Improvement is a must for Leverkusen next season, despite they had a great performance this season. They will need a more quality and deeper squad when they will play in Champions League, the challenge will be bigger. Signing two or three players with better quality than current player is enough to add some freshness to the squad. They main task is to make sure their starting eleven staying at the club before they make signings.

Alonso need also to prepare some new variant tactics to enter next season. They can't keep playing the same tactics as this season for the whole next season, other teams will have anticipation on how play against them, and it will be harder season for them. Maintenance is more difficult than development, Alonso will need more support to maintain their performance to repeat the success.

The latest rumor is that Man City is interested in including Xabi on the list of Man City coaches to replace Pep in the coming summer. Ah, this is not good. But I still believe that if Xabi will stay at Leverkusen. Indeed, Man City is a promising club, but Leverkusen is beyond expectations. Xabi has been able to lift Leverkusen this far and is this good, what they have to do is improve him, no matter how. Leverkusen, alongside with Xabi will still have high chance to win Bundesliga and also DFB pokal again next season. But for the UCL, they must get much better efforts to compete with high top clubs in Europa. but it doesn't mean to underestimate Leverkusen. this club has done great job last season. and with Xabi, the probabilty to reach higher target may be true enough.

There will definitely be additions or changes to players. It seems there are players who are out and Xabi is also definitely developing a strategy to target tag players. Yes, however, now Leverkusen has become a top club. and they will join UCL next season. So, in any case, Xabi has brought together several more talented players who will be his key players in the future. But as you say, you don't need many, just a few who are really suitable and can make the team much stronger. No major changes, only few that will exactly boost up again their strength.

Xabi also said that he is going to sit down with Simon Rolfes, the Leverkusen Director to talk about what the best planning for the next season. It also includes who will they target to. So, we are just waiting for their decision to bid the best player for Leverkusen.

I don’t think Bayern Leverkusen needs a lot more new players if their current players are not leaving to join other teams now. He will only need few players to join to the team which I am sure will not be a big deal or a difficult one for the club to provide the finances for it. He can still build on his existing players to make them a formidable team as they were in this season. I have full faith in Xabi Alonso and I know he can’t do it again next season.


I won’t see a major change in the Bundesliga next season if they still wants to play with the tactics they use this season. They can as well have a plan B in case the existing plan doesn’t work in their favour since many teams would have already understood that from them now.  Asides that, I don’t see any major change that can have effect on their performance come next season.

Until proven otherwise, Bayern Munich chose the wrong coach. The club is just gambling on the future of the club by appointing a relatively inexperienced coach. I have tried to uncover the criteria that Bayern used to appoint him and it is difficult to find any outstanding reason. Was it because  Vincent Kompany had experience with the Bundesliga during his days in Hamburg or because he speaks German fluently. Was it because of his performance in the Championship last season? Why didn't they evaluate him with his present days with Burnley which led them to relegation?

Some pundits have argued that successful coaches like Mikel Arteta and Xabi Alonso don't have any coaching experience, but they are doing well in their clubs. So we don't have to write off Bayern Munich because, with the right players and support, the Kompany can do the extraordinary. I think Bayern Munich will still be a contender for the number one spot in the Bundesliga.

Why did you say so? Is there a justification to your statements? Because I remember they have an incredible run so far in the history of European football and I'm not sure is there is any news about any player eager to live. The majority of Leverkusen players want to stay because of what they have achieve this season and who doesn't want to be associated with a good preforming club and a good coach that everyone is looking forward to have on their side.


No one definitely know what will happen to a team performance the next season but do you see what is happening in Premier League? For 4 seasons, a single team won the Premier League in one of the toughest league ever and they don't even looks like they are stopping next season as they are even more stronger than ever and you think another team can't do the same in another league, nothing is impossible most especially when the team and coach are too good.

I do not think that it will go on for a very long time, because financial situations means that Bayern will keep being at the top for a very long time. Because other teams do not have the income that Bayern Munich does, and because of that we are going to see Bayern Munich will always have the best players on their club, they could just go buy the best players at Leverkusen if they want to, these guys spent 120 million to get Kane last season, you think if they offered 120 million they can't get players from Leverkusen?

They can get any they want, probably a few. Doesn't mean they will, it just means that they are going to be able to keep being the best team and keep winning, and they lost for the first time in over a decade, so it's fine.

With the performance that Xabi has shown this season, I think the management and club officials will not hesitate to support Xabi in adding depth to the squad, even though it could cost a lot of the budget. Competing in the Champions League while trying to defend the Bundesliga trophy will of course not be easy, Xabi needs additional ammunition to be able to bring Leverkusen to conquer various challenges and achieve targets next season.

With a very solid team, the adventure of Xabi and his fleet next season will be easier, especially if they all stay at the club and don't leave. Several important Leverkusen players will definitely receive offers from other European elite clubs, and Xabi certainly has to be very astute in dealing with this, while looking at the potential of other players who can be recruited in the next transfer window.

Last summer, Xakha was one of Leverkusen most successful recruits, because in his first season he immediately had a big influence on the team, so that Leverkusen was able to win two trophies. I think Xabi will again look for players with the same characteristics as Xhaka, of course those who have experience playing in the Champions League, so that Leverkusen can have an instant impact, without taking a long time to adapt to the existing squad.

I am sure that the strong contenders for the Bundesliga trophy next season will not be Bayer Leverkusen with Bayern Munich, but Bayer Leverkusen with Dortmund, Leipzig or maybe another surprise team. Because I'm sure, Bayern Munich will still be in chaos because it seems like Bayern Munich chose the wrongcoach and because of that,I'm sure Bayern Munich will be out of contention for the Bundesliga title next season. With the chaos experienced by Bayern Munich,I also believe that the era of Bayern Munich in the Bandesliga is over and next, we might get several other teams who will win the Bundesliga trophy.

Bayern Leverkusen got themselves in the history books as they have been able to win their first ever Bundesliga title. The win over Werder Bremen was enough to hell them seal up their place in first place and get them the trophy. Their run to this win of the title has been one that’s been quite fascinating especially as they haven’t recorded any loss in their way up till this moment and also none across all competitions. This performance is real top notch and as such you can imagine how much efforts the boys and Xabi Alonso have put in to the success of this.

 Alonso has very much been impressive in his performances for Leverkusen. He's been watched and observed and in all his games, he's proven to present an outstanding and formidable team. He's just new in the business but yet still has set up a formidable team. I really won't be surprised if he's beckoned up on by bigger clubs to show his abilities. He's proven to be worthy to handle well any team presented to him and definitely I believe he can do well if another team is put in his care. Maybe his strategies work well for him and can still work well with another team. With Leverkusen, he's done well and he's working towards an aim for the club. He's been watched closely to see how well he'd be able to keep up with the games for the team and see how well he can uphold against their biggest threat in the Bundesliga.

 He's just been able to prove himself worthy to take on a higher ranked club. His good at what he's done so far even with a less productive squad as Leverkusen, now one would imagine how enormous he'd achieve with a productive squad with higher player capacity and quality. He's another one amongst many players turn coach that did well both in the pitch and in the manager's box too. I really won't be surprised if he's beckoned up on by bigger clubs to show his abilities.

Alonso deserves a very big award from Leverkusen after he was able to win the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal, this season the prize money obtained from the championship is certainly not big but even so at least it will lift the prestige and popularity of Leverkusen later, two trophies after 120 years without a title is certainly a very remarkable achievement even though there are no star players in their squad,  Alonso this season has done a very good job and we can even say it has been the perfect journey in winning domestic trophies.

Leverkusen next season will play in the Champions League and as we know, if the Champions League is an elite league filled with elite clubs and has a quality squad, so if indeed Leverkusen wants to make a surprise again next season of course Alonso must be given a large budget to add depth to their squad, this season we can indeed say if the Leverkusen squad is good enough but still they need additional players who are indeed Able to improve their performance to be better than this season.

With the current players, Leverkusen is still capable of competing in every competition next season, but if they want to strengthen the team next season, they should add more players to their squad because we have seen how their performance was weak in Europe League final. Their performance was strong from the start of the season but they couldn't maintain their winning ways against Atalanta. If the management is not going to buy more players, they shouldn't sell off their current players during the transfer window because that will have an impact on their games next season. Of course, the Bundesliga will be more challenging next season because every team will buy more players since Leverkusen has broken Bayern Munich's record for winning the title this season, I believe every team in the Bundesliga will feel strong enough to win the title next season. So the management needs to get more players because other clubs have understood their way of playing this season.


Whatever they achieved this season we can call it hard work or by luck. In my opinion, if it was hard work they could have put more strength in the Europa League final. However, I doubt Xabi Alonso for next season because it is not only Bayern Munich that will pressure them for the title next season, I believe that many clubs will improve their games next season, like Stuttgart who finished the season in second place. Let's see if the history will repeat itself next season.

I think he should be given a good amount of money for the results that he has brought in this season. So that he will be able to bring in similar or better results in the next season as well. However, I highly doubt that he will be able to get better results than the results that he has already brought in. Because I do not expect him to win the champions league competition with Leverkusen. That is going to be a big surprise for everyone. But anyway I think this season has been magical for them. Winning the Bundesliga title and winning the DFB Pokal, it was definitely a dream come true since nobody in the last 11 years was able to win the Bundesliga title except from Bayern Munich.

I hope next season is going to be so great for them as well. I wonder if they will be able to win the Bundesliga in the next season again.

As the Leverkusen team players were in great form, we all thought Leverkusen would win the Europa League title. But Atalanta's players performed well. On the other hand, the performance of the Leverkusen players in this match was also a bit slow. So until the end of the match, Atalanta won an excellent 3-0.

After winning the title this season, fans will be expecting more from Leverkusen next season. The Leverkusen management should certainly look to strengthen their squad next season. I doubt Leverkusen will be able to continue their good performances next season unless the squad is more strong.

I'm not a seer but I can presume next season to be very competitive in all the top and major leagues in Europe. Bundesliga will not be left behind to witness this competition because Bayern Munich will definitely come back stronger with the aim of reclaiming their championship next season. Bayern Munich new couch will also try to impress the management with his work next season in order to build trust and confidence between the management and himself. Leverkusen should not be distract from the media hype, they should maintain their performance as if they are struggling to come out from relegation zone.

I believe that if their management is ready to spend money on transfer market, majority of players will be interested to join them because they have earn themselves the recognition on the media with their incredible unbeaten record. Players now especially the upcoming younger ones are interested in a team like that where they can be talked about in order to be famous and boost their career to higher level.

I was just going to share that information with you friends. Kompany is officially the Bayern Munich manager now. 

There is so much criticism on the choice of Bayern Munich honestly. I also have my own doubts about Kompany for now. Promoting to the Premier League with Burnley was nice but the team were able to stay there for only one season.    But if Kompany turns out to be a good rival for Xabi Alonso... Then things can get very interesting. 

I would be happy with watching a head-to-head title competition between these two until the end of the season next time.

Do you think those players he used this season to achieved those performance will not going to perform well next season? I don't think so, because those players are very good in this season which they can still make their coach proud to lift next season trophy.

I believe Bayer Leverkusen coach will train his players very well against next season, so that they will be able to lift two or one trophy next season because they will be joining UEFA champions league competition next season.
I have full confident on Bayer Leverkusen, that they will do well next season and they will not allow what happened in this season to happen next season, because they missed UEFA Europa league trophy which was their major target to win but they lost against Atalanta team.

Every season will definitely give birth to new dynamics and each team will also prepare its squad very well to achieve its targets. Likewise with Bayer Leverkusen, they will also overhaul their squad even though they are not dominant. It will not be easy for Alonso to make his team appear sensational again but he will definitely try to defend the title and also be able to compete in the Champions League later.

Bayern Munich, which has always been a strong candidate in the Bundesliga, has also appointed Kompany as the new coach. Maybe the management really hopes that he will be able to bring the Bavarians back as rulers, but many people still doubt Kompany, making Alonso still the favorite to defend his title.

There's so much uncertainty in the mind of football fans across the globe regarding the future of Bayer Leverkusen in the coming seasons after their great achievements of the just concluded season. The club achieved so many surprising results that many people never thought they would get at the beginning of the season and now that they went on to defile the odds, the question now is id they can retain impressive performance beyond the just concluded season. Xabi Alonso isn't a magician and everything he achieved this season never came with luck but because of how he mastered the act of coaching so I strongly believe that he'll still continue to record good results with the club if he continues to remain at the club.
It's always easier to win the league title than to successfully defend it so I know it'll be difficult for Bayer Leverkusen to retain the league title come next season since Bayern Munich now have a new manager but i strongly believe that they stand a good chance of winning the German Bundesliga title again come next season.

Leverkusen has created history by not only being undefeated in the Bundesliga, but Leverkusen being the only team unbeaten in domestic competition. Maybe there will be another team in the future that can make an unbeaten record in the league, but it will be very difficult to be unbeaten in domestic competitions (Bundesliga and DFB Pokal). They will play in the Champions League next season. I think Alonso has to spend on players in the transfer window this season. In fact, they played with a team that had average individual skills. Leverkusen needs several players who have good individual abilities to make Alonso's tactics more perfect.
