There is a lot at play at the moment, those who want the price to fall so
they can buy, those who want the price to rise, those who dont care
because they look to the future, those who made the wrong decisions
and who are sore. One thing I believe is that as soon as bitcoin
gathers momentum in a positive way everyone interested will jump
on board, it just hasnt started yet and could take a while too.

you can never stop bitcoin adoption. it will always grow. all they can do is to slow it down sometimes but it will continue to happen and this is only one of many indications of the growth of adoption all around the world. but let's not forget that the recent price drop has made a lot of newbie traders ultra active recently which you can also see on this forum, they make lots of accounts on every social media platform such as bitcointalk and reddit,... then start spreading nonsense about bitcoin thinking they are spreading "FUD" because they hope to make profit but they can't trade like everyone else.

Bitcoin prices are down sharply, but there are still a lot of people interested in bitcoin. Evidence that the number of  people discussing bitcoin on Reddit has increased dramatically. TheMos moderator is also mentioned in this article. Has anyone explained to me about Themos's information, he's simply the bitcoin community manager on the big forums: Bitcoin talk, Reddit..  Or did he participate in Bitcoin's network development department, like Vitalik Buterin of Ethereum?

Sorry to punch Your optimism into face, but statistics dont approve, what You just have said.

Actual usage of BTC doesnt change significantly.

As an average deal, trading BTC is dying off.

i wouldn't really consider a reddit sub as a good indication of "good news" or "adoption" of bitcoin although it shows that too. mostly social media is filled with spammers and trolls rather than proving anything about adoption which can then be considered good news.
for that you have to check how many merchants are accepting bitcoin, how many transactions are being processed, how many full nodes there are, and the newest thing is: how many LN nodes with how much capacity is there

"maybe Theymos is Satoshi Nakamoto" that would explain a lot don't you think?
Nope, if you search more deeper you will find out that Satoshi Nakamoto isnt a person but its a group also if its Theymos or if Theymos is a part of it why he is not working too much to promote bitcoin or make some events etc. to attract other peoples attention.

As the saying goes "strike while the iron is hot" when price is in downfall maybe it's time to grab the opportunity to buy and hold it for long term for time comes that price would increase then it will sure earn profit.

Yes, https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/ reached a new milestone, when it reached a subscriber base above 1 million users. Even though the price are dropping, people still subscribe to one of the most popular communities on Reddit.  Grin

It is debateable if these subscribers are all new users that are interested in Bitcoin or if it is people who subscribed to "bash" and "attack" bitcoin. If you look at the childish comments of a lot of them, it just looks like a bunch of shills and butthurt coiners that wants to lash out against Bitcoin.  Tongue

actually people who buy bitcoin at the current price, are they interested in bitcoin or are they interested in bitcoin trading profits?
the majority of users buy bitcoin at current prices because they aim to sell it back at more expensive prices
the good effect is, the bitcoin transaction volume will be maintained by these traders, so the liquidity of bitcoin can also be maintained

When the price rises sharply, it will attract people's attention. Similarly, when the bubble bursts, it can also attract people's interest. Those who have been belittle the bitcoin before can come out and claim that "the one that I said before is correct, those who buy bitcoin are idiots."
