#13 review by Thirdspace
& prelude I used clearnet for mixing and made a deposit transaction with a low fee rate of ~7s/VB
then mempool size was getting even bigger and recommended fee was going up as high as 200s/VB
finally it gets its first confirmation after about 19 hours, and I received the first output 15 minutes later
I feel sorry for mixtum because this transaction has a very high tx fee rate of 140+ s/VB
the fee amount is higher than the output amount itself, ~10-20s/VB fee rate should've been enough at the time
then in about 5 hours the second output arrived in my address with again high network fee of 100+ s/VB
in short, for my deposit of 150k sat I received back ~127k sat, and mixtum spent 50k+ sat in tx fee
so mixtum mixed my coins and incurred a loss of ~27k sat
I hope this doesn't happen often to your business
& speed very good indeed, I don't expect less
with that much of overpaid network fee
up to 6 hours mixing time is about standard time for a mixer, so this is acceptable for me
& accuracy mix outputs arrived within the allotted time, maximum in 6 hours as promised
mix amount received very close to the amount indicated by the value & fee calculator
& user interface all menus has good enough visibility and accessibility
being located on the top and below of the page, you can't miss them
but you are missing
"back to top" button to make navigation a lot easier
& website design I think the design is a bit corny, MixTum... Mixer Tumbler... a picture of mixer?
the layout is adequately simple and compact without any problem on reading all the contents to the end
the information presented is quite complete, clear, and concise on each and every section
& comments & suggestions - mix output comes from multisig address, I think this is a good security on the mixer side
- you might want to support bech32 address to accomodate some native segwit hardcore user out there
- enable user to set a desired amount on one of the mix outputs to make it harder for chain analyser
- improve algorithm on calculating minimum fee rate to save fees on output transactions
overall, mixtum mixer service is a pretty easy to use mixer for all levels of user expertise
however, optional custom settings would be great to cater advanced users with special needs
on service fee, it's rather high for me and if I there's an option, I would go for lower fee with slower confirmation time
I notice there's also a telegram bot available for your service, I haven't tried it yet... I will do it later
