Perhaps it was better for Bayern Munich that they were eliminated from the German Cup. It is now time for Bayern Munich to focus more on the Champions League. They will probably have no problems in the league and will be Bundesliga champions at the end of the year. However, they need to be very careful and prepare well for the Champions League. The results they have achieved so far are not very successful. What was expected from them was to advance in the Champions League in the first eight. I think it was better for them to be eliminated from the German Cup in order to advance by winning their remaining matches.

I agree with you. Bayern Munich's elimination from the DFB Pokal is good for Bayern Munich. Now Bayern Munich will be able to focus more on the Champions League matches. If the schedule is too busy, it becomes very difficult to maintain a good performance. Bayern Munich's performance in the Champions League matches is very irregular. The team is in 13th position in the points table. Bayern Munich has lost two out of 5 matches. Winning the Bundesliga title will not be difficult for Munich. However, doing well in the Champions League is very difficult for Bayern Munich.

Every cup is important to a team, so i don't know why Bayern Munich's elimination from the DFB Pokal should be considered as a way to make Bayern concentrate in other competitions. If it's about the Champions league, Bayern Munich should just forget it because they won't get to anywhere. Their focus should be on the Bundesliga and not the Champions league because they still have a long way to go and they will definitely meet bigger opponents that can stop them along the way, unlike the Bundesliga where they play with regular teams within the league and they easily understand their pattern of play. Even though Bayern is topping the table with 4 points but i think they are not safe considering the force of Eintracht Frankfurt who is second in the table so Bayern needs more consistency before they can be comfortable at the top of the league table.

Leverkusen were the winners anyway. They benefited from the red card that Munich got. However, they didn't really play with an advantage over Munich who in fact were also able to create quite a lot of chances.
The result might have been different if there was no red card at the beginning of the first half. But this is football with all its surprises, Munich must accept this result and can focus more on the Champions League and Bundesliga.
Yea, the red card affected Bayern Munich’s performance because they were worried and Leverkusen as a big team used the advantage to win the game.
The red card was early and it is a red card to an important player that have huge influence in the squad; but’s it’s not too bad because Bayern Munich’s main target is the Bundesliga title, so even if they are eliminated in this competition it’s not a big deal, Leverkusen will be very happy to have eliminated Bayern Munich because they will have the opportunity to try their best in winning the tournament.

Munich has indeed not won the DBF Cup competition for several seasons. But Munich is still the club with the most DBF Cup winners. I am not sure if Munich is also not targeting this competition, especially if you look at the squad that was fielded, I am sure Kompany is quite serious about the match. The Bundesliga may be more prestigious, but it would be extraordinary for the club to win several trophies in one season. Munich has been eliminated so they will focus on what is in front of them. The competition is still long and they have a lot to fight for.
It is not a big deal that they were eliminated from the German Cup. Of course, it would have been better if they had won the cup, but we know that the reason they lost in this match is that their goalkeeper got a red card in the early 1 minute. After Manuel Neuer got a red card, the balance within the team was disrupted and Bayern Munich started to give away chances. In equal conditions, I think Bayern Munich would be the team that would advance to the next round. The main target for them is the Bundesliga, if they win the Bundesliga at the end of the year, the management can consider the coach successful.
If we are talking about Bayern focusing on major competitions, they are still far in the Champions League standings, they need to move to the top eight to have an easy access to the round of 16, meanwhile they are currently 13th on the table and for a team like Bayern that has kept an outstanding performance in their major league, really needs to make it to the perfect spot and not to compete in the two legged knock out phase. Bayern in the Bundesliga is keeping all efforts to maintain their position, they have the most chances compared to any team to win the Bundesliga, the squad are readily fit to retain back the title.

How bad Kane for missing Pokal, then his club left. I know it was not a major trophy, but it's still a trophy that's worthy enough to win. Now, he miss it again, and no doubt people called him as being cursed player to never win a trophy.

Judging from Bayern's performance, they're not bad at least until they went down with 10 players. Playing without a striker is really hard for them. It's showed very much different than their gameplay in the previous games. They doomed after they only played with 10 players.

They had poor finishing, and their goalie must retire. I don't even see the worthiness to use Neues as a goalkeeper, he's too old, and declined. It's time to replace him. Hopefully, they will use the result as their evaluation.

Bayern Munich losing to Bayern Leverkusen in the DFB cup match they played yesterday showed how important Harry Kane is to the team because if he had featured in that match, there was no way he wouldn't have scored. Red card is a very huge setback for any team in football because it destabilizes the players such that it's always hard to cover up for the player that was sent out of the pitch and even though the Red card was giving to their goal keeper Manuel Neuer, it really affected Bayern's gameplay entirely. Manuel Neuer has really spent enough time at Bayern Munich but he is getting older and the team needs a player who is still young and has the ability to do his job very well as the goal keeper so Bayern Munich should consider replaying the Manuel Neuer. For Harry Kane, i don't see this season passing him by without a trophy because he is really putting all his efforts just for Bayern Munich to succeed and get back their title glory.

Kane is a goal machine for Bayern Munich, but due to a thigh muscle injury, he will be absent from this match. Kane's position is indeed irreplaceable, so it seems that after the winter ends, Bayern Munich must recruit a new striker to strengthen the depth of the squad, and in case a key player like Kane is injured. So that the team's performance remains stable when on the field.

and regarding the DFB match between Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen, playing with 10 players and without Kane due to injury and Neuer who could not last longer under the goalpost due to a red card, the team seemed to have difficulty in being able to attack and defend well, so that in the end Munich had to admit defeat to Leverkusen. On the other hand, regarding the red card received by Neuer, the goalkeeper should have remained under the goalpost and not left the penalty box to block the opponent's attack, a less than ideal decision taken by Neuer considering that there were still two defenders trying to break up the attack.

Bayern Munich and Leverkusen are both very strong and well performing teams.  Due to which the match between them was difficult. If you have seen their match, Leverkusen also managed to score only 1 goal, although they are also a strong team. The reason for this is that Bayern Munich's record is very good and strong, if you look at their close matches, they have only lost 2 times, so I don't think there will be a better record than this because they have a stronger team in their record.  Even a match must have passed with defeat. We should also see that Leverkusen is better than Bayern Munich which is why they won this match but it would not have mattered to Bayern Munich but they will definitely want to win this match because they are a strong team.
I wouldn't call Leverkusen better team just because of one game, you do not become better due to just one game, you become better if you are better overall and that's the most important part. I understand that may not feel that great for many people, but that's the most important part. I feel like the best part that could get better result would be something that could get a greater situation based on this game.

Leverkusen has a great way forward with the cup now, not a lot of teams that would be better than Leverkusen left, only team that would be considered better was Bayern and they got that as a win, so whatever team they face, should be teams either same level as them or worse, and that is a great future path for them.

Leverkusen performed well last season. We were all surprised to see such a great performance by Leverkusen. But this season, Leverkusen's overall performance has been inconsistent. Leverkusen has no chance of winning the Bundesliga title anymore. Leverkusen is 7 points behind Bayern Munich and is in third place in the table.

Leverkusen will try their best to win the DFB Pokal title. I think Leverkusen's biggest obstacle in the DFB Pokal title race is Stuttgart. This team is quite strong. Although Stuttgart's performance has been inconsistent. But I think Stuttgart has the ability to beat Leverkusen. I am waiting to see which team Leverkusen is going to face in the quarter finals.

In the 17th minute, Bayern Munich's plans were ruined by a red card received by their goalkeeper. Manuel Neuer put his team in a big trouble by receiving this red card. Leverkusen became more effective after the red card and finally managed to score a goal and win the match. They were eliminated from the German Cup and now they have no chance of winning the German Cup. They have to focus only on the Bundesliga. Meanwhile, English forward Kane has already lost a trophy.

Frankfurt really surprised me in the DFB Pokal game. They couldn't do anything against Leipzig while I was expecting the opposite.  Sad

It is good for Leipzig though. Because they have been doing really bad in the Bundesliga for a few weeks. They are falling behind in the title competition day by day.

Just like you, I also expected the opposite result because Eintracht Frankfurt is considered more worthy to advance to the next round than RB Leipzig considering their good performance in the Bundesliga. But that's the reality, they lost and no one could predict what might happen in that match. I was a bit surprised that Marmoush couldn't even score a single goal for Frankfurt in this match.
I thought Frankfurt could beat Leipzig even though they were playing away because in that match Frankfurt was better in terms of ball possession but it turned out that ball possession alone was not enough if the resulting attack was not much they had difficulty creating opportunities to score goals on the other hand Leipzig was sharper and very good at building their attacks.

Yeah. But I was also expecting Leipzig to win the match because their performance is great this season. They are at the top 4 of the table while Frankfurt tops the 2nd. However, Leipzig was playing at home, so definitely you should be expecting a win from them since they are playing at home, although Frankfurt did well too, but you think it is not really surprising that Leipzig won the match.

However, Frankfurt is in a better position, and their performance is great, but Leverkusen is coming; they are currently in the 3rd spot of the table. I think the Bundesliga is getting more interesting.

Yes, the red card received by Bayern Munich is one of the factors why they lost in this match and I agree with you that maybe the result of the match would be different when they were still playing with 11 men. Statistics say they can still be superior in ball possession, that means even though they are playing with 10 men they are still very capable of making it difficult for Leverkusen. But of course losing 1 player is a very big problem, they cannot be effective in implementing strategies because of the lack of players, while they have to deal with the number of players +1.

After all, even though Bayern Munich played with only 10 players since the 17th minute, in reality Bayer Leverkusen still needed a lot of time just to score one goal. Because after all, Bayer Leverkusen also just managed to score a goal in the 69th minute and in reality, Bayern Munich still has good ability and performance even though playing with only 10 players. With statistics like that, atleast it is worthy for Bayern Munich to get a win in this match but unfortunately, Bayer Leverkusen managed to take advantage of the moment to beat Bayern Munich and also make Bayern Munich eliminated  in the DFB Pokal this season.

Of course, if Leverkusen cannot win Bundesliga let them be able to win this one. At least Leverkusen will be happy for their victory over Bayern who has always been a threat to them since the beginning of this season.

The most important thing is that Leverkusen should win a trophy for more motivation to keep up their good performance. If not for the red card, it will be impossible for Leverkusen to win Bayern.

This two teams are strong enough in Bundesliga, Bayern Munich and the Leverkusen but when the season started Leverkusen was not powerful that a lot of people was even saying that they can’t go anywhere due to how they started the season with weak performances; but let look at the Leverkusen now in the table there almost to catch up the Bayern Munich from top of the standing.

This season is just that Leverkusen are relax if to say they want to play the same pattern of the game they was playing in their previous season, that their able to remain unbeaten know any teams can able to compete with them this season.
The perception of people often changes, depending on what he sees and then they imagine, indeed Leverkusen started a bad season, but that does not mean they cannot develop better on their season's journey, Bayern Munich who last year had poor performance and today They are much healthier and stronger to do competition tightly in the Bundesliga.
I strongly believe Xabi Alonso can fix it again in the middle of the season to the end, yes even though it is quite difficult because the competitors he also made developments to put stronger pressure on Bayer Leverkusen,

Unpredictable for losing of Frankfurt from TB Leipzig because in Bundesliga have better performance and have higher standings position, the match statistic not really impressive well for Frankfurt performance although have ball possession dominance but only have 1 shot of target than RB Leipzig with 35% ball possession but success having 6 shots of target.

DFB Pokal looks not friendly result for the team dominance in Bundesliga after Bayern Munich eliminating by Bayern Leverkusen although keep unbeaten in domestic league but difficult for defeating Leverkusen at DFB Pokal Cup round of 16. Regarding teams left on quarter final round seems Bayern Leverkusen have opportunity will be the winner back to back.

Leipzig was criticized for their poor performance in recent matches. However, we see that they prepared very well for the Frankfurt match. They won the match by three goals and could not show any presence in Frankfurt. If it was a Bundesliga match, they would have earned a very important 3 points, but they also eliminated an important opponent in the German Cup. It was a morale-boosting night for them for the future.

I didn't watch this match, but it seems that Frankfurt lost tactically to Leipzig. Although Dino Toppmoller's team was more dominant in controlling the ball, in terms of opportunities, Marco Rose's team was far superior. In addition, Leipzig's 3-5-2 pattern worked very well in the match against Frankfurt. Leipzig's three defenders seemed very disciplined, as did their front line duo, Sesko and Openda, who performed impressively based on their statistical records. Meanwhile, in Frankfurt's camp, Omar Marmoush, who usually performed brilliantly in this match, was unable to break through the opponent's goal. Likewise with Hugo Ekitike, he did not contribute much. As for Leipzig, perhaps this victory can raise their mentality and spirit to return better in the Bundesliga. We know very well that Marco Rose's team has been in disarray in their 6 matches across competitions. The victory over Frankfurt at DFB Fokal should be a turning point for them.
