A better solution might be a "members with 10+ days logged in" forum.
This is a pretty good idea. I can easily see myself investing that amount of time in this place.

Now donators/VIPs get a bit of color next to their posts, as well:

Are colored names, for moderators and donors, a possibility? Not just in the "who's online", but on the side too?

They always have five coins, regardless of their post counts. No one will ever have more than five stars, as it looks odd.
I was thinking of using some other star image for donators/VIPs, but I couldn't think of anything that fits with the concept as well as coins. I could change the color to "platinum", but that might seem like a demotion from gold to silver. (And I don't want to change the images for normal users.)
