Bayern Munich and Leverkusen are both very strong and well performing teams.  Due to which the match between them was difficult. If you have seen their match, Leverkusen also managed to score only 1 goal, although they are also a strong team. The reason for this is that Bayern Munich's record is very good and strong, if you look at their close matches, they have only lost 2 times, so I don't think there will be a better record than this because they have a stronger team in their record.  Even a match must have passed with defeat. We should also see that Leverkusen is better than Bayern Munich which is why they won this match but it would not have mattered to Bayern Munich but they will definitely want to win this match because they are a strong team.

Leverkusen were the winners anyway. They benefited from the red card that Munich got. However, they didn't really play with an advantage over Munich who in fact were also able to create quite a lot of chances.
The result might have been different if there was no red card at the beginning of the first half. But this is football with all its surprises, Munich must accept this result and can focus more on the Champions League and Bundesliga.

Regardless, this is a tough setback for Bayern Munich since getting kicked out of the DFB Pokal so early is always painful. Now Bayer Leverkusen has literally cracked the jackpot as they have now kicked out the fiercest competitor and went to the next round themselves. It couldn't have been any better for Leverkusen and now I think they are the biggest favorites to win this title.
Judging from Kompany's ability then I can conclude that he will have a hard time facing the competition in the knockout stages for the title and this will also have an impact on the competition in the Champions League which currently has a small chance. Getting knocked out of the DFB Pokal is quite a painful result because they looked so strong in the Bundesliga and maybe there are some things that need to be fixed by the management including the coach. Leverkusen are quite fortunate to have managed to eliminate Bayern Munich because now they are the favorite candidates in the DFB Pokal because the other teams are not much better than them.
Bayern Munich's elimination due to defeat from Leverkusen, I think it's not surprising because Leverkusen also has sufficient strength.
And I don't think too much about the defeat experienced by Bayern Munich, they still have a big chance to win the Bundesliga this season so Kompany must be able to make this team continue to be consistent without caring about the results of the past.

Honestly, if it was not because of the red card, I don't think that Leverkusen would have been able to win the match. We all know that Bayern Munich are in better form than any other German team. It’s clear that a red card always reduces the strength of a team because it becomes ten men against eleven.

If Bayern Munich had not received the red card, it’s very possible they would have won the match by not less than two goals. Even with the red card, Bayern were giving Leverkusen a very tough time to score. In fact, it was Bayern that controlled the pitch throughout the game, even with the red card.

So, Leverkusen defeating Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal doesn’t mean they are better than Bayern Munich currently. I don’t understand the reason why some people are talking much the defeat.

Red cards always change the course of the match, Leverkusen managed to take advantage of the advantage in numbers to win. Kompany and Xabi Alonso were seen fielding their best squads, so it can be said that both coaches are very serious about the DFB Pokal trophy, the red card received by Nuer has made the match unbalanced although Bayern Munchen was still able to dominate possession throughout the match. We know the result of the match could have been the opposite if Nuer had not been sent off the field in the 17th minute, now Bayern Munchen has a tougher rival besides Dortmund. Overall, this is a big match that gets the spotlight from various circles, it is natural that many people are talking about the results of the match. For those who followed the journey of both teams this season, of course they know the true strength of Bayern Munchen and Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich losing to Bayern Leverkusen in the DFB cup match they played yesterday showed how important Harry Kane is to the team because if he had featured in that match, there was no way he wouldn't have scored. Red card is a very huge setback for any team in football because it destabilizes the players such that it's always hard to cover up for the player that was sent out of the pitch and even though the Red card was giving to their goal keeper Manuel Neuer, it really affected Bayern's gameplay entirely. Manuel Neuer has really spent enough time at Bayern Munich but he is getting older and the team needs a player who is still young and has the ability to do his job very well as the goal keeper so Bayern Munich should consider replaying the Manuel Neuer. For Harry Kane, i don't see this season passing him by without a trophy because he is really putting all his efforts just for Bayern Munich to succeed and get back their title glory.

And the comment of not under estimating any club is true because the way Leverkusen were playing surprised me a lot because the pressure they were given Leverkusen is not lame it was accurate even the attempts that was even before the red and they had to substitute one player, and football have it's on risk and the red card was actually deserving, if something is not planned out and it will take a different direction and don't be surprised that even if harry kane was in that game there is still no assurance that they might still not score, football is very delegate than what we think.

And the red card contributed to what is currently happening now and they just have to find a way,  and Manuel Neuer is a gift and the red card was what affected the whole game but they were only able to score one zero it is very bad, and Bayern tried to win but they were unable to win and it is actually understandable and kompany is doing a great job for Bayern. Harry Kane will definitely do everything possible to win a trophy because Bayern is the one leading.

I thought Frankfurt could beat Leipzig even though they were playing away because in that match Frankfurt was better in terms of ball possession but it turned out that ball possession alone was not enough if the resulting attack was not much they had difficulty creating opportunities to score goals on the other hand Leipzig was sharper and very good at building their attacks.
I think apart from our wrong prediction, Leipzig did deserve to win the match.
Prediction errors are not a big problem because everyone has their own predictions and I think Frankfurt defeat sometimes has something behind it. I mean sometimes a team has its own goals to pursue a certain title and not pursue something that is not prestigious and chooses to save the players' energy. Let's just look at how Frankfurt and Leipzig performances are very different. While Frankfurt when appearing in the bundesliga competition, their performance looks more enthusiastic. So I would say that Leipzig deserves to win because Frankfurt performed unusually.
If we look at the position of the two teams in Bundesliga , of course Frankfurt deserves to be favoured in the match, especially so far they has  shown a quite positive performance compared from Leipzig in the leaugue, but it seems that Leipzig have better motivation and better strategy when they faced Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal match yesterday, Leipzig, who played at home, precisly I see preferred just wait for the ball and counterattack to destroy the frankfurt defend in the match, although frankfurt managed to dominate the match, but the solid defend from Leipzig and the ineffectiveness their attacks made it difficult for them to break into the leipzig goal in the match.

These are the teams that have qualified for the DFB Pokal quarter-finals :

Frankfurt really surprised me in the DFB Pokal game. They couldn't do anything against Leipzig while I was expecting the opposite.  Sad

It is good for Leipzig though. Because they have been doing really bad in the Bundesliga for a few weeks. They are falling behind in the title competition day by day.

Just like you, I also expected the opposite result because Eintracht Frankfurt is considered more worthy to advance to the next round than RB Leipzig considering their good performance in the Bundesliga. But that's the reality, they lost and no one could predict what might happen in that match. I was a bit surprised that Marmoush couldn't even score a single goal for Frankfurt in this match.

Reports in Germany earlier today suggests that Bayern Munich are prepared to offer Jamal Musiala a lucrative contract that'll see the Germany international sign the club's biggest contract. Musiala without doubt have immensely contributed to the club's improvement since he joined them but do you think he deserves a contract offer that's bigger than that of Harry Kane?

I think it would be okay if the management gave Musiala a fantastic new contract, which exceeds Harry Kane's contract, because it is comparable to the player's ability, especially since he is still very young, he will be Bayern Munich's long-term weapon, and one thing is for sure with this tempting contract, Musiala will not be tempted to go to another club.
There is no club that will have a young asset like Musiala without keeping him for a long term purpose. If you don't gibe such contract, other clubs will snatch him from you. That is the same issue with Barcelona as they value the young Yamal. I wonder why op will want to compare him to Kane who is already aging. In contracts we consider many things and age is one factors to consider.

Of course Musiala is an incredible player and it is only a club that is owing debt or having challenge that will think of selling out and any club who try such thing is going to suffer it for some period of time but to me I think Yamal  has more  and better appearance than him though both are good. Yamal absence in match always affect Barcelona in one way or the other but I still can not compare Harry Kane and Yamal even though Harry Kane is aging, one thing about football is experience and of course Harry has more experience than Yamal and the both of them are not even supposed to be compared because they don't play same position but the fact remains that both Harry Kane and Yamal are good and amazing players.

On the other hand, Leverkusen also had a way to beat them, so I had previously predicted this defeat. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bayern Munich have to accept defeat. Apart from me, whether they prioritize this competition or not, because I think they only prioritize the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

In the end, Bayern Munich was really unlucky in this match. Because in the round of 16, they had to play against another top club, Leverkusen, and even worse, they got a red card in the early minutes, the 17th minute, so by only playing with 10 men, it was quite detrimental for Bayern Munich. and in the end, Leverkusen was able to optimize the chance to win from this condition. Although Kane may be in the squad, but playing with 10 players vs 11 top club players like Leverkusen, will still be quite difficult. But, who knows.

After losing one player to red card in a very important match like this and also the opponent being a top team in the league, it will be very difficult for any team to win that match. Bayern Leverkusen saw the opportunity of the red card and they really utilized it well to their own advantage to defeat Bayern Munich in the DFB Cup. If it was like last two season’s when Bayern Munich was the best team in the Bundesliga, they could have still won this game with one player down for them. But since most teams now understand the game better most especially Bayern Leverkusen, it now became easier for them to get a win than for them trying to hold the match to a draw or eventually losing the game. The German league is not more a mediocre one, most teams are now performing better and facing their challenge very well.

It's not a big surprise, Leipzig is playing at home even though in some Bundesliga matches Leipzig's performance has declined a bit but we have to look at the overall strength of both teams and I don't think Frankfurt has a stronger strength.
Regarding who deserves to qualify, of course Leipzig has proven that they are the best and deserve to qualify, so there is no debate about that, this is football, nothing is certain and cannot be measured accurately.

That can be said now because considering Bayern Munich is still at the top of the Bundesliga standings, but to ensure it is at the top of the standings, I think Bayern Munich must stay focused on their current best performance and must consider all their rivals as serious opponents in the Bundesliga this season. Because for now there are still many matches that must be played by many teams so that the level of position changes can still occur in the Bundesliga standings which can also cause Bayern Munich's position to become unsafe.

With four points separating them away from Frankfurt and seven from Leverkusen, Bayern Munich's position is unsafe. To avoid breaking the record of winning the title as Leverkusen did the previous season, Bayern Munich has to be consistent this season. Of course, players have to think about their opponents as if it were the last Bundesliga match of the season. Heidenheim is their next opponent, and I do not doubt that Bayern Munich will win with lots of goals to expand their gap.

Bayern Munich made a wise choice by deciding to make Musiala a larger offer for a new deal. Even in the last time they played against Dortmund, Musiala was the one who equalized to give them a draw and shared the points. He has been a key aspect of their success this season. But if I'm not mistaken, no team has requested Musiala just yet. Musiala current deal with Bayern Munich expires in 2026, so if they can give him a new deal now for a huge amount of money, no club will want him because of his expensive prices. Kane is a goal-scoring machine no doubt, but he cannot be compared to Musiala, who is still only 21 years old. Musiala will undoubtedly be able to play like this for the next ten years, while Kane's age will prevent him from doing so unless he continues to play at small teams.

I am not sure that Harry Kane could have changed anything about it. Manuel Neuer receiving the red card in minute 17 was essentially game over as it is a game against a team that is extremely strong in counter attacks. If this was against Kiel or another medium strong team, then maybe Bayern could have done it. But playing without your first goalkeeper from minute 17 on is brutal and Leverkusen is a team that knows how to exploit such an advantage.

Bayern still played well and given that they were one man down for about 75 minutes, the ball possession with close to 60% is a strange statistic. I don't know how they made that possible against Leverkusen. But at the end of the day Leverkusen did the right things and it is still a game in the Allianz Arena, which is never easy even when you are one player up.

All players are important in the team especially if they’re main players that usually most times decide the fate of the outcome of a match. Harry Kane is a great player and I don’t think his presence wouldn’t have had more colour to the match yesterday and are going to win it without a doubt. Bayern Leverkusen is not a small team either after beating Bayern Munich last season to win the Bundesliga title. They should have expected that or have some doubt in them winning the match when they don’t even have Harry Kane in the lineup yesterday.

Manuel Neuer is an important player in the team and even if he’s a goalkeeper, the way he coordinated the player in the field is something great and should be missed after he was sent out of the match. A replacement for him should be underway by now, he has really achieved a lot with this team and he’ll be glad he made a lot of records to add to his collection of achievements during his football career in Bayern Munich. Until he can’t keep again, he may not be replaced anytime soon. He’s still very good despite his age now.

I think every trophy will be very important for munchen regardless from that the status trophies (major or minor), that is also applies to Munich who also prioritise all trophies for them winning no exception with DFB pokal this season, but their early elimination was of course due to leverkusen better performance in that match, especially after neuer get red card in the match which made their game drop and outnumbered than leverkusen, kane injury has reduced munchen sharpness,so I hope kompany must immediately find a solution to overcome this because it is not good to depend on one player (kane).

In difficult conditions, Bayern Munich's elimination from the DFB is very embarrassing, this will make the players fall mentally when playing in the domestic league and also the Champions League. I see that there are several things that the club management pays attention to, both from the coach and the style of play.

In this event, it was an advantage for Leverkusen, they had eliminated Bayern Munich, the team that was the champion clone, Bayern Munich's ability had begun to decline, automatically the favorite candidate switched to Leverkusen.
