I assume not many people were expecting Dortmund to lose points against Werder Bremen. Considering their last head-to-heads at this stadium, Dortmund won all of them. But here we saw only a 0-0 draw.  Sad  It makes one sad to see this result after betting on the favourite side to win... I just don't learn not to place bets on a side to win in the Bundesliga this often.

On the next match week, Dortmund are hosting Heidenheim. I know it is early to talk about it but I'm still curious. Because the way Heidenheim started the season is quite interesting.  Smiley  Maybe both teams to score and over 2.5 goals would be decent choices.

Roll Eyes Expecting Dortmund to drop points in any game is normal, isn't it? I don't know why it should be any different this season. Heidenheim started off strong, but only because they were drawn against two outsiders at the start. Dortmund should easily beat them at home (unless it's that day again when Dortmund outcome randomly).
Borussia made it to the finals of the UCL last year. When we think about this, isn't it normal to have high expectations from Borussia Dortmund? I was expecting them to make a better start, but they've already stumbled. They have bigger games ahead of them and if they want to win the championship, they need to continue without losing. They need to show their Champions League performance from last year in every tournament this year.
From the performance of borussia Dortmund last season no one will expect that they will get to the point where they even made it to the Champions League finals last season but then they were so lucky to get to the finals even though they were underperforming in their domestic league through out the season.

Coming to this season Dortmund were supposed to have improved in their performance after they experienced the final of the champions league competition against Real Madrid and they were affected but yet again they aren't doing well as expected though they have played just two matches where they won one and secured a draw in their last match, they need to strengthen up their performance and show some level of superiority as a team that has experienced some maturity in the league so that they won't be dropping points in the league anyhow.

Well, for Heidenheim, they certainly started with a perfect pace in the first two matches by winning two matches. Of course this is a good trend for them to stay consistent in the next matches because in the next match they will face Dortmund. Of course it's a big match because Dortmund will be looking to get back to winning ways and also they are playing at home which means the bookies will probably favor Dortmund as the winner.
Yes, it's quite surprising for a small club where this is only their second season in the Bundesliga but they have been able to give their best in the first 2 matches even apart from being the most productive club in these 2 matches, they are also the only club to keep a cleansheet and this is a good thing for Heidenheim.

Last season they did well to move up and finish 8th and in the Conference League at the end of the table and they are looking to repeat that this season. However, this can't be a complacency because if it's not taken care of, they could lose momentum just like Union did last season especially when their schedule is already quite busy, which will be dangerous for Heidenheim if this is a complacency at the beginning of the season.

Bayern Munich and Leipzig have shown that they are going to fight for the league title this season, bayern Munich and Leipzig are playing very well this season
The season is still young and at the beginning so i guess there will be coming a few more teams into that fight.
After 2 matchdays you cant say really if they keep that performance and others maybe catching up.
But yeah Bayern Munich and Leipzif are for sure always teams that have the ability to be in the top of the table.
Leverkusen , Dortmund and maybe Stuttgart will be recover and join this party , or Heidenheim making a surprise this season.
Bayern Munich, Heidenheim and Leipzig managed to get perfect points in their two matches this season and make  these three teams are at the top of the temporary standings, I saw Leipzig and Bayern Munich so far playing very impressively by beating their opponents, but what surprised me the most was Heidenheim has also performed quite impressively so far, Heidenheim last season managed to end the season in 8th place and surprisingly they have so far been able to maintain their performance well and I hope they will be a surprise team this season like Leverkusen last season.

Bayern Munich, Heidenheim and Leipzig are still very perfect so far, but the competition is still too early for us to say a team as the favorite to be winner, at this time we cannot say that these teams will be able to consistently achieve victory, let alone teams like Bayern Munich and Leipzig will facing a busy schedule when they had to play in the Champions League, so if the coaches fail to rotate their players well of course defeat might happen to the their teams in the match.

As I said before at the start of this season, people expected to see a perfect performance from Leverkusen during this season even if they make one mistake that's not right because the Leverkusen fans think they should still stay unbeaten and they should still win the Bundesliga title while even a great team like Leverkusen can sometimes be made mistake and lose points but this is not a reason to say they are weak.

Losing Nico Schlotterbeck also made the end of the second half not too favorable for Dortmund so it was still good enough for Dortmund to get a point in this match because if in the end Nico Schlotterbeck was rewarded with a red card at the start of the second half maybe the result would be a little different even Dortmund could have lost points.

They played well and dominating is a very natural thing to see, but losing one player who is a player who can attack and defend indirectly makes Dortmund a little careful because before the red card we can see that Schlotterbeck overlaps several times and that makes them gain more momentum but after the red card is obtained then Dortmund tactically immediately stops their aggressiveness and tries to maximize 1 point.
It was unexpected but indeed 1 point after they lost 1 player I think it's still good enough for Dortmund.

There is nothing different with Dortmund's performance this season, I mean they are still on the right track because they were able to collect 4 points in their two matches. On the other hand, if you look at Dortmund's performance in the previous match against Bremen, of course the match was quite tough because they were the away team, so Dortmund got pressure from Bremen. Statistically, Nuri Sahin was able to make his team perform well in that match, even though they had to play with 10 players after Schlotterbeck got a red card. I think they were lucky enough to be able to bring 1 point from Bremen because Dortmund was able to balance the balance when they played with 10 players.

To get to the Champions League final you have to be lucky in literally 6 games, and given the paired nature of the games you have the right to make a mistake. Well, let's take into account that Dortmund had a difficult group and add two more games - a total of 8 games. I think you will agree that it is much easier to show yourself well over such a distance than over a distance of 34 games (even against weaker teams on average). This is exactly what happened last year when Dortmund finished 5th and 27 points behind the leaders lol.
If you have been watching the Bundesliga for a long time, you must know that Dortmund's unpredictability is their feature. This is an unstable and unreliable club.

This is normal and it happens in football, it’s just that when it happens on a team you least expects it, is what baffles a lot of people. Borussia Dortmund had the opportunity to grab three points in this match but unfortunately, they lost it to a team that’s not up to them in performance. If we are to grade them on what they played in the champions league last season, they shouldn’t have lost this match and won with a good margin. The season may just be starting and maybe they’ll think they have a lot of time and opportunities to right the mistakes now, but sometimes, they don’t come back again when you don’t grab them now. They still look good to go to me, and in their upcoming matches, they should be in a better form and try to collect as many three points as they can. The Bundesliga is no more a play ground, every team are now up and ready to sacrifice and fight for the league title just like Bayern Munich does every season.
They haven't lost everything. The league has just started and only two matches have been played. Borussia Dortmund is a team that always gives me hope. They make the best use of promising players. It seems like Bayern Munich will play very well this year, but I also think Borussia Dortmund will challenge them. Yes, they tied in this match, but we have to say that they played 20 minutes short due to the red card. If that red card hadn't been shown, they might have scored in those 20 minutes.

Honestly, the season has only just begun, and it is far too early to make definitive judgments about Dortmund's performance. At this stage, the Bundesliga competition is still finding its rhythm, and many teams are struggling to show their true potential. For instance, some teams that were expected to perform well, like Leverkusen and Stuttgart, have already faced losses, despite their strong performances in the last season. It is important to remember that a few matches do not provide a complete picture, as there are many more games left to be played. Therefore,it is premature to criticize Dortmund too harshly at this point. Every season brings surprises, and any team can lose to any other team. Currently, Dortmund has won one game and drawn another, which, based on my observations, is a commendable start. It’s best to wait and see how the season unfolds before making any final judgments.

After Leverkusen failed to defeat Leipzig and disappointed the fans, this time Leverkusen must secure a victory against Hoffenheim.
It may be too early to discuss this, but the results obtained seem very easy to predict because Leverkusen has no injured players, while Hoffenheim has several key players who are injured.  Betting on Leverkusen to win over 2.5 is a wise choice.
To maintain consistent winnings in the Bundesliga, there ought to be presence of discipline for a club and Bayer Leverkusen should dropped their key efforts towards oppositions. Losing to RB Leipzig was never a deserved point and the odds for Leverkusen to win games have slightly dropped. Bayer Leverkusen are having a flopping season, they're suffering to win games. Their shocking defeats against RB Leipzig was not deserving and Xabi Alonso would worked for improvement.
Improving their performance is a must, and they will try their possible best to see they win their game with Hoffenheim because I don’t think Xavi Alonso will endure them losing against them, so there is actually a higher chance of Bayer Leverkusen to win the game. They will have to put more effort into their performance because it was not a good experience of losing a game at the start of the season for them. Many of my friends were saying that Bayer Leverkusen will try to keep the record of last season. I know it will be hard for them, but they will try their best this season. There is still more expectation from Xavi Alonso; he will definitely change the narration of the team.

In the second week Dortmund were quite disappointing as they drew with Bremen, there was no victory and only got a red card for Nico.

Heidenheim's performance makes us very curious even though we strongly believe that Dortmund can win, it is worth noting whether Dortmund will be embarrassed at home or not in the opening match in the third week of the league. Huh

I think it is too early for you to jump into conclusion that Dortmund is going to lose points because in there current record, I don't think I've seen, even the next match they have a better chance of winning against their opponents and they are still maintaining their fourth position for now, if you look at it, Dotmond is one of the best clubs in Bundesliga so and they ruled the league so even now, underestimating will not put you in the best position to be able to defeat them, even the champions league their was a lot of expectations that they might be able to win Real Madrid but getting to that point is enough, even if we know that they will not be able to defeat Real Madrid but they made it to the finals.

Heidenheim Are still strong and don't be surprise that they might be given dortmund a tough time because they play a very unique game.  And the way you said dortmund will easily beat Heidenheim is just a funny statement because them drawing outsider's does not mean that they will go easy on dortmund and what if they still play draw with dortmund. Sometimes the club that is assumed weak are the one doing the most, am also understanding that game can change, and the weaker can become stronger all of a sudden, that is what is interesting about games.

I cannot agree with your statement. Kompany is really an inexperienced coach. Maybe he can be talented. And with Kompany, Bayern Munich can improve. Even so, Kompany is an inexperienced coach. And his past record is not good either. Kompany previously coached Burnley. But the performance of this team was very poor. The team could not even qualify for the Premier League this season.
Two seasons ago, Thiago Motta and Xabi Alonso began their jobs at Leverkusen and Bologna in doubt of the crowd and we witnessed their success last season. With Leverkusen, they won Bundesliga with an unbelievable unbeaten season and with Bologna they ended in top four of Serie A.

Vicent Kompany used to be a good player and played for Manchester City, worked with many world class coaches and won many titles, it means he got enough experience throughout his career and can use it for his coach career. The European football is witness a new wave of young coach generation like Simeone Inzaghi, Alonso, Motta, Montella, Febregasc who were star players just 10 and 20 years ago. Vicent Kompany can be a next young coach arises in this season with his first big club, Bayern Munich.

Xabi Alonso's case is completely different. Xabi Alonso arrived at Leverkusen in 2022. And in the 2022–23 season, Leverkusen won 14 matches and lost 12 matches. Alonso did not succeed in his first season with Leverkusen. But gradually he stabilized this team. Leverkusen management gave complete freedom to Alonso. And finally Alonso succeeded.

We cannot compare Alonso with Kompany in any way. Kompany was coach of Burnley. And he could not improve this team. Kompany was a great player, I know that. Even one of my favorite players is Kompany. But he is still not successful as a coach. I will be happy if he succeeds with Bayern Munich. But I say he is not experienced enough and even his past record is not good.

However, Bayern Munich management still have faith in Kompany. Bayern Munich's squad is also very strong. Kompany has a chance to do well with this squad. But it is not possible to say for sure that Bayern Munich will do well and win the title next season. Perhaps we can see some improvement in Bayern Munich's performance compared to last season.
He will be given enough time to do his job in Bayern Munich and winning Bundesliga will be one of his tasks, others including going far in Champions League and if possible, win that trophy. With many star players in Bayern Munich, Kompany actually has a very good working environment to do his job well.

If the Bayern Munich management gives Kompany enough time, KOmpany might be able to stabilize this team. But big clubs like Munich usually don't give coaches much time. I think the Munich management will keep Kompany as coach this season. If kompany can secure the Bundesliga title, he will be given more opportunities. But if Munich fails to win the Bundesliga title, the Munich management may look for a new coach next season.

There is clearly a difference for this season, because Dortmund recruited unusual players. I mean, they brought in not only young talented players, but also some established players. Unfortunately, the coach who is currently handling Dortmund is not a coach with full experience and has high flying hours. However, if Nuri Sahin has found the ideal composition for his team, Dortmund should be able to be much better than before. In addition, Nuri Sahin is still rotating some of his players and at the same time with his system. One more thing, the young striker that Dortmund brought in has not been able to show his ability, namely Maximillian Beier, he has not been able to score a single goal even though he already understands the Bundesliga very well. As for Guirassy, he still cannot be played in previous matches because he is still injured.

Talking about Heidenheim, they won full points in their two matches. However, the team they played against at that time was not a strong team. Talking about the match between the two teams, Dortmund is clearly much more favored. In addition, playing at Signal Iduna Park, full points are a mandatory result in the 3rd week.

Dortmund reaching the final of the Champions League last season did not guarantee that they will do well this season. Last season is different from this season. The reason may be that it is not the same coach who was coaching them last season that is coaching them this season. Dortmund's head coach last season was Edin Terzic, who has resigned, so I did not expect things to be the same at the start of the new manager's tenure. Therefore, I did not have high expectations for Dortmund as they start this season. Over the past few seasons, this is how Dortmund always performs: at some points, they perform well, and at other times, their performance is not that good.Either they start well and end the season poorly, or if they start the season badly, they end well. But let's see what will happen in their next few games."

Absolutely and I believe that we will see Dortmund drop points more often than not this season. I don't feel like their squad is really strong. They lack superstars. They have never been a team full of superstars, but they usually had two to three guys that were on a world class level. I am not saying they are average or anything, but in my opinion they lack the special part within their team. My guess for the season would be that they place 4-6 with a higher tendency towards the 5th or 6th, but definitely not fighting for the title.

I think Heidenheim is having a run, a typical run. They are riding the wave. You have to understand where they are coming from. I as a German have been following them for a while and they have been fighting hard to finally make it into the Bundesliga. Then they successfully established themselves last year and this year they made the Conference League play-offs, won the first round in the DFB Pokal, got started with a first game win in the Bundesliga and now destroyed Augsburg 4-0. You said they played against two outsiders, that is true, but they themselves are kind of an outsider. It is quite an impressive start for a team that comes from a small town with 50.000 population! Cheesy I like those stories when clubs make their way and are able to compete with teams that are coming from much bigger cities with highly professional infrastructure and stadiums.

To put this further into perspective, Heidenheim has the smallest stadium of the entire Bundesliga with a capacity of 15.000. It's amazing that they are deservedly leading the table at the moment. Fun times for the Heidenheim fans.

Heidenheim Should not be underrated against Dortmund, they started the season very strong with couple of Wining’s even before the beginning of the Bundesliga, and they had 100% performances in their last two matches in their Bundesliga opening games in which Augsburg is one of their opponents; and when you check the statistics of their matches against Augsburg, they were always losing against them in their last five matches and this season  Heidenheim is able to defeat them 4-0. This clearly shows that Heidenheim is fully prepared for this season and with Dortmund’s performance so far, I don’t think they can easily defeat Heidenheim.

I assume not many people were expecting Dortmund to lose points against Werder Bremen. Considering their last head-to-heads at this stadium, Dortmund won all of them. And with the transfers they made, we were expecting them to be better this season and a loss was not something on the table for me, lost my bet because of that but I am fine about it because there are these type of games at the start of the season and I know that which is why I bet a small amount, I do not end up spending too much money on it, doesn't make sense in most cases.

The best thing to do in these type of cases would be just ignoring the problem itself and just doing whatever you can do for the next week, because if you focus on just one lost bet, then you will not have easy time betting again.

Just because Dortmund lost this doesn't mean they are bad, they could still be a very good team, we just have to give them some time. If they keep on losing more and more games then it would be something that we can consider, it may not be all that easy to handle this because losing more means I will stop betting on them, but if they recover and start winning again and make me some money then losing time to time is fine. Nobody expects Dortmund to win every single game, it would be impossible, so these losses will happen and we need to make sure that it's not often, and they don't have a terrible season.
