Just to clear some confusion:
Leverkusen did beat the (European) record of a number of games without loss across all competitions, with a run of 51, which ended on the EL final loss to Atalanta.
But it's Bayern that still holds a record of games without loss for Bundesliga games only, which is a run of 53. Leverkusen are still going with their previous season's undefeated Bundesliga games though, which I believe is now 35, so there is still a pretty long way to go to beat Bayern's record.

And who do you think holds the current record (all competitions included)? No need to mention Celtic (and Union, I think) as they set their record streaks without playing in European competitions. The previous record was held by Benfica (which were playing in European competitions when they set their streak) and Bayer have surpassed it.

so I think possession of the ball is not something surprising for us to see so far,
but when In fact defense is a visible weakness in Munich at the moment, but  the question now is, if Munich has a weakness in defense,
then who knows what the reason is for them to sell De Light and Mazraoui now to Manchester United?
Its not only a problem with the defense the last game , its now already a problem for over an year that the defense is not really constant.
About the selling from De Light and Mazraoui its just simple to understand as they needed some Money for other transfers they wanted.
When I compare what mistakes Kim and Upamecano make or have done now and then, Matthijs de Ligt was always consistent on that.

A good start by Nuri Şahin! He is one of the youngest managers you know and I'm really curious about what he will do at Dortmund in his first year. It was a good start to the season by a dominant game against Frankfurt.  Smiley

Bynoe-Gittens stepped forward in this game by 2 goals. He is a 20-year-old winger and he must be glad to find this chance. I mean he was a part of so many games in the Bundesliga last season too. But maybe under Nuri Şahin's management, he might capture a place in the starting eleven. Malen and Sabitzer are challenging players on the wings so he will need to work hard. Anyways, I hope Dortmund stay in the title race until the final weeks too.

Bayern Munich is without doubt a threat to any opponent in term of ball possession but very lack in defense.
Their major problem in this game is porous defense and missing chances. If those chances were converted into goals, they were supposed to be up by five or more goals but so many precious chances created were wasted. It would have been better if they had kept De light instead of Kim and Upamecano because he makes too many mistakes and loses ball easily.
Bayern Munich has for sure the best and most ball possessions nearly in every game but there defense is making crazy fails.
From what i have seen in the review of the game against Wolfsburg , Bayern Munich was very lucky for not getting 2 more goals.
Kim and Upamecano are good defenders but i also would prefer De light , a shame that they let him go.
Bayern Munich started the season quite well after they managed to beat Wolfsburg this week, but it can be seen that Bayern Munich game is not optimal at the moment and in fact I think Bayern Munich is really having difficulty winning that the match, but even so of course we can't say if they  deserve to be favorites as championship, if you look at the dominance that Bayern Munich has in that match i think it is no different from the matches they played previously even when the kompany hasn't coaching, so I think possession of the ball is not something surprising for us to see so far, but when In fact defense is a visible weakness in Munich at the moment, but  the question now is, if Munich has a weakness in defense, then who knows what the reason is for them to sell De Light and Mazraoui now to Manchester United?
De Light and Mazraoui were not even playing under Tuchel lead Bayern Munich last season. There is no complete team as far as Europe is concerned. Either your are defficient in defense, midfield or attack. The most important thing is that Bayern Munich found a way to win their match and they got the maximum points. The season is just starting and so far Bayern Munich has not disappointed. So it is wise to give Kompay the credit for the job he has done so far while we are still expecting him to do more, since there is always room for improvement. It is always easy for us to see where someone is not doing well, but very difficult for us to recognize and appreciate the ones the person has done well. It is the first time that Kompay is managing a big club in his coaching career, so he can't get everything perfectly within the little time he has spent at Bayern.

I look forward to a time like this where the Bundesliga would not be a sole dominated league as it has been for many years with Bayern Munich going unchallenged. It’s always difficult to even gamble on them even as the odds are always very low, 1.2 odds and below for Bayern Munich win and at times, you find them loosing when least expected.

Bayer Leverkusen did the unexpected last season and such performance is anticipated this season with Dortmund on the side to challenge Bayern even further. RB Leipzig is one team that would have been added to the least of contenders but, even them are not so consistent.
I do like the fact that Bayern Munich is finally getting some teams trying to take over, Dortmund almost won the league one year ago, if they ended up with a win on their very last game, they would have been the champions but lost on the very last game. Last year Bayer Leverkusen ended up being the one to stop it, and this year there are two teams that looks great and honestly I see Leipzig as not that bad neither.

Bayern Munich isn't bad neither, not like they got worse for other teams to win it, they are still good but because other teams are good too we ended up seeing great games, it's a great feeling. I am expecting this league to be a lot more fun this season, and will continue to battle until the last weeks and have entertaining results.

Yes, that's right, if for example Dortmund at that time managed to win in its last match, then the Bundesliga has a new trophy winner in the last two seasons for Dortmund and then Bayer Leverkusen. But unfortunately, at that time Dortmund failed and only Bayer Leverkusen managed to get the Bundesliga trophy but with that too, it seems like this season there might be another team that has a chance to get the trophy and I hope this season Dortmund succeeds in getting the Bundesliga trophy.

Thus, the winner of the Bundesliga trophy will be different every season because at least, for now I think Bayer Leverkusen still has no guarantee of successfully defending the title. But yes, let's just enjoy the competition that occurs throughout this season, because it seems like it will also be very competitive considering Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen who could also lose in some matches later.

Exactly, Bayern Munich has a big challenge this season that cannot be underestimated. Leverkusen and Dortmund, at least those two clubs will be their tough competitors.

Especially if we look at the last match Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg, even though they won, their game was not effective and accurate enough.

Check these statistics:

Google/bundesliga-wolfsburg-vs-bayern-munich

They have 71% ball possession, but only 8 shots on target, and only 2 goals created + 1 OG

Trying t think Leverkusen and Dortmund will perform any lesser than they had done in months most recent times would be a very dangerous underestimation which may be a huge problem to Bayern Munich and I believe Bayern Munich are never going to do such because they know for sure that these guys have go their eyes on the trophy and aren't going to stop trying for any reason until they are able to get to win the trophy. Bayern Munich has got a whole lot to tackle at this point especially trying to get their stance with their new coach who's still figuring it out around the bundesliga. Against Wolfsburg they did tried but that performance isn't the type they will go against bigger teams with, even with them having the most possession, they still were able to show the perfect dominance by the score line.
Bayern Munich actually only needs to find the key that has been lost or in other words the new coach must find a way to restore Bayern Munich's consistency.
With high consistency, Bayern Munich will certainly regain the dominance that was lost last season, although it is currently more difficult because Leverkusen is on the list of clubs challenging Bayern Munich, but if Vincent Kompany succeeds in finding the right strategy, I am sure Bayern Munich will succeed in getting the title this season.
Vincent Kompany only has to continue to pay attention to every problem that occurs, including the weakness of the midfielders and the defense that must always be changed so that consistency is maintained.

I'd say Kompany should give his full attention to the Bundesliga this season. Not competing for the Champions League title. There is no doubt that Munich's squad is very strong. But Munich is not in a good position right now. The performance of the players is very erratic. Also the bonding between the players is still weak. If Munich are to win both the Bundesliga and Champions League titles, it will become more and more difficult for Munich to continue their consistent good performances.

Leverkusen and Stuttgart have looked to strengthen their squads this season. And these two teams will fight for the title. At the same time, the Dortmund team is also in a very good position. So the road to the Bundesliga title has become more difficult for Bayern Munich this season.

However, Bayern Munich have made a great start to the season and their style of play has been excellent. A great win at the start of the season which gave Bayern Munich more confidence, and they will play harder in the next matches. But it must be admitted that the biggest challenge for Bayern Munich is that they have to compete with the two teams Leverkusen and Dortmund. Bayern Munich didn't attack at all with the way they played the opening match of the season, and if they deal with that, they will certainly face challenging ones later on. So I think that since the coming matches will be more challenging, Bayern Munich will have to improve their game even more.
In general, it is true that the goal is that Bayern Munich won and this is very important for the club. However, this is also an important concern for Kompany to evaluate the performance of the players and also the strategy or tactics used. So that, in the future, their game will be much more effective and accurate. Bayern must be able to do that, the competition in the future will be much tighter.

Vincent Kompany seems to be bringing the magic to the Bundesliga like he did when he was handling Burnley in the championship and it got me wondering why he couldn't replicate the same performance when they got promoted to the premier league. Is it that the Bundesliga is not much difficult than the Premier league or was it that he didn't have good players at his disposal while he was in the EPL?
Vincent Kompany didn't bring magic to Bayern Munich, that's the natural result they got with the strongest & most expensive squad in the Bundesliga. He couldn't give his best when he was at Burnley because the leagues in England were too competitive, it was difficult to make a miracle like the one Ranieri made when he helped Leicester win the PL.
Exactly, after all, it is very different between Bayern Munich and Burnley. Bayern Munich is a big club that is already strong, has a lot of money, and many players are stronger than Burnley. While Burnley, in the EPL, their competitors are indeed tighter, and there are many strong EPL clubs. While now at Bayern Munich, Kompany should be able to have much more potential. We'll just have to see how it develops in the future.

The next week they will face Freiburg, Freiburg is currently the leading team in the Bundesliga standings, meanwhile this match will be a home match for Bayern Munich, this is where we can see how Bayern Munich will perform, bookies show the odds gap is too big, maybe Bayern Munich will get 3 more points in the next match.

Kompany has only brought one victory to Munich and even if you look at the match, Bayern Munich had to struggle to secure their victory in that match, so it is too early for us to praise Kompany performance in Munich at this time, I personally am not someone who underestimates him since he took over Munich but I also don't want to praise Kompany just based on one match at the moment, if we compare the Bundesliga and the Premier League of course there is a big difference in terms of competition, so far we know that the English League is a very competitive league compared to the Bundesliga, so every team needs a capable squad to be able to compete in the English league and Kompany didn't get that when he coached Burnley last season.
Burnley is an average club and doesn't have the classic players which Bayern Munich has. Good players is what contributes to the success of a club with a good coach. Kompany might be able to improve the performance of Bayern with time because he has professional players that are capable if he has a good game tactics and understands how to manage the players in order to bring out the best in them.

It is too early like you said to start praising or critizing Kompany, let us watch as see how Bayern performance will be like from now till the middle of the season before I will know what to say.

That happened because Wolfsburg also played very well in this match, especially for the problem of fast counter-attacks, which in the end made Bayern a little confused with the scheme they did.

Bayern dominating the game is a natural thing but Kompany's problem in yesterday's match seems to be the same as what Tuchel feels where for the problem of attack and possession of the ball they are always the same (very good) but the problem of defense which is sometimes unprepared for fast counterattacks because it is too focused on attacking it is always disastrous for them. In addition, the mistakes of the players must also be minimized because we must have seen for the process of Wolfsburg's second goal because of the mistakes of the defenders who actually became blunders for them.
But 3 points is still very good for their first match because this is a good start for Kompany.

Bayern Munich encountered numerous difficulties against the tight, resilient play of the home team. Thanks to an own goal and a goal near the end of the second half, coach Vincent Kompany's team was able to defeat Wolfsburg. Bayern's victory over Wolfsburg was not as easy and smooth as the way they exploded on the summer tour. As for the home team Wolfsburg, although they were outnumbered, their counterattacks were quite sharp.

Bayern still fell into a state of overwhelming attack and broken defense like last season.I think coach Kompany still has a lot of work to do at Bayern, one of which is to fix the defense. Bayern almost paid the price for mistakes by Sacha Boey and Kim Min-Jae. Musiala is still Bayern's number 1 inspiration at the moment. Gnabry is showing positive signs after a long period of decline.

The statistics clearly showed that Bayern Munich outclassed Wolfsburg. They had total control of the game and produced several chances but the biggest obstacle was masked goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. The Polish player made six saves denying Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane and Joshua Kimmich from scoring. Wolfsburg didn't show much class but they were good in stealing possession and using the counterattack. Gnabry.

So indeed Wolfsbrug played well and Munich was the same, it's just that Munich didn't seem to be lucky. The first match was quite good for Kompany. But this condition must certainly be evaluated, they have not competed with the top team. Kompany has to make a lot of improvements to maximize the players to be able to compete with other big teams. Indeed, ball dominance is not a measure of victory, Munich must be able to play more effectively and improve the final finish. They also have to avoid being caught in the penalty box so that there are no penalty kicks for the opponent.  Because I believe other teams will be better and have varying strengths.

This should be a sign for Bayern that this season they cannot relax like previous seasons because indeed the clubs in the Bundesliga are now increasing in quality which makes it difficult for us to predict what happens in 90 minutes of the match.

A win's a win. It shows they still have that championship spirit. Vincent Kompany is adaptable. He's a legend. And even legends require time to find their place on a different squad. Though I see this eventually strengthening Bayern, there are some issues to sort out. Dortmund and Leverkusen have sharpness. Xabi Alonso's got Leverkusen protecting the title, and Dortmund's got a new energy under their coach. For the Bundesliga this is fantastic. The league is more competitive than ever.

Folks, they must translate possession into goals. Its as simple as that. Their defense must remain concentrated for the whole ninety minutes; their offense must be more clinical. Remember that late Gnabry goal? They most require more of this kind of deadly instinct.

Indeed, there is work to be done; yet, Bayern has the capacity and expertise to win. They just need to execute their game plan.

I watched Bayern Munich game at Wolfsburg over the weekend and if I must say, I don't think it's it's something to become over hyped about considering the fact that they really struggled to get that win. Bayern Munich is still a work in progress which is why I don't think it's okay to put any pressure on the manager in his first 5-10 games in charge. I believe Vincent Kompany will improve the team now that he's getting all the backings of the club's management. The Bundesliga isn't as easy as it used to be because the other teams in the league are now fighting for the title as well but I believe that Vincent Kompany will do extremely well.
The only reason I'm yet to be particular about making conclusions on Bayern Munich is that this happens to be their first bundesliga game for the season of which they appear to still have some more time with which they can make up for these times but it's still not enough to not have an excellent start, tho they won but the performance was such a struggle which we did expected much more from them. Kompany at This time appears to still trying to get along with the Germans football pattern because he's not been in the German league before so he's going to need a whole lot of the time to fit in and become productive enough to meet up with expectations.
