Eintracht Frankfurt chances competing with Bayern Munich for the top standings are still open, but the chances are too low, I think Leverkusen is more reliable in the future. Eintracht Frankfurt statistics this season are much better than last season, they have managed to increase the productivity of the number of goals scored and press the number of goals conceded. However, to be able to finish in the runner-up position or even become a trophy challenger, Eintracht Frankfurt needs to work harder in the future.

In the last decade Eintracht Frankfurt has never finished second in the Bundesliga standings, but if they are able to improve their performance, I think Eintracht Frankfurt will be a team to be reckoned with. In my opinion, Leverkusen should bring in new faces in the second half of the season, new strength can at least increase their chances of continuing to approach Bayern Munich's points, because I see Leverkusen's current players look mediocre, especially in defense, so far Xabi has not been able to strengthen that sector. Only a few players can be relied on on the field.

I agree on that if you want to defend the title or get it again you must have beat nearly every team specially the smaller ones.
But exactly the smaller teams are the one where a lot of top clubs are having there problems and this you have in every league.
A lot of teams have got there struggle against Werder Bremen and also Bochum.
On the other side there still so many games to play in the german league and a lot can be happen there.

In first half of this season, we have strong mentality of the Bayern Munich with some results and inconsistency from their opponents which give them advantage and top spot in league table now as we have only two games left before break things could be on same level we will not have any changes in top spots but as we will be entered in second half of the season things could be more realistic and better because few teams surely need to have players which will bring improvement into their performance even I strongly believe we will be having not big surprise as we will be having Dortmund into top four but on which cost it's not sure while all will be challenging till end of this season and no team will give up with Bayern Munich is surely strong for the title race as they have much stronger squad and consistency.

Yes, only one point, so it will not be difficult for Bayer to reduce this gap, there are already 7 points between them and Bayern, which will be much more difficult to reduce and so far I think that Bayern will not allow this to happen, because the level of opponents in the Bundesliga allows them to feel comfortable. Eintracht Frankfurt has developed well this season, even after some of their core players left in the last transfer window. IMO, besides Frankfurt's players performing well, it seems they are not too burdened with targeting something this season. they don't even spend much by spending a lot of funds, even some of them are loan players. Omar Marmoush has performed brilliantly this season, he is one of the players who is productive in scoring goals. his tandem Hugo Ekitike can work well together as a front striker, he has scored 7 goals from 12 matches. even though as we know, Hugo Ekitike's performance at PSG is not that prominent. so far Frankfurt is a threatening team for other elite teams who are targeting to finish in the top four of the Bundesliga, they are also able to complicate the pace of the opposing teams. as for Dortmund, they still have to fight hard to improve their performance in order to overtake the teams that are above their ranking. unfortunately it is not easy, they have a fairly tight schedule. As for Leverkusen, slowly but surely they are threatening the position occupied by Frankfurt. The reason is, the two teams are only one point apart. Which means, at any time the standings table can change every week. And the safest is Bayern Munich, although only six points away from the team below. But so far Munich has remained consistent without defeat, they also have a high chance of winning the Bundesliga trophy again.

The difference here is that Bayer Leverkusen are capable of handling most of the big teams in the bundesliga whereas the same cannot be said about Frankfurt and at such it would be very easy for the Leverkusen side to suddenly overtake Frankfurt soon enough as the season progresses. Frankfurt's inconsistency will be a determining factor and an advantage for Leverkusen who might take advantage of Frankfurt's mistakes this season to go above them because as it is right now in the bundesliga, the only team that can compete favourites against Bayern Munich is the Leverkusen side.

That's what I mean, Munich lost the chance for DFB Pokal. But they still have another opportunity for the Bundesliga and Champions League, although they have to try harder.
While Leverkusen got another chance in the DFB Pokal and Champions League, Every team is trying hard to beat their rivals and for the glory of their team.
Munich still has a very big chance for the Bundesliga, something that was very difficult to get in the competition last season because of Leverkusen's dominance. And this season they are the ones who hold the dominance, hopefully, they can be consistent.

Leverkusen could be an obstacle for frankfurt in terms of competing for a better position in the Bundesliga standings this season, although they are currently above leverkusen, but honestly  it will be a very difficult job for them to maintain their position from leverkusen at this time, because to doing so they must immediately improve their consistency which so far is still unstable,  they have lost two and drawn three of their 13 Bundesliga games this season, so although they seem to be a team that could pose a threat to Munich in the league, but I don't think they are ready to challenge for the title with Munich although if they has show their best form this season.

RB Leipzig surely have poor run as they lost 5 games and have 1 draw but now in last 2 games we have changed, and they are on winning streak even situation is still not favourable as they are going to host Aston Villa and Frankfurt in coming days then in last game of this year they will visit Allianz Arena Munich which is also not easy, but they are trying to pick momentum and have their performance back which will give them boost even all is not easy but at least they are doing their best.

We have no point for them in Champions League, but they are doing good in Bundesliga and DFB Pokal which is good point and things could be surely back in good while they will try to play aggressive which is their trademark and this strategy surely going to help them.

Can Frankfurt compete with Bayern Munich for the title? I think Frankfurt will not. Frankfurt is currently in second place in the points table. However, Frankfurt is 6 points behind Bayern Munich. Since Bayern Munich's performance has been very consistent so far, it will be a much harder task to reduce this 6 points gap.

It is true that Frankfurt is playing well. Frankfurt players have been able to score 33 goals in 13 matches. However, Frankfurt's defense is a bit weak. Due to this, Frankfurt has lost points in a few matches. However, if Bayern Munich does not lose points, then there is no chance of Frankfurt taking the top spot in the table.

I cannot really vouch for Frankfurt at the moment due to their inconsistent run so far, though it seems like they are the team that poses some threat to Frankfurt in the league right now and they haven't been their best this season compared to previous seasons when they were in good form, but maybe they might just put their house together and start getting the right result but I still do not see them as a potential threat to the leverkusen side, at least not at the moment.

Bayern Munich is primarily concerned with the league and the Champions League, which is why I believe Leverkusen have benefit from the possibility to defeat them in the DFB Cup, but I am confident that if it were the league or the Champions League, Munich would not provide Leverkusen with the opportunity to defeat them in the competition. In that DFB, he will be very difficult if not Xabi Alonso will win the Cup because they have the possibility to defeat Bayern Munich in the cup, and I don't think they can find any club in the DFB competition that will beat Leverkusen since they are currently the best in the competition. And in the league Munich has overtaken and will continue to do well in the league and be getting more gap in the league table, that even they lose any point they will still be leading the league table. Bayen Munich is facing Shakhtar donetsk tonight and am sure that game will be a soft game for Munich because I don't think shakhtar donetsk will get opportunities to defeat Munich.

We should not just look at the current Bundesliga standings and say that Leverkusen's performance is bad now, let's look realistically at Leverkusen's strength this season and I think there is no difference between them, it's just that Leverkusen started this season a little bit badly so they are behind Bayern in the Bundesliga standings and look at the last few matches that Leverkusen has risen and has found its top performance again.
I think the competition between Bayern Munich and Leverkusen in the title race this season will be much fiercer and Leverkusen must still be watched out for and also favored.

Such a plan could be born on Leverkusen's side if the team has more funds to get involved in the transfer market in January and what you said is also quite reasonable that it is not Leverkusen who have declined, but rather it is more about the rivals in the Bundesliga who have been able to read Leverkusen's tactics themselves this season so that Leverkusen looks a little difficult to improve like they did last season. Yes, the transfer market will provide an opportunity for Alonso to buy some players needed so that Leverkusen can perform well. I am not saying that Leverkusen's performance is bad. But compared to last season, Leverkusen did experience a decline in performance. But they managed to beat Munich in the DFB Pokal which means they have managed to eliminate one of their toughest rivals to win the title. So far, Leverkusen has also performed quite well in the UCL by being in 6th position in the standings which means they will qualify directly for the next round.

I agree with you however Leipzig is not an easy opponent for Eintracht Frankfurt especially this match will be held at the Red Bull Arena which is Leipzig's headquarters so it will provide its own advantage for Leipzig, this club needs 3 points to regain its position because Leipzig has lost several points lately, most likely there will be a change in position in the top 4 later if Leverkusen wins against Augsburg and Leipzig wins against Frankfurt, Leverkusen is in second place then Leipzig and Frankfurt will have the same points.

Leipzig situation is very bad right now with five losses in row in European competition. Because they are playing so poorly it is very unlikely they will be able to make it to play off round even if they win their last three matches. At this point best thing for Leipzig to do would be to focus on Bundesliga where they still have chance to finish second or third which would get them spot in UEFA Champions League next season. Unfortunately Leipzig performance has been getting worse after strong start to season. In their upcoming Bundesliga matches against best teams they will probably need to be lucky to get good results because way they are playing now suggests they will probably lose.

5 match with 5 defeats is really bad result, Leipzig has lost the opportunity because to enter the play-off round is impossible unless Leipzig is able to win the remaining 3 match but that also will not guarantee to enter the play-off round.
What Leipzig must do is just focus on the Bundesliga competition and they can get runner-up or top 3 and get ticket to UCL next season, Leipzig performance so far has really seen decline after at the beginning of the season they appeared with full confidence, for the two Bundesliga match that will face the top team only luck can give good results for Leipzig, without luck they will only suffer defeat.
