Seeing Stuttgart who did not lose their minds to recruit a productive striker made me relieved because Stuttgart was a club that attracted attention last season where it was able to provide fierce competition with Leverkusen to be at the top of the standings and Stuttgart became runner-up last season, with that achievement they do not want to experience a decline this season even though they have lost one of the players who contributed the most last season.

However, it is very unfortunate that they released their mainstay player but it seems that they did not get a big profit, instead they bought a replacement at a higher price even though they released their mainstay player Guraissy to Dortmund for only 17.5 million euros.
Its terrible for Stuttgart after selling their top scorer players to Dortmund and not sign any new players yet actually they will participants in UEFA Champion League and seems terrible like Union Berlin last season have downtrend performance in domestic league after participating in Champion League. I think Stuttgart made fatal mistake by selling their top scorer Serhou Guirassy success scoring 28 goals of 28 appearance last season to Dortmund by can't find right replacing for his position.

Indeed announce permanent contract for Deniz Undav have played well last season but seems still not enough to recover for attacking line position. Have busy schedule matches and Champion League with new format make difficult for Stuttgart if have not balance yet between regular and substitutes composition players for next season with few days left before first match of Bundesliga begin.

Dortmund focusing on business is helping them make lots s of profits for the owners of the club and they just want to continue in that way because they can not be competing with Bayern Munich for the title. Bayern Munich will always be favourite to win and just in one blue moon will other club have the chance to winning hence just focusing in the business side of football is happening Dortmund stay relevent. Dortmund has what it takes to become champions in any league they compete at but they are making more money firm selling players than they'll make form winning trophies. Leverkusen aren't going to be favourites again, they just had one good season hence they should also focus on selling their top players and make profits before the players market value reduces. If it was Dortmund that won the league last season, they would had sold almost all the star players of last season.
Bayern Munich are all in for the major trophies and winning substantial profits for themselves while Borrusia Dortmund will always be in good shape and selling players with potentials, that's the first part for the club to walk directly into significant huge profits. Dortmund doesn't need trophies to become one of the best profitable clubs in the world of football. While for Bayer Leverkusen, they're coming up and with the proper management of Xabi Alonso, they're very active and winning becomes priorities for them.

Bayern Munich are expected to win the Bundesliga title next season, but Xabi Alonso might stop them again if the new coach does not perform well. Leverkusen were favoured to win the league last season, and Xabi Alonso is still coaching next season, and they did not sell any of their key players, so I believe they will continue to do well and probably win the league trophy again. I'm not sure what Dortmund's main problem is; they are good, but they sell their key players to another club, and they will perform poorly later on without winning any trophies. Currently, Dortmund still has vital players and will cooperate with other clubs in the league, but I can't say if they can win the Bundesliga next season but they will try there best. Munich or Leverkusen can win the league in my opinion let see how the season will go if they will get new challenge in other club in the  league competition.
I wonder why there are still so many who doubt Bayern Munich this season after getting a new coach.
Yes, it is very natural if there are still those who doubt Munich's performance this season because last season many parties were disappointed by Bayern Munich and even many bettors lost a large amount because Bayern Munich performed from the beginning of the season to the end of the season not as expected.
What I believe right now is that Vincent Kompany is able to make changes this season when there is still Harry Kane who is ready to be relied on and it is time for the player to get rid of his curse.

For Dortmund and Leverkusen, I also still admit that these two clubs will perform better this season when the new players they recruit have very good performance quality and this will be an interesting competition in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen was Bayern Munich's biggest obstacle in the German league last season, an obstacle that Bayern Munich could not overcome in the end. Bayer Leverkusen were the favorites when the season started but Bayer Leverkusen moved forward with such a match-by-match plan that Bayern Munich had no chance of moving to number one in the points table.
Since they have seen the performance of this club in the last season, Bayern Munich will definitely start the season with more caution and try to perform consistently.

If there is a difference with Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich then we will put Bayern Munich ahead in all aspects but the most important thing here is whether Bayern Munich can perform well next season with this strong team. Doubts about the manager's team management skills, if he can't manage the team with proper planning then they may have to return empty handed in the next season as well.

Deniz Undav has been recognised and he has signed a permanent contract with Stuttgart until 2027. He initially came from Brighton on a season-long loan and Stuttgart bought him for £28M. Stuttgart don't need to worry just because they lost Guirassy who chose to join Dortmund and at least they still have a mainstay striker who will contribute next season.
Welcome home

Indeed, after releasing their previous CF, Guirassy, this is finally Stuttgart's 2nd signing for the CF position, after they also signed Ermedin Demirovic.

It makes sense for Stuttgart to want to buy the German striker with the most expensive purchase for the club so far. He has some experience playing in several positions so far. Mostly, as the striker.

Before Leverkusen became champions, only Munich and Dortmund were the title contenders. There were almost no other teams at the same level as them. Leipzig and Stuttgart were in second place behind them. And unfortunately Dortmund's performance was inconsistent in every season. They were only able to compete until the middle of the season and after that Munich would dominate the league until they became champions. Only in the 2022/2023 season did Dortmund play impressively and have the same points as Munich, unfortunately they lost on goal difference. But as far as I know Dortmund lost against Munich in the league match that season. This is different from Leverkusen who became the undisputed champion after drawing and winning against the Bundesliga king Bayern Munich.
There was no doubt that the German Bundesliga was becoming too boring for football lovers before last season that Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern Munich 9 years dominance in the league. The league was the most predictable among the top five leagues in Europe until Xabi Alonso's men won the league for the first time in the history of the club. However, my concern and that of other football faithfuls is if Bayer Leverkusen will be able to repeat their performance of last season when the new season kicks off. Do you think Bayer Leverkusen will be able to defeat Bayern Munich home and away like they did last season in the league, do you think Bayern Munich can afford losing our in winning the title next season? The  upcoming Bundesliga season I think will be a interesting because of these questions.
Bayern Munich dominated the Bundesliga title for a very long time, such that the league became bored to me and so many others. It was also applicable to leagues like, ligue 1 which was dominated by PSG. But lucky enough Bayern Leverkusen came and surprised us all, after Dortmund tried for many seasons. I am waiting for next season and see how the Leverkusen will fare.

It is still uncertain for now especially for these two big clubs they are in transition which requires proof for the public in terms of performance.
Currently, regeneration to younger coaches such as Kompany and Nuri Sahin is not only a good breakthrough because it gives greater opportunities to young coaches but also certainly provides considerable pressure for the coach himself.

They are required to compete hard for the trophy now especially with Xabi waiting with his current defending champion status. So it is possible that for this season there will be surprises that occur including in performance problems and competition for trophies.

When it comes to the champions then it does look a bit monotonous where only Bayern can do that without any other club lifting the trophy but when it comes to performance in recent seasons especially for some unexpected clubs I think the Bundesliga is actually quite interesting.  In the previous few seasons we always saw how some small clubs like Feriburg or Union Berlin always did quite well and were quite surprising, for last season it was a difference even though there was no Freiburg and Union whose performance last season had decreased but there were several other clubs like VfB and Leverkusen who were quite surprising so the season was still very colorful for the bundesliga.

This season, Bayern will still be the main candidate to become champions but even so of course we now expect more from Leverkusen who last season played very well in order to display the same performance. At least that's our expectation to make the competition in the Bundesliga even more interesting.

I'm sure what you mean is qualifying from the group phase, the last time they played in the UCL was during the 22/23 season, they failed to advance from the group stage and could only finish in third place.

That was the case 2 seasons ago, with their performance last season, i think they can at least give hope to their fans, qualifying from the group stage is no longer a difficult thing for them.

There is no group format in the Champions League anymore. It is a league like format from now on. More details are here: UEFA website

I hope Kompany makes difference. I want to see Bayern Munich back in the title race in the Bundesliga. While Xabi Alonso's team are doing great things I'd love to see a title race between them next time.  Smiley

I'm sad for especially Kane. A great player individually but still trophyless... He still has many years ahead of him before thinking about retirement. I hope to see him winning trophies here.

Leverkusen's glory last season seems impossible to repeat for now. I hope Xabi Alonso realizes this and starts to fix what's wrong with his team, and maintain their mentality as before.

Well I don't know if this can continue happening or not , but in particular it is very difficult to achieve a feat like the one he already did, so you could say that he did something that seemed impossible, especially when it comes to the Bundesliga For me , Xabi is still a coach who can surprise and leave Everyone speechless,  Maybe this time they are studying how to correct , above all , the Mistakes they made in their last match in the Europa League, It's clear that each match is a different story , but it will be very difficult for Xabi to change the formation and Strategy.

Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has warned the Reds about Arsenal ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 Premier League season.

Alonso, who was long tipped to be Jurgen Klopp's replacement, won a historic domestic double with Bayer Leverkusen last season, losing just once across the entire campaign.

However, the German champions were on the wrong end of a hammering in pre-season on Wednesday when they travelled to the Emirates to face Arsenal, losing 4-1 following an electric performance from the hosts.

Leverkusen are going to have another tournament to compete in this season you know, the Champions League.  Smiley  I'm really curious about how good Xabi Alonso will deal with this.

I mean he is going to be expected to be successful in not only Bundesliga but also there this time. If I elaborate "success in the CL", I assume the expectation would be to qualify from league phase at least.

Can they do this though? If we see another dedicated effort this year too then why not?  Smiley  With that kind of a performance they can even beat some of the biggest title contenders.
With the new form of qualifying to the round of 16 in the Champions League, I think Alonso stands a chance to qualify to the round of sixteen if they perform strongly as they did last season. The teams in the competition are all strong teams, and are all prepared for another season, therefore, I cannot exempt any team from advancing to the next round and we can’t take Leverkusen ahead of them because they couldn’t qualify to the round of sixteen the last time they played in the Champions League.

Although Alonso changed somethings in the team to make them stronger than they used to be since they are able to win the Bundesliga title without a single defeat, they performed better than both Bayern and Dortmund since they are also able to make it to the Europa League final even though they couldn’t win it.

If that's the case, it would seem that Dortmund is a very pessimistic team, but strangely, Dortmund always manages to have great players who have great potential and also become stars. If Dortmund is focused on winning the title, then of course it will be easy for Dortmund, because Dortmund only needs to maintain the great players it has. After all, even though Dortmund has always sold great  players so far, but Dortmund has still managed to become a strong team in the competition for the top four and thus, basically Dortmund really has great potential to win trophies.

But yes, it is a shame that Dortmund has a habit of selling great players and it looks like a team that has no ambitions for trophies. It's a shame of course, because in reality Dortmund is Bayern Munich's eternal rival in the race for the Bundesliga trophy. However, even though Bayern Munich failed to win the trophy last season, instead of Dortmund getting the trophy, bu it was Bayer Leverkusen who got the trophy when Bayern Munich's performance worsened last season.

There was no doubt that the German Bundesliga was becoming too boring for football lovers before last season that Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern Munich 9 years dominance in the league. I hope Leverkusen can maintain their performance like last season, so they will be able to provide tough competition for any team that will win the title. Actually, whoever will be the champion does not really matter, including if Bayern Munich can win the title again. But what I want to see is that the team that becomes the champion does not get it easily, but they have to struggle to be able to win the title.
Competition like in the Premier League that I want to see, where they have to determine who will be the champion through the last match they play. Although Manchester City is still too strong in the last 4 seasons, but with competition like that makes us not bored to watch the league. Because in the Premier League it is not easy, it is proven that there are many moments where they have to compete until the end to be able to ensure themselves to win the title, unlike other leagues that sometimes claim the title too quickly even though there are still several matches left.
That boredom has at least been broken by Leverkusen last season, and hopefully next season the trophy competition will involve more teams, like the Premier League which presents competition until the end of the season. In my opinion, a competitive competition can occur if Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Leipzig and Dortmund are able to maintain their level of performance. As for Bayern Munich, we realize that they will find it easier to rise from the slump, this is despite the appointment of Kompany as the new manager. The Bundesliga will be more interesting if the trophy is won by a different team every season, because it indicates the competitive level of the competition. In many ways, Bayern Munich still seems to be the dominant team among all the contestants, and that is natural because they have stable finances thanks to their success so far.

I saw the match earlier, it seemed like Bayern Leverkusen's defense was lacking focus. If you look at the second goal scored by Arsenal, it was purely the goalkeeper's fault who misdirected the ball, and in my opinion the Leverkusen goalkeeper played badly, in the first half Arsenal was very free to create opportunities, as evidenced by Arsenal scoring 3 goals in the first half, unlike Leverkusen in the first half there were no significant opportunities.

yes I agree This should be an evaluation for Xabi Alonso in the future to improve the back line which is less solid. considering what Bayern showed in their pre-season tour which played less well, it seems that Alonso's strategy for now can be broken by another coach, unlike last season which was undefeated, and there should be changes created in the match against Real Betis later.
To be honest, before the match started, I thought that I would see an exciting match with both teams score each other goals in that match, but in fact I saw that Leverkusen, who were undefeated last season, had to accept the massacre in emirates stadium after they were unable to stop Arsenal fast game, even though This match was only a friendly match but I think Alonso needs to start focusing on improving their squad, especially in the defense line which is often difficult to anticipate every quick attack came from Arsenal, Alonso fielded several of their main players in this match and perhaps this indicates that it might be difficult for Leverkusen to repeat their success next season without significant changes in the defense sector right now.

In my opinion, it is very natural that the Leverkusen goalkeeper performed poorly in that match, because he has very minimal experience in facing a team that has a fast attack like Arsenal, so far he has been a reserve goalkeeper and only had very minimal opportunities to play in the main squad, so I didn't It's surprising that he looked bad in that match, especially without strong defensive support to help him keep the goal from conceding.

yes I also hope so, there will be excitement but instead, even though this is a friendly match, I feel disappointed with what Leverkusen showed, everyone certainly did not expect a massacre in the match.
Leverkusen's glory last season seems impossible to repeat for now. I hope Xabi Alonso realizes this and starts to fix what's wrong with his team, and maintain their mentality as before.

talking about goalkeepers He does have the status of a reserve goalkeeper, but this match should be a motivation for him to show his abilities under the crossbar. If he continues to play like that, I don't think there will be a chance to get the coach's trust and continue to fill the bench.

Bayer chose a different path, they decided to keep the team together and try to win the Bundesliga again, and also try what they are capable of in the Champions League, but I think the number one task for Alonso this season is to defend the championship title.

As for Dortmund, I doubt that they could win all the tournaments so easily, it is much more difficult than it seems, even the strongest teams like Bayern or City cannot do this, and Dortmund has never been one of the strongest, so it is even more difficult for them and maybe that is why they chose a different path, when you do not strive to be the best team, but have a very good financial situation and sometimes hope to reach the Champions League final as it was recently, or fight for victory in the Bundesliga, when everything was decided in the last round and everything was in the hands of Dortmund, but apparently the team is simply not ready for great victories.
