It's very true that to whom much is given, much is also expected, and to be honest, that is the exact situation Vincent company find himself, because with the calibre of players at his disposal in this Bayern Munich team, everyone is expecting him to be successful, and anything short of that, will be term a failure followed with an eminent sack .

While as for xabi Alonso, right now he has nothing to prove because he has earned all the accolades he is getting right now with the achievements of last season, and if the performance of his team declined this season, and they decide to sack him, he wouldn't be short of suitors, I can bet on that.
The big demands are always carried by any coach who handles a big team like Bayern Munich. Kompany is still doubtful to be able to bring Bavarian back to become a champion, but so far he has been quite successful in mixing the team with a series of wins. I don't think Kompany will be fired for this season regardless of the final result. Unlike Alonso, he has made a brilliant record with Leverkusen.
Like how Kompany was able to get the players in Bayern Munich blend in so fast with his pattern and making tremendous success with every game he has played so far is something worth noting. However, it doesn't change a thing with how he performs all through the season without giving Bayern Munich the Bundlesliga trophy because that was the job he was called up for, so if he fails he's definitely going to be sacked unlike Alonso who could be considered to be given more time base on the grounds that he had done it ones and could repeat it if given the chance.

Alonso will certainly be fought over by other teams if he steps down from the coaching chair and I am also sure Bayern Munich will also be willing to use his services.
There's a high chance Bayern Munich may wanna do that but I have doubt Xabi Alonso will want to remain in any club in Germany should he leave Leverkusen because I can see from the look of things how much passion he has for his present club and wouldn't want to remain in the Bundlesliga with another team but would rather want to test new waters outside the shores of Germany to leagues like the Spanish Laliga or English Premier League.

Augsburg vs Mainz

Augsburg (confirmed lineup): Nediljko Labrovic, Maximilian Bauer, Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Keven Schlotterbeck, Marius Wolf, Dimitrios Giannoulis, Kristijan Jakic, Frank Onyeka, Elvis Rexhbecaj, Ruben Vargas, Samuel Essende.

Mainz (confirmed lineup): Robin Zentner, Dominik Kohr, Moritz Jenz, Andreas Hanche-Olsen, Anthony Caci, Philipp Mwene, Kaishu Sano, Nadiem Amiri, Hyun-Seok Hong, Armindo Sieb, Jonathan Burkardt.

Augsburg and Mainz have begin the fourth match of the season, they just had three matches, Augsburg have only a win, a draw and one defeat while Mainz haven't win any, secured 2 draw and faced one defeat, and tonight they are playing away game and Augsburg will not like to be disgrace by Mainz to secure their first win of the season, with this I think Augsburg will play harder to secure victory tonight.
The match is currently 2-3 and the temporary victory is still led by Mainz 05, this match is quite interesting and suspenseful, although the match was controlled by Augsburg but could not catch up with the goal that Mainz 05 got, unfortunately I think if Mainz 05 does not play nicely with 10 players because of the red card that Nadiem Amiri got will be a disaster for Mainz 05, it looks like the current match for Mainz 05 is tightening the defense to defend the game.

The match was tense and Mainz 05 had already secured their position to get the victory, and this match was quite hot because the two played quite hard and each of the players received a red card, namely Nadiem Amiri from Main 05 and Samuel Essende from Augsburg, and now playing with 10 players from each team, it was very funny.  Grin

It seems that even though the current situation has the same players Mainz 05 prefers to maintain its position, they do not make meaningful attacks, defending to get a victory is the choice taken by coach Henriksen, although the possession of the ball is 70% controlled by Augsburg at this time they are very difficult to penetrate the fortress of Mainz 05 defense.

You are right. Any wrong move by Vincent Kompany will bring back all the criticism he had before the start of the Bundesliga competition, because nobody expects he will be able to perform like this. Although we know that he has good players under his management, everybody was doubting his coaching skills, but he later did not disappoint.

I think Komapny will do everything to see that he gets the Bundesliga title this season so that he will remain relevant in the club as the manager, because seriously, if he fails, I also doubt he’s staying. I was even thinking it will take him time to develop a strategy that will suit the players, but no, Vincent Kompany makes everything possible in a shit period of time. I think Bayern Munich is already back to their normal form.
From the look of the players performance, it shows that they have improved a lot under Kompany but I still will not believe that they are cvery strong to the point of winning the league and that can be judged when we are in the middle of the season.

It is not that I am against Kompany brilliant coaching skills but I feel that it might be hard for Kompany to come from nowhere and win Bundesliga this season without having any challenges.

There is only one match in the German Bundesliga tonight. Augsburg are playing Mainz 05. Augsburg started the season badly. But they beat St. Pauli in their last game. They had serious problems in defense in the first games. They conceded 2 goals against Werder Bremen and 4 against Heidenheim. On the other hand, Mainz 05 looked like a more balanced team. But they too conceded very easy goals due to their defensive problems. After drawing in the first two weeks, they lost to Werder Bremen in the last week. I will bet on both teams to score in this match. Both teams made critical mistakes in defense in the last games.

According to the stats you’ve given for both teams, it seems this match should be watched upon on a neutral basis. No team seems more powerful than the other team and it clearly shows that any team that is able to put in better performance in this match will win the match. Both teams are not a team that are so powerful, so their game may not be that entertaining to some people and they won’t be a lot turn up in this match. They both know they’ve defensive problems, so I think both teams defence will be tight today and they’ll easily take advantage of each other if any defensive line falls to allow the counter of another team penetrate into them and succeed.

Leverkusen are returning to the Bundesliga with a really improved morale after a huge 4-0 win over Feyenoord. I'm sure it will reflect on their next game here against Wolfsburg home as well.  Smiley
But I won't go for a bet on any side to win that's for sure.  Tongue
I also think that the win in the Champions League against Feyenoord maybe give them strength for the coming home game against Wolfsburg.
But i guess that they even they dont have played in the CL have enough self confidence for getting the win.
Wolfsburg is in my opinion not really or should be not really a problem for them at home , i go for win for Leverkusen here.

The difference I think is because Xabi Alonso made a team that was initially mediocre into an extraordinary team especially last season, while Bayern Munich as we know they are a top class team in the Bundesliga so when Kompany makes the slightest mistake then of course it can lead to various criticisms that can indirectly threaten his future in the coaching chair, there is a difference in pressure from the two coaching situations in each team.

Speaking of Alonso, he is very skilled when handling Bayer Leverkusen, so far they have performed quite well. Alonso was able to bring a team that was initially slumped into a solid and strong team under his guidance, the peak of which was he was able to bring Leverkusen to break Bayern Munich's dominance last season. However, it does not necessarily guarantee that Alonso will be able to handle a bigger team such as Real Madrid for example, because there are many factors that can prevent the development under his guidance. The simplest case is the problem of the egoism of star players, they feel great and are not sure to obey the orders or instructions of the coach. That's why Alonso had rejected several offers from elite clubs before. Because he knows very well, not only tactics, strategies or about the system. but also the role as a boss or leader of the players, they must obey and respect their coach. Thus, chemistry and bonding will be closely connected. One example is Carlo Ancelotti who was able to become a role model for his team. Vincent Kompany, suddenly coached a team at the level of Bayern Munich. What is certain is that doubts about him are no longer foreign news to him. criticism will always come to him, especially if Bayern Munich plays underperform. but it is a plus for him, he can immediately correct it so that it can be fixed. what's great is, it seems that Kompany has gained full trust from Bayern Munich's players. and, that is a provision for him to achieve success in his first season at least the Bundesliga trophy.

It is too early to talk about who will win the title because the season has only been running for 3 matches. Bayern Munich and Leverkusen are the strongest candidates to win the trophy this season based on their performance in the last few matches. Both clubs have also just achieved great success in the UCL after beating their opponents with promising scores. Munich have been in scintillating form this season under Kompany They are entitled to top the standings after getting perfect points in three matches. Meanwhile, Leverkusen's unbeaten record last season was tarnished in the second game when they hosted Leipzig at the BayArena stadium.

Both teams have good players who understand the needs and goals of the team, they play very flexible and are able to make a difference in the match, The competition between the two will continue to compete for first place.
You forgot to mention Dortmund as one of the strong candidates to win the Bundesliga title this season. You can't completely ignore Dortmund and favor Leverkusen as favorites, while Dortmund is Bayern Munich's closest goal almost every season. Leverkusen certainly can't be ignored as a contender, but I tend to consider Dortmund a typical strong contender this season.

Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Leverksen are the three favorites in my opinion, but Leipzig cannot be underestimated. You are certainly right that it is only the start of the season and things can change quickly for each team, but usually the teams that will be dominant will emerge from the start of the season and they tend to be eager to maintain their performance compared to others.
Seems very competitive for Bundesliga tittle race in this season after Bundesliga's UEFA Champion League participants teams have very impressive performance, Bayern Leverkusen, Dortmund and Bayern Munich success winning the first match and believing with three teams have strong opportunity become the domestic league winner in this season.
I can't believing with Bayern Munich performance in this season although have lack experienced with their manager but success winning bigger score every match and recently Dinamo Zagreb over 9-2.

I think Bundesliga season 2024/25 become more interested of three teams above have consistent performance until at the last games week because last season Bayern Leverkusen easily for winning domestic league tittle after Bayern Munich as top competitor team difficult defend their top performance.

Maybe they were caught off guard against Leipzig at the beginning but just like I said, this doesn't change anything for Xabi Alonso's students. They just continue to roll... I expect no point loss before the tough away game against Bayern Munich in a week. In that game, there are just a lot of betting opportunities on the table.  Roll Eyes  It will be difficult to make a choice among them.

But I won't go for a bet on any side to win that's for sure.  Tongue

I am sure that Kompany could become a good coach eventually but he is just to new to this and that is why I feel like he is doing something that is beyond his years. He talked about how he broke them old and did more than what was destined for him by becoming this much, but that was something he did with step by step, he didn't started football at 20 years old and became Man City legend at 21 years old, he grew from kid to adulthood as a player and worked hard to do all of those, whereas he had just one year of premier league where he relegated and then became Bayern Munich manager, those are not the same things and that jump is something he has never done before which is why his confidence may help during the season but I am pretty sure that he is going to have a very tough time.

It doesn't really mean that he is going to end up with a good result just because he will have some hard time but I am sure that given enough time he will become a good coach.
This contradicts our previous assumptions in pre-season and I think everyone believed that Bayern's decision was too hasty, right? Cheesy

Now we just need to see what surprises Kompany will bring to the table in their current competition. The season has already started to take on a rigorous schedule where some of the big clubs are already faced with more than just one competition considering the Champions League has already started and smaller domestic competitions are also ready to go.

If in the end Kompany can rotate players well and be consistent in his performance then indeed this will be a very good situation for Kompany but for now he cannot be proud of his achievements because after all he still has to be humble especially the season is still very long to do so there could be an unfavorable situation later for Kompany and he must be prepared for it.

Brugge is actually not a difficult opponent for Dortmund, but Dortmund's victory also indicates that the Dortmund team is starting to develop at the start of this season regardless of the final results they get, but I highlight the Dortmund team's game under their new coach and indeed they have positive progress and that indicates that there will be an increasing performance if they can maintain their consistency.
We can't say completely that brugge isn't a really difficult team because if they should meet again, chances are that they may not get same results and that's because brugge in their domestic league isn't a small team either, they have been really optimal with their performance but Dortmund had a better strength over them in this game and actually did well too, champions League can come with many surprises so I don't see any team really small just yet.

In fact, Dortmund also did not find it easy to beat Brugge even though indeed, Dortmund managed to win with a big score of 0-3 but anyway, the fact is that Dortmund also needed great efforts to get the victory. Because after all, Dortmund also just managed to score a goal in the 76th minute and that means, Brugge may also have lost focus because they were no longer able to hold Dortmund's draw so that in the end Brugge conceded and suffered a pretty heavy defeat at home.

But indeed, apart from these results that Dortmund are indeed quite favored to win, so basically Dortmund do have a chance to get it. But with this victory also does not mean that it will make Dortmund easy for the next matches,  because there are still many more difficult matches later, because later Dortmund will also play against Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Champion League later.

Soon we will watch the Augsburg vs Mainz match which will be held at Augsburg's home ground, to be honest I really can't be sure about who will get full points in this match because after all these are two teams that are not too favored in the Bundesliga, and I also can't compare who is stronger because last season both teams finished with a narrow points difference in the bottom of the standings.

But maybe I would say that the one who has a greater chance of getting three full points in this match is most likely Augsburg because after all they will be playing at home, I think that's the only thing we can use as a benchmark to at least know who has a greater chance of winning when both teams are equally weak.

Honestly I don't have high hopes for dortmund in the champions league although it is undeniable that they will be able to talk a lot but if we talk about being able to penetrate the final party like last season I still doubt their strength.
However if we talk about the bundesliga yes they are still strong candidates who accompany leverkusen and munich to compete for the trophy but the new league is rolling they have not met each other, for now the performance assessment of nuri sahin is still positive, yes hopefully nuri sahin as a tactician can be consistent in every match and eliminate all doubts that are pinned on him.

Well, after this weekend we will already be a bit smarter as of where Dortmund actually is standing. They will have to play IN Stuttgart, which didn't look bad at the away game at Real Madrid during the week.
I think if BVB can snatch 1 point from this game they would be really happy with that. Until now they have show mediocre performances against mediocre teams. Stuttgart will be the first real test and I am actually curious how they will perform.

Somehow I got a bad feeling about this one and these feelings are often correct. For the sake of being a BVB fan myself I hope I am wrong though!!  Tongue

Nuri Sahin has managed to overcome their first challenge in the Champions League and let's see if he will be able to lead Dortmund better than the previous coach Edin Terzic?
Managed to make improvements or not, we will see when Dortmund manages to finish this season better than last season. many doubted Nuri Sahin when he was appointed as Dortmund's coach. this is still early and we still haven't seen anything wrong with his coaching. if Dortmund can still maintain the consistency of their game in the long term, surely the views of people who doubt and criticize him will change. not thinking much for the Champions League. at least they can finish this season in a better position than last season.
