either of Bayern or Leverkusen has shown that they have improved, both teams started the season the same way they ended it, in good form. They both won their games narrowly and they both played well even though they had to wait till very late in the game to get the winner.

I believe this season is going to be more competitive between these two than last season, but for now, judging by what we have seen so far, there is no clear favourite based on performance.

It is difficult to repeat the performance without losing with a long duration for Leverkusen but at least it should not be a benchmark because what they should pay attention to at this time is not the record without losing but the performance that must remain stable in order to compete in the race for the trophy this season.
