Dortmund is too focused on the Champions League compared to the Bundesliga and DFB. We look at it from the first match of the UCL league to the fourth match. In the first match against Club Brugge Dortmund, they won with a fairly large score of 4-2, but after that they failed when facing VFB and lost with a score of 5-1. Finally in the 4th match of UCL, dortmund won again 1-0 over Sturm, but lost again in the bundesliga Mains 05 with a score of 3-1. Quite impressive, right?    Only at the age of 25, it is really good for him to perform in such an amazing way. I feel like his future will be similar to Serhou Guirassy. He can also be signed by a bigger team in the near future. Probably next summer... I wouldn't be surprised if Dortmund goes after him too in case of selling Guirassy to another team by making profit. Their philosophy is this. They make really good amount of money in player sales.

Dortmund will not force their manager to gets Bundesliga trophy this because the owner know to compete with Bayern Munich for race title it's quite hard and Dortmund have to spend a lot of money to build the squad which this is hard for them because basically Dortmund is not a rich team and i think before Dortmund owner has decide to hire Nuri Sahin as the manager they had realize that the title is not their main priority so that's why when Dortmund performance is not stable Nuri Sahin seems didn't gets any pressure even he was very confident that Dortmund will be able to bounce back but regarding Dortmund final position at the end of Bundesliga i think they very possible to reach at top 4 or Champion league spots

Borussia Dortmund has already lost the championship. They should aim for the top three or four places in the German league. I do not see a team that can pass Bayern Munich for the championship right now. Bayer Leverkusen also looks weaker compared to last year. This year, Bayern Munich seems to be leading the championship race on its own. The problems Borussia Dortmund has been experiencing recently need to be investigated thoroughly. I think the source of this is the change in technical director. Although I like Nuri Şahin very much, maybe he acted too early to take over Borussia Dortmund.

Mainz defeated Dortmund to win their first Bundesliga home game. Dortmund was expected to play defensively after one player was sent out. Even though there was no red card in the match, I doubt Dortmund to win. From my perspective, Terzic is a few times better than Nuri Sahin as a dortmund's coach. Dortmund played far better under him instead of Nuri Sahin. They even reached the UCL final, though they lost to Madrid. Still, it was a good achievement, given the money they made as a result of reaching the final of UCL.

 It's totally differ when they played under Nuri Sahin. They made too many human errors in any game. Their performance went downhill, and there was no improvement at all. The only thing i can see that if they're only declining even deeper.

The decision to change Dortmund's coach must be taken as soon as possible to save the club.

Dortmund's performance this season is very weak. Dortmund has only been able to win 5 matches out of 10 matches. Dortmund has lost all four matches. And is in seventh place in the table. Dortmund's chances of getting into the top four of the table are also very low.

Dortmund's main weakness is their defense. Mainly because of the weak defense, Dortmund is not able to achieve good results this season. I think if Dortmund's defense improves, Dortmund's overall performance will be even stronger. Dortmund has scored 18 goals in 10 matches and conceded 18 goals. If Dortmund's defenders cannot play well, we will not see improvement in Dortmund's performance.

Support from fans alone is not enough without being equipped with classy players, Perhaps the situation Dortmund is currently experiencing is the result of the club's policy of only seeking profit from player sales without thinking about the club's future success. Even though they are currently performing well in the UCL, they cannot maintain this momentum in the Bundesliga. This season they are finding it increasingly difficult to compete with Bayern Munich who have performed very consistently with Kompany, targeting a top-four finish may be more realistic than competing in the title race.

I have been thinking about Dortmund's performance this season I don't think they can even make a good position this season, Dortmund is having a bad performance this season and sometimes they perform like a team that is capable of defeating any opponents, in their last match they received a red card and that makes them lose the game, I was thinking they are going well win the last match they play but after Received red card I started having feelings that they will lose the game and that is what happens.

Dortmund is in 7th position this season and if we look at the teams that are ahead of Dortmund they are all strong teams that are trying their best to make sure they qualify for the Champions League next season, Dortmund current situation is bad and the team needs to find the solution to it if not they will end up not qualify for Champion League next season and that will be a disgrace for a big team like Dortmund.

The red card Emre Can received must have disrupted the entire game order of Borussia Dortmund. I think Technical Director Nuri Şahin forgot to make transfers to the best positions. There are still problems in the defense area. They concede goals quickly or give away easy positions in defense. They had a very bad start for an elite team in the German league. They need to pull themselves together now. If they can't make good transfers in the mid-season transfer period, they could end this year like this.

If you look at their performance this season, it is far from expectations as one of the candidates for the Bundesliga title this season because there are indeed several other teams that are much more consistent than them. There are many things that may need to be fixed so that Dortmund can set more achievement targets and I don't like the management style that always sells quality young players so that all they get is profit not a club success and this is what often happens and even Dortmund always fails to reach the top of the standings until they succeed in winning the Bundesliga.

Dortmund performance this season has been disappointing due to changes in coaching staff and lack of strong player signings. They have sold top players for money and now they are paying price. Behind these struggles Dortmund remains respected team with loyal German fans. Their surprise loss to Mainz was partly due to Emre Can early red card. If Dortmund want to improve so they need to adjust to new coach style and sign better players and keep their best players and avoid red cards. With these changes and stability, Dortmund can regain their competitive edge and do better.

Dortmund's performance so far during this season was disappointing and I think they are much worse than last season maybe that's because of the new coach they have and maybe that's because of them hiring not enough good players for their team. Dortmund is known for selling the superstar players for money and now they are paying for it. However, Dortmund is not a bad team and there are many fans in Germany since they are a great team.
They recently lost the game against Mainz, while Mainz was not a strong team to beat a team like Dortmund. However, maybe the red card they got was effective in this match. Emre Can get a red card at the start of the match.

I agree that it is ridiculous to draw far-reaching conclusions so early about a failed or successful Borussia Dortmund season. The championship has not reached its third yet and there is still plenty of time to save the situation. Any long winning streak will elevate the club to the leaders of the championship. Another question is that I am not sure that the club will be the main competitor of Bayern Munich for the title, which started the season strongly and that if Munich continues the season like this, it may not give Dortmund a chance to get closer to itself. But to begin with, Borussia just need to rise higher in the standings and some trends for the season can only begin to be discussed after the end of the first round of the Bundesliga.

Eintracht Frankfurt is truly a good team that is always trying every season but their problem have always been finishing strong. They have a terrible record of being overtaken at the later part of the competition even in some season when they do show sign of aiming for the title. However, I think there is something unique about them this season which I can say is making them get better with every match they play. I have the feeling that they will qualify for champions league next season that is if Dortmund continue to fluctuate the way they are doing.

Apart from Bayern Munich, we all know that Dortmund is the second big team in the Bundesliga and they have been the one competing with Bayern Munich for the past decade even if they have not been successful to win the Bundesliga. So even if they have to retard in their performance this time around, they shouldn't be blamed because they have been consistent. Even reaching the Champions League finals last season was a surprise to me. In the history of Bundesliga and also Champions League, Dortmund has made great impact in the past but for this season I did not see them competing as they used to do. Rather I am expecting Bayern Leverkusen and Frankfurt to do the work this time around.

The discussion about Dortmund has become something that has been most discussed on this thread in the last two pages, from my point of view it feels we just stressing it too much because One thing I have always seen with them is that they always have their ways around what ever the situation it is they find themselves, they have always been times when they sell of key talented players a d it will feel like they may not make it to top four only for them o qualify for the champions League, that was how they had similar scenarios two seasons back and last season they were one of the top teams in the champions League who did finished well so I don't really get bothered about them because I know they are going to still get back on their feet to a decent finish at least.
