All matches in the first week of the Bundesliga have finished, from the results achieved by all teams I think it went according to predictions, almost all teams that were favored at the beginning were really able to win in this first week. Of the 9 matches played, only one match ended without a winner, that happened in the match between Mainz vs Union Berlin. Despite the draw they achieved in that match, I think that result was indeed a fair result for both teams. Both Mainz and Union Berlin were able to perform well so that they were only able to share points in their first week.

I watched Bayern Munich game at Wolfsburg over the weekend and if I must say, I don't think it's it's something to become over hyped about considering the fact that they really struggled to get that win. Bayern Munich is still a work in progress which is why I don't think it's okay to put any pressure on the manager in his first 5-10 games in charge. I believe Vincent Kompany will improve the team now that he's getting all the backings of the club's management. The Bundesliga isn't as easy as it used to be because the other teams in the league are now fighting for the title as well but I believe that Vincent Kompany will do extremely well.
It was Vincent Kompany's first official match with Bayern Munich after being appointed to handle Bayern Munich this season. Overall, their performance was good in that match although there are still some notes that they need to improve in the upcoming matches. I highlighted their defense in this match, maybe they are still adapting so they are easier to break through by the opponent, but as time goes by I think their defensive line performance will be even better. With longer togetherness it will create harmony in the defensive area, at least that's what we hope.

Typical of Kompanyball, it's strong on offense, but weak on defense. It's pretty much the same as what Kompany did at Burnley, and he is now implementing it at Bayern. The defensive line has become our main issue, but I'm not sure this can be sorted out in a short time. The defensive line looks very catastrophic, especially in the center back.

Kim is a constant liability for us, and he must be benched. And I'd replace him with Dier instead. Though this is the first game of this season, we won't win any trophies if we defend like this all seasons.
Bayern Munich were saved a little by an own goal in the match even though the Bayern Munich front line already looks quite capable. But as you said, Bayern Munich still need to polish their back line as a better defense if they want to compete for the Bundesliga title this season. But I hope Bayern Munich must be able to fix the weak line before the second game of the season because Kompany must make it different in the next match after seeing the result of the first match yesterday at his opponent's home.
Vincent Kompany having been a defender in his football career as a player should be able to make firm the lapses arising from Bayern Munich's weak defense shortly in a matter of time. Frankly, It was an obvious terrible back line against worfsburg not an encouraging start for an elite team despite the victory gotten. Nonetheless, the season has just started so it's too early to escalate issues about Vincent's ability to give Bayern Munich the trophy this season. Best of luck to him as the season rolls on...

Vincent Kompany seems to be bringing the magic to the Bundesliga like he did when he was handling Burnley in the championship and it got me wondering why he couldn't replicate the same performance when they got promoted to the premier league. Is it that the Bundesliga is not much difficult than the Premier league or was it that he didn't have good players at his disposal while he was in the EPL? Anyways, a good first start for him and even though it was hard fought, three points is still three points and I'm happy he was able to get that because some teams in other leagues tend to get draws in their opening games in the new season.
It's the start to the season and the whole thing is getting competitive already; let's see if Vincent Kompany can maintain this excellent start.

Kompany has only brought one victory to Munich and even if you look at the match, Bayern Munich had to struggle to secure their victory in that match, so it is too early for us to praise Kompany performance in Munich at this time, I personally am not someone who underestimates him since he took over Munich but I also don't want to praise Kompany just based on one match at the moment, if we compare the Bundesliga and the Premier League of course there is a big difference in terms of competition, so far we know that the English League is a very competitive league compared to the Bundesliga, so every team needs a capable squad to be able to compete in the English league and Kompany didn't get that when he coached Burnley last season.
Bayern Munich opened their journey in the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season with a win at their opponent's headquarters, the score 2-3 lasted until the end of the match and was decorated with an own goal from a Wolfsburg player which made Bayern Munich superior in this match. This victory is certainly very encouraging for Kompany who managed to win on his debut managing Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, but there are several tasks that Kompany must prioritize so that his team becomes more solid. Conceded two goals was not a good start for Kompany, had it not been for the own goal in this match, Bayern Munich would have had to be satisfied with a point. Harry Kane did not score in this match, the midfield must be more active in sending passes to the front line to make it easier for the strikers to score goals, but they must also be able to take advantage of opportunities to increase goal productivity.

Bayern Munich did manage to get a win in the first match against Wolfsburg, but there is still a little concern in the defense. Munich still conceded goals and Vincent Kompany must pay attention to this because last season's mistakes were due to poor defense. Although the attack line is very strong because of Kane, all of that will not be balanced if the defense still looks weak. If we compare it to the EPL, of course Vincent Kompany should be more comfortable and free to manage Munich players because Munich finances and player quality are much better and hopefully this will be a good start for Vincent Kompany.

Exactly, Bayern Munich has a big challenge this season that cannot be underestimated. Leverkusen and Dortmund, at least those two clubs will be their tough competitors.

Especially if we look at the last match Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg, even though they won, their game was not effective and accurate enough.

Check these statistics:

Google/bundesliga-wolfsburg-vs-bayern-munich

They have 71% ball possession, but only 8 shots on target, and only 2 goals created + 1 OG

The statistics clearly showed that Bayern Munich outclassed Wolfsburg. They had total control of the game and produced several chances but the biggest obstacle was masked goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. The Polish player made six saves denying Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane and Joshua Kimmich from scoring. Wolfsburg didn't show much class but they were good in stealing possession and using the counterattack.

It was a good start for Vincent Kompany's side and the Belgian showed some level of tactical prowess. He was able to know when the match needed experienced players like Thomas Müller. The German came in with a written tactical instruction written by the coach which he passed to his teammates. The substitute turned out to be a good one because the attack became more active and Muller also provided the assist that produced the winning goal by Serge Gnabry.

This should be a sign for Bayern that this season they cannot relax like previous seasons because indeed the clubs in the Bundesliga are now increasing in quality which makes it difficult for us to predict what happens in 90 minutes of the match.

However, Bayern Munich have made a great start to the season and their style of play has been excellent. A great win at the start of the season which gave Bayern Munich more confidence, and they will play harder in the next matches. But it must be admitted that the biggest challenge for Bayern Munich is that they have to compete with the two teams Leverkusen and Dortmund. Bayern Munich didn't attack at all with the way they played the opening match of the season, and if they deal with that, they will certainly face challenging ones later on. So I think that since the coming matches will be more challenging, Bayern Munich will have to improve their game even more.
A crucial victory for Munich after initially falling behind Wolfsburg with a score of 2-1 and finally they managed to get the victory thanks to Gnabry's goal in the 82nd minute, this indicates that their defense had weakened in the early minutes of the second half until finally Wolfsburg managed to score two goals and in my opinion what happened last season regarding their defense has not been resolved under Kompany's guidance they are also still having difficulty guarding their goal, of course this will be a big reference for them to further improve the performance of their defense line and also in terms of attack must be more optimistic in taking advantage of opportunities because there are many incidents without creating goals which are just wasted efforts how Munich management gives full opportunity to Kompany and the players, his hope is that Kompany must be able to maximize this in order to be the best in their competition to win the title. Because to be able to beat Leverkusen of course they have to work hard to destroy Xabi's strategy so if that can't be done then Kompany is very lacking in terms of strategy as well as Dortmund with their new coach who is quite satisfactory of course the war between red and yellow will happen again of course for Kompany if he wants to defeat them and get the championship title he must evaluate what happened today to be processed in the next match in order to get the opportunity to win the Bundesliga title again in Leverkusen's hands.

At least my predictions for Leverkusen , Dortmund and Bayern Munich was right on the first Matchday.

I have not seen the game from Dortmund and Bayern Munich but looks like that Gnabry is back in a good way.

We need to see him more; this is because his attempts were atrocious despite he scored a goal for us.

This issue of defense seems to be a general problem this season because I have observed how so many teams are struggling to maintain a solid defense. The likes of Barcelona in LA Liga and Chelsea in Premier league are also having the same challenge. Bayern Munich is without doubt a threat to any opponent in term of ball possession but very lack in defense.

Their major problem in this game is porous defense and missing chances. If those chances were converted into goals, they were supposed to be up by five or more goals but so many precious chances created were wasted. It would have been better if they had kept De light instead of Kim and Upamecano because he makes too many mistakes and loses ball easily.

Allowing Wolfsburg to make a come back is a show of incompetent despite turning things around in the late minutes. There's a long way to go this season but we have to cross our fingers and watch.

I believe that Bayern Munich will be a disappointment in the Bundesliga this year too. Today, Wolfsburg was ahead 0-1 away. At the beginning of the second half, Wolfsburg made the score 2-1. At minute 65, Kaminski scored his own goal and the score became 2-2.  S.Gnabry scored the winning goal for Bayern in the 82nd minute and Bayern finished the match 2-3.
I think Bayern will lose this league again this year, depending on the football played. Maybe there may even be a change of coach before the 10th week.

Bayern München have won the league 11 times in a row, let the others win some too. Grin After Leverkusen's success last year, all teams are hungry for the title this year. I expect Dortmund to make an attack too.
Wolfsburg didn't take any points from the game even though they were ahead, which is a bit frustrating. But the loss against Bayern is not so important for them in the overall league. They have different target matches. Wolfsburg have no title ambitions. Bayern, on the other hand, started the league with 3 points and even though they played badly, they didn't suffer a loss. I don't see them as hopeless as you do, they won't change the coach after the 10th week.

I don't think Vincent Kompany is a coach of Bayern Munich's caliber.
Of course, if he finds a good fit, he could be successful, but it seems like it won't happen to me.
It will be clear by November. We will wait and see.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen started very effectively again. While M'gladbach was leading 2-0, Gladbach brought the score to 2-2, but even though Fritz missed a penalty in the last minutes, he completed the returning ball and made the score 3-2 and started the league with a victory.

What I actually thinks is that the Bayern Munich team is still trying to get used to the playing pattern of Vincent company, so I believe that it's just a matter of time, I know that the expectations are high and the pressure of them winning games are there already, so their is no time for them to relax especially now that borussia dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen is actually on a better form than they are, so in as much as they are still trying to acclimatize to be playing system of Vincent company, they must also be getting the desired result, because their is no time for them to rest and look over there shoulders due to the higher competition in the German bundesliga right now, so in essence of what am trying to say is that, anything this Bayern Munich side are doing, they should be fast about it, because the pressure of those breathing around their kneck are not playing.

Bundesliga clubs that won their first match in this opening match include:
Freiburg against Stuttgart
Dortmund against Frankfurt
Leverkusen against Mönchengladbach
Hoffeinheim against Holstein Kiel
Leipzig against Bochum.

Honestly, I was surprised by Stuttgart's defeat against Freiburg even though last season Stuttgart was an impressive club but in this opening match they achieved less than satisfactory results, is it because they have lost their goal-scoring machine Guraissy which has caused a decline in their performance this season?

After that we will watch the rest of the first match, namely Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg and St. Pauli vs Heidenheim, I just have to wait for the results of Bayern Munich's match tonight to win this bet.

You are likely to win the bet, it is a good betting choice, Bayern Munich will definitely win the match against Wolfsburg if there is no big surprise because the Bayern team with its new coach is currently having high confidence so the early season match is quite important for them to win.
Yes in the end it is true as you said Bayern Munich won over Wolfsburg with a score of 2:3 bookies also made Bayern Munich the favorite to win, in this match Bayern Munich was quite lucky because Wolfsburg players made mistakes while defending and they scored an own goal which benefited Bayern Munich, maybe the match ended in a draw but Serge Gnabry created the third goal for Bayern Munich so they managed to win and get their first 3 points.

And for the St. Pauli vs Heidenheim match the victory for the visiting club the promoted club could not match Heidenheim's game even though they played more shots but could not break into the opponent's goal.

Certainly, that game was a nail-biter. Kompany has some chores to accomplish. Wolfsburg assuming the lead? That served as a summons to wakefulness. But hey, these are early days. Kane and Gnabry? That is the future right there. Kane's predator is another one. Though he had the least flashy game, he was where he needed to be. World-class strikers operate in this way

Not a masterpiece, this was a grind. Kompany has to find out how to have this team firing on targets. Leverkusens, Stuttgart - those will be actual challenges
The result for the match in the first match at least it was still quite good for Bayern even though they had to bother with Wolfsburg's resistance but in the end 3 points they could get.
In terms of quality, the superiority of Bayern players makes their condition certainly still quite good but as you said, in this case Kompany still has to try to make their performance better because even though they won this match, they were quite troubled in the matches they did so that the dominance and rhythm they created were sometimes a little lost with the opponent's counterattack that could not be anticipated.

This should be a sign for Bayern that this season they cannot relax like previous seasons because indeed the clubs in the Bundesliga are now increasing in quality which makes it difficult for us to predict what happens in 90 minutes of the match.

That's right, Kompany must work harder to adapt quickly, so he can secure 3 points in a better way. The first challenge was successfully overcome by Kompany and his troops, although Wolfsburg almost forced Bayern Munich to share points. Throughout the match, Kompany squad looked very dominant in possession of the ball, this indicates that they are quite calm, but have not found their best form. I am quite sure, in the future they will perform better, considering that Kompany has a number of quality players in his squad.

In reality, Bayern Munich still presents themselves as the rulers of the Bundesliga, they will remain one of the most serious title contenders, and Leverkusen is the main obstacle they must defeat. We realize that the competition for the trophy this season will be even fiercer, especially if Xabi Alonso squad continues its unbeaten trend. I hope Dortmund, Stuttgart and Leipzig can enliven the race, so that the competition at the top of the Bundesliga standings will be even more interesting.

This is not Chelsea or any English team that are fond of changing their coaches anytime they feel like they don’t perform. Bayern Munich is a team that has the potential for the league title this season and what matters in every match is the wins they’re able to get from the match not how they struggle to get that win. If they’ve won today, there’s nothing wrong with the time they won the match since they’ve gotten their three points from the game already.

If they lose matches in succession for a very long time, that’s when we can say that they need to adjust in order not to repeat the same thing that happened last season. Kompany is really trying his best and I hope he can continue till the end of the season to give Bayern Munich a league victory and also gain more trust to his name.

Next round it will be hard one for Bayern Munich since they will face Freiburg and also for Bayer Leverkusen since their enemy will be Leipzig.

I feel more for Bayern Leverkusen because of their opponent but looking from another point, they look more qualitative than Leipzig. The game may give them a tough time but all they need is to focus on winning the game and they’ll win the match at the end of the day. This will be the most toughest match they’ll first play this season since it began.

Just to clear some confusion:
Leverkusen did beat the (European) record of a number of games without loss across all competitions, with a run of 51, which ended on the EL final loss to Atalanta.
But it's Bayern that still holds a record of games without loss for Bundesliga games only, which is a run of 53. Leverkusen are still going with their previous season's undefeated Bundesliga games though, which I believe is now 35, so there is still a pretty long way to go to beat Bayern's record.
