In my opinion it is a pretty controversial choice, but Bayern wasn't actually left with many other options. If I was Kompany, I wouldn't have hesitated and immediately taken the opportunity. It is not about him, but for Bayern I think it is a step back. He should be given a chance of course, but I remember when they decided to sign Kovac as a coach and he failed big time. You can quickly notice when Bayern doesn't have a coach who is a big name. Tuchel is a good coach, but has been lucky a couple of times in his career. They had Heynckes, Ancelotti, Guardiola, van Gaal and some other great names.

It won't be easy for Kompany because he will be asked whether he knows that he was like option number 6 or so. I am still surprised that so many coaches declined the offer. When the name Roger Schmidt from Benfica came up, I thought he could be someone who goes for it, but no. Glasner, quite a nobody and also declined. Nagelsmann declined.

Tuchel made fun of them because I think he never intended to really continue his work there. He gave them hope for a moment to then drop them.

The appointment of Vincent Kompany as Bayern Munich's coach have caused mixed reactions. Munich didn't really have much options to select from. Kompany's selection is seen by some as a step back for the club. The thoughts surrounding his appointment stems from past instances where Bayern struggled under coaches who didn't have the same pedigree as renowned names like Heynckes, Ancelotti, Guardiola, and van Gaal. There are doubts about whether Kompany can fill the shoes of his big named predecessors and lead Bayern to continued success.

Kompany's challenge at Bayern is increased by the fact that he wasn't the first choice for the role, potentially leaving him in a position where he has to prove himself with the doubts about his suitability for the job. The decline of renowned coaches like Nagelsmann and the perceived lack of interest from others like Tuchel may raise eyebrows and lead to questions about Bayern's motive as a coaching destination.

Tuchel's talks about Bayern Munich's coaching situation shows the uncertainty surrounding the club's managerial hunt. Kompany's tenure at Bayern will undoubtedly be closely monitored, with his success or failure potentially impacting views about the club's coaching decisions for seasons to come.

I'll give a big clap for bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart for their unique performance this season for thier unique form and positiom on the league, Leverkusen has created a history of been unbeaten in their league, I would never had expected them to do this well but what was beyern doing, although they did well but they couldn't leave this season with any trophy even as a big team that has been winning their league for so long now, they even lost this match against Hoffenheim, I must say their performance wasn't the best this season, although i can't blame tuchel, he has been a good coach but I think it's the start of a whole new history where every club gets to win the league now.

Bayern has been playing quality football that would dominate the league for many years. But this season they could not achieve this anymore. I don't know whether the coach or the players in the team should be blamed here. In general, we can say that everyone has a failure.
I don't think there is a significant difference between finishing second or third in the league. That's why I don't think it matters much that they lost the last match. They could not earn any points from the last match because they conceded 2 goals in the last minutes of the match

It is true that Vincent Kompany failed in the Premier League by bringing Burnley back to the Championchip, but this is not solely because of Vincent Kompany, if you look at Burnley's depth they are not worthy of competing with EPL teams because their Premier League team has many great players. Vincent Kompany doesn't can develop Burnley well.

Now the opportunity has arrived for him to lead the Munich club which cannot be denied with a luxurious squad there, this is an opportunity for him to prove that the nonsense that happened to him was a mistake, even though currently Xabi and his team are in good form, but next season will not be meaning they will be the same as before.
An interesting duel between young coaches that is worth looking forward to, both of them have good experience as players and will now compete as coaches in the Bundesliga, even though Xabi is the favorite here, that doesn't mean Vincent Kompany will lose in this competition, of course in football anything is possible happen.
I agree that it wasn't really his issue alone, in fact it was mostly not his issue and that is why nobody could question his talents. However, isn't the point hiring someone who has proven themselves to be overachievers even at higher clubs?

Unai Emery wasn't given a chance for champions league spot neither, but look where he finished the team and I believe that he deserved to be here a lot more. Just because "Vincent Kompany was given a team terrible enough to relegate so he relegated the team which was expected" doesn't mean that we should find that appealing. Bayern Munich will be managed by a person who is barely a manager right now, not even have much experience, and I bet that they could have found someone who is much much better.
Kompany's appointment as coach is really like a gamble, I don't understand what Bayern Munich's management is thinking. In fact, a big team like Munich must be managed by a great figure who has a reputation. Currently, there are quite a lot of trainers available, such as Allegri, who has just parted ways with Juventus. The man from Italy already has quite a lot of experience even though he has never tasted the Champions League title, but at least he is very suitable for the job. I think this might be the beginning of Bayern Munich's decline in the Bundesliga and they will have difficulty winning the title again.
I was surprised that Bayern Munich's management finally appointed Kompany as their new head coach. Kompany's performance at Burnley in the Premier League was not good enough, and Burnley got relegated because of the tactics Kompan used. Kompany only won five matches with Burnley in the Premier League last season, and he is not experienced enough to change Bayern Munich's situation. Bayern Munich will still struggle next season in the Bundesliga because Kompany cannot help Bayern Munich win most of their Bundesliga matches.

Both teams have had the best development in the season that has just passed, certainly no one predicted that Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart would be teams that could compete well in the Bundesliga and get rid of Bayern Munich as defending champions because that is not an easy thing, often other teams just good at the start but slowly it will fail, that's why Bayern Munich continues to be champion, maybe Bayern Munich seems to be lulled because they are sure they will become champions again and don't notice that other teams have succeeded in improving.
Bayer Leverkusen may no doubt still be a good team competing here but Stuttgart, who knows whether they will still be good next season, especially if they are willing to sell Sehrou Guirassy because their rival clubs are really want to get the productive striker.
This season was the worst season of the past few seasons when Bayern Munich had to end up in 3rd place and this failure occurred after Bayern Munich chose Tuchel as coach which made all fans very disappointed and what was worse, Bayern Munich's policy became even worse when they chose Kompany to become the new coach to replace Tuchel who could worsen Bayern Munich's condition in the coming season.
Not sure what the purpose of Bayern Munich is to have a policy like this while Leverkusen and Stuttgart have beaten Bayern Munich which the president of Bayern Munich should have realized but instead chose an inexperienced coach.

Talking about Sehrou Guirassy, it looks like Stuttgart has had a good achievement this season after eliminating Bayern Munich and it is unlikely that Sehrou Guirassy will be sold to a rival club.
This was all done because Stuttgart was motivated by Leverkusen who could win the Bundesliga title and get rid of Bayern Munich again.

It is not only because of the development of Leverkusen and Stuttgart that they have been able to outperform Bayern Munich this season, but it is true that Bayern Munich's performance this season has declined slightly and they have not been consistent, making them unable to compete fiercely in defending the Bundesliga title.

Stuttgart is a team that has developed slowly over the past few seasons so it is very likely that next season they will also be better, especially as those who will play in the UCL will definitely build this team much stronger to be able to compete on the European stage.

Meanwhile, I am sure that Leverkusen will become stronger after Xabi Alonso decided to stay at Leverkusen, so Xabi's influence is very large, so if management supports Xabi in purchasing quality players, next season they will be much stronger.

In fact, I have doubts about Bayern Munich next season, they brought in a coach who doesn't have good experience, this is really a big gamble on what Bayern management will do even though they want to quickly recover next season.

Bayern Munich bringing in another inexperienced coach will bring more problems to the club, and even if they have good players, if they don’t get a new manager, they will still face the same problems they faced because now I believe Bayern Munich will want to perform aggressively so that they will get their performance back and get their Bundesliga title back after Bayern Leverkusen took it from them this year.

However, I don’t think Komapny is going to be capable of handling Bayern Munich and solving their problem, or did we think Bayern Munich's deformity was due to players? To me, having good players is just coaching skills that their former manager lacks, and now that they have signed Kompany as their manager, I hope he will be able to get the team performance back and also win a title for them.
Company, this is a kind of experiment, they think that since young Alonso managed to achieve success with Bayer, then Company can also succeed, but in fact, this is just an attempt that does not have a good reason.
That's pretty much the same as when bayern was sacking naglesmann then replace him with tuchel, right? I think this is even worst than it.

I see that Bayern has a grudge against Tuchel, they accuse him of having agreed with MU in advance that he could replace ten Hag, but firstly this has not happened yet, and secondly I don’t see anything wrong with it, since there were talks that Tuchel would leave the team in the summer, long before the end of the season, so they knew this and it is logical that Tuchel could look for other acceptable options for a new job.
Bayern never accused Tuchel of having reached an agreement with United, that's wrong. Don't you recall when Bayern made him an offer to stay for another season, but Tuchel refused it on his own? It demonstrates how Tuchel is always committed to his word because he siad he would be leaving from there at the end of season and he fulfilled his promise. Tuchel disliked how Bayern was treating him at the club.
Bayern may be struggling to recruit a new coach. This is why the team embarked on an experiment to get Kompany to the club.

In principle, I always respect anyone, but Kompany has accepted a quite challenging job because he has absolutely no experience in managing a team that has a big reputation in Europe. Apart from that, he will also be faced with a situation where he must be able to build good communication with senior players like Neur and Muller, which is certainly not easy. Honestly, I am pessimistic about Kompany for the next season, he will definitely feel tremendous pressure if he fails to compete with Bayer Leverkusen or Dortmund.
Is it possible that a new disaster will be felt by Bayern Munich next season, because in general Bayern Munich needs a coach who is truly extraordinary and can change more of the talent of the players in the team? But if Vincent Kompany is really unable to change the performance of the Bayern Munich team this coming season, it will be quite embarrassing for Bayern Munich. Because his team had to lose to several other teams that usually dominate the Bundesliga or like the teams that have dominated the Bundesliga this season, namely Leverkusen and Dortmund.
There is no doubt this is one of the most shocking news happen around here but with things are going everyone having right to give his best and Vincent Kompany is also having this as well with his first four years as coach are not ideal because he is having 42% and 45% success ratio which is not suitable for the person who is going to manage Bayern Munich with this season is going to be important for the both parties because if he fails to bring positive results then surely we are going to have the good number of changes and things will be surely not favourable for the Bayern Munich management to have any excuse specially after they are already having end their season at the 13 years lowest ranking and performance.

Challenges are waiting for them with Bayer Leverkusen is looking for the double and Stuttgart and RB Leipzig are also having good performance which they want to improve and having better results in this season.

I am very surprised to see this news. Why did a team like Bayern Munich decide to coach Vincent Kompany? We knew Tuchel would be fired by Bayern Munich. Because this season, Munich could not win the Bundesliga title, and the team was in third place in the table. But I thought Bayern Munich would sack Thomas Tuchel and look for a more experienced coach. But Bayern Munich have given 38-year-old Vincent Kompany the reins of the team.

Vincent Kompany has not done badly as Burnley's coach. However, Burnley are a mediocre team. But now he has become the coach of one of the best clubs in Europe. Munich wants to win the Bundesliga and Champions League titles. However, Vincent Kompany is not experienced for the Champions League platform. So I'm not sure if Bayern Munich can dominate the Bundesliga and Champions League next season.
Club like Bayern Munich having coach like Kompany is currently talk of the soccer world with no one were expecting anything related to this specially after having Burnley is relegated, and they are now having to give their best for coming back into Premier League which is never been easy job but Kompany is now having dream job which is going to be had just simple way out for him with in case of having any problems he is going to be first coach to be sacked in coming season but if we are going to have him on his best then surely this is going to be had the biggest achievement for the Bayern Munich which is rejected by many coaches due to their behaviour about their recent coaches.

Kompany is having good experience of playing in team like Manchester City with Pepe Guardiola is having good time with him but now how is he going to handle this giant club in Champions League this is the biggest concern so with him now we have to check Harry Kane who join this club for winning trophies is his luck going to help him, or he is going to have things like he was having at the Tottenham.

I really havnt heard anything from Vincent Kompany and how he is working , but i guess that he was the only Coach that wanted to be in Munich.
If Kompany is the right one for this job for maybe doing a better performance as last season i have my doubts.
But we will see how this goes and if he will be the first coach again that will get sacked if they dont win much at the beginning.

Coaching a mediocre team and coaching a renowned champions like Bayern Munich can never be similar. Coaching star players is difficult. And Kompany might be talented. But he is not experienced. Kompany was the coach of Burnley, this season Burnley did not play well and did not qualify for the Premier League. Moreover, another important thing is that Bayern Munich will definitely want to win the Champions League title. Kompany has no experience on the Champions League platform.

We don't know why Bayern Munich's experienced management put Kompany in charge of the team. However, KOmpany will probably be more diligent and try to make the Bayern Munich squad even stronger.

Bayern Munich's decision to hire Vincent Kompany seemed to be in desperation, because previously Bayern Munich wanted to recruit great coaches like Xabi Aanso and several other great coaches but they were all rejected. Maybe Bayern's management method is to recruit Vincent Kompany, apart from the fact that there is no top coach who wants to train Bayern. Or so that every mistake can easily be blamed on the coach, especially as coaches like Vincent Kompany are easily scapegoated.

But personally, I saw the way he coached Burnley last season, his game was good to look at. But unfortunately Burnley's player material may not suit Kompany's tactics. Well, maybe with the different and more classy player material that Bayern Munich has, maybe the results would be different. I think Bayern Munich next season will appear more different and of course will compete again for the Bundesliga trophy and be able to compete in the UCL League with Vincent Kompany.

Leverkusen has been the team that has received the most praise this season for its success in winning the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal. No one would have thought that Leverkusen would perform consistently without ever losing in one season. Leverkusen improving performance will increase competition next season, the Bundesliga habit of only being dominated by one club has ended this season. Stuttgart also made a big surprise after finishing in second place. Stuttgart success in reaching runner-up forced Bayern Munich to settle for finishing in third place.

There have been so many changes that have occurred in the Bundesliga this season, one of the most highlighted being the decline in Bayern Munich performance since being coached by Tuchel. Now Bayern Munich has appointed a new coach to replace Tuchel, Vincent Kompany has been trusted to handle the team starting next season. Hopefully Bayern Munich will not appoint the wrong coach after they experienced major failure this season.

Kompany should given a chance and let us see what he gat for Bayern next season. It is not good to underestimate a coach because he did not win trophies during his days as a player. He might be able to do well in coaching. This was the same way we all critized De Rossi, but he was able to surprise us by winning his first five matches and only lost to Inter. So I think we need to see what Kompany will be able to do, if he will be not be able to win a trophy to Bayern next season like just like he didn'twhen he was as a player
Vincent Kompany is Bayern Munich new coach, take it or leave it been forwarded to the fans and other persons that have failed to acknowledge it. Rumours circulating about the incompetence of Vincent Kompany, he's yet to gain experience when it comes to managing a club and not just random average team but this time an elite club. This is really a nightmare because everything happen so far and Vincent Kompany wouldn't dissapoint but deliver his best for the Bavarians to progress.

I highly doubt Vincent Kompany has the ability to manage a squad as big and star-studded as Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich has a lot of star players. And managing and controlling star players is not an easy task. It requires experience. Vincent Kompany is not experienced enough.

I've never seen the Burnley team play so well with the help of Vincent Kompany. Burnley have fallen into the relegation zone this season. This team won only 5 matches in Premier League. So we don't see Vincent Kompany as a very good coach. Why Bayern Munich management appointed Vincent Kompany as their head coach is still beyond me. Personally I think Thomas Tuchel is more talented and experienced than Vincent Kompany.

Winning its first Bundesliga trophy after more than a century of its existence in the bundesliga. It's amazing to see that Xabi Alonso has become the coach who breaks it and leverkusen was also getting DFB pokal too. Leverkusen is not having a lot of fantastic players, but it was able to achieve an unbeatable record this season, not losing a single match. This is what makes me really appreciate what xabi alonso has done to the club. He is also developing leverkusen's players at the same time
Things might be different if Bayern kept Naglesmann rather than replacing him with Tuchel. It was allowing Xabito have ez time to dominate the league with his present team. Nobody can be faulted for Bayern's terrible performance because any parties contributed to the bayern's lost this season.

Having Kane was insufficient for Bayern to defend its record as a club that has dominated the Bundesliga for over a decade.
Its amazing journey of Xabi Alonso success destroying Bayern Munich dominance more than eleven season back to back become the Bundesliga winner, it only took season and half since arrived Xabi Alonso success winning Bundesliga trophy and become first for Bayern Leverkusen since their appearance in Bundesliga competition. The management have right decision appointing Xabi Alonso become manager although he come from junior team of Real Sociedad manager before become Bayern Leverkusen manager. Getting double winner in this season become impressive result for Bayern Leverkusen and personally for Xabi Alonso, but miss one great opportunity after losing UEFA Europe League trophy defeated by Atalanta in the final match.

Destroying Bayern Munich dominance in Bundesliga competition is good way how to make this competition not get called as farmer league any more, wish for next season Bayern Munich with Vincent Kompany can make more competitive for tittle race and make difficult for Bayern Leverkusen for defending their Bundesliga trophy.

I completely agree. Leverkusen historic achievement in Bundesliga under Xabi Alonso management is truly admirable. While not winning Europa League may be disappointment it does not diminish their accomplishments. In fact it presents opportunity for growth and improvement. Xabi and team can learn valuable lessons from defeat which will serve them well in upcoming Champions League. It is essential to maintain focus and approach each game with  winning mindset building on their successes and using setbacks as motivation to push forward. Leverkusen future looks bright under Xabi leadership and I'm excited to see them continue to thrive.

I consider that everything is a learning process without any doubt, for Xabi this is an experience that he cannot forget, it is also very good that it happened this way because he prepares himself with much more fear in the UCL, in the UCL they cannot arrive with feelings of triumphalism because the worst thing they can do is that, it's not that they were confident in the Europa League, but fundamentally I'm sure that this helped Xabi to understand many things, apart from this I admire what a gentleman Xabi is in recognising Atalanta's triumph, he was the first to set an example by applauding and recognising that they were far superior.

Sometimes the major club has to endure a loss and it's something common in the football. I meant it wasn't always about dominating the competition. This season, Leverkuen has worked tirelessly to win both the DFB Pokal and the Bundesliga trophy and they totally deserved it. Gasperini identified Leverkusen's biggest weakness, making the forthcoming season even more difficult.
Xabi Alonso needs to bolster his squad in preparation for the upcoming challenging season.

If today was 1st of April, I would be 100% convinced that Bayern appointing Vincent Kompany is an April's fool joke. But apparently this is really happening.
I get that he had some success in getting Burnley to the big boys league and he even earned a few EFL Championship Manager of the Month awards in the process, but he's just not there yet in terms of proving he's capable of running a top European club.
Maybe if he was to manage to get Burnley to the middle of the Premier League table we could speculate that he might be naturally great and talented, but his team got relegated after winning only 5 games in the entire season. That's not really something to brag about.
From the brief reading I've done, the media are speculating that Bayern has failed to secure other candidates and might not have had too many other options available. This is the only angle that makes sense to me.
Whoever is going to win the Bundesliga next season, I'm pretty sure it won't be Bayern.
That's right, Bayern Munich seems to be experiencing fear and wants to make sure their offer is no longer rejected, a reasonable reason why they appointed Vincent Kompany as Tuchel successor next season. It is believed that becoming the coach of a team like Bayern Munich is a big step in Vincent Kompany managerial career, but the challenges he will face will be very steep. I also think that Vincent Kompany career with Burnley has been mediocre, which is understandable perhaps because the depth of the squad is not that good. In my opinion, Vincent Kompany appointment looks reckless, because he still lacks experience.

In my opinion, the competition for the Bundesliga trophy next season will remain fierce and competitive, Vincent Kompany is being asked to bring Bayern Munich back to being champions. That is not an easy task to carry out in his first season, because Xabi Alonso Leverkusen are still showing the same level of consistency. It is possible that Vincent Kompany will be fired in the middle of the season if he fails to meet expectations, because it would be quite a shame if Kane failed to win the Bundesliga trophy again next season.
