Regardless, this is a tough setback for Bayern Munich since getting kicked out of the DFB Pokal so early is always painful. Now Bayer Leverkusen has literally cracked the jackpot as they have now kicked out the fiercest competitor and went to the next round themselves. It couldn't have been any better for Leverkusen and now I think they are the biggest favorites to win this title.
Well, or maybe Bayern Munich is not concerned with the DFB Pokal and chooses not to be optimal in the league. But whatever, indeed, Leverksuen's chances are getting bigger. Only, there are still Stuttgart and also Leipzig as their toughest competitors in the DFB Pokal. But if there are no missed chances, Leverkusen should be able to be the winner, unless they missed the chances or there are uncontrolled conditions or bad during the match.

After beating Bayern Munich, the team can reach the cup by beating other teams. However, we know that other teams also want the cup after this stage. The most difficult opponent was eliminated. Bayern Munich's elimination should also please other teams because Leverkusen is a team that can be eliminated more easily than Bayern Munich. We saw how a red card can disrupt the balance of the game in the Bayern Munich-Leverkusen match. Right now, in my opinion, the closest candidate for the championship is Leverkusen in the German Cup.

Could you please stop talking trash? I don't know whether you are familiar with the Bundesliga at all and whether you are able to understand interviews given by the Bayern players, but if you had the tiniest clue about Bayern, you would know that they are literally brain fucked when they get kicked out of any competition. The DFB Pokal is a pretty huge thing in Germany. It is an important title and just in case you didn't see Müller's interview after the game, try to search for it and just watch his face and then tell me that they are not concerned with the DFB Pokal, lol. How are you coming up with nonsense like this?

All the bosses were mentally destroyed after the game. It is pure disappointment and nobody ignores the fact that the competition is important. A club like Bayern goes into a season to win it all, to win the treble. And you think they have some sort of priority list and don't care if they get eliminated?
You are right it is big deal in German football and Bayern Munich losing early is definitely letdown. Thomas Müller interview after game and team management reactions show how serious situation is. Bayern Munich wants to win every competition they enter including all three big titles. Losing in DFB Pokal is setback and it is clear team cares about this competition. DFB Pokal is respected tournament in German football and winning it is big accomplishment. Bayern Munich players and staff were probably very disappointed about losing early and they will likely regroup and focus on their other competitions.

I don't want to hear that Bayern Munich is not interested in the DFB cup? All the trophies will count towards the success or failure of the coach and individual players. So, Bayern Munich hard exited just like other clubs. They did not do it on purpose. This was exactly the situation that happened with Manchester City and we all said that Guardiola doesn't need the cup but later on we saw that he will actually lost the match because he kept to losing even more matches.

They care about the cup but that red card changed everything and they couldnt win. Leverkusen was much better plus red card gaved them a boost. Kane dosent have luck at all to win a single trophy thankfully they are first but with Kanes luck i wouldnt be surprised if they lost the title again due to his bad luck

Judging from Kompany's ability then I can conclude that he will have a hard time facing the competition in the knockout stages for the title and this will also have an impact on the competition in the Champions League which currently has a small chance. Getting knocked out of the DFB Pokal is quite a painful result because they looked so strong in the Bundesliga and maybe there are some things that need to be fixed by the management including the coach. Leverkusen are quite fortunate to have managed to eliminate Bayern Munich because now they are the favorite candidates in the DFB Pokal because the other teams are not much better than them.

It is painful to get kicked out of that competition so early and keep in mind that Bayern is a team that thrives based on the level of the competition. If they get kicked out early, it is not beneficial for the other competitions, it is rather slowing them down. The DFB Pokal is still an attractive title and it is the fastest one you can win as there are only single knockout rounds all the time.

The worst thing about this loss was that they were facing their toughest opponent in the DFB Pokal at home in the Allianz Arena. It couldn't have been any better, but Manuel Neuer's red card was too much to handle. I watched the scene again and I have to say Neuer's move wasn't very smart. He just crashed into the other player with the secondary goal to knock him out in case he misses the ball. It wasn't very smart to do it like that after 17 minutes. The Bayern defender was right behind the Leverkusen striker and it would have been difficult to make use of that opportunity anyway.

I agree with you. Bayern Munich's elimination from the DFB Pokal is good for Bayern Munich. Now Bayern Munich will be able to focus more on the Champions League matches. If the schedule is too busy, it becomes very difficult to maintain a good performance. Bayern Munich's performance in the Champions League matches is very irregular. The team is in 13th position in the points table. Bayern Munich has lost two out of 5 matches. Winning the Bundesliga title will not be difficult for Munich. However, doing well in the Champions League is very difficult for Bayern Munich.
The elimination in DFB Pokal won't automatically increase the chance of Bayern Munich winning the matches in UCL. The level of these competitions is different, UCL is surely harder than DFB Pokal. If Bayern Munich still couldn't get optimum results in UCL, it wasn't because they have another focus on domestic matches. I think it is because Kompany has no much experience in UCL as a coach. However, it is not too bad that Bayern Munich is 13th place, they still have the chance to qualify for the next round. But they probably need to struggle at play-offs phase.

In Bundesliga, Bayern Munich is leading with quite convincing points. But I think it isn't a very safe point, there is still chance that other teams can overtake it. There are still many matches left, it won't be so easy to win the second half of the season. In many cases, the second half of the season will be more challenging than the first half of the season. So, Bayern Munich must be always very careful and don't miss any opportunity to get 3 points.
There is always something positive to take, even if defeat is still disappointing, but I think Bayern Munich defeat in the DFB Pokal does give them a bigger advantage going forward. Kompany can focus more on securing their chances of qualifying for the last 16 without having to go through the playoffs, although everyone knows that Kompany still has very little experience there. In the Bundesliga, their position is not completely secure, but with the declining performance of Leverkusen and Dortmund, I don't think they will be too worried.

It's not easy to win when you have to play with 10 men, while the opponent they face is Leverkusen. I think the defeat is very reasonable, and Leverkusen will likely use the DFB Pokal as their priority competition going forward. Looking at Bayern Munich's next three matches in the Champions League, Kompany will most likely be able to lead his team to full points and lead his team to the last 16.

Perhaps it was better for Bayern Munich that they were eliminated from the German Cup. It is now time for Bayern Munich to focus more on the Champions League. They will probably have no problems in the league and will be Bundesliga champions at the end of the year. However, they need to be very careful and prepare well for the Champions League. The results they have achieved so far are not very successful. What was expected from them was to advance in the Champions League in the first eight. I think it was better for them to be eliminated from the German Cup in order to advance by winning their remaining matches.
Letting go of one competition for another is still understandable but still a defeat is a defeat that Kompany should pay more attention to this especially this can also be a benchmark in the h2h for the match between them and Leverkusen in the Bundesliga continued later.

Bayern lost and what hurt more was that they lost in front of a lot of fans who fully supported him at the Alianz Arena so that this became a condition that in my opinion could be dangerous if it was only considered a habit to release an important thing and prioritize other competitions.

But all that has happened and all they have to think about now is how they pay for it (giving up the DFB) by being able to have a decent position in the Champions League and the Bundesliga even though until now the Bundesliga is still very comfortable for Bayern.

Every cup is important to a team, so i don't know why Bayern Munich's elimination from the DFB Pokal should be considered as a way to make Bayern concentrate in other competitions. If it's about the Champions league, Bayern Munich should just forget it because they won't get to anywhere. Their focus should be on the Bundesliga and not the Champions league because they still have a long way to go and they will definitely meet bigger opponents that can stop them along the way, unlike the Bundesliga where they play with regular teams within the league and they easily understand their pattern of play. Even though Bayern is topping the table with 4 points but i think they are not safe considering the force of Eintracht Frankfurt who is second in the table so Bayern needs more consistency before they can be comfortable at the top of the league table.

I don't think Bayern Munich saw the losing coming in the cup match between them and Leverkusen because they are not comfortable yet as a team and no one knows if they will end up winning the league title or not since the league is still very open. Bayern Munich is not doing so well in the champions League I don't think they had the intention of losing out in the cup match because as a team they would definitely want to win more than one trophy since they finished last season without winning any but if losing our in the cup match will help them get better in the champions League and make them win the league title then I think losing the cup match to focus on the other competition will become a wise idea they had so far.

It is not a big deal that they were eliminated from the German Cup. Of course, it would have been better if they had won the cup, but we know that the reason they lost in this match is that their goalkeeper got a red card in the early 1 minute. After Manuel Neuer got a red card, the balance within the team was disrupted and Bayern Munich started to give away chances. In equal conditions, I think Bayern Munich would be the team that would advance to the next round. The main target for them is the Bundesliga, if they win the Bundesliga at the end of the year, the management can consider the coach successful.
In my opinion, no team wants to accept defeat in any event because if we look at the matches that have been played by all team, of course this season is not even half the season so there is no more important focus that must sacrifice themselves. Well, bayern munich defeat in the DFB of course they have lost one trophy this season.

Even though their chances of getting a trophy this season are still there, I think their elimination in the dfb Cup is a big evaluation material for Kompany to manage the team performance to be more consistent in seeking victory in every match they play.
It is true that the red card received by Neuer was a bad thing for them because they were unable to balance the game because they played with 10 player. leverkusen was lucky because they were able to take advantage of the advantage in the number of players to be able to beat bayern munich.
In the next match, Bayern munich must be able to return to winning ways because Eintracht Frankfurt is following them very strongly this season.

Yeah maybe its better that they got kicked out of the German Cup now and can focus on the Champions League more.
But you know Bayern Munich and for sure they are not happy that they got kicked out of that Cup.
And for them to win the German League again its still a long road to go for that , even its possible they make it a lot can happen to the end of the season.

The positive side for now is that they only have to focus on the competitions that are still available to them and indeed in some possibilities that eliminating the DfB for the Bundesliga and Champions League competitions is still quite good but still in this case I think they need to do a thorough evaluation because they have to lose in the last 16 phase.

At least in this match it should be a lesson that in the end the slightest mistake can affect the conditions in performance and Neuer's red card in this match made them lose momentum and had to be eliminated which is necessary for Kompany to pay attention so that the same thing does not happen again.
Although events like this no one expects but still does not mean this mistake can be excused just like that considering if something like this happens in the Champions League and Bundesliga so that it makes them lose momentum and opportunity then the wave of criticism will definitely be very large.

If we are talking about Bayern focusing on major competitions, they are still far in the Champions League standings, they need to move to the top eight to have an easy access to the round of 16, meanwhile they are currently 13th on the table and for a team like Bayern that has kept an outstanding performance in their major league, really needs to make it to the perfect spot and not to compete in the two legged knock out phase. Bayern in the Bundesliga is keeping all efforts to maintain their position, they have the most chances compared to any team to win the Bundesliga, the squad are readily fit to retain back the title.
But in the bundesliga they are at the top so that's a major league for which they have got focus on and its ofcourse looking like they have got a good chance at it. With their current Coach, they lack the champions League experience so much shouldn't and will not be expected of them in that regards, but I know that they are going to get pass the group stage and may make it to the knockout as they are still around the safe spot on the table.

Bayern Munich and Leverkusen are both very strong and well performing teams.  Due to which the match between them was difficult. If you have seen their match, Leverkusen also managed to score only 1 goal, although they are also a strong team. The reason for this is that Bayern Munich's record is very good and strong, if you look at their close matches, they have only lost 2 times, so I don't think there will be a better record than this because they have a stronger team in their record.  Even a match must have passed with defeat. We should also see that Leverkusen is better than Bayern Munich which is why they won this match but it would not have mattered to Bayern Munich but they will definitely want to win this match because they are a strong team.
I wouldn't call Leverkusen better team just because of one game, you do not become better due to just one game, you become better if you are better overall and that's the most important part. I understand that may not feel that great for many people, but that's the most important part. I feel like the best part that could get better result would be something that could get a greater situation based on this game.

Leverkusen has a great way forward with the cup now, not a lot of teams that would be better than Leverkusen left, only team that would be considered better was Bayern and they got that as a win, so whatever team they face, should be teams either same level as them or worse, and that is a great future path for them.

Leverkusen performed well last season. We were all surprised to see such a great performance by Leverkusen. But this season, Leverkusen's overall performance has been inconsistent. Leverkusen has no chance of winning the Bundesliga title anymore. Leverkusen is 7 points behind Bayern Munich and is in third place in the table.

Leverkusen will try their best to win the DFB Pokal title. I think Leverkusen's biggest obstacle in the DFB Pokal title race is Stuttgart. This team is quite strong. Although Stuttgart's performance has been inconsistent. But I think Stuttgart has the ability to beat Leverkusen. I am waiting to see which team Leverkusen is going to face in the quarter finals.
I don't put more attention on DFB Pokal games, but I was not expecting to see Bayern Munich get knocked out so quickly, most especially by Bayer Leverkusen. Although they lost that game because of the red card in the first half. And for now in that league, I think the best team to have hope on is definitely Bayer Leverkusen because if not for them, the remaining teams that I am seeing, I don’t think they will be able to win the title, so Stuttgart will not be a big obstacle for them if Bayer Leverkusen will focus more on the league in order to achieve their goal, which is the title.

Although Bayer Leverkusen didn’t have that much hope in the Bundesliga because this season their performance is not as good as last season, they are just struggling to see if they can do anything tangible. Although Bayern Munich has always been the champion of the Bundesliga title for long, I think that is the same thing that will happen this season also, so I don’t have hope for any other team than Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich was eliminated in the DFB Pokal competition because they had to play with 10 men since the 17th minute besides their opponent was Leverkusen, you won't be able to survive if you play with 10 men, so the defeat can be said that Bayern Munich is unlucky, now their focus is maintaining consistency in the Bundesliga competition even though they are currently at the top of the standings there are times when they experience obstacles or even slip because the points difference can still be caught up. And regarding the UCL why should Bayern Munich forget the most prestigious trophy, I think even though their opponents are strong teams, Bayern Munich still has the opportunity to go further or even get the trophy I think they deserve it.

Leverkusen will simply strive to finish top 4 in the Bundesliga rase this season, but winning the league will be much easier because Bayern Munich has already secured the top spot in the league, and it will be very difficult for any side to knock them down from that position. And now that Xabi Alonso has realized he can't win the league longer, he does his best and defeats Munich in the DFB Pokal, thus they've defeated the tough club in the cup who are the favorites to win the cup this season. Stuttgart can defeat Leverkusen in the Cup since Leverkusen is superior to them this season. But he won't be as simple because am seeing how Stuttgart are doing great in the league competition they winning there matches very well. Let see who will achieve the title. They need to play the quater finals first and see who will be the more favorite to achieve the title of DFB Cup. I didn't expect Leverkusen can defeat Munich this season but they did in the cup and they perform very great in the game.

Munich has indeed not won the DBF Cup competition for several seasons. But Munich is still the club with the most DBF Cup winners. I am not sure if Munich is also not targeting this competition, especially if you look at the squad that was fielded, I am sure Kompany is quite serious about the match. The Bundesliga may be more prestigious, but it would be extraordinary for the club to win several trophies in one season. Munich has been eliminated so they will focus on what is in front of them. The competition is still long and they have a lot to fight for.
It is not a big deal that they were eliminated from the German Cup. Agreed. It's not a matter of them having a lot of German Cup trophies or not focusing on this competition. But the problem is that Bayern Munich needs this trophy after going through a seemingly endless season without a title. But unfortunately Bayern Munich's defeat in this match because of Manuel Neuer's red card early in the match made this match too difficult to overcome, causing Bayern Munich to be eliminated from the German Cup.

Bayern Munich have fought hard with 10 players. But without Kane, Neuer, and Sane, Bayern Munich actually slumped and suffered defeat against Leverkusen. This should be a lesson for Kompany not to rely on just one player when Kane doesn't play they can't score goals. This defeat made Bayern Munich fail again at the start of this competition and further extended their record because the last time they won the German Cup trophy was in the 2019-2020 season.

But on the other hand, their defeat in this competition should be a new spirit for Kompany. Bayern Munich can now focus on the Bundesliga and Champions League as opportunities to win trophies this season. Of course, Bayern Munich's main target this season is the Bundesliga because if this fails, it will put heavy pressure on Kompany and most likely this will also disrupt his career at Bayern Munich.

If you ask me i’d say it’s not good for them at all because a team as big as Bayern Munich shouldn’t just settle on just one or two competitions. Being eliminated in the DFB Pokal competition is not a good thing at all because this is the kind of trophy they will add to the Bundesliga in order for them to have a successful season because winning the champions league will not be easy for them at all. This kind of schedule is what they are used to so it shouldn’t be much of a problem at all.
They are currently struggling in the champions league and so winning the trophy will not be easy but it is not impossible. Bayern Munich are not doing so well so they need to improve their performance if they want to stand a chance in winning the Champions League trophy.
