I was distributing my coins through equal share distribution. This means everyone get's an equal share for a fee. I made the first 5 pages fee=0 then 5+ pages 0.002btc each with a changing rate as pages increased. This is a similar sales method as NEM. The thread had already reached 5+ [ages and I was collected btc when the thread was locked and my account was banned for 2 weeks under the offence of running an alt-coin giveaway. However this wasn't an altcoin giveaway and I feel like I was wrongly banned. Is their anyway I can get a moderator to look at my thread and unlock it and also unban me? I put a lot of work into this new protocol and "coin" that I had built and I hate for it to hit a roadblock or even complete stop like this. Thanks.

My Username is: CryptoCasino
and the thread was: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499415.120 Huh
No, that is very blatantly against the rules.

Rule of thumb: if we have to delete more than a few posts from the first few pages of your thread due to lack of content, you probably violated the rules. You will not be unbanned early and the thread will not be unlocked.

But their are other coins that use equal distribution to distribute their coins NEM, BitXfund etc. Why are their threads allowed to continue while mine gets locked? Can I please just get a moderator to look into this?

how is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499216.80 not considered a giveaway thread and mine is?
Thanks! I have removed the thread and requested a ban for the user.

Huh. Okay. So not brazen then. Skirting the rules, IMO.
He didn't break any rules.

Read first post carefully. Spam has been banned, not giveaway threads.
You can host your giveaways here and let people post their addresses somewhere else, so they don't spam the topics with addresses.

How so? It's only a violation for people who can't read.

Does make for a good honeypot though.

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

Then why is this thread the most active one?

Some giveaways are scams. Promises 1000 coins for so many tasks then sends 0.01 coins lol.

the problem was that people could do this without any repercussions .... there was no banning from the site for running such scams.. but instead of removing scammers they removed giveaways... and NOW promise to ban "spammers" who wish to give away coins here, ... in other words, you could run fake giveaways continuously for months, but now can't do a real giveaway at all, quite ironic
