The big difference this season is not scoring goals, it's the defense. Last season Bayern conceded 45 goals, up until now after 11 games we are standing at only 7 !! They are the best defending team while last year they were 5th.
That means if they kept this up they are on target to only concede half they goals they had last year, thats an amazing improvement. As they always say, offense wins games but defense wins championships.

They are a top team no doubt about that, but whether everyone thinks that Alonso is responsible or whether it is because they are a high quality team. I was watching the live ticker a few times when i was in work today and just have seen when Heidenheim was leading with 2 scored goals.
First i thought that this maybe will be a win for Heidenheim against Leverkusen but when i have seen the end result damn Leverkusen scored 5 goals.

A remarkable comeback was made in this match where after Leverkusen lost momentum in the first half due to individual mistakes especially in defence which put them 2 goals down but in the end they were able to create 5 goals in return which earned them 3 points for today's match.

At the start of the first half it seemed like Leverkusen lost their focus and it was evident that the 2 goals Heidenheim scored in this match came from the mistakes of the players who always had a miss of communication in the defence.

But the 5-goal reply was excellent and Shick scored the hat trick of the match. But even so I also appreciate what Frimpong did in this match even though he didn't score but the 5 goals scored by Leverkusen were inseparable from the player's contribution who always creates space when Leverkusen has chances.

Xabi Alonso should use the half time break to caution his defencer to be very careful not concede another goal in the 2nd half and try to score instead of conceding again. Their chances of winning the match is still very high therefore it's left for the player to make it possible.

The international break has made them more perfect because they have improved significantly in their current games, with Xabi Alonso's performance leading many to believe that Leverkusen can still contend with Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga crown. Before the break, Leverkusen's games were unbalanced, with draws and losses, leaving Munich with a gap in the league rankings. But their game today surprised me because when I saw they are losing by their opponent with two goals lead, I didn't believe they will do a comeback for the first half and draw the game in the first half, if Leverkusen can continue as they started this time, they should continue performing great, and I am sure they can reach Bayern Munich point, if Bayern Munich lose or draw games i the league table. Heidenheim as perform weak since they win the 2 goals and Leverkusen are playing at home and they won't agree to lose at home. Xabi Alonso is still doing good and am sure he will achieve something this season again even he didn't win the Bundesliga he will achieve another trophy.
