It seems to me that the Champions League will always be a priority tournament for any team, because it is the most prestigious tournament and because there are quite high fees that will stimulate the team to win. Whoever their opponent is, I am sure that they will have the task of getting out of the group to the playoffs, this will already imply very decent bonus payments. Moreover, Bayern has always strived to win this tournament, I think they do not have a task below the semi-finals or the final, so this season they will try to win the Bundesliga and the Champions League, but it is hard to believe in the second task.
The choice is still there for the kompany but there is still a trophy that is indeed a target by kompany must meet in his first season in charge of Munich, I personally may see if the Bundesliga trophy will be the main target that at least the kompany which must get, because after all losing dominance in the league last season has made a tremendous surprise to the management and also the Munich fans, so it seems that in order to restore their status as the rulers of the Bundesliga of course Munich will try to focus to get the domestic league trophies whether it is the Bundesliga or the DFB pokal, but as @Jody.Drummer said, When the Munich squad is able to maximize in the two competitions, of course there is nothing wrong with staying on those two paths competition, but if it is felt that they are better prepared to face one competition, it is clear that Kompany will prefer to prioritize the domestic league this season even though the Champions League is the most prestigious trophy among the other trophies available.

Can Vincent Kompany handle his Bayern Munich players the same way he did at Burnley and Anderlecht?

Vincent Kompany just started out, and as big as Bayern Munich may be, everyone needs to understand it's a new manager, and all new managers need time at their respective clubs. He had a decent pre-season, signed a few players that they needed, and now it's all up to them how they want to go forward.

The UCL draw just arrived, and I think the matches Bayern are playing are not that hard. Yes, the primary focus might be on the league right now, but they will also have to do at least decent in the Champions League. And that is not hard for the team that Kompany has at his disposal, so I would expect them to give very good fights in the coming days.

If I want to be positive I can say Kompany can be better than this because he is getting more experienced and after getting more experienced we can expect to see better performance from this coach time after time but it was still too soon for him to start coaching a team like Bayern Munich because there is more superstar players there is fans there putting the coach under pressure to getting better result and if he fails in any game he will be under more pressure from the fans and media.

I think he must have gotten used to this situation a lot in his football career because Kompany is a player who has played with many world stars at Manchester City. He must know how to handle the star players at Bayern Munich because he has come from this business. The Bundesliga is a difficult league but Kompany will get used to it right away, he came here from the center of that difficulty, England.

For Heidenheim it is usually like this and for a small team they are extraordinary. Not only because they won big but also secured their starting position with a lot of points. This can be a guarantee in crucial matches such as they find it difficult to win and at least they will not be thrown to the bottom of the table in the near future.

If Heidenheim keep up with this performance they will become one of the best club on this Bundesliga, however just as they say that starting point is always important they have started very well, so all they need is just to have this focus and energy against there coming match, I have always perceive this Bundesliga to be different from other ones not because those regular champion will not win but because some of the club we did not expect will put a good energy in wining there matches.

Is already assured that bottom position is not for Heidenheim however Frank Schmidt is handling the club way more better than last season and from the players they have signed he is making good use of them, the time to no there real performance is there next match with Borussia Dortmund because some persons believe that Borussia Dortmund has the performance of wining this league and I find difficult believing that so if Heidenheim win them or draw the match I will no that they may possibly qualify for champions League next season.

Also, the loss to Leipzig has ruined Xavi Alonso's unbeaten record with his team. I was expecting him to reach Pep or Heynckes level, but it was wrong. That's sad Xabi's unbeaten record must end this fast.

That's some huge work by Guardiola and Heynckes of course. But doing it with Bayern Munich is easier on paper. I don't mean everyone can do the same though, you know what I mean.

Leverkusen also has really good players but on paper they are still a less valuable team. But it all depends on having a strong team play.  Smiley  I wish Xabi Alonso broke that record as well. It would be unforgettable...
It would have been difficult for Leverkusen to break that record. That record was set by two great managers that football has ever witnessed. Xabi Alonso is still early in his managerial career to be breaking records set by legends of the game. Xabi is destined for greatness in football management. He has already written his name in the history book, by going unbeaten last season. But he can't just take one year or two to break records that it took years for two great mangers to set. These Pep Guardiola and Heynckes didn't achieve this with an ordinary club, they were able to achieve this with Bayern Munich the best team in the league. If it were any minor team like Xabi found himself, I don't think they would have achieved that record. There are records that can't be broken unless one is properly equipped and Leverkusen don't look too equipped with enough squad dept to break that record.

Bayern Munich beat Freiburg 2-0 at home and got their 2nd win in the league. It wasn't too hard for Bayern Munich to win with goals from Harry Kane and Müller.
Heidenheim is another team that started the league well. They defeated Augsburg at home with 4 goals and are now the leaders.Looking at Heidenheim's game in general, they are very good offensively.Although they don't have much possession of the ball, they are definitely effective in the goal.
I actually think the opposite where Freiburg could have scored their second win after in the previous match they managed to beat Stuttgart. But this is Bayern Munich and any mediocre team will be defeated when facing them. However, there is one good record from Freiburg where they did not concede many goals and this proves that they are not that bad at the start of this season.

For Heidenheim it is usually like this and for a small team they are extraordinary. Not only because they won big but also secured their starting position with a lot of points. This can be a guarantee in crucial matches such as they find it difficult to win and at least they will not be thrown to the bottom of the table in the near future. But in the end their current position is only temporary because they will lose more points later.

In the Bundesliga match, Stuttgart, Dortmund and Leverkusen are the favorite team, so Stuttgart and Leverkusen played at home, but all three team failed to win the second week match.
Starting with Dortmund who met Bremen with final score of 0 - 0 and Stuttgart against Mainz with final score of 3 - 3, then followed by Leverkusen who was defeated by Leipzig with final score of 2 - 3, which was quite bad was Dortmund because apart from not being able to beat Bremen, they also had to receive red card.
I took all three in one multi-bet slip along with Bayern Munich as the last team that was the favorite, but unfortunately the other three teams have failed and made everything not according to expectations.

It is quite surprising indeed the results of the top Bundesliga teams this week, especially I see the big surprise is Leverkusen's defeat which previously many said that they would try to maintain the record like last season but unfortunately in the second week's match they had already experienced defeat and even that happened at their home ground
I see this is not Leverkusen who experienced a decline in quality but the increase in the quality of the Leipzig team that made them win the match.

I watched this match, and I saw Leverkusen's defeat was quite painful, they conceded in the final minutes like they can do to other teams when they win but now they are experiencing it.
Well that quite disappointing because after all the top Bundesliga teams are everyone favorites, especially for home games then clearly the advantage belongs to them, but in utilizing all these advantages it turns out that they cannot match expectations.
I don't expect much for Leverkusen to be able to get record like last season which became team without single defeat, but at least they can get win for every home game, this is more than enough for me.
But you are right that Leipzig performance looks much better at the beginning of this season than last season, they have prepared quite well, unlike Leverkusen where Xabi still maintains the same squad as before.
For the future there is another opportunity in the middle of the season for Leverkusen to improve their squad, Xabi must prepare Leverkusen again to be able to finish the season well.

Come on, a team spent a season without losing a game except one, and you think they can do it all over again, no right? Be realistic man. Bayer Leverkusen had a great season, fair play to them, but let's just not overexpect.

I think Xabi Alonso always had a lot to offer, he built up to last season pretty well, and the last season will always be remembered for a long long time. Only if they had won the UEL final, that would have been an unreal story, only one of a kind.

This season will not be the same definitely, but they still have a long way to go, a lot of games to be played still. If they manage their players properly, give all tournaments an organized approach, they can win trophies this season too, definitely.
I believe this season Bayern Munich will become a champion because Leverkusen is different now, they're just like other one season wonder teams, make a huge upset and then back become mediocre teams. Xabi Alonso is too confident with the current squad, he didn't sign top players, unlike Bayern Munich have sign 3 great players.

I will be happy to see Harry Kane can win his first domestic league trophy, everyone will cry lol.

Bayern Munich beat Freiburg 2-0 at home and got their 2nd win in the league. It wasn't too hard for Bayern Munich to win with goals from Harry Kane and Müller.
I do consider the game to be an easy one for Bayern Munich, they're not working up effortlessly but they're concentrated on the improvement and important winnings. On the records, Harry Kane and Thomas Müller listed themselves on the scoresheet, both of them netting goal inother for the Bavarians to seal the winnings. This is crucial start for Bayern Munich and we totally understand the pressure from other oppositions. Bayern Munich secured victory against Freiburg and this was precisely one of the important game for Vincent Kompany. Taking out his time to ensure he obtained three points from Bundesliga games before facing over to the UEFA Champions League.

Bayern Munich did not play well against Wolfsburg in the first match of the season. However, Munich won the match. However, in the second match against Freiburg, Munich's performance was very organized. Munich played very well and won the match 2-0. Kane and Muller both scored in this match. Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot though.

Bayern Munich will play against Holstien Kiel in the next match. I don't see the possibility of Munich dropping points against Kiel. This team is weak. Holstien Kiel lost the first two matches. Going to be an easy win for Munich. And Munich has a chance to win this match by a big margin. Because Kiel's defense is weak.

I agree Bayern Munich game was not very hard but they still tried their best to win. Goals from Harry Kane and Thomas Müller helped them to win and it is great start for team.
Win against Freiburg was very important for Vincent Kompany. It helps them do well in Bundesliga before playing in Champions League. Kompany wants his team to do well so he is taking time to prepare them for tough games ahead.
Bayern Munich needs to be able to play well under pressure from other good teams. With this win they showed they have skill and determination to succeed. I am excited to see how they will keep playing in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

In the German Bundesliga, while I check the result of Bayern Munich, I also check the result of their counterparts Bayern Leverkusen. It is quite unfortunate that Bayern Leverkusen has dropped point this early period of the season. Actually this was not expected of them from me. I have thought that Xavi Alonso and his boys will maintain the momentum of last season even up to the middle of this season. But I was very surprised they had to drop points. If Bayern Leverkusen should continue to drop more points, it will then be very difficult to catch up with Bayern Munich when the season is about to end. It seems that Vincent Kompany is well prepared for this season's challenge and he might take it home. Let's watch how things will unfold though.
This is football for you where nothing is guaranteed of, the unbeaten record that they kept last season has finally been broken, one thing you should take note of, is the fact that a lot of clubs came prepared this very season because of Leverkusen and has Bayern Leverkusen in mind base on that unbeaten record, a team might just have them in mind and decide they will be the one to break that record, even though they had not lost this very game.

It wasn't easy for Bayern Munich to win but looking at the scores, you might say Freiburg didn't play well but they did although Bayern Munich are more powerful than them. Bayern tried many times to score but couldn't until after 40 minutes before they got the second goal that secured the game for them. This is their second victory and they are second on the league table behind Heidenheim that somehow have outscored them in the opening part of the season and haven't conceded any goals. This isn't a problem yet but Bayern shouldn't underate any team this season before they get a repeat of what happened to them last season that they lost to an unknown team .

They shouldn’t just watch out on Bayern Munich who will want to reclaim back what they lost but they should also put an eye on all other clubs who are also going to fight for the league title after Bayern Leverkusen have made it look that anyone can actually fight for the title if they’re ready for it. The fact about the Bundesliga now is that every club wants to be the best and those that are even performing better will love to do more, maybe they can get the chance to win the league title this season. After Bayern Leverkusen loss to RB Leipzig, it now signifies that no more unbeaten run for them this season and they should just fight for their best in the league title since it’s early and very much still possible for them to win it.

Bayern are trying everything possible to get their self back on track and it is exactly what everyone club will do, since they were unable to claim the title and even the champions league they did not even look like who had the intention to winning last season because even if they had the intention they will still be unable to still win it, even when I see you talking about reclaiming the Bundesliga title, and another thing is that I feel like is anyone can actually win the title if they are actually working for it.  And Bayern Leverkusen is also doing their best to keep the trophy again this season. RB Leipzig Is also tailing Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen with points, it's a serious competition between this season, and since all the clubs have the chance of winning it, and it is now looking as if all the clubs are well equipped this period and that way they will be able to prey on the weaker once so that they will gather more points to them self, that is the whole, the winner might just still be Bayern Leverkusen.

To be fair they did lose a game to Atalanta quite recently, so it is not their most recent loss, it's just Bundesliga one, which is of course still insane. They went a whole season without a single loss, that is amazing whenever it happens, in any league that happens.

Even Bayern when they dominated didn't do it if I remember right, PSG doesn't, City doesn't, to be fair nobody goes 50+ unbeaten games in a row, that just doesn't happen and they did it. In this season I didn't expected them to do the same, it would have been quite difficult and because of that I did expected them to have this issue, and that still doesn't mean that they are going to end up losing anything, they can still win the title even wit ha few losses here and there.

The fact that some people are expecting Leverkusen to play at the same level as they did last season is very embarrassing. Every team they faced last season already knew how to face Xabi Alonso's method, so they will do everything in their power to defeat them this season. This season will be very different from the previous season because every team has brought in better squads to compete for the championship. I won't be surprised if any unknown team wins the league as Leverkusen did the previous season.

However, Leverkusen's home defeat against Leipzig was very strange. Leverkusen led the first half with two goals, and to be honest, I did not expect Leipzig to make such a comeback against them, but that is football, and anything can happen. This is Xabi Alonso's first Bundesliga defeat, but I do not think they will win the league this season.

Even if Bayer Leverkusen doesn't win the championship this year, I don't think their fans will be angry with them. Because they played so well last year and finished the season that the fans are in love with the team right now. I think they will finish the season as second even if they don't win the championship. However, the season has just started and they still have a chance to win the championship. Yes, they lost a game, but that's not the end of anything.
I mean of course, we are talking about something much more deeper right now, they already won once, and that's  the biggest thing they can even imagine. It's like Leicester story all over again, they even dropped to championship after the premier league title but the fans are still super happy with every player and even manager of that time, even the rest in peace owner of that time as well.

When you take a fairy tale type of story in football like that, it doesn't end that soon, they can finish 8th this season and it will still be fine for them, they are still quite happy because they are doing fine without much worry, they are happy with what they have. It's clear that they are going to end up with happy result no matter how they finish this season. The reality is that we are going to see Leverkusen still finish strong though, they can be the winners, or they can be in top three, that's the lowest I can see them doing at this point without a doubt.

That series is 90% Heikens' merit. He built a team that dominated Europe and not just the Bundesliga. Guardiola just took a top team and was knocked out of the Champions League three times in a row by Spanish clubs, that's his whole story in Bayern  Grin
As for comparisons, yes, they are incorrect in the sense that Xabi had much fewer resources for such an achievement and he was able to do it with an underdog.

Good things often come to an end and I bet you that Leverkusen didn't expect to be beaten by RB Leipzig, the team that Leverkusen utterly frustrated last season. I guess this is pay back and now Xabi will have to work doubly hard to ensure they get back to tip top shape and get back to winning ways because he would not want a situation where fans will begin to fidget and start doubting him.
It's still quite early for them and they can bounce back but the question they need to ask themselves is will other clubs sit by and fold their hands while they do so because it's looking like Bayern Munich are coming back to reclaim what they lost.
