the Y in GlobalBoost-Y.pro is uppercase

Read the readme files for compiling.

I followed the directions and installed a few things and it compiled just fine

Been mining on Ubuntu 14 since yesterday, managed to mine almost 7K so far

it works until make: *** [build/bitcoin.o] error 1

any ideas?

Good old Ram does it again! Smiley

will there be a linux release?

Check the readme qt file to compile linux gui

and for linux mining?

I believe that once you get the Linux wallet compiled you should be able to mine.  Make sure you are synced completely before you start mining.  If you do not you will run into a little issue.  We only have mining from the wallet now.  We are working on getting a stratum developed for the new algo.  We have a wallet update that should be out very soon, so that will take priority as it is to improve and already awesome wallet.   Smiley

it tried compiling on ubuntu 14.4, but every time ( and every folder ) i get the same issue... Globalboost-y.pro
Cannot find file: Globalboost-y.pro.

yes, we have planned to release the Mac Wallet, the Ubuntu x32 and X64, the CEntos and the Fedora Wallet. Probably during the weekend or next week after fixing bugs

This medicine will fix you:
Join us on the IRC if you are still having problems: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.kiwiirc.com/#GlobalBoost

0 connections with nodes after 10 minutes... what's wrong?

Thanks BSTDev!
Here is the clickable link to download the file: https://mega.co.nz/#!skFnnY4b!w59FbMCNjSAXmh3vbzFgCn3gD51jfwq6Cz9dFwmsPEs

remove your old block chain, keep the wallet and the globalboost.conf

download this file https://mega.co.nz/#!skFnnY4b!w59FbMCNjSAXmh3vbzFgCn3gD51jfwq6Cz9dFwmsPEs

and copy it to the place where you remove the old blockchain

the file contains the blockchain until block 284 and 4 good peers

if everything is good, then you will get the latest blocks and more peers

I think you are going to need to do this:
Join us on the IRC if you are still having problems: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.kiwiirc.com/#GlobalBoost

so i have 0 connections to the network and 99% of blocks i mined are orphans.

Whats wrong here? wallet has full rights

Thanks BSTDev!

***Edit 1***

actually, here you go! via sigwo http://hastebin.com/equzomeqod.coffee

       ok, do you have system folders viewable? So, open the start menu
       and typ in %APPDATA%
       You will see a folder called "GlobalBoostY"
       thx
       Right click -> New -> Text Document
       type globalboost.conf
       press the del (not backspace) to get rid of the .txt
                 open the file and copy/paste

       server=1
       daemon=1
       rpcuser=yourusername
       rpcpassword=yourpassword
       dnsseed=1
       irc=0
       rpcthreads=100
       addnode=104.131.45.62

       then save that file
       with that folder open, you need to delete everything EXCEPT THE GLOBALBOOST.CONF AND THE WALLET.DAT
       you should only have globalboost.conf and wallet.dat left in the folder
       make sure the wallet is closed
       before doing that. or you will have to do it again
       so you should only have the .conf and wallet.dat in that directory, with no wallet running

if it's not working, join us on the IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.kiwiirc.com/#GlobalBoost

if you did these steps, and tried to mine before the wallet synced.. then you may need to perform the steps again.. Don't start mining until the wallet syncs.

Stops at the 130 block http://prntscr.com/4l8n8k

my athlons got this problem

tried deleting all but wallet.dat and adding nodes to conf been like it for 20 minutes ish though

connecting fine just not getting blocks / syncing  Huh

I exited the wallet and tried to restart but I get this messgae:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Any ideas how to fix the wallet?

What's the best setup for i5 and i7?
same for everybody, install wallet, run, start mining solo for as many threads as you have cores, or as many threads as 2x cores if hyperthreading.  or add threads til you dont notice an increase in hash. (monitor temps)
What about the scan time?
i dont know where you would change scantime as theres no standalone miner, but with a 10 min blocktime im sure any reasonable scantime will be fine. if you wanted to save bandwidth generally increase scantime..
*apologies im not looking at the wallet this second. if it has scantime as an option just put in a default 10-15 seconds is what i run on gpu miners for coins over 1 min blocktimes. then again im not an expert...
Thanks for the response.
