The range has been narrowing, and in a curved pattern far more likely to form a cup than a drop-off. Volume is staring you in the face as well. Thanks for giving us your money! Smiley

You forgot the part about how gold didn't collapse and how your in the red on your GLD short.

It is nice to see BTC hit 6 again.  When BTC hits 30 thu, then it will really be UP Wink.

Lets see some new alltime highs in BTC Wink

I'm tired of BTC being down here in the mud after the collapse from 30.

Now if Ben can just back me up next week..
like i said, what an investment thesis! Smiley

Gold is rising regardless; B-Boy just adds fuel to the fire.

You might not have noticed, but everything is building pressure against the dollar. The efforts made to prop up US junk are exhausted and this weekend will be used as cover to let markets flow the way they want. It's like fishing - when the line seems too taught and about to break, you give slack. Always with as much control as possible. I hope you're using tight stops.

Might as well back up the truck, silverbox - it's going to be a fun ride Smiley

I'm considering selling some oil stock and buying one or two juinor silver miners atm..

Any thoughts??  Grin Wink

I thought about it and went ahead and pulled the trigger.

Since Cypher disclosed his 152 GLD short (btw did you cover yet cypher?)

I bought GPL at 1.97 today.  You can record this one. (for better or worser) Wink

Now if Ben can just back me up next week..

no i didn't.  in fact, i've added shorts to RGLD, SLW, GG, ZSL, DZZ and SLV since that time several of which have gone positive since i put them on. Grin

Wow, well I'm betting the other way, so I can't say I hope that works out for you Wink

I hate to have Fiat laying around on bankrupt banks:
is it time to buy silver and gold? (could $27 / $1539 be the bottom?)
what do you expect to happen with the silver/gold price if greece stays into the euro-zone, what if not?

i would buy Bitcoin.  since the beginning of this thread (despite a price dump due to negative Bitcoinica news from $5.4 to $4.6 three days after) Bitcoin has outperformed gold +11% to -4%.

actually my subs don't have to vouch for anything.  i wrote everything right here in this thread.  go back and check.

I remember.  No need to check.  Just wondering if you covered yet, as the dollar index is falling..

Don't get caught with your pants down with QE3, euro gold bonds, and a falling dollar index  all on the table...

USDX isnt falling... not until its below $81 would I call it falling.

EDIT $82 is an important level too... just not as important IMO

We didnt even test $82...

EDIT: Metals are inching up with the dollar now... interesting

$82 tested and defended... didnt get close to $81...

USD goes up from here.

USD double bottom on the hourly time frame at  ~$81.75.

Gold and Silver will finish down today.

Double bottom failed.  Im probably wrong about today...

If you're looking to acquire physical metal, now is the time. Any price below USD$1,800 is a deep discount.

Possibly. I'd be wary of putting a position on now; some brokers are even closing down pre-market trading altogether until after the Greek drama on the 17th, reducing liquidity.

Hard to tell. I'd expect that a good bit of the high gold price is indeed a bubble, but the financial crisis might have superimposed a genuine rise. The problem is how to value gold if things go bad. Some countries hold gold reserves and might start spending them, and just fiat currencies inflating away does not mean that gold actually increased in value.

Given that the US might hold on for quite a bit longer despite their enormous debt, it's still possible for Gold/USD to crash.

Greece... I don't know if it still matters that much. If the ECB starts giving in further, expect currency instabilities; if it doesn't, expect more governments to collapse. This decision is what really matters. It determines what breaks down first.
